The most satisfying feeling

In this world

Is to

Help another human being

 

Because

It is

Not what happens to them

It is

What happens to us

We are

Transformed on the inside

 

Come to me

All you

Who are weary and heavy burdened

And I will give you rest

 

Help another human being

Help another soul

We are

Not in this alone

We are

A community of all

 

Take my yoke upon you

For my yoke is easy

And

My burden is light

 

The most satisfying feeling

I suggest you go back

To square one

Are you sharing every aspect

Of your life

With him

 

“I am the vine

You are the branches”

 

The good and the bad

That deepest darkest level

Of your soul

 

“Remain in me

If you remain in the Lord

You are one of his branches

And he will NEVER be

Ashamed of you

He will call you FRIEND

 

The thing is

Faith is NOT about ideology

Faith is NOT

About your beliefs

 

Faith is having

A deep deep personal relationship

With Christ and God

On every level

 

“I have called you friend

For everything

That I have learned from my Father

I have made known to you”

 

“You did not choose me

I chose you

Go and bear fruit

Fruit---that will last”

Every child

Should have a future

Every child

Should have hope

Every child

Should have love

 

Stop the abuse

It can’t be tolerated

There are no excuses

In destroying

The life of a child

 

A child needs trust

A child needs care

A child needs to know

About his or her welfare

We do share

 

A child needs hope

A child needs love

A child needs to know

That about them

We do care

 

Our future

Is our children

Our hope

Is our children

 

We need to let them know

That their lives are priceless

That is

That is

IN THE OLD TESTAMENT=Joshua in particular=and in THE NEW TESTAMENT=After

Christ’s RESURRECTION=The people ATTEMPTED to=FOLLOW GOD’S WILL!=What has

HAPPENED to us=as a SOCIETY?=As a country and as a WORLD?==I would venture=

To say=US PEOPLE TODAY=Make NO ATTEMPT=to FOLLOW GOD’S WILL=and most of us=

Do NOT=even know what GOD’S WILL IS=”Then the apostles and elders=With the WHOLE

CHURCH=Decided to choose some of=Some of their own men=and send them to ANTIOCH=

With Paul and Barnabas”                                                                                                                           Acts 15:22

 

In the old testament=JOSHUA Followed God’s will=Prayed before battles=and INSPIRED

The Israelites=To be of ONE HEART=To CIRCLE Jerico=To blow trumpets=Until the walls came=

TUMBLING DOWN=and in the NEW TESTAMENT=Of God and Jesus=The Holy Spirit of God=

And Jesus=REVEALS to the apostles=to be UNITED=In their plan and objectives=With one plan and

ONE HEART

 

What about us=In today’s world?=We are FIERCELY DIVIDED Politically=Religiously=Financially=

And in every other way=That you can think of=We NEED to be=GETTING BACK TO GOD’S WILL=and

BE UNITED=In all ways=For our humanity=We CAN BE=If we FOLLOW GOD’S WILL=and UNITE=

Under Jesus’ teachings=Of LOVE OF GOD=and of Neighbor=FORGIVE 70X7=Live in Kindness and

TRUTH=and if we LIVE THE BEATITUDES of Jesus=”How good and pleasant it is=When GOD’S

People=Live together=IN UNITY!”                                                                                                                 Psalm 133:1            

“For if we have  been=UNITED WITH HIM=In a death like his=We will certainly also=be UNITED

With him=In a Resurrection like his”                                                                                                      Romans 6:5

“Make every effort=TO KEEP THE UNITY=Of the Spirit=Through the bond of peace”       Ephesians 4:3

 

WHAT is the First thing we should do=WHEN we are faced with DIVISION=In this world=We should

PRAY TO GOD=to help us=To SEEK HIS WILL=and he will ANSWER OUR PRAYERS=My prayers=Your

PRAYERS=If we are sincerely=TRYING to do his will=By LIVING Jesus’ love=and forgiveness=and

Trying to=LIVE IN UNITY=By following HIS WILL=In FAITH=and obedience=FOLLOWING God’s

WILL=will always lead to UNITY=In the world= IN OUR COUNTRY=and in our Church=as well as=

IN OUR FAMILY=and in ourselves==The problem is=We DO NOT WANT to=Follow God’s will=We

Want to do EVERYTHING=Our own way=THE HUMAN WAY=Which is DOOMED TO FAIL!

 

FOLLOW GOD’S WILL=Stay UNITED with Jesus and his Father=and with each other!

DON’T MISS THE POINT=Of

Miracles and LOVE

 

The People 2,000 years ago=SAW all the MIRACLES=Of Jesus=and

THEY WERE IMPRESSED=as we should ALL BE TOO=But I beg of you dear

Brothers and sister=THE ULTIMATE MESSAGE=Was one of PERFECT LOVE=

That was the REASON=for the Resurrection=You cannot kill PERFECT love=

Jesus PROVED that with his LIFE==with his death=and with The Ultimate

RESURRECTION!=”WOE to you-Bethsaida!”                                                            Matthew 11:21

 

Jesus spent=a lot of TIME=In Bethsaida=The town that BORDERS the Sea of

Galilee=and it was the HOME=of three of his apostles=Philip=and the BROTHERS

Peter and Andrew=But the town=MISSED the MESSAGE OF LOVE=I beg of you=

My fellow 21^st century apostles=DON’T MISS THE MESSAGE=OF LOVE!=”Desire

Without knowledge=Is not good=--------How much more will hasty feet=

MISS THE WAY”                                                                                                                         Proverbs 19:2

 

The people of Bethsaida=LOVED THE MIRACLES=They WITNESSED the feeding of

The 5,000=They saw a LOCAL MAN=who was blind=Given sight by Jesus=You would

Think=that would have IMPRESSED the people enough=To LEARN more about the

LIFE of Jesus=and his teachings-but it did not

 

And TODAY=I think we=Even become=so ENTRALLED with the miracles=and the

RESURRECTED LIFE=That we MISS the ultimate message=OF PERFECT LOVE!=Don’t

MISS THE MESSAGE=of the miracles=and of the LOVE=Don’t CONFUSE THE MESSAGE

 

“Who has believed=OUR MESSAGE=and to whom has=the arm of the LORD=

Been revealed?”                                                                                                                   Isaiah 53:1 (and John 12:38)

“Consequently faith comes=From hearing the MESSAGE==and the MESSAGE is heard=

Through the word about Christ=But ask=Did they not hear=Of course they did”   Romans 10:17-18

“FOR THE MESSAGE=of the cross is foolishness to those=Who are perishing=But

To us=who are BEING SAVED=it is the POWER of God”                                             1 Corinthians 1:18

 

And so today=MY Brothers and sisters=I beg of you=to take in=THE MIRACLE of=the

MESSAGE OF LOVE=and reform your lives=While on this earth=So you=will LIVE FOREVER

In Christ=and The Holy Father God=Learn about and KNOW all about=Jesus’ miracles

Of 2.000 years ago=and INTERNALIZE his teachings too=These  miracles are=

STILL going on today=EVERY DAY=You can see them=IN the RISING of the sun=the

BIRTH of a child=and the LIMITLESS  love and faith=of our EVER LIVING GOD=and

Our LOYAL family and friends=These are MIRACLES TOO!

 

But  DON’T MISS THE MESSAGE=The message of OUR GOD’S LOVE FOR US=A  MIRACLE=

In its ownself=”You are the God=WHO PERFORMS MIRACLES!=You display your power=among

Your peoples”                                                                                                                                            Psalm 77:14

“……..And many who heard him=were amazed=Where did this man=get these things?’=

They asked=’What’s this wisdom=That has been given him=What are these REMARKABLE

MIRACLES=He is  performing?’”                                                                                                              Mark 6:2

 

My dear  friends=Take in yesterday’s MIRACLES=and take them IN today too=but

DON’T CONFUSE THE MESSAGE=Of his miracles=WITH JESUS’ PERFECT LOVE=And

FIND the LOVE=that Jesus had=FOR HIS FATHER=and his neighbor=DEEP within

YOUR OWN HEART=That is THE MESSAGE OF LOVE!

CHAPTER 12=

Samuel’s FAREWELL SPEECH

 

Samuel SPEAKS to Israel=After Saul becomes KING=Samuel REMINDS

The people=That he has SERVED them faithfully=and HONESTLY=and REMINDS THEM

How God has ALWAYS DELIVERED Israel

 

Samuel TELLS the people=THEY have sinned=by demanding

A HUMAN KING=Instead of TRUSTING IN GOD==To CONFIRM the message=

God SENDS thunder and rain=During the WHEAT HARVEST=Frightening the people=

The people=ASK SAMUEL to=PRAY FOR THEM!

 

SAMUEL ENCOURAGES THEM=and tells them

FEAR the Lord

SERVE him faithfully=and DO NOT

TURN to idols

 

HE WARNS the people=and their King=That they

MUST OBEY GOD

 

SAMUEL 13=SAUL’S UNLAWFUL SACRIFICE

 

Israel PREPARES=to fight the Philistines=and Saul BECOMES IMPATIENT=

While waiting for Samuel=To ARRIVE and offer a sacrifice=BEFORE BATTLE=

INSTEAD of waiting=Saul PERFORMS the sacrifice himself

 

SAMUEL arrives and REBUKES HIM=for disobeying God’s COMMAND=

BECAUSE of this=HIS KINGDOM =will not continue forever=God will

CHOOSE another man=TO LEAD HIS PEOPLE

 

Meanwhile Israel SUFFERS=Because the  PHILISTINES=Control

The blacksmithing=Leaving the ISRAELITES POORLY ARMED!

 

CHAPTER 14=Jonathan DEFEATS the PHILISTINES

 

Jonathan=SAULS’S SON=COURAGEOUSLY attacks  a PHILISTINE outpost=

With only his armor-bearer=Jonathan=TRUSTS GOD COMPLETELY=saying that GOD

Can SAVE=”BY MANY OR BY FEW”

 

God causes CONFUSION=In the Philistines=and Israel wins

A GREAT VICTORY

 

But Saul makes a FOOLISH OATH=saying NO MAN=May eat before evening=

Jonathan UNAWARE=eats HONEY=and nearly dies=Because of Sauls’s rash decision=

THE people rescue Jonathan=Because they=RECOGNIZE HIS BRAVERY=and the HELP

Of God through him

 

This chapter also=SUMMARIZES=Saul’s military  victories=and INTRODUCES

MEMBERS of his family

 

 

CHAPTER 15

SAUL REJECTS God’s command

 

God COMMANDS Saul=THROUGH Samuel=to COMPLETELY DESTROY the Amalekites=

Because of their past wickedness against Israel

 

Sauld defeats them=BUT SPARES

 

-Agag=and

-THE BEST ANIMALS and POSSESSIONS

 

=Saul CLAIMS the animals=were SAVED for sacrifice=BUT SAMUEL DECLARES

OBEDIENCE is more important than sacrifice=and ONE OF

The most famous verses appear

 

“TO OBEY is BETTER than sacrifice”

 

=Because Saul=REJECTS GOD’S COMAND=GOD REJECTS Saul as KING=

SAMUEL then kills Agag=and he MOURNS over Saul

 

 

CHAPTER 16=DAVID IS ANOINTED!

 

God tells Samuel=to QUIT MOURNING for Saul=and to

GO TO BETHLEHEM=To ANOINT a new KING=from the FAMILY OF JESSE

 

Samuel=sees JESSE’S OLDER SONS=and assumes=THE STRONGEST looking Son=

Must be CHOSEN=But God TEACHES US=an IMPORTANT LESSON

 

“MAN LOOKS AT THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE=But the LORD=LOOKS at the HEART”

 

The youngest son=DAVID=Is brought in from=TENDING SHEEP=and God

TELLS SAMUEL=TO ANOINT HIM=and the SPIRIT OF THE LORD=Comes POWERFULLY

On to David

 

The SPIRIT departs from Saul=and Saul becomes TROUBLED=David is later=

BROUGHT to Saul’s COURT=to play the HARP=Soothing Saul=While he is DISTRESSED

 

THE MAIN THEMES OF 1 Samuel=CHAPTERS 12 through 16

 

=OBEDIENCE to God=Is MORE IMPORTANT than rituals

 

=GOD JUDGES THE HEART=NOT our outward appearance

 

=Saul’s DOWNFALL=is through disobedience and PRIDE

 

=DAVID BEGINS to RISE=as GOD’S CHOSEN KING

 

=FAITH AND COURAGE are shown THROUGH Jonathan and David
