HEALING IS A JOURNEY=TRUST THE LORD!

 

 

 

 

 

 

HEALING IS A JOURNEY!=

(Trust the LORD)!

 

It SEEMS Like many of us=Are carrying HEAVY CROSSES=Right now=Some

Of us=More than others=But we ALL=Carry something=I am carrying an INTESTINAL

Disease=That just about=TOOK MY LIFE=and has Left me=With severe debilitating

PAIN=I have NEEDED another surgery since 1995=But  it is=TOO DANGEROUS to  do=

Without the RISK=of losing my LIFE=But I travel on=IN FAITH=as MANY of you do

Too!=HEALING IS A JOURNEY!=with Jesus=Trust the Lord!=and even IF=we do NOT=

Get that physical HEALING-The Holy Father God=and his Son Jesus=Give us the FAITH=

We need to continue=HEALING is a JOURNEY!=Sometimes a very LONG journey

 

“IF I=But touch his clothes=I shall be CURED” =                                                                              Mark  5:28

Today we READ about two MIRACLES=In the gospel of Mark=Jairus  is a synagogue leader=

Who has a LITTLE GIRL=Who is dying=and he says to Jesus’=”’Please come and put =Your

Hands on her=So that=She  will be HEALED and live’”                                                                 Mark 5:23

And at the same TIME=some people=From the House of Jairus=Came and said’=”Your

Daughter is DEAD==Why bother the Teacher anymore?’”                                                       Mark 5:35

But Jesus OVERHEARD and=Said to Jairus’=”’Don’t be afraid=JUST BELIEVE’”              Mark 5:36

Later on=We FIND out=Jesus goes to her and says’=”’Little girl= I say to you GET UP!’”   Mark 5:41

And she does

 

What a SIGHT=That must have been=A ONE=Who has Lived the MIRACLE of LIFE=since I  am 22=

I know=That all MIRACLES=are a matter of FAITH=and all miracles=all HEALINGS=are a

JOURNEY=and if=WE don’t receive the Physical Healing=We RECEIVE=the gift of FAITH=That

ALLOWS US to go on=SO BELIEVE=and TRUST THE LORD!=Faith in and of itself=Is

A MIRACLE=a HEALING from our God=and HIS SON!

 

“But he was pierces=For our transgressions=He was crushed for our iniquities=The punishment

That brought us peace=Was on him=and by his wounds=WE ARE HEALED”                         Isaiah 53:5

“It is by=the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth=Whom you crucified=But whom God raised=

From the dead=That this man=Stands before you HEALED”                                                     Acts 4:10

“Therefore confess your sins=To each other=and pray for each other=So that you MAY

BE HEALED”                                                                                                                                                  James 5:16

 

Then there is=THE SECOND miracle =IN today’s reading=A woman has been BLEEDING

For 12 years=She suffered a GREAT DEAL under Doctors=and spent all she had=But she

STILL GREW WORSE=But she  SEES Jesus and thinks to herself=”If I can just=TOUCH his clothes=

I will be HEALED’”                                                                                                                                     Mark 5:29

And immediately=She was=and her suffering stopped=and Jesus said to her’=’Daughter

Your Faith has HEALED you=Go in peace=and be freed=from your suffering’”               Mark 5:34

 

And so my SISTERS AND BROTHERS=There are 2 or 3 things=that I KNOW about

HEALINGS=about miracles=First of all=ALL MIRACLES=Come from God=and all MIRACLES

And HEALINGS are a JOURNEY =But mostly what I know  is=HEALING is a GIFT OF FAITH

From God!

 

“NOW FAITH is confidence=In what we hope for=and ASSURANCE about=what we do

NOT SEE”                                                                                                                                                    Hebrews 11:1

So MY BROTHERS and sisters=KEEP putting ONE foot=In front of the other=for

HEALING IS A JOURNEY!=That asks us=TO TRUST=In the Lord=It is something BEYOND ourselves=

So keep REACHING OUT=Keep CALLING for God and his Son=and LIVE Your Life

IN FAITH=and love and compassion=for others!

 

In Jesus’ name=and IN the name=of our forever loving=forever LIVING=Forever MIRACLE

KEEP THE FAITH GUYS=GOD LOVES YOU=and so do I

 

LOTS OF MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS=and adjustments coming up!=LOVE YOU!

GOD BLESS THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY TOO!

God loves his children

He will

Go to the ends of the earth

For you

Lost sheep

Where have you gone

What have you been lost to

Is it alcohol-money-drugs-or sex

It doesn’t really matter

There is still hope for you

If you believe in God

 

God loves his children

He never gives up on them

He is just waiting

For you to return to him

With an open heart

 

God loves his children

He will

Go the ends of the earth

For you

No matter how far

 

God loves his children

We are all

Children of God

 

God loves his children

He is

HE ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS=BEFORE

(We can even ask=WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD)!

 

Do you LIKE=To WAIT for things?=I hate it=I can even get a little=IMPATIENT!=And

Sometimes I am IMPATIENT=even with God=WHEN God takes TOO LONG =to ANSWER MY PRAYERS=Where is my answer?=When is it coming?==But we SHOULD=Take a step

Back=and PRAISE and HONOR our Jesus=WAIT for his ANSWER=It will be PERFECT=and it

WILL=Be in accordance with OUR GOD’S WILL=When it does come!=”On one occasion=

While he was eating with them=He gave them this command’=’Do NOT leave Jerusalem=

BUT WAIT=For the gift My Father Promised=Which you have heard me speak about=For

John baptized with water=but IN a few days=You will be baptized with the

HOLY SPIRIT’”                                                                                                                                                      Acts 1:4-5

 

But TODAY=On the feast of THE ASCENSION=There is ONE THING=we must be ALWAYS=

Aware of=and it is THE TRUTH=The Truth is=The Holy Father God=and HIS SON=always hear

OUR PRAYERS=The TRUTH is in=The HOLY FATHER GOD and his SON=and they are=

CARRYING the SPIRIT of the Lord=WE MUST ASK=but we must LEARN to=WAIT for the

ANSWERS=”WAIT for the Lord=Be strong and take heart=and WAIT for the Lord”       Psalm 27:14

“I WAIT for the Lord=My whole being WAITS=and in his WORD=I put my HOPE=I WAIT

For the Lord=More than watchmen=Wait for the morning=MORE than watchmen WAIT=for

The morning”                                                                                                                                                      Psalm 130:5-6

“The Lord longs= to be GRACIOUS to you=Therefore he will rise up=to show you compassion=

For the Lord is a God=Of justice=Blessed are all=who WAIT FOR HIM”                            Isaiah  30:18

 

Today=on the FEAST of the Ascension=Jesus tells his DISCIPLES=To WAIT AND PRAY=and I

THINK that is something GOOD=for all of us to do =as we WAIT on the ANSWERS to our PRAYERS=

From the Holy Father God=and his SON=OUR HEARTS=Want the answer=That it wants=But we

MAY have to WAIT=as God brings us=A DIFFERENT answer to us=at least at first=”Not only so=But

We ourselves=Who have the first  fruits=OF THE SPIRIT= Groan inwardly=as we WAIT eagerly=For

Our adoption to Sonship=The REDEMPTION of our bodies”                                                       Romans 8:23

“They tell=HOW you turned to God=from idols=To Serve the LIVING and true God=and to WAIT

For His Son from heaven=Whom he raised from the dead=--------Jesus=Who rescues us from the

Coming wrath”                                                                                                                                    1 Thessalonians 1:10              

“……..While we WAIT=for the BLESSED HOPE=---------The appearing of=The glory of Our great God

And savior=Jesus Christ=Who gave himself for us=To REDEEM US=from all wickedness=and to

Purify himself=A people that are his very own=EAGER to do what is good”                     Titus   2:13-15          

 

IF you are like me=You wanted your ANSWERS to your prayers yesterday=But if you are also=

LIKE ME=In waiting for the answers=You KNOW=The Holy Father God=and his SON=When he

BRINGS the answers==Will bring you answers=FAR BEYOND your wildest expectations=and it

Will be=WELL WORTH THE WAIT=For our God is a GOOD GOD=a loving God=a GRACIOUS GOD=

“I WAITED patiently=for the Lord=He turned to me=and heard my cry=”                          Psalm 40:1

“For the creation=WAITS in eager expectation=For the Children of God=

To be Revealed”                                                                                                                                             Romans 8:19     

 

BE PATIENT=My dear sisters and brothers=For when the LORD ANSWERS=YOUR ANSWERS=It

Will be BEYOND EXPECTATION=and PERMEATE though the LIFE of your soul=It will be

WELL WORTH THE WAIT!

 

HAPPY FEAST of the Ascension!=THE SPOKEN WORD of God=LIVES IN US!

In Jesus’ name=and IN THE NAME of=our ever LOVING=ever living=and INFINITELY LASTING

WORDS of our Father=and His Son!

HOW MUCH COURAGE

HAVE YOU GOT

 

 

How much courage have you got

How hard have worked

How long have you fought

To get to this place in your life

Which you have always sought

Had to get to this place

In order to get to the next stage

 

I remember-planning it all so well

In my idle thoughts

 

Now again

When all looks lost

I get this urge-to throw in the towel

Even if-it’s only for awhile

 

But somehow-I have to remain strong

Even when my life

Is turning out all wrong

 

How much courage have you got

Do you remember how hard that you fought

Can you rise to the occasion again

To fight a battle-you know you can’t win

 

But maybe just holding your own-is a win

Can you rise to the occasion again

Remember how hard that you fought

Do you want to throw in the towel

How much courage have you got

 

It comes from inside-but I can’t say where

I want to quit

But I searched all through me-and there is NO QUIT in there

And somehow-I continue to care

I fight through the hopelessness and fear

And with the future-looking so very bleak

And feeling like I have been thrown

To the snakes in the pit

I do things-others would never dare

 

How much courage have you got

How hard have you worked

How long have you fought

 

Do you want to throw in the towel

If you do-then do it now

You got the towel in your hand

But the hand is not moving anywhere

Because you can’t

 

You’ve been in too many tight spots

The things that you have learned

And the things that you have taught

To let it all go for not

 

How much courage have you got

How long have you worked

How hard have you fought

To get to this place in your life

Which you have always sought

Had to get to this place

In order to get to the next stage

 

Can you rise to the occasion again

To fight a battle that you know-YOU CAN’T WIN

But holding on is a win

And as long as you got life

 

You will find the COURAGE

To do it again and again

“And NOW-Lord-take note of their threats-and enable your SERVANTS-to speak to your WORD-with ALL BOLDNESS........”    Acts 4:29

We live in a dangerous world-a world with terrorist threats that seem to be becoming MORE DANGEROUS every day-a world with crime on our streets-in every city in America-and it has never been more dangerous-sometimes-it seems we are NOT even safe living in our own homes

Yet the message of EASTER still resounds in us/and in me/choose GOD-choose life-we NEVER have to be ashamed of God or Christ

WHERE we are in life-is the SUM OF ALL the choices that we have made-and I am PROUD of the choices that I have made/and I am happy to be a GOD and CHRIST follower-doing my best to LIVE what Jesus has taught us=love-forgive-and BE KIND

LIVE in the SPIRIT of God-

Walk in the spirit of Christ

DON'T live in the gray area-but LIVE BOLDLY in the spirit of love 

IT IS a GREAT DAY to be ALIVE in GOD'S LOVE For us

LIVING IN GOD

Do you ever feel

Like that

You have died

To this world

That you are no longer

Carrying yourself

BUT that it is God and Christ

Who are carrying you

I often have

SINCE my deathbed experience

At age 22

“I have been 

CRUCIFIED with Christ

And I no longer live

But Christ LIVES in me

The life I live

In the body

I LIVE BY FAITH

In the SON OF GOD

Who loves me

And gave himself for me”                                            Galatians 2:20

I COMPLETELY

Identify with Saint Paul

Left to my own devices

And my own strength

I don't feel like

I could take another step

IT IS GOD 

It is Christ

Who are

Completely carrying me

Saint Paul

Is the EPITOME

Of what it means

To be a CHRISTIAN

He is REAL

He is HONEST

He has a firm sense

Of his own gifts

SOMETIMES he is boastful

And yet he is

Also HUMBLE

AND AWARE of his own weaknesses

“I DO NOT UNDERSTAND

What I do

For what

I want to do

I do not do

BUT what I hate

I do”                                                                        Romans 7:15

MAYBE we are 

A lot more like Paul

Than we care

To admit

OUR INTENTIONS

Are good

WE WANT to do good

For others

But for whatever reason

Sometimes we are UNABLE

To carry it out

But Paul CHOSE GOD

Over sin

Are we able

To do the same

For if we can do that

We are truly LIVING IN GOD

As Paul was

And in Philippians

Paul writes:

“I am caught

BETWEEN the two

I long to DEPART

This life

And be with Christ

For that

Is far better

Yet I am REMAINING

In the flesh

It is more necessary

For your BENEFIT”                                                      Philippians 1:23-24

I empathize with Paul

In this area too

I WISH

I could leave this world

And LIVE FOREVER in Christ

But God wants me

IN this world

For whatever reason

And I will

GIVE my testimony of God-

MY TESTIMONY OF GOD'S LOVE for them-

To whoever WILL LISTEN

Dear Lord

I am LIVING on

Your coattails 

You are

THE LOVE of my life

And I am

LIVING IN GOD
