=Joseph is WARNED=In a dream=To take Mary and Jesus to Egypt

 

=After Herod died=THE FAMILY RETURNS and settles in Nazareth

THE REAL QUEEN

Recently=this world=LOST

A great singer in

Aretha Franklin=the QUEEN

Of SOUL

And we want to SAY

A PRAYER for her=that she

Is WELCOMED into the LORD'S

KINGDOM===the KING OF LOVE

Today we CELEBRATE=the feast=

Of the QUEENSHIP of Mary=and

THE REAL QUEEN OF US ALL

“The LORD is my SHEPHERD

I shall not want

Even though

I WALK

In the dark valley

I fear no evil

For you are AT MY SIDE

With your rod and staff

That give me COURAGE

…............

And I shall dwell

In the HOUSE of the LORD

Mary=as the MOTHER of Jesus

Certainly DESERVES the title

Of QUEEN

Yet we KNOW=as a human

Being=how Mary SUFFERED=especially

At the foot of the CROSS

As Jesus was DYING

It HELPS me to

IMAGINE Mary=PRAYING today's Psalm

And ALL the challenges

She had to OVERCOME

In her life

It helps me to KNOW

How the Father

GUIDED HER

Through the dark valleys

And how she gathered COURAGE

With GOD at her side

MARY=THE REAL QUEEN

“When the queen of Sheba

Heard of Solomon's FAME

She came to Jerusalem

To test him

With hard questions”                                                                                               2 Chronicles 9:1

“The QUEEN of the South

Will rise

At the judgment

With this generation

And condemn it

For she CAME

From the ends of the earth

To listen

To Solomon's wisdom

And now something GREATER

Than Solomon is here”                                                                                                      Matthew 12:42

Yes=the LORD Jesus=

And the ONLY REAL QUEEN

The Queen MOTHER Mary

Dear loving Queen Mary=

Thank you for making

Yourself AVAILABLE to us

And always BEING OUR FRIEND

And AT OUR side

“A FRIEND loves at ALL times

And a brother is BORN

For a time of adversity”                                                                                                      Proverbs 17:17

Dear Queen Mary=help us stick CLOSE

To you=and your SON

For you BEFRIEND us and help

Us into the HOUSE

Of the LORD

NOT Pointing to herself=But to her Son=as we ALL

TODAY=we RECALL the Dignity of Mary=HER HUMILITY=and her VOLUNTARY COOPERATION=

With her Son=and BEING with him=EVERY STEP pf the way=of his REDEMPTIVE MISSION=

Here on earth=Today we HONOR and RECOGNIZE=THE QUEENSHIP Of MARY!=and we

BELIEVE=She is greatly HONORED IN HEAVEN!

 

“You  have but=ONE MASTER=Jesus Christ”                                                                                    Matthew 23:10

WHEN we Look=at the APPARITIONS of Mary=It is CLEAR=That our QUEEN OF HEAVEN=

Does NOT=Point to herself=and NEITHER should ANY of us=Her constant DESIRE=Mary’s is=

For us=To HONOR her Son=She gave BIRTH to Jesus=In this world=and she saw HIM=Die

And Resurrect=Her desire is=For her SON Jesus=To be BIRTHED again=all over=This world=

In this modern day 21^st century=and that=SHOULD BE=our desire too!==OUR MARY=OUR QUEEN=

POINTS to her Son=and we should too!

“EVEN FROM BIRTH=the wicked go astray=From the womb=They are wayward=Spreading

Lies”                                                                                                                                                                    Psalm 58:3

“This is how=THE BIRTH of Jesus the Messiah=came about=His mother Mary=Was pledged to

BE married to Joseph=But before they came together=She was FOUND to be Pregnant=Through

“Praise be to=The God and Father=Of our Lord Jesus Christ=In his great mercy=He has given us=

NEW BIRTH=Into a living hope=Through the Resurrection =Of Jesus Christ=

OUR MARY=OUR QUEEN OF HEAVEN=Points to her SON=and so should we!

 

THE SCRIPTURES today=HELP us=to keep our Focus on Jesus=It POINTS to Jesus=and it

REMINDS US=That there is ONE FATHER in Heaven=and  ONE MASTER=Jesus Christ=So keep on=

POINTING to Jesus=with your LIFE=That is What Mary did=and that is=What MARY=Wants

From us=”But his subjects=Hated him and=Sent a delegation=After him to say’=’We DON’T WANT

This man=to be our king’”                                                                                                                                   Luke 19:14

“I do not understand=What I do=For what=I WANT to do=I do not do=

But what I hate I do”                                                                                                                                         Romans 7:15

“I WANT to know Christ=--------Yes to know=The POWER=Of his Resurrection=and participate=

IN his sufferings=Becoming like him=In his death=and so somehow=Attaining to the resurrection=

Dear MARY=Our dear beautiful Mother and QUEEN=We pray to you=and we defer to YOUR

DIVINE SON=That you may lead us to him=and we HONOR and GLORIFY HIM=just like you=

Mother Mary=have done yourself!=”Be devoted to=One ANOTHER=in LOVE=HONOR one another=

Above Yourselves”                                                                                                                                    Romans 12:10-11

“Whenever the living creatures=Give Glory=HONOR and thanks to him=Who sits on the throne=

Dear Mary=OUR QUEEN OF HEAVEN=Who LIVED with humility and obedience=In this life=

HELP US to honor you=Along with YOUR SON=and THE HOLY FATHER GOD=and Help us to ONE DAY=Enter the confines of Heaven =with ALL of you=For you Mary=We LIVE LIVE today=  HONORING  your Son=and all THE DAYS=Of your life=For that is WHAT YOU DID=Live a life=

That POINTED TO YOUR SON!

CHILDREN OF LIGHT

 

In Jesus’ day

He often talked about being

“CHILDREN OF LIGHT”

 

Mistakenly-the people of his day

Thought he meant being “spiritual” was good

And being “earthly” was bad

 

What Jesus was in fact

Trying to teach us

Was to CHOOSE good instead of evil

 

So how can we be CHILDREN OF LIGHT

In today’s world

 

Give someone who can’t get out

A ride to the Doctor’s office

Or to the store to get groceries

Volunteer at a hospital or a rescue mission

Send someone a birthday or a get-well card

Do something good for someone-ANONYMOUSLY

 

There are any number of things

That we can do in today’s world

 

Or we can choose to live selfish-self-absorbed lives

Concerned ONLY with ourselves-our own material goals

Our own sexuality-or our own needs

 

Choose to be a “child of light” in today’s world

Better than a Bunch of DRY OLD  BONES=”Then he said to me’=’Prophesy to these bones’=

‘DRY BONES=Hear the WORD of the LORD’”                                                                                         Ezekiel 37:4

In Hebrew=Hear means=To not just perceive=BUT ATTEND

 

The Lord OUR GOD=Of Heaven and ABOVE=is telling the PEOPLE of Ezekiel’s day=TO ATTEND

To and to=Hear the WORD OF GOD=For the Hebrew people=had ABANDONED=the WORD OF

God=But God did NOT ABANDON THEM=and he does NOT abandon us=in today’s world=

DRY BONES=People of Israel=and all of us TODAY=IN 21^st century AMERICA=NEED to read and

HEAR=The WORD OF GOD=all over again

“He humbled you=Causing you to hunger=and THEN feeding you with manna=Which neither you=

Nor your ancestors had known=To TEACH you=that man does NOT LIVE=on  bread alone=But on

EVERY WORD=that comes from=the mouth=Of the LORD”                                            Deuteronomy 8:3

“LET ME LIVE=That I may praise you=and may your laws sustain me”                      Psalm 119:175

“The LORD asked me’=’Son of man=Can these BONES LIVE?’”                                    Ezekiel 37:3=

YES THEY CAN=They can have LIFE=If they are=LIVING on the WORD OF GOD!=The Word of GOD=BRINGS LIFE!

 

How are you FEELING TODAY?=My Sisters and my Brothers=Maybe losing HOPE=Maybe feeling

LOST and abandoned=Like a discarded=DRIED  UP old bones?=WE do not have to feel that way!=

ALL is not LOST!=Pick up your bible=READ the WORD of God=THE WORD OF LIFE!=and BRING=

YOUR dried up old bones=BACK TO LIFE!=”The Lord GOD=Made all kinds of trees=Grow out of

The ground=--------Trees that were pleasing to the eye=and GOOD for food=IN the middle of=

The garden=Were the TREE OF LIFE=and the tree of the Knowledge=

Of good and evil”                                                                                                                                                 Genesis  2:9

“Therefore I tell you=Do not worry about YOUR LIFE=What you will eat or drink=Or about  your

Body=What you will wear=IS NOT LIFE MORE=than food=and the body

Back to LIFE=The Word of God=Is transformative=IT BRINGS LIFE!

SAINT BERNARD OF CLAIRVAUX

 

SAINT BERNARD OF CLAIRVAUX 

Saint Bernard was a man

Of CHARM=with learning=

And eloquence

He was the abbot of Clairvaux =

A doctor of the CHURCH=and a

LEADING church man

Of the 12th century=and ONE

Of the principal promoters of MONASTI CISM  

Bernard's arrival =

TRIGGERED an unprecedented release

Of monastic energy

In three years=he

Was SENT OUT

At the head of a COLONY

Of thirteen

They settled in Clairvaux 

And created the diocese

Of Langres

He was a leader=

A WRITER=preacher=and

BECAME a SAINT

He PERSONALLY founded  68 monasteries

In Europe

And STILL had 700 monks

Left over=to CALL his own

CLAIRVAUX became the SPIRITUAL CENTER

Of Europe=

And when he died at age 63

There were 339 houses

In the CISTERCIAN COMPLEX

For years on end=he was

ACTIVE in public affairs=and

This lead to a GENUINE CRY

Of his SOUL=for

He was TORN AWAY from his cloister

He WON a GOOD PART of EUROPE

For Pope INNOCENTII=and preached

The SECOND CRUSADE

Which would wind up being

HIS BIGGEST FAILURE

Saint Bernard was CANONIZED

Twenty-two years after his death

And three of his brothers

As well as a sister

EARNED the title=”BLESSED”

His most FAMOUS written

Document was his TREATISE 

On the LOVE OF GOD

And he FOCUSED on the

HUMAN NATURE of Christ=and

His LOVE for the BLESSED MOTHER=Mary

He was canonized in 1174=and became a DOCTOR

Of the CHURCH in 1830

And today=August 20th=

Is his FEAST DAY
