WITH POVERTY OF SPIRIT=IS
Where it BEGINS!
Is it ANY WONDER=Jeus BEGINS his PREACHING of the
BEATITUDES=Talking
About the POOR IN SPIRIT?=Most of us=MYSELF INCLUDED=We FIND
Our=Holy
Father God=Our Jesus=at our NADIR=at our VERY LOWEST POINT=”He
BEGAN to teach
Them=Saying’=’Blessed are the=POOR IN SPIRIT=for theirs
is=The Kingdom
Of heaven’”
Matthew 5:2-3
And so MANY of us=BEGIN our SEARCH FOR GOD=at our Most
lowest point=Jesus
KNEW right=Where to hit us=Right in our HEART=and the
BEATITUDES are=ONE of=
The great ingredients=OF MY LIFE=Along with Loving
God=Loving Others=and Forgiving
Others=ALONG with a=Couple of things my Mom Taught me=About
LOVE AND TRUTH!
Where we BEGIN=is with POVERTY OF SPIRIT=Jesus HITS US=with
his BEST SHOT=Right
From the BEGINNING!
“Keep falsehood=and les far from me=Give me=NEITHER POVERTY
nor riches=But give
Me=Only my daily bread”
Proverbs 30:8
“Calling his disciples to him=Jesus said’=’Truly I tell you=This
poor widow=Has put more
Into the treasury=Than all the others=They all gave=Out of
their wealth=But she=OUT
OF HER POVERTY=Put in everything=all she had to live on’”
Mark 12:43-44
And this REPRESENTS TO ME=What POVERTY of Spirit really
is=Continuing to GIVE=Even
When you=Have NOTHING MORE to give=Physically=Financially=Or
Spiritually=This is
Where poverty of SPIRIT BEGINS!=And that is BECAUSE=At our
lowest POINT=When we have
NOTHING=We throw ourselves into=THE LAP OF GOD=and that is
WHERE it all BEGINS=with POVERTY of Spirit=Jesus knew this=and Taught us THE
BEATITUDES
“In the midst=Of a very severe trial=Their overflowing
joy=and their EXTREME POVERTY=Welled
Up in rich generosity”
2 Corinthians 8:2
“For you know=The grace of our Lord= Jesus Christ=That
though he was rich=Yet for your
Sake=He became poor=So that you=THROUGH HIS POVERTY=
Might become rich” 2
Corinthians 8:9
Dear Lord=we PRAY About what Jesus taught us=and we
pray=That we MAY obtain=the
HEART OF a CHILD==For that is where we FIND GOD=It is a
RADICAL UNDERSTANDING=
Of true poverty=and How MUCH Jesus loves us=For to have a
HEART of a child=is to FIND
Poverty of SPIRIT=and this is WHERE IT BEGINS
“For to us=A CHILD IS BORN==to us a son is given=and the
government will be=On his
Shoulders”
Isaiah 9:6
“The wolf will=Live with the lamb=The leopard will lie
down=With the goat=The calf and
The lion=and the yearling together=and A LITTLE CHILD=will
lead them” Isaiah

“As a mother=COMFORTS HER CHILD=So I will comfort you=And
you will be comforted

Dear Lord=We pray for=THE POVERTY OF SPIRIT=Taught to us=By
Jesus=With his
BEATITUDES=and we Pray that=we have that=POVERTY Of
Spirit=Like the poor widow=and
The heart of a CHILD=and mostly LIKE JESUS HIMSELF!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name of HIS ever living
and LOVING FATHER=who both
Teach us=That POVERTY OF SPIRIT=Is WHERE it all Begins!
