The world tries to

Sell us money

The world tries to

Sell us sex

The world tries to

Sell us science

 

Your choice

Are you believing it

 

God teaches us love

God teaches us kindness

God teaches us forgiveness

Your choice

Are you buying it

 

I made my choice

A long long time ago

I’m still holding steady

I’m still holding strong

 

I just need

One more miracle

To prove to you

The world is wrong

THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD!

Today I want to thank

God=and share=as I DO

Every day=the GREATEST love story

Ever told

The life and death of

Jesus Christ

And I want to BEGIN

By thanking the authors=the

Apostles=and the great SAINT PAUL

Who told us and taught us

WHAT LOVE IS

“LOVE is patient=

Love is kind”                                                                                           1 Corinthians 13 :4

And Paul tells us

That=”LOVE NEVER FAILS”                                                             1 Corinthians 13:8

And even though it

LOOKED like Jesus failed-

Failed in life=he CONQUERED death

With a RESURRECTED LIFE

The LOVE that Paul describes

Is not easy to come by=

Yet much LIVE

Day in and day out

Yet Jesus did it

He did it with FAITH-

He did it in HOPE=

And most of all

He conquered death

With his LOVE

For all human kind

“And now these three remain=

Faith=hope and LOVE

But the greatest of these

IS LOVE”                                                                                                 1 Corinthians 13:13

Love must be renewed continually

And it must be lived

Out DAILY

Which Jesus did

By HEALING the sick

By REACHING out to the POOR

And doing everything imaginable

For everyone that he LOVED

Love does not come

From force of will

Or bold actions

But by the GRACE OF GOD

And the GRACE of God

Was upon Jesus

“And the child grew

And became strong

He was FILLED

With wisdom

And the GRACE OF GOD

Was on him”                                                                                                     Luke 2:40

“GRACE and peace

To you from God

Our Father

And from the Lord

Jesus Christ”                                                                                                    Romans 1:7

“Let us then approach

God's throne of GRACE

With confidence

So that we may

Receive mercy

And GRACE

To help us

In our time of need”                                                                                  Hebrews 4:16

Paul's description of LOVE

Wants us to see

What love REALLY IS

And how it is MAGNIFIED

In the LIFE OF JESUS

“For I am CONVINCED

That neither death nor life-

Neither angels nor demons-

Neither the present-nor the future

NOR any powers-

Neither height nor depth-

NOR anything in else

IN ALL CREATION

Will be able

To separate us=

From the love of God

That is IN-

CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD”                                                                                      Romans 8:39

And NOTHING ever will

For Jesus CHRIST-

Is the definition of PERFECT LOVE

Dear Lord=help us LOVE ALL=

Just as you did=in the greatest story

SAINT CAMILLUS OF LELLIS

 

Patron Saint of Nurses

 

 

Saint Camillus of Lellis

Was born in 1550

In what is now known as Southern Italy

 

He was an exceptionally big man

And he joined the Venetian army

To fight against the Turks

 

He had a temper

And was a gambler

 

He contracted

An incurable disease of the leg

And lost everything gambling

 

At that time

He experienced a religious conversion

And tried to become a Franciscan

But his health

Prevented him from doing so

 

He did become a priest

And founded a congregation of male nurses

To serve the plague stricken

In hospitals, in their homes

And prisoners

 

Some of them

Even served on the battlefield

 

Many of them

Lost their lives

Through contracting the plague

From their patients

 

In spite of suffering

A variety of serious illnesses himself

He continued to help the sick

To the very end of his life

 

Today

He is considered to be

Patron Saint of the sick, of hospitals

AND OF NURSES AND PHYSICIANS

 

His feast day

Appears on the Roman calendar

On July 18^th

A LIGHT at the END of the TUNNEL

 

 

There’s a light

A light

At the end

Of the tunnel

 

It’s called God

It’s called Christ

It’s called love

 

It’s a light

That will shine

Through every situation

That shines through every darkness

 

Glowing glowing glowing

 

It’s a light

That will shine

Through every difficulty

A light that will shine

Through every problem

 

Glowing glowing

Yes

There’s a light

At the end

Of that dark tunnel

 

Glowing glowing glowing

 

And that light

Is called Christ

That light

Is called God

That light

Is called love

Nothing is better

Than a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

With Jesus=

NOTHING is better

Than a TRUSTING relationship

With the LORD

I was RAISED a

CATHOLIC/CHRISTIAN=and was TAUGHT

That a personal relationship

With the Lord

Was ESSENTIAL

“Mend your ways-

ENCOURAGE one another-

Agree with one another

LIVE IN PEACE

And the God of love

And peace

WILL be with you”                                                                                              2 Corinthians 13:11

I am GRATEFUL for this

TEACHING=that a personal relationship

Is not only possible=

BUT NECESSARY

But I LEARNED over TIME

That no personal relationship

With the Lord

Is possible

UNLESS I read Scripture-

Unless I follow the CHURCH-

And unless I love others too

I must FULLY ENGAGE with the above

To be engaged

With the LORD TOO

It is necessary

To have a RELATIONSHIP

With the Lord

“Therefore=it is NECESSARY

To submit

To the authorities

Not only because

Of possible punishment

But also as a matter

Of conscience”                                                                                                    Romans 13:5

IF I believe in Jesus-

I must also be WILLING

To find him

IN NEW WAYS=

I must be open

To new experience

I must FIND the Lord

In the people

Who need my ENCOURAGEMENT=

My agreement=and my PEACE

TRYING to find

The Lord=in others

Trying to find the Lord

In myself

Please dear Lord=I LONG

For a personal relationship

With you and the CHURCH=

And I will FOLLOW

Where you lead me

I TRUST in you

My dear Lord

“Some TRUST in chariots-

Some TRUST in horses=

But we TRUST

In the name

BOAST ONLY IN THE LORD=AND HIS SON!=HUMILITY

Don’t you just think=IT IS TOO MUCH==When people BOAST about how

GREAT they are=and about their wealth=Their fame=and their cleverness=and

Their Understanding=I do=The King Asyria=some 2 or THREE thousand years ago=

BOASTED=”By my own power=I have done it=And by my WISDOM=I am

Shrewd”                                                                                                                                                                  Isaiah 10:13

TOO MUCH!=And I got some news=FOR ANYONE=In this world=Who THINKS that way=

NO ONE=can do it alone!=BOAST Only in the POWER of the Lord=and HIS SON!=

HUMILITY!

 

King Assyria=STOLE people’s treasures=and accumulated many possessions=and even

CHANGED THE BOUNDARIES=Of nations=To accumulate MORE WEALTH=But Isaiah said=

THIS SHAMEFUL KING=would be punished for=His arrogant and EVIL ACTIONS=

Centuries later=The English POET=Lord Byron=Would write about HIS CRUSHING DEFEAT=

BOAST ONLY=Only in God the Lord and HIS SON!=”IN GOD=we make our BOAST=All day long=

And we will PRAISE your name forever”                                                                                                Psalm 44:8

“Do NOT BOAST about tomorrow=For you do not know=What a day may bring”            Proverbs 27:1

“Therefore as  it is WRITTEN’=’Let the ONE WHO BOASTS=BOAST IN

The  King of Assyria=Was impressed=WITH HIS OWN POWER=his own wealth=and his own self-

Described GLORY=Lord Byron=Wrote that HIS ARMY=”Melted like snow=In the GLANCE of

The LORD”=My sisters and brothers=Please do NOT=get so IMPRESSED with yourself=EVERYTHING

We have=In this life=Is a GIFT from God=INCLUDING our very own lives=Everything PASSES  away=

In this world=Except for=THE HOLY FATHER GOD!= and His SON!=

BOAST Only in=The HOLY FATHER GOD and His Son=They ALOVE=Love and LIVE HUMILITY=

No one CAN achieve anything by himself=Only in=and WITH the Power of God=And so my

SISTERS AND BROTHERS=The MORAL IS=Not too become arrogant and IMPRESSED with yourself=

Or feel you=ARE BETTER than anyone else=BE REAL!=BE AUTHENTIC!=Realize you are=

DEPENDENT on the Holy Father God=and Jesus=BOAST only in the LORD!

“May I NEVER BOAST=Except in the CROSS of our Lord Jesus Christ=Through which the  world=

Has been crucified tome=and I too the world”                                                                                 Galatians 6:14

 

Jesus=The SON=of our Holy Father God=Taught us=How to LIVE IN HUMILITY=”Take my yoke

Upon you=and learn from me=For I am gentle and HUMBLE IN HEART=and you will find rest

For your souls”                                                                                                                                                 Matthew 11:29

My dear BROTHERS and sisters=I PRAY=and I HOPE you all pray with me=To live lives of TRUE

HUMILITY=and that we BOAST only in=The HOLY FATHER GOD=and his Son Jesus Christ
