PRAISE THE GOD OF LOVE!=

(In GOOD TIMES=and in BAD)

 

It is=A LITTLE EASIER=To Praise God and PRAY=During the GOOD TIMES of our life=

But as CHRISTIANS/and/or Catholics=It is OUR DUTY=To PRAISE THE GOD OF LIFE=In

Both the good times=and in our BAD TIMES too=”The LORD GAVE=and the Lord has=

Taken AWAY=BLESSED BE=The name of The LORD”                                                                            Job 1:21

WHEN we go through DIFFICULT TIMES=It is easy=To go Through the “WHY ME” stage=I

Have done that=Maybe you have too=But we ALWAYS=Have to get back to=PRAISING THE

GOD OF LOVE=Through all the TIMES of our life

 

WHEN the HARD TIMES=Fall on us=We do not=Want to go to Christian Service=Or to MASS=and

We begin to DOUBT=whether God is WITH US=But he is=STILL LIVING in us=For he is=THE

DIVINE AUTHOR OF LIFE=and He gives us the EXAMPLE of Job=On How to PRAISE  THE DIVINE

God of LOVE above=In times of BLESSINGS=and in difficult Times=

“I will PROCLAIM the name of the Lord=Oh=PRAISE THE GREATNESS=Of

Our God”                                                                                                                                                     Deuteronomy 32:3

“The women said to Naomi’=’PRAISE be to the Lord=Who this day=Has NOT left you=Without

A Guardian-Redeemer=May he become famous Throughout Israel”                                   Ruth 4:14

“I will extol=The Lord at all times=HIS PRAISE=will ALWAYS be=On my lips”              Psalm 34:1

PRAISING THE GOD OF LOVE!=In good times=and During the bad times=Of OUR LIFE!

 

WHEN we can do this=It is a TREMENDOUS GRACE=Given to us=By the Holy Father God and=

His Son Jesus Christ=and Job is AN EXAMPLE for us too==IF we can do this=Through all of our

Circumstances=The loving Father God=has a PLAN for our HAPPINESS=and Like Job=Our loving

Father will give us  BACK=MORE in ABUNDANCE=than LIFE took from us=”After JOB=had Prayed for

HIS FRIENDS=The Lord RESTORED his fortunes=and gave him=TWICE as much=as he had

Before”                                                                                                                                                                      Job 42:10

And the Lord=OUR GOD OF LOVE=Will do the SAME=for you and me=PRAISING OUR GOD OF LOVE!=In the good times=and the BAD TIMES of our life

 

Our Holy Father God=Always INVITES US=To UNITE our very own sufferings=With those of Jesus=

His SON=and the CROSS=When he REDEEMED THE WORLD!=So KEEP on Praying=To the Father

And the Son=During the DIFFICULT TIMES=Of your life=

“Do you Hear=What these children are saying?’=They asked him=’Yes’=Replied Jesus=Have you

Never read=’From the lips of children and infants=You Lord=Have called forth

Your PRAISE?’”                                                                                                                                                 Matthew 21:16

“But because of the Pharisees=They would NOT openly acknowledge their Faith=For fear=

They would be put=Out of the synagogue=For they LOVED HUMAN PRAISE=More than PRAISE=

From God”                                                                                                                                                       John 12:42-43

“For he chose us=In him=Before the creation of the world=To be holy and Blameless=in his sight=

In love=He predestined us=For adoption=To sonship through Jesus Christ=In accordance with

To guard you in ALL your ways

They will lift you up

In their hands

So that you will

NOT strike your foot

Against a stone”

 

HEAVENLY---to be sure

 

I have had

Many earthly angels in my life

My parents---my two sisters

Other family members and friends

To HELP me along the way

 

I know

I wouldn’t be sitting here writing this

If not for them

 

But there are angels

From heaven

That God has actually used

To deliver messages

 

We know

That the angel Gabriel

Appeared to Zachariah

At the birth of John the Baptist

 

And above all

We know that he appeared to Mary

To ask her

To be THE MOTHER OF GOD

 

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL

 

Then we have Saint Michael

OUR defender and protector

TO HELP US

Against the wickedness and the snares of the devil

 

Michael appears to us

IN the book of Daniel

As the special GUARDIAN AND PROTECTOR of Israel

 

And in the book of Revelation

As the PRINCIPAL fighter for God

In the fight

Between good and evil

 

Michael’s POWER is so strong

That it is believed

That souls can be rescued

Even from hell itself

 

May we ALL be so lucky

 

Finally we have the angel Raphael

Named in the book of Tobit

 

Raphael’s name means,

“GOD HAS HEALED”

 

My wish for ALL of you:

 

IS that you be TOUCHED by many beings

Both heavenly and earthly

To help you

On life’s journey

 

And that you feel

God’s love and presence---SO STRONG---

Inside of you

That you Know

That you have been BLESSED by God

For our SINS=ESPECIALLY in this day and AGE=THE TRUTH IS=we are Responsible=

For ourselves!=”Hear you Israelites’=’Is my way UNJUST?=Is it not YOUR WAYS=

That are unjust?’”=                                                                                                                                   Ezekiel18:25

BEING RESPONSIBLE=For our own sins=As we REMAIN=TRUE TO GOD!

 

Ezekiel tells us=WE CAN CHANGE=If we sin=We can reform and REPENT!=And if we=are

GOOD=we can still TURN to evil=Be Responsible=REMAIN TRUE to God and Jesus!

“But the servant replied’=’Look in this town=There is a man OF GOD=He is HIGHLY RESPECTED=

And everything=He says comes TRUE’”                                                                                    1 Samuel 9:6

“All your words=are TRUE=All your righteous laws are eternal”                                             Psalm 119:160

“Now this is eternal life=To all those you have given him=That they know you=The only TRUE GOD=

RETURN to the Holy Father God and HIS SON!=But we MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for

Our lives=”Remember Lord=Your GREAT MERCY and love=For they are from

“In his LOVE and MERCY=He redeemed them=He lifted them up=and carried them=ALL

I am sure

You have heard the saying:

“Charity begins at home”

 

I am here to tell you

That that is NOT true

 

It is not true today

Was not true yesterday

And will never ever be true

 

Saint Vincent DePaul

Was born in to a peasant family

Was educated by the Franciscans

And became a priest

At the age of 19

 

His following

Consisted of people

Who were rich and fashionable

Yet Vincent himself

Was utterly devoted to the poor and oppressed

 

A heart of compassion

A heart of charity

A heart of love

 

He founded

A congregation of priests

Who would live from a community fund

Renounce all church support

And work to help reestablish faith

In the smaller towns and villages

 

In that same year---1625

He established the Sisters of Charity

The first congregation of “unenclosed” women

Totally devoted to the poor and the sick

 

He was a LEGEND

Even in his own lifetime

 

He touched all people

Clergy and lay people alike

Rich and poor

Outcasts and convicts

 

A CHARITABLE HEART to be sure

 

Legend has it

That EVEN NOW---almost 600 years later---after his death

That his physical heart has NOT decayed---is still incorrupt

 

So we need no further testimony

Than God himself

About the charity---about the heart

Of a man named Vincent DePaul

 

Like the saying goes,

We all KNOW THEM=

From Matthew=what

The TWO GREATEST commandments are

 

LOVE GOD=above all else

And LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR=as ourself

UNFORTUNATELY=many of us

Seem to NOT know them=much less

DO THEM

 

We live in a

ME-FIRST=selfish world=

We have to get back=to

LIVING that love=to PRACTICING HUMILITY

By putting God and others

ABOVE=our very own selfish interests

 

REMAINING IN=GOD’S AND JESUS’ LOVE

Practicing humility=by

Putting others first

 

“HE GUIDES THE HUMBLE=

In what is right=and

Teaches them his way”                                                                                                         Psalm 25:9

 

“These are the ones

I look on=with favor

 

THOSE WHO ARE HUMBLE=

And contrite in spirit=and who tremble

At my word”                                                                                                                            Isaiah 66:2

 

Jesus is CLEAR=

In letting us KNOW=

HOW we are to=LOVE ONE ANOTHER

 

It is=by

Laying our lives down

For OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS

We can do that

By DYING for someone else=LIKE JESUS DID

 

Or we CAN do that

BY LIVING our lives=THROUGH

The GIVING of our lives

 

Like the SAINTS do=Like missionaries

Priests=nuns=ministers=and like medical people

Police men and women=and service people

 

PRACTICE HUMILITY=REMAIN IN

GOD’S AND JESUS’ LOVE=live for others

 

“If you=REMAIN IN ME

And my words=REMAIN in you

Ask whatever you wish=and it

Will be done for you”                                                                                                          John 15:7

 

“Let no debt=REMAIN OUTSTANDING

Except the continuing debt=

To love one another=for

Whoever loves others=has fulfilled the law”                                                                    Romans 13:8

 

Jesus’ love=in our world

IS ALIVE=every time

WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER=every time

We put=GOD’S LOVE for another

Above our own interests

 

We love God=we HONOR God

And we=REMAIN IN GOD’S LOVE

By loving one another

Of our lives=Are the Holy Father God=His Son Jesus=and  the SPIRIT of God=Of LOVE=

Living in ALL of us=”There is a TIME for everything=and a SEASON=for every activity=Under

The Sun”                                                                                                                                                 Ecclesiastes 3:1

 

This PASSAGE made me think=Of that CLASSIC song by=THE BYRDS=”Turn=Turn=Turn”

And all the SEASONS of our life=The times OF JOY=and of LIFE=and the Times of loss or

Death=But in EVERY SEASON of our lives=The Father is there=The SON is there=and the SPIRIT

Of God=is there=FINDING the Father=and the Son=IN ALL the seasons of our LIFE=

“Preach the word=Be prepared IN SEASON=and out of Season=Correct=Rebuke=and

Encourage=--------with great Patience and careful instruction”                             2 Timothy 4:2

BEPREPARED=to FIND God=In the good seasons=LOOK for God in=The bad seasons=and in

SEASON of our life=Our God of LIFE and of Love=Never abandons us=For he is with us ALWAYS!

“Therefore go=and make disciples of ALL nations=Baptizing them=In the name of The Father=and

Of the Son=and of the Holy Spirit=and teaching them to obey everything=I have commanded you=

And Surely=I am WITH YOU ALWAYS=To the very end of the age”                                     Matthew 28:19-20

“But in your hearts=Revere Christ as Lord=ALWAYS be prepared=to give an answer to Everyone=

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

LIFE WILL BRING YOU TO YOUR KNEES

 

 

It may be health

It may be money

It may be

Trying to be someone

You are not supposed to be

One way or another

Life will bring you

To your knees

 

You might not think it

But in that time

Is your opportunity

To find God

And to find yourself

 

Because I have been there

And that was the only place

For me to find true happiness

There just wasn’t anyone

Or anything else

 

It may be health

It may be money

It may be trying to be someone

That you are not

 

Someone that you shouldn’t be

One way or another

Life will bring you

To your knees

 

That just might be

Your opportunity

To find God

To find peace

Inside of yourself

While you are down

On your knees

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=THE WORD OF GOD

 

 

 

 

 

 

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=THE WORD OF GOD!

 

I have heard that SHEEP

Were dumb=wimpy=and

FAR too dependent

 

But I have been

SET STRAIGHT=

I understand now

That they are NURTURING-

Intelligent-and independent

They=like us=

FULLY RECOGNIZE

The voice of God

 

Is it any wonder

That Jesus=calls us sheep?

 

Is it any wonder

That we follow him=

And recognize HIS WORDS

When he calls us?

 

“My sheep

Hear my VOICE=

Says the Lord

 

I know them

And they FOLLOW ME”                                                                                                              John 10:27

 

God wants us

To HEAR the words-

Of his son=Jesus

 

God the HOLY FATHER

Wants us=to FOLLOW

The voice of Jesus

 

We are to THINK about

Jesus’ words

In the bible

 

We are to mull on them=

To REFLECT on them

And really=take them

INTO OUR HEARTS

 

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=

THE VOICE OF GOD!

 

“Today-if only

You would=HEAR HIS VOICE=

Harden not your hearts”                                                                                                  Psalm 95:7-8

 

“Whether you turn

To the right=or to the left

 

Your ears=will HEAR A VOICE

Behind you=saying

‘This is the way-

Walk in it’”                                                                                                                             Isaiah 30:21

 

We are to LISTEN

To the WORDS of God=

And the words

Of Jesus=and follow him

 

We are=NOT to

Filter out=any words

That we do not like

 

The words of God

ARE the words of God=

And the words of Jesus

Are the words of Jesus=

They are FAITH-FILLED

With the Holy Spirit

 

“Today=if you HEAR his voice=

Harden not your hearts

 

As you did=in the rebellion

During the times

Of testing=in the wilderness”                                                                                           Hebrews 3:7-8

 

As difficult=as it may be

We are to NURTURE

All the words of God=

Listen to Jesus=and FOLLOW HIM

 

A good question is=

Are we FOLLOWING Jesus

In thought=in word=

And in deed?

 

HEARING AND FOLLOWING=

The words of God=and Jesus

Today=and every day=

For ALL the days of our lives

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS TEACHING=Holy Father God!
