A FATHER SHOULD BE

 

 

A father should be

A source of inspiration

For his child

 

A father should try

To be a sign of

Love, honesty, and hope

 

A father should be

Fun to be with

For his child

 

A father should be

A disciplinarian

For his child-when he has to be

 

A father should know

That more than

The material things

He brings his family

It’s the intrinsic values

That he teaches children

That are most important

 

A father should know

He will fall short

From time to time

 

Most of all

A father should know

That we love him

No matter what

And it is up to his children

To tell him so

THE FATHER OF US ALL---SAINT JOSEPH

 

He was

The Father of all Fathers

The Father of Jesus

Our Lord

 

The angel of the Lord

Appeared to Joseph

 

“Do not be afraid

To take Mary as your wife

Because what is conceived in her

Is from the Holy Spirit”

 

Are you serious Lord

 

Could you imagine

How you would react

How I would react

How anyone would react

To this---in today’s world

 

Joseph was a righteous man

He did not want

To expose Mary to public disgrace

So he stood by her

 

Then the angel

Told Joseph

To take the child and Mary---to Egypt

And he did this too

 

He was

A carpenter by trade

And as his human Father---

Along with Mary

Was responsible for developing the human traits and character

Of Jesus

 

Our Saint Joseph

A man of righteousness

A man of honor and faith

The Patron Saint of Fathers

 

Our Saint Joseph

Who stood tall

In the midst

Of it all

 

Our Saint Joseph

The Father of the Holy Family

Our Saint Joseph

The Father of the Universal Church

A PERSON---NOT A NUMBER

 

 

You are a person

Not a number

You are a person

To be loved

 

Maybe not

To this world

But to God

 

God knows

Every inch of you

It is said

He even knows

The number

Of hairs

On your head

 

So when

This world

Gets you down

Remember

You are a person

With dignity

You are a person

Worthy of respect

 

God loves you infinitely

 

You are a person

Not a number

RUNNING ON FAITH!

 

 

 

 

 

 

RUNNING ON  FAITH!

(With my NEW HAT=IN OUR GOD’S  LOVE)

 

About  6 months ago=At the Hallmark store=I found a NEW HAT=that read=

“RUNNING ON FAITH”=and it is PLAIN WHITE too=with GOLD Lettering=I brought

It out a couple of weeks ago=”Do you not know=THAT IN A RACE=All the runners

Run=But only ONE=gets the prize=Run in such a way=to get the prize”      1 Corinthians 9:24

 

When I was YOUNG=I ran 5 or  6 MILES a every day=and the PLAN =was to

EVENTUALLY RUN a ½ marathon=and a marathon=But all the OPERATIONS=and

Chronic illness and PAIN=took its toll on me=But like the hat says=I am=RUNNING

ON FAITH now=and I am Running a race=OF SPIRITUAL ENDURANCE=to  hopefully get

THE PRIZE=of someday LIVING with The HOLY FATHER God=and Jesus FOREVER=

I am=Running the race=OF MY LIFE=and so are you=For Christ’s=and the Holy

Father’s LOVE=We are=RUNNING ON FAITH=With perseverance and endurance=for

The PRIZE=of eternal LIFE with God

 

“……..But those who HOPE in the Lord=Will renew their strength=They will soar

On wings like eagles=They will RUN=and not grow weary=They will walk and not be

Faint”                                                                                                                                                                 Isaiah 40:31

“I press on=toward the goal=to WIN THE PRIZE=for which  God has called me=

Heavenward=In  Christ  Jesus”                                                                                                          Philippians 3:14

“Therefore since we are surrounded=By such a great cloud of witnesses=Let us throw

Off everything=That hinders and the sin that so easily entangles=And let us

RUN WITH PERSEVERANCE=The RACE marked out for us=Fixing our eyes on Jesus=

The pioneer and Perfecter of OUR FAITH”                                                                                         Hebrews 12:1-2

 

Let us face it=RUNNING a physical marathon=Takes great practice and TRAINING=Plus

Endurance  and perseverance=But running a SPIRITUAL MARATHON=Requires the same=

It takes=”RUNNING ON FAITH”=It takes PRAYING daily=It takes dedication and FOLLOWING

The example=Of the Holy Father God and Jesus=as well as the prophets=the apostles=and

ALL of the saints=It does TAKE PRAYING=Reading the SCRIPTURES DAILY=as well as=OUR FAITH

IN our Church and endurance and perseverance

 

“May the God=WHO GIVES ENDURANCE=and encouragement=Give you the same ATTITUDE

Of mind=Toward each other=That Christ Jesus had=So that with one mind=and one voice=You

May GLORIFY  the God and Father=Of our Lord Jesus Christ”                                                  Romans 15:5-6

“You need TO PERSEVERE=so that when you have done=The Will of God=You will receive=

What he HAS PROMISED”                                                                                                                           Hebrews 10:36

 

And WHAT=has our Lord=PROMISED US=my dear sisters and brothers=He has promised us

A lifetime of ETENAL love and life=with HIM=and his Father forever=If we are BELIEVERS=and

Servants of the Holy Father God=and LIVING our life in FAITH and servitude=”Now FAITH is

Confidence=In what we hope for=and ASSURANCE about=what we do NOT SEE”      Hebrews 11:1

 

My brothers and sisters=Keep on RUNNING the race of YOUR LIFE=Keep RUNNING ON FAITH=

For IF we do this=We will=MEET UP TOGETHER=In the eternal kingdom=OF GOD’S LOVE=

With OUR CREATOR AND HIS SON=We are=RUNNING ON FAITH!

 

IN Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING=forever living=FOREVER FAITHFUL

I read the newspaper today

It says

That child-abuse is over-stated

It says the child-abuse statistics

Are over-inflated

 

Even if that is true

What if you are

The one that

It happened to

 

What if the one-in-a-million

Is you

 

One-in-a-million you

Has your life been destroyed

Can you recover

From this tragedy

Can you build a life

 

We pray for

The one-in-a million-you

 

We love

The one-in-a-million-you

FINDING A DEEPER SPIRITUAL CONNECTION WITH GOD

 

FINDING A DEEPER SPIRITUAL

CONNECTION WITH GOD

Wouldn't WE all like

A DEEPER spiritual connection

With God?  With Jesus?

In these times of technology

And NOISE=it seems like

Someone or something IS

Invading our comfort zone=

At EVERY single moment

Our world is FILLED with

Distractions-with disturbances-

And INTERRUPTIONS

“COME AWAY by yourselves

To a deserted place

And REST awhile”                                                                                          Mark 6:31

It just seems as though

We have to make TIME

For ourselves=make room

FOR OURSELVES

It just seems as though

We have to FIND a

Deserted place=a QUIET PLACE

For ourselves to PRAY

To FORM a deeper SPIRITUAL

CONNECTION with God

Finding that deeper CONNECTION

Finding that quiet PLACE

WITH GOD

“He makes me lie down

In green pastures

He leads me

Beside QUIET WATERS”                                                                                         Psalm 23:2

“And to make it

Your ambition

To lead=A QUIET life

You should mind

Your own business

And work 

With your hands

Just as we told you”                                                                                            1 Thessalonians 4:11

“Rather-it should be

That of your INNER LIFE

The unfading beauty

Of a gentle-and

QUIET SPIRIT

Which is of great worth

In God's sight”                                                                                                     1 Peter 3:4

FINDING that QUIET place=

Finding a deeper SPIRITUAL CONNECTION

With God

Jesus often left his disciples

And spent some time ALONE=

PRAYING to his Father

Perhaps that is WHAT

We need to do too=

SPEND some time alone

With our Father GOD=in order

To develop

That DEEPER SPIRITUAL CONNECTION

In that time=we can

FORM that deeper relationship

With God

“Never be lacking

In zeal

But keep

Your SPIRITUAL FERVOR

Serving the Lord”                                                                                                         Romans 12:11

“........you also

Like living stones

Are being built

Into a SPIRITUAL HOUSE

To be a holy priesthood

Offering SPIRITUAL sacrifices

Acceptable to God

Through Jesus Christ”                                                                                           1 Peter 2:5

Dear Lord=we CRAVE

That SPIRITUAL TIME with you 

That alone time=that QUIET TIME

Where we can find

A DEEPER SPIRITUAL CONNECTION 

With you 

Like your SON Jesus

THERE we can find

What is really MEANINGFUL in our

Life=like you LORD=and our FAMILY

In Jesus' name and in the name of our ALL LOVING FATHER

NORMAL IS NOT COMING BACK=JESUS IS=AND THE FATHER!

 

 

 

 

 

 

NORMAL=IS NOT COMING BACK

(JUST JESUS=and OUR Holy Father GOD)

 

My Uncle Rege=BROUGHT ME

This hat that reads=”NORMAL

ISN’T COMING BACK=JESUS IS”

 

And I have to tell you=I

Really believe that=I have

NEVER SEEN=times like these

Since COVID HIT=If we don’t get

The RETURN of our God

 

I do BELIEVE=we NEED the PRESENCE

Of our God=LIVING in the hearts

Of you and me

 

LIVING IN=our hearts=minds=and souls

We are GOING=to see

The presence of God=IN you and me

 

NORMAL=is not coming back

Just Jesus=and OUR HOLY FATHER GOD!

God will RETURN=Jesus will return=it is

Just a MATTER OF TIME

 

“If you RETURN=to the Lord

Then your fellow Israelites=and your children

Will be shown compassion

 

By their captors=and will RETRURN=to this land

For the Lord=your God=is gracious and compassionate”                                                        2 Chronicles 3:9

 

“But if you=RETURN TO ME=and

Obey my commands…….”                                                                                                           Nehimiah 1:9

 

“Come let us=RETURN to the Lord=

He has=torn us to pieces=but

He will heal us

 

He has injured us==but

He will bind up=our wounds”                                                                                                       Hosea 6:1

 

I wear=MY HAT=everywhere

I go=we have to get ready

FOR THE SECOND COMING=of

Our Lord=and his Holy Father God

 

NORMAL=is not coming back

JUST JESUS=and the Holy Father God

It is=just a MATTER OF TIME

 

“For this was how=The promise

Was stated=’At the APPOINTED TIME

I will RETURN=and Sarah will have

A son’”                                                                                                                                      Romans 9:9

 

“……..so Christ was sacrificed

To take away=the sins of many

 

And he will appear=A SECOND TIME

Not to bear sin=but to BRING

Salvation to those=who

Are waiting for him”                                                                                                          Hebrews 10:28

 

“For it is TIME=for judgment

To begin=with God’s household

 

And if=it begins with us=what will

The outcome be=for those who do not obey

The gospel of God?”                                                                                                     1 Peter 4:17

 

I have NEVER SEEN=times

Like the past five years=so many of us

HAVE TURNED=our backs on God=TURNED

Our backs on Jesus

 

So much crime=NO COOPERATION

No unity=with our people

POLITICAL chaos=disunity=but please

 

DON’T COUNT OUT=our God

Don’t count out =OUR JESUS

These TIMES=were made for

 

The HOLY FATHER GOD=and

The RETURN of Jesus=NORMAL

IS NOT COMING=JESUS IS

Along with=OUR HOLY FATHER GOD!
