THE HOLY FATHER GOD!=we are APOSTLES OF PEACE!=in this

THE 21^st modern day century=we are MODERN DAY APOSTLES=

“JUSTICE shall flower=in his days=AND PROFUND PEACE=till

The moon be no more”                                                                                                                      Psalm 72:7

 

This TIME of Advent=is a time of PARADOX=We are almost there

To THE COMING=but not quite there yet==But if we are SURROUNDING

OURSELVES=with the right people=CLOSE FAMILY AND FRIENDS=Our

CHURCH COMMUNITIES==FOLLOWING the Father’s and Christ’s love=

We are SEEING=signs of GOD’S JOY EVERYWHERE=we are seeing=

We are seeing=SIGNS OF PEACE=Because we are APOSTLES OF PEACE!==in

This advent of OUR LOVE=just LIVING off of GOD’S GRACE=and

His heart=and HIS COMPASSION FOR PEACE=Just FOLLOWING the

GOD OF LOVE AND PEACE!

 

“Love and faithfulness=meet together=RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE KISS=

Each other”                                                                                                                                                  Psalm 85:10

 

“I will take away=the chariots from Ephraim=and the warhorses from

Jerusalem=and the battle bow=will be broken=He will proclaim

PEACE to the nations=His rile will extend=from sea to sea=and from

The river=to the ends of the earth”                                                                                                     Zechariah 9:10

PEACE and love=to the HOLY FATHER GOD and his Son Jesus Christ=I

World=that is oh so FOREGN to me=We are called by God=to BE

APOSTLES OF PEACE!=Instruments of peace in this world=So

Keep on GROWING with love and PEACE in your hearts and make this world

A MORE PEACEFUL place=APOSTLES OF PEACE!=we are

They are the APOSTLES OF LOVE this CHRISTMAS SEASON=and they are who

WE=should be TRYING to emulate=The APOSTLES OF PEACE AND HOPE in

This world=and Universe=so be AN APOSTLE OF PEACE!=this Christmas

Season=this Advent=just like them

To share your/our life with them=You and YOUR EFFORTS=have CAPTURED

The attention of God and Jesus=The HANDS of God’s love and Jesus

Are ALL OVER=your walk=through this life=and they are FILLED=

WITH JOY=because of YOU and me

Maybe it’s time

The old TESTAMENT PROPHETS=had a THANKLESS JOB=

They were CALLED=by the Holy Father God=to BRING

The people back to the FATHER=Ther were to tell

THE PEOPLE=of their sins=and to TURN BACK to the HOLY

FATHER GOD!=I HATE to say this people=But things are NOT

Any different today

 

WE are CALLED=to heed THE CALL to=We are called to BE

PRAYER WARRIORS too=to TURN to God=and to turn AWAY from sin

“How AWESOME are you Elijah=in your WONDROUS DEEDS”                                         Sirach 48:4

 

BEING a prophet=was DEFINITELY= a thankless job=They were

RARELY EMBRACED=when they were alive=They were THREATENED

And harassed=with death threats=and all KINDS OF TERRIBLE THINGS=I

Really hate to say it=but it is NOT MUCH DIFFERENT TODAY=We are all

CALLED to be PRAYER WARRIORS=and to turn BACK TO GOD=to

Heed the call=and to PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER=to LOVE ON E
Another=and tor turn AWAY from sin=”He makes the WARS cease=to

The ends of the earth=He breaks the bow=and SHATTERS the spear=

He burns the shields with fire”                                                                                                            Psalm 46:9

 

“You will hear of WARS=and rumors of wars=but see to it=that you

Are not alarmed=Such things MUST HAPPEN=but the END is still

To come”                                                                                                                                                 Matthew 24:6

 

THE PROPHET Elijah=sought to TURN ISRAEL away from false gods

And worship=and to BRING PEOPLE=back to=THE ONE TRUE GOD=but

Elijah=despite his “WONDROUS DEEDS”=was REJECTED by the people=

He was FRUSTRATED by= the HARD-HEARTEDNESS=of God’s people=God

IS the great I AM=and he is calling us ALL=to be PRAYER WARRIORS=in

Today’s world=IT IS NOT ANY DIFFERENT TODAY=Let us HEAR THE CALL=

And PRAY for our country=and world=IN TODAY’S TIMES

 

“……..IF MY PEOPLE=Who are CALLED=by my name=will humble themselves=

And PRAY=and seek my face=and turn=from their wicked ways=Then I

Will hear from heaven=and I will forgive=their sin and will HEAL their land”                2 Chronicles 7:14

 

“This poor man=CALLED=and the Lord heard him=He saved him out

Jesus TELLS US=in the Gospel today=His COUSIN=John the BAPTIST=

Is a lot like Elijah=He will be EXECUTED=and that Jesus Himself=will

HAVE TO SUFFER too=It is not so really different today=My friends=

My dear brothers and sisters=WE HAVE TO SUFFER TOO!==as do many

Of the JUST=and righteous=TRYING to LIVE LIVES for God=

CALLING ALL PRAYER WARRIORS!

 

To pick up OUR CROSSES=and TURN to=the Holy Father God and Jesus=

HIS SON=and remember the POOR=the defenseless=and the LOST PEOPLE

Of our world=”Then he said to them all’=’Whoever wants to be my DISCIPLE=

Must deny themselves=and take up their CROSS=Daily and follow me’”                                   Luke 9:23

 

Dear Holy Father God and Jesus=we PRAY to you today=FOR THE COURAGE=

To TURN away from sin=in this world=and HEED your CALL to love=

AND BE YOUR PRAYER WARRIORS=and MODERN DAY DISCIPLES=in this

21^st CENTURY=that we LIVE IN

Where do you find meaning

Is it family

But I suggest to you

Really truly find yourself

And the meaning of life

Leo Tolstoy was a great great man

Rich in wealth and fame

With a beautiful wife

But as time went on

He suffered serious bouts of depression

And even contemplated suicide

To building the Kingdom of God

JESUS is the reason

Trying to remember---trying NOT to forget

AND SO IT BEGINS---THE FIRST MIRACLE

 

Picture this

 

You are a woman

With a 29 or 30 year-old-son

 

You are attending a wedding

Of a relative

Or very close friend

 

The drink of the day

Is wine

And the hosts of the day

Have run out

 

You know your son

Is someone very very special

A very special young man

With the capabilities

To help your relatives

In this precarious situation

 

You know your son

Loves you dearly

So you ask him

To help out

 

You say to him,

“They are out of wine---can you help”

 

He looks at you lovingly

And says,

“You must not tell me

What to do

My time has not come”

 

But he proceeds to try and help

He says,

“Fill the jars with water

Now draw some out

And take it to the master

Of the banquet”

 

The master of the banquet realizes

He has wine

Not knowing where it came from

 

Everyone says,

“You saved the best wine until last”                                            ( NOT the custom )

 

You---a proud Mother

Look at your son proudly

For who he is

And what he has become

 

AND SO IT BEGINS

Saint Patty’s day

Where my ancestors

Came from

The land of God and Church

And where our Saint Patrick

Comes from

 

The land

Of the Irish sweepstakes

The land

Of our favorite country

The land of the River

And Lord of the Dance

It is our favorite country

It is called Ireland

Ps        My grandfather-Patrick J. Murphy was born in the late 1800’s

            On this day-he died in 1961 from colon cancer---I was six and at the time

            Of his death-he was my best friend-it was my first encounter

            With death-I still miss him

 

PRAYER FOR FAMILIES

 

Almighty God and Father,

Help all families to live

As the Holy Family

Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

 

United in respect and love,

Teach us through them

The sanctity of human love,

The value of family life,

And the way to live at peace

With all-That we may share

In YOUR life forever.
