Do you have healthcare

Can you afford it

 

Do you sometimes think

That the healthcare industry

Or maybe

Even some of the Doctors

Are more concerned with

How much money they are making

Than your personal health

 

If your answers

To any of these question are yes

LISTEN UP

To the story

Of two of our early physicians

 

Legend says

That they were twin brothers

And doctors

 

Who practiced their art

Without asking for fees

 

Can you imagine

Someone doing that today

In any profession

 

Reportedly

Numerous cures of healing

Were claimed by their intercession

 

They are

The patron saints of doctors

And their acts

Recount their skill

In both the healing

Of both men and animals

 

Their most famous medical achievement

Was their grafting of a new white leg

To the live body

Of a cancerous negro 

 

They reportedly

Had a reputation

For disinterestedness about financial gain

 

Their feast day

Is September 28^th

 

Dear Lord

We pray

For many more people

As well as physicians

Like Cosmas and Damian

WHO HAVE COMPASSION FOR ALL

Is the way

All that’s in me

The love that God gave to me

FINDING THE FATHER and the SON Jesus=IN EVERY SEASON

 

 

 

 

 

 

FINDING THE FATHER=AND THE SON JESUS-

In EVERY SEASON=Of our LIVES

 

Recently we have had=A CHANGE OF SEASONS=Up here in Pittsburgh=and it is NICE=

To see the leaves CHANGING=LIFE IS constant change=But the ONE CONSTANT=In all

Of our lives=Are the Holy Father God=His Son Jesus=and  the SPIRIT of God=Of LOVE=

Living in ALL of us=”There is a TIME for everything=and a SEASON=for every activity=Under

The Sun”                                                                                                                                                 Ecclesiastes 3:1

 

This PASSAGE made me think=Of that CLASSIC song by=THE BYRDS=”Turn=Turn=Turn”

And all the SEASONS of our life=The times OF JOY=and of LIFE=and the Times of loss or

Death=But in EVERY SEASON of our lives=The Father is there=The SON is there=and the SPIRIT

Of God=is there=FINDING the Father=and the Son=IN ALL the seasons of our LIFE=

“Preach the word=Be prepared IN SEASON=and out of Season=Correct=Rebuke=and

Encourage=--------with great Patience and careful instruction”                             2 Timothy 4:2

BEPREPARED=to FIND God=In the good seasons=LOOK for God in=The bad seasons=and in

EVERY SEASON of your Life=In between=TURN=TURN=TURN from the summer to the FALL=

To the Winter=and back to=The SPRING and the Summer=GOD IS LIFE=and He Lives in=

All of us

 

“……..If my People=Who are called by my name=Will humble themselves and Pray=and seek

My face=and TURN from their wicked ways=Then I will hear from Heaven=and I will forgive=

Their sin=and will HEAL their land”                                                                                               2 Chronicles 7:14

“TURN to me=and be saved=All you ends of the earth=For I am God and=There is

No other”                                                                                                                                                   Isaiah 45:22

“Say to them’=’As surely as I live=Declares the Sovereign Lord=I take no pleasure=in the Death=

Of the wicked=But rather that=THEY TURN=From their wicked ways and  Live=TURN!=TURN=

From your evil ways!=WHY will you die=People of Israel?’”                                                 Ezekiel 33:11

TURN-TURN-TURN!=FINDING the God of LOVE and LIFE=The Father and THE SON=In all

The SEASONS of our LIFE!

 

There are times=WHEN we feel Close to God=and Times when=we feel DISTANT or=SEPARATED

From God=But that is ON US=For it is UP to us=To FIND God the Father=and Jesus=God the Son=In All the SEASONS of our life=Well whatever Happens this season=Meterologically=Or in a Particular

SEASON of our life=Our God of LIFE and of Love=Never abandons us=For he is with us ALWAYS!

“Therefore go=and make disciples of ALL nations=Baptizing them=In the name of The Father=and

Of the Son=and of the Holy Spirit=and teaching them to obey everything=I have commanded you=

And Surely=I am WITH YOU ALWAYS=To the very end of the age”                                     Matthew 28:19-20

“But in your hearts=Revere Christ as Lord=ALWAYS be prepared=to give an answer to Everyone=

Who asks you=To give the Reason=For the HOPE that You have”                                             1 Peter 3:15

FINDING THE FATHER=and the SON Jesus=IN EVERY SEASON=OF OUR LIFE!

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

LIFE WILL BRING YOU TO YOUR KNEES

 

 

It may be health

It may be money

It may be

Trying to be someone

You are not supposed to be

One way or another

Life will bring you

To your knees

 

You might not think it

But in that time

Is your opportunity

To find God

And to find yourself

 

Because I have been there

And that was the only place

For me to find true happiness

There just wasn’t anyone

Or anything else

 

It may be health

It may be money

It may be trying to be someone

That you are not

 

Someone that you shouldn’t be

One way or another

Life will bring you

To your knees

 

That just might be

Your opportunity

To find God

To find peace

Inside of yourself

While you are down

On your knees

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=THE WORD OF GOD

 

 

 

 

 

 

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=THE WORD OF GOD!

 

I have heard that SHEEP

Were dumb=wimpy=and

FAR too dependent

 

But I have been

SET STRAIGHT=

I understand now

That they are NURTURING-

Intelligent-and independent

They=like us=

FULLY RECOGNIZE

The voice of God

 

Is it any wonder

That Jesus=calls us sheep?

 

Is it any wonder

That we follow him=

And recognize HIS WORDS

When he calls us?

 

“My sheep

Hear my VOICE=

Says the Lord

 

I know them

And they FOLLOW ME”                                                                                                              John 10:27

 

God wants us

To HEAR the words-

Of his son=Jesus

 

God the HOLY FATHER

Wants us=to FOLLOW

The voice of Jesus

 

We are to THINK about

Jesus’ words

In the bible

 

We are to mull on them=

To REFLECT on them

And really=take them

INTO OUR HEARTS

 

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=

THE VOICE OF GOD!

 

“Today-if only

You would=HEAR HIS VOICE=

Harden not your hearts”                                                                                                  Psalm 95:7-8

 

“Whether you turn

To the right=or to the left

 

Your ears=will HEAR A VOICE

Behind you=saying

‘This is the way-

Walk in it’”                                                                                                                             Isaiah 30:21

 

We are to LISTEN

To the WORDS of God=

And the words

Of Jesus=and follow him

 

We are=NOT to

Filter out=any words

That we do not like

 

The words of God

ARE the words of God=

And the words of Jesus

Are the words of Jesus=

They are FAITH-FILLED

With the Holy Spirit

 

“Today=if you HEAR his voice=

Harden not your hearts

 

As you did=in the rebellion

During the times

Of testing=in the wilderness”                                                                                           Hebrews 3:7-8

 

As difficult=as it may be

We are to NURTURE

All the words of God=

Listen to Jesus=and FOLLOW HIM

 

A good question is=

Are we FOLLOWING Jesus

In thought=in word=

And in deed?

 

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=

The words of God=and Jesus

Today=and every day=

For ALL the days of our lives

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS TEACHING=Holy Father God!

LINGERING SINS-GOSSIP

 

 

There once was a woman

With a physical handicap

She is still the same now

As she was twelve years ago

 

What about our sins

Are our sins

The same today

As they were 12 years ago

 

No one

Stays the same

Are we improving

Or are we regressing

 

Once

There was a woman

Who gossiped

 

When she went to confession

The Catholic priest

Told her to go to the market place

And buy a chicken

What an easy penance

She thought

 

Then the Catholic priest

Told her 

To pluck the chicken

And spread the feathers everywhere

 

Strange-she thought

But she did this too

 

Then the priest told her

To go and gather the feathers

And put them

Back on the chicken

 

“I can’t do that Father,” she said

“The feathers are everywhere”

 

“Exactly,” the priest said

“This is what happens

When you talk about someone”

 

What about my lingering sins

What about

Your lingering sins

 

Where are we

In relationship

To where we were

Twelve years ago

UNFORTUNATELY for many of us=It takes YEARS=for us=to learn=and many of us=

NEVER do learn=What is important in this LIFE=It is NOT MATERIAL BLESSINGS!=and of this fact=

 The reading from Ecclesiastes=REMINDS us as much=”What do people GAIN=From all

Their labors=At which they toil under the SUN?”                                                                     Ecclesiastes  1:3

WHAT really matters=is FINDING the Lord=and THE HOLY FATHER GOD!

 

Our social status=Our Reputation=Our QUEST for material things=Does NOT MATTER=

In the end=GOD AND FAMILY=Are the BLESSINGS of this life=and SOME very good Friends=

NOTHING is Perfect in this world=NOT You=NOT ME=Not our Church=Not our community=

Country or world=ALL that is PERFECT is the Lord=and his Father=THE HOLY FATHER GOD!=

They are All=THAT REALLY MATTERS!

“You will=Keep in PERFECT PEACE=Those whose minds are steadfast=Because they trust

In you”                                                                                                                                                    Isaiah 26:3

“BE PERFECT therefore=as your Heavenly FATHER is  PERFECT”                                    Matthew 5:48

“Do not Conform=To the pattern of this world=But be transformed by=The Renewing=of your

Mind=Then you will be able=To test=and Approve of what=God’s will is=--------His good=pleasing=

And PERFECT WILL”                                                                                                                            Romans 12:2

ALL that really MATTERS=is developing A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP=With the Lord=and the

HOLY FATHER GOD!

 

We cannot EARN our way=Into heaven=NO MATTER=how many good deeds that we do=For it

IS a Gift to us=by the GRACE of God==and HIS SON=No human endeavor is perfect=NO human

Being is perfect=Just the GOD-man Jesus Christ and His Father=FINDING THE LORD!=Is all that

Matters!=in this world=and UNITING our FAMILY=with the Holy Father!=That my BROTHERS and

SISTERS=Is the ESSENCE of our life=Finding the LORD=The GOD OF LOVE!

“ASK and it will=Be given to you=Seek and you WILL FIND=Knock and the door=will be Opened

To you”                                                                                                                                                                Matthew 7:7

“I tell you=He will see=that they get justice=and quickly=However when the SON OF MAN comes=

Will he FIND FAITH=On the earth”                                                                                                           Luke 18:8

JUST FINDING THE LORD!=in the recesses=DEEP Within our souls=and LOVING HIM!=Loving

OTHERS=Is all THAT REALLY MATTERS=in this life!

 

Dear Lord=We your Brothers and Sisters=Your WANT TO BE=21^st century apostles=In this world=

GIVE all we are=Back to you=and the Holy Father God!=FINDING YOU=is the ESSENCE=is the=

MOST IMPORTANT THING=in our Life=HELP US!/Help Me=Find you=LIVING Deep within

Ourselves!

“But what does IT MATTER?=THE IMPORTANT THING=Is that in every way=Whether from false

Motives or true=CHRIST IS PREACHED!=And because of this I rejoice”                     Philippians 1:18

 

Dear Jesus=Dear Holy Father God of LOVE=FINDING YOU=is the ESSENCE of our lives!=Please help

Us=FIND YOU!
