MIRACLE AT 3400 MASS. AVE.
FINAL WORDS

This is a love story between two people, that began with their love
Of God, was passed on to me, my two sisters, and to their grandchildren.

My mother first met my father when she was 15 years old.  Their first
Dates were to the “Fatima” novena on Friday night, at the old Saint
Andrew’s Church, in the Manchester section of Pittsburgh, Pa.  She
Indeed told me that she had only one other date in her entire life.
Someone else had scheduled two dates in the same night and she
Was asked to stand in for one of them.

I believe my personal promise to God, on my deathbed when I was 22,
Is not only my personal covenant with God, but may have significance
For every human being in this world today.

I believe we need to get back to being a culture of life not death.
And I believe we are to get back to putting God first-above science,
Above money and materialism, and above our own selfish sexuality,
Whatever that may be.  We need to get back to being a culture where
God matters, where family value matters, and where the dignity of
Every human being is of significance.  Particularly children and older
People.

Finally, I just want to say thank you to my family, my extended family,
My friends, and all those who supported me in my many times of need
Over the years.  God bless you all.

With particular thanks to:

1.              My sister Terri-who has never let me down
2.              John and Karen Murphy-for all you’ve been to us over the years
3.              John and Karen Williams-for the unexpected gifts

With gratitude to God and all of you.

Thank you for being a part of my life and letting me be a part of yours.

Humbly,

Robert P. Wallman

THE LAST APOSTLE

You
You
You are the last Apostle
You you
You are
The last man standing

What are you going to do
Maybe it’s just for pretend
Maybe it’s all
Just in your head

But what
What if it is true
That you are
The last man standing
That the fate
Of the world
Depends on you

Are you
Going to live a life
Based totally on love
Are you
Going to live a life
Based totally on forgiveness
Are you
Going to live a life
Based totally on kindness

What if it is true
What if it is
Not just for pretend
What if it is
Not just in your head
That you are
The last man standing
And it all
Depends on you

What if you
Really are the world’s
Last true Apostle
And it all
Just depends on you

You
Just what are
You going to do

Robert P. Wallman

Ps        APOSTLE is the term given to the followers of Christ
Who founded the early church; particularly the 12 disciples and Paul

This poem is for myself and ALL the Lord’s true followers in today’s world

I prayed my entire life, that if I lived 2000 years ago
I would not have run away when all the other Apostles did
I will NEVER know the answer to that-but I am still HERE today
TRYING to live a life BASED on God’s love and Christ’s teachings

THE HOLY INNOCENTS OF TODAY

In the Catholic Church
On December 28th,
There is a feast day
Dedicated to the children of Bethlehem
Killed by the tyrant-Herod the Great

Told by the Magi
Of the birth of a new king
He tried to eliminate ALL possible rivals

“Then Herod called the Magi secretly
And found out from them
The exact time the star had appeared
He sent them to Bethlehem and said,

“Go and make
A careful search for the child
As soon as you find him
Report to me
So that I too
May go and worship him”                                                      Matthew 2:7-8

But the Magi were too smart for him
After being warned in a dream
Not to go back to Herod
They returned to their country
By a different route

And Mary and Joseph
Fled to Egypt with Jesus
As Herod killed all the first born sons in Bethlehem

Thus the Holy Innocents
Are considered to be martyrs-BECAUSE
Not only did they die for Christ
Bit they died
In place of Christ

But the story
DOES NOT END THERE

Children today
Are being used as gun-toting soldiers
And we have case after case
Of children being sexually abused
And on and on and on

Children are paying for adult crimes
In every country
In every area of life

And most recently
We have the tragedy
In Newtown, Connecticut
Where 26 innocent people were killed
Including twenty children

Let the children come
WHAT ARE WE DOING
To our children
It is time for GOOD people
To stand up
To be a positive example for our children

“Let the children come to me
And do not hinder them
For the KINGDOM OF GOD
Belongs to such as these

I tell you the truth
Anyone who will not receive
The kingdom of God
Like a little child
Will never enter into it”

And he took the children
Into his arms
Put his hands on them and blessed them”                                               Mark 10:14-16

Dear Lord-we pray
For the Holy Innocent children
Lost and hurt 2,000 years ago
And we pray
For all the innocent children
Lost and hurt through all the years
As well as in today’s evil world

“And he said,

“I tell you the truth
Unless you change and become
Like little children
You will never
Enter into the kingdom of heaven

Therefore whoever humbles himself
Like this child
Is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven

And whoever welcomes a little child
Like this-WELCOMES ME”                                                         Matthew 18:3-5

LORD-PLEASE HELP US
To build a safer country and world
For our children
So we can truly say.

“LET THEM COME”

Robert P. Wallman
12-28-12

Ps        Today is the feast of the HOLY FAMILY-Dear Lord-we pray for ALL
Families today that they might be able to LIVE with that same peace,
Unity, and LOVE that the Holy Family-Jesus-Mary-and Joseph did

And we pray for the SAFETY of all our children-and that we BEGIN
To BUILD a better world for them

DECEMBER 30th, 2012

The Miracle Continues-HOPE AND GRATITUDE

In my 22nd miracle
I told the story
Of how God saved my life
When I was given zero per cent chance to live
And I told the story
Of the promise I made to God,
“To live for my family, my friends,
And ALL people everywhere,”
If God continued to sustain me with life

I consider my promise to God
My personal promise-my personal covenant
With God
I can honestly tell you
That not a day has gone by
Without me thinking of that promise
At least once

I can tell you
God has answered my promise with affirmation
Because here I sit some 33 plus years later
And while my life
Has not been the greatest
Of lives by human standards
Or even the life I would have chosen for myself
I have done my very best
To keep up my end of the promise

Because of the extended blessing of life
That God has given to me
I got to spend many happy occasions
With my family-both immediate and extended
I got to sit with my mother-holding my father’s hand as he died
Earlier this year-I got to take care of my mom
And sit with my sister-holding her hand as she died
I still have the pleasure of talking to each of my sisters
Every day
My sister, Mary, has four beautiful daughters
And I have received the gift of spending much time
With them and seeing them grow

For my part-I have tried to extend my witnessing of God
To as many people as possible
I have been baptized four times-in various churches-and four
Different denominations-ALL CHRISTIAN- over the years
I have shared my story both verbally-and through my poetry
To as many people as possible

I have ALWAYS wanted my own family and children
But it never did really happen for me
But about four years ago I met a woman to share my life with
As a friend-I call her “Maggie”
She told me that she always wanted to meet someone
That could teach her about God
And there is nothing I like more than talking about God
So we attend church together on Sunday-and several times a week
We study the Bible together
She has been baptized in the church we both currently attend

And so some 33 plus years later-I am still alive
And I believe that there is a universal message
That I am meant to share through my life

HOPE

It used to be
That we had to die for our Christianity
Today-we must LIVE for it
The ultimate message of our life is one of hope
If we unite our lives with Jesus
And share our successes and sufferings

Our responsibilities as Christians
Is to live lives based on mercy-justice-forgiveness
Self-sacrifice and self-denial
The Christian message is one of HOPE- not just for one of us
But for ALL of us

GRATITUDE

One of my favorite passages in the Bible is the story
Where Jesus heals ten lepers
But only one comes back to say thank you
Jesus says,
“Were not all ten cleansed?  Where are the other nine?
Was no one found to return and give praise to God
Except this foreigner?”        Luke 17:17

And I say, “Thank you Lord”
I thank you for the Divine insight to make my promise
To you all those years ago
I thank you for the graciousness in your answer to my promise
I thank you FOR THIS GIFT OF LIFE
I thank you for the gift of time with my father, and my mother,
My sisters, my nieces, my entire family-both immediate and extended
My friends, and my churches

And finally-Dear Lord
We ask you to help us, HELP ME, to always come back
And say thank you
And help us, help me
To let you shine so thoroughly through us and in us
That people no longer see us
BUT ONLY YOU

THROUGH IT ALL

Through it all
There was love
There was always love

Through every untenable situation
There was love
There was always love

Through every nasty word
About me or my family
There was love
There was always love

Through every unkind thought, rumor, or gossip
There was love
There was always love

There was always love

I have drawn you with loving kindness
I will build you up again
And you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel
Again you will take up your tambourines
And go out to dance with the joyful”                                              Jeremiah 31:3-4

ONLY GOD KNOWS

I built my life
On life
I built my life
On trust
I built my life
On honesty

Will it stand
The test of time
Only God knows

I built my life
On kindness
I built my life
On forgiveness
I built my life
On trying to help others

Will it stand
The test of time
Only God knows

Only God knows
If I am right
Only God knows
If I am wrong
Only God knows
If am singing
A true true song

Only God knows

THIS ONE IS FOR THE ROAD

This one is for the road
For none of us know
How far
Or in what direction
The road goes

This one is for the road
The road we’ve taken
And the roads we’ve let go

This one is for the road
The roads
We will take
And the roads
We will let go

This one is for the road
Hoping I’ve met God and you
Along the way

This one is for the road
Hoping we touched each other
With a little love and kindness
Along the way

This one is for the road

Robert P. Wallman

Ps        May God DIRECT your path and my path in 2013; to the ROAD that leads us to
Him and to love and happiness

“Enter through the narrow gate-for wide is the gate and broad is the ROAD
That leads to destruction and many enter through it-but small is the gate
And narrow the ROAD that leads to life-and only a few find it”
        Matthew 7:13-14

“DIRECT me in the path of your commands-for there I find delight”          Psalm 119:35

“By day the Lord DIRECTS his love-at night his song with me
A prayer to the GOD OF MY LIFE”                                                            Psalm 42:8

FOREVER TOGETHER---STEPHEN AND PAUL

There are 2 men
In my mind from the Bible
That will be forever
Linked together

Stephen---the first Christian martyr
Who gave up his life for Christ
And Saul---later Paul
Who stood by and approved
Maybe, in fact, even ordered Stephen’s death

Forever together
You and me
Forever linked with God
Forever in God’s word
And in God’s heart
That’s the way it has to be

When they began stoning Stephen
As Saul stood by and watched
Stephen prayed,
“Lord Jesus receive my spirit
Lord do not hold this sin
Against them”

And, of course, God heard Stephen’s prayer
As he hears yours and mine

Out of death---grew life
The death of Stephen---turned in to
The life of Paul
And the beginnings of Christianity

Picture this
You are a great hater of God
And the new Christian movement

You have persecuted many Christians
And it is widely known

As you near
The end of your journey
A light flashes around you---a light from Heaven
You get knocked to the ground
And you hear a voice say,

“Saul Saul why do you persecute me
Go in to the city
And you will be told what to do”

You slowly get up off the ground
You cannot see a thing
Your traveling companions
Don’t know what has happened

The lord sends Ananias
To place hands on you

Scales from Saul’s eyes fall off
Saul can see again
See better than ever
Saul becomes baptized
Filled with the Holy Spirit
And has great vision for God’s new Kingdom

Forever together---Stephen and Paul
Out of death grows life
Life and the vision for a brand new world

How about you and me
Can our life be converted
Can our life be changed
To a life devoted to God
To a life of loving others

Forever together---Stephen and Paul
Forever together---you and me
Forever together---God and us
Tell me Lord---can it be

“For whoever wants to save his life
Will lose it
But whoever loses his life for me
Will find it”                                                                         Matthew 16:25

Forever together Lord
You---Stephen---and Paul
Forever together Lord
You and us

Forever together Lord
For out of death comes life

Forever together Lord
You and me

GREATNESS

In the XXIII chapter
Of Saint Matthew’s Gospel
Jesus tells us
How to be great

He tells us
The greatest among you
Will be the servant
Of everyone else
He tells us
He who humbles himself for others
Will be in fact great

Are you serious Lord

Couldn’t we just aspire
To be rich and famous
Like everyone else

Jesus goes on
To tell us
That the greatest single quality
That a human being can have
Is sincerity

Think about it
Can you build a relationship
On insincere love
Or build a life
By going out every day
With insincere faith and hope
What are you
Trying to accomplish

The challenge
In this world
Is to be real
The challenge
Is to be sincere
In our faith, hope, and love
In God
And in all others

So dear Lord
We pray to you
For honesty, humility, and sincerity
And that we take no offense
When others are thought of
In higher esteem than us

And finally
Dear Lord
We pray that you
Meek and humble of heart
Will make our heart
Like your heart

Ps      “The GREATEST among you will be your servant
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled
And whoever humbles himself will be exalted”                                Matthew  23:11

Today is also the feast day of SAINT STEPHEN-the first Christian martyr
He was stoned to death for his faith

THE GREATEST COMPLIMENT

The greatest compliment
That we can
Give another human being
Is to tell them
That they are
An imitator of Christ
That they live with
Christ’s spirit in them

So how can we be
How will we be
Imitations of Christ
In today’s world

Be perfect
In love
For every human being

Be an imitator
Of Christ

Be perfect
In forgiveness
For every human being

Be an imitator
Of Christ

Be like Saint Francis of Assisi
Clothe the naked
Feed the poor
House the homeless
Even if
You can do it
For just one

Be an imitator of Christ
Be an imitator of Saint Francis
Be perfect in love
For the lost
And the forlorn

Be perfect
In kindness
For every human being

Be an imitator
Of Christ
And though

We may not be perfect
 But as long as
We try to do what we can

Maybe someday
Maybe someway
Someone will say to you

“You are an imitation of Christ
Christ’s spirit lives in you”

Robert P. Wallman
2-28-11

Ps        On today-Christ’s birthday-please let us all try to bring Christ’s
Spirit alive again in today’s world

“Be PERFECT-therefore-as your heavenly Father is PERFECT”        Matthew 5:48

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you-for my power-
Is made PERFECT in you”

Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses
So that Christ’s power will rest on me”                                         2 Corinthians 12:9

CHRISTMAS EVE AT THE WALLMANS

From the time we lived at Massachusetts Avenue (1-31-63 to 11-30-98)
We always had the greatest Christmas Eves
Thanks to my mother and father

As a young boy-my two sisters and I-would be surprised
When the elves came
The elves would always bring us pajamas and slippers

My dad would sometimes be cussing
I didn’t know what it was about at the time-but as I got older
I came to understand that he was usually trying to put something
Together ( ie. a bike for my sisters or me )

Often times-we would go to midnight Mass
Except my father-who would sneak off to bed
Even when we had a houseful

And that is what I remember most, the “HOUSEFULS”
We always had an Open House on Christmas Eve

My friends-my sisters’ friends-and even some of my father’s and mother’s friends
Would show up-down through the years
Sometimes-some of our relatives would be there too
If they were just looking to have some fun

It would usually start with Rick and Patty coming after 6:00or 7:00 pm Mass
And as they got older-they would show up with their children-Samantha and Tim
They even came one year less than a week after Timmy was born

Also showing up were Rich and Betty Ann (when they were still married)
And their beautiful daughter Bridget
And Ed and Debbie and their daughter-Samantha
Ray and Arlene and their family
And many other family and friends

Most of it-was just clean fun
But we did have our own version of  “The Twelve Days of Christmas”
And “Pup” singing C is for the Christ child
I will always remember Pup
He died in 1979 in a motorcycle accident
He always carried a “magnum” gun with him everywhere he went
When he came into our house on Christmas Eve
He would take them out and give them to me at the door

And after my cousin, Donny, got divorced
We had our own version of “Same Time-Nest Year”
With him and Rooster

What wonderful memories I have of “CHRISTMAS EVE AT THE WALLMANS”

And when we moved in 1998-my mother wrote the following poem

As we turn out the lights and
Lock the door of this old house
Not a creature is stirring
Not even the proverbial mouse.

Hush!  Quiet and silence.  Can you believe!!!
Any day of the year, but Christmas Eve!!!

Now we REALLY KNOW it’s time to go
But before we do, we want you to know

Through the love and the joy, the laughter & tears
That you have imparted, you have enriched
Our lives all these past 36 years.

If these walls could talk, what tales they would tell
No need, however, we remember them well.

For caring and sharing and just being there
Our love, thanks and warmest wishes for a
Happy New Year.

THE LOYALTY OF FRIENDSHIP

The loyalty of friendship
Is in my heart
The loyalty of friendship
Is in my soul
The loyalty of friendship
Is to God
The loyalty of friendship
Is to everyone

The loyalty of friendship
Is to my churches
The loyalty of friendship
Is to my family too
The loyalty of my friendship
Is to everyone

Those I have met
And those I haven’t met too

The loyalty of my friendship
Is to God
The loyalty of my friendship
Is to everyone

Because my life belongs to God
And everyone in this world too

The loyalty of my friendship
Belongs to you

“Two are better than one-because they have
A good return for their work
If one falls down-his FRIEND can help him up
But pity the man who falls and has no one
               To help him up

Also-if two lie down together-they will keep warm
But how can one keep warm alone
               Though one may be overpowered
               Two can defend themselves
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken”

MY ROLE MODEL        by Allison Appleby

A role model to me is someone who has lived their life in a special way or
Done something remarkable.  He is someone worth modeling your life after.
I chose my Uncle John Murphy as my role model because he had a lot of wisdom
About life that he shared with me.  Uncle John had compassion and concern,
Perseverance, and family was the most important part of his life.  These are
Qualities that make him my role model.

Uncle John had compassion and concern because he was always making sure
That everyone was ok.  When I was on vacation in North Carolina, he was always
Concerned if I had enough sunscreen on, so I wouldn’t get burned.  When he found
Out I didn’t, he was mad.  Uncle John was very persistent.  People admired his
Work because he could build a stereo, cabinets, wire a  room,  and even design
Things for his kids.  He didn’t learn to do these things in school, but instead he
Told me you could do anything if you persevere.  He always put family first by
Inviting everyone to his house or on vacation.  He went on vacation every year
With his family.  Basically, he put his family as the center of his life.

In conclusion, Uncle John Murphy is my role model because his life was
Admirable.  The end of his life was the best example of his perseverance, his
Compassion for everyone, even though he was the one that was sick, he continued
To show extreme closeness to his family. I hope to live up to his example as I get
Older.  I think everyone’s role model should be something like my uncle.

Ps        Today would have been my Uncle John’s birthday.

“You were the MODEL of perfection full of wisdom
And perfect in beauty”                                                      Ezekiel 28:12

“And so you became a MODEL to all the believers
In Macedonia and Achaia-your FAITH IN GOD
Has become known everywhere”                                        1 Thessalonians 1:7

“We did this, not because we do not have the right
To such help-but in order to make ourselves
A MODEL for you to follow.”                                              2 Thessalonians 3:9

I WON’T QUIT

I won’t quit
On this dream
I won’t quit
On this life
I won’t quit
But it is possible
I may run out of steam

I may want to quit
But I won’t
I wanted to quit
Many times before
But I didn’t
I wanted to throw in the towel
But it
Only lasts awhile

I want to quit
But my heart won’t let me
I want to quit
But my soul screams
It’s not ready
I want to quit
But my mind says
Get on with the show

I won’t quit
On this dream
I won’t quit
On this life
I won’t quit
But it is possible
I may run out of steam

I won’t quit

Ps        “For everything that was written in the past
             Was written to teach us
So that through ENDURANCE and the encouragement
Of the Scriptures we might have HOPE”                                          Romans 15:4

“If we are distressed-it is for your comfort and salvation
If we are comforted-it is for your comfort
Which produces in you patient ENDURANCE
Of the same sufferings we suffer”                                        2 Corinthians 1:6

              “May his name ENDURE forever
May it continue as long as the sun

I THINK I WOULD FALL DOWN

Imaging this
In today’s world

A great man---a Holy Reverent man
Is in your town
And in a parade---on foot

You are well off
A tax collector---working for the government
Or perhaps a CPA

You are a short man
And you cannot see
This Holy Reverent man
So you run away
And climb a tree
So that you can see

As this Holy Man
Passes by you he says,
“Zacchaeus, come down immediately
I want to stay in your house tonight”

You have this bad reputation
Because you are a tax collector
And all the people
Begin to talk about you

You are in awe
That he chose you
To come to your house and stay
You think,
“Why me?”

I don’t know about you
But I think
I would be so stunned
That I would fall down
I would fall
Right out of the tree

You are so touched
That this Holy Man
Has chosen you,
That you say,

               “ Lord, here and now
I give all of my possessions
                  To the poor,
                  If I have cheated anyone
I will pay back 4x the amount”                                             1 Luke 19:8

Jesus said to Zacchaeus,

“Today, salvation has come to this house
                  Because this man, too
                  Is a Son of Abraham
For the Son of Man came to seek
And to SAVE what was lost”                                               1 Luke 19:9&10

GOD HAS A PLAN

Your plan may fail
Your plan
May not get you through

If that happens
God has a plan
A plan
That’s bigger than you

God has a plan
That is perfect
God has a plan
That is true
God has a plan
That is bigger
A plan that is
Bigger than you

God has a master plan
A plan
That is bigger than you

Ps        “Then Job replied to the Lord:
“I know that you can do all things
No PLAN of yours can be thwarted”                                                     Job 42:1-2

“Do not those who plot evil go astray
But those who PLAN what is good
Find love and faithfulness”                                                             Proverbs 14:22

“In him we were also chosen-having been predestined
According to the PLAN of him who works out everything
In conformity with the purpose of his will
In order that we-who were the first to HOPE in Christ
Might be for the praise of his glory”                                           Ephesians 1:11-12

SING A SONG OF LOVE

Make a wrong-right
Do something for someone else
Sing a new song

Sing a song of love
Sing a song of kindness
The world is such a mess
Maybe it’s time
To try a new way

A new way of love
A new way
Of looking at the world
What would be the harm
Could this world get any worse

Don’t sing a song of hatred
Sing a song of love
Don’t sing a song
Of rape and murder
Sing a song of love
Don’t sing a song of child abuse
Sing a song of loving our children
Sing a song of love

Make a wrong-RIGHT
Do something for someone else
Sing a song of love

Sing a SONG OF LOVE

Ps      The Lord said to Moses:  “Now write down for yourselves
This SONG and teach it to the Israelites and have them sing it
So that it may be a WITNESS for me against them”
          Deuteronomy 31:19

“He put a new SONG in my mouth-a hymn of praise to our God
Many will see and fear- and put their trust in the Lord”
            Psalm 40:3

“Sing to the Lord a new SONG
Sing to the Lord all the earth
Sing to the Lord praise his name
Proclaim his salvation day after day”                                  Psalm 96:1-2

KNOWLEDGE AND ARROGANCE

Have you ever been around
Someone who is arrogant
Someone-who knows it all

Who KNOWS everything

Knowledge is great
But these people can be tedious
So full of their own self-importance

It is knowledge of God
And God’s ways
That are most important

“Granted
But they were broken off
Because of unbelief
And you stand by FAITH

Do not be arrogant
But be afraid

For if God
Did not spare the natural branches
He will not
Spare you either”                                                                     Romans 11:20

PUT ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

“The fear of the Lord
Is the beginning of knowledge
But fools
Despise wisdom and discipline”                                               Proverbs 1:7

Living off the knowledge of man

Put on
The knowledge of God

“We know that
We all possess knowledge

Knowledge puffs up
BUT LOVE BUILDS UP

The man
Who thinks he knows something
Does not yet know
As he ought to know

But the man
WHO LOVES GOD
IS KNOWN BY GOD”                                                                 1 Corinthians 8:1-3

Knowledge puffs up
Love puffs up
LOVE GOD
LOVE OTHERS

“And I pray that you
Being rooted and established in love
May have power
Together with all the saints
To grasp how wide and long
And high and deep
IS THE LOVE OF CHRIST

And to know this love
That surpasses knowledge-
-That you may be filled
To the measure
Of ALL the fullness of God”                                                              Ephesians 3:17-19

All earthly knowledge
Is somewhat arrogant
If used to rely on oneself

But godly knowledge
In humility
Is built upon
TOTAL dependency on God

Knowledge puffs up
LOVE BUILDS UP

Love God
Love others

This is the knowledge
That is built
ON GOD’S  OWN WORDS

IF

If God can accept me
The way that I am
Why can’t you

If God can love me
The way that I am
Why can’t you

If God can forgive me
The way that I am
Why can’t you

If we are ALL God’s children
And God can
Love me the way that I am
Why oh why can’t you

WHY CAN’T YOU

Ps        “The Lord has heard my cry for mercy
The Lord ACCEPTS my prayer”                                      Psalm 6:9

“I tell you the truth-whoever ACCEPTS anyone
             That I send-ACCEPTS me
             And whoever ACCEPTS me
ACCEPTS the one who sent me”                                    John 13:20

“ACCEPT one another-then-just as Christ ACCEPTED you
In order to bring praise to God”                                              Romans 15:7

FAILURE

I have been a failure
In this world
In every walk of life

But when I was down
While I was out
I learned
Through the school of hard knocks

I learned what is important
It’s God
I learned what is important
It’s love
I learned what’s important
It’s kindness
I learned what’s important
It’s mercy and forgiveness

I still go
The school of hard knocks
I know I will never graduate
Because there is no end to them

I did learn a few things
Along the way
But I still go to
The school of hard knocks

It’s a hard knock life
But I learned
A few things along the way

Learn what’s important
It’s a hard-knock life

Ps        For ALL of us facing overwhelming challenges

“No man is a FAILURE who has friends”
The angel Clarence to George Bailey in, “IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE”

And while we may be a failure by the world’s standards, we ARE NEVER
A failure with GOD-as long as we continue to try

“I will maintain my love to him forever
My covenant with him will NEVER FAIL”                                 Psalm 89:28

“But my salvation will last forever
My righteousness will NEVER FAIL”                                       Isaiah 51:6

A HEART IN THE RIGHT PLACE

We all have problems
We all have difficulties
But we can overcome it all
We can keep pace
We can overcome it all
With a heart
In the right place

A heart
In the right place
Can give our heart
A shove
A heart in the right place
Can even lead to love

A heart
In the right place
Can overcome it all
A heart
In the right place
Can pick us up
Even when we fall

We can overcome it all
With
A heart in the right place

Ps        Your heart is your CENTER-figuratively-the part that gives you your direction

“Create in me a CLEAN HEART-Oh God- and
Renew a steadfast spirit within me”                                                               Psalm 51:10

“Above all else-guard your HEART
For it is the wellspring of life”                                                                       Proverbs 4:23
