HE ASKS US TOO!

(“DO YOU LOVE ME?”)

 

Today Jesus ASKS Peter a question=And it is a QUESTION=He asks us too=

EVERY single day=Of our lives=Do You LOVE ME?=Three times=He asks Peter=

This question today=”Simon=Son of John=DO YOU LOVE ME?”                                       John 21:6

 

ANYONE=that has EVER LOVED anyone=in this life=and I dear say=That

INCLUDES all of us=Knows love=comes with a COST=a price=and knows=

That love REQUIRES=sacrifices-costs=There are two questions here=Do

WE love Jesus=and HOW MUCH=are we willing=to GIVE out of total life=BACK

To him?=Peter eventually Gave his whole life=SO did the other apostles=CAN

WE say yes to this question=Can we BE 21^st CENTURY APOSTLES=and modern

Day Christians=for the cause=JESUS ASKS US TOO=”DO YOU LOVE ME?”

 

In 1 Corinthians 13=Saint Paul=gives us=THE MOST Honest=the most true=The

Most PROFOUND definition of LOVE=”LOVE is patient=Love is kind=It does not

Envy=It does not boast=It is not proud=It does not dishonor others=It is not self-

Seeking=It is not easily angered

It KEEPS no record of wrongs=LOVE does not delight in evil=It always protects=Always

Trusts=always Hopes=always perseveres=LOVE NEVER FAILS”                             1 Corinthians 13:4-8

“And now these three remain=Faith=Hope=and LOVE=But the greatest of these

IS LOVE”                                                                                                                                               1 Corinthians 13:13

 

Do you LOVE Christ=the WAY Peter did?=and the other apostles=ENOUGH to die for

Him?=I am NOT saying=WE need to die for Jesus=and HIS FATHER=But do we LOVE

Him enough=TO LIVE FOR HIM?=To GIVE some portion=of our life=BACK to him=and the

Holy Father God!=For love COMES with a cost=You know that=IF you ever loved

ANOTHER HUMAN BEING=Jesus asks=DO YOU LOVE ME?=He asked Peter and the

The REST of the other apostles=HE ASKS US TOO!

 

He asked Peter and the OTHER APOSTLES=and he asks us=WHAT are you doing with

Your LIFE=What are you willing to do for me TODAY?=Well what am I?=What are You?

WHO are you going to PASS ON=the LOVE of Jesus on to today?=The LOVE of the

Holy Father God?=Peter had to RESPOND 3 times=LISTEN to what he said!

“Yes Lord’=He said=’You know that I LOVE YOU’”                                                                   John 21:15

“Yes Lord’=’You know that I LOVE YOU’”                                                                                      John 21:16

“Peter was HURT=Because Jesus asked him the third time=and said=’Lord-you

KNOW all things=You know that I LOVE YOU’”                                                                          John 21:17

HE ASKS US TOO!=What will OUR RESPONSE BE?

Dear Lord=Dear Holy Father God=WE PRAY to you today=That you know we LOVE YOU=

And not just with OUR WORDS=But with our actions too=Like Saint Peter=the other

Apostles=Saint Paul=and all of the other Saints of this world

 

We pray=That OUR ACTIONS SHINE=so bright=that you NEVER ever have to ask us again=

“DO YOU LOVE ME”=This question he asks=EVERY single one of us

In Jesus’ name=and in the name= of our EVER LIVING=ever loving=Holy Father God!
