COMES to us=

Every day=and in EVERY WAY

That he can

Jesus is our template=

He is our MODEL=

He is our example=

He is OUR WAY

“........we should grow

In EVERY WAY into him=

It is the SMALL THINGS

In life=that add up

To make us

WHO WE ARE

The prayers we say EVERY DAY=

The bible readings=

We do every day-

The ROSARIES that we say each day    

The small things 

ADD UP

To make us the

WHOLE PERSON

That we are=

The whole person

That we BECOME

We have CHOICES

To make in this life

We can CHOOSE

Not to make 

That negative remark

We can change=and ADOPT

A MORE POSITIVE position

A more positive attitude=about life

And ABOUT OTHERS

I n EVERY DAY-and-

IN EVERY WAY

Our Jesus=our Lord

COMES TO US

“Surely your goodness and love

Will follow me

All the DAYS of my life=

And I will dwell

In the house of the Lord-forever”                                                                             Psalm 23:6

“OUR DAYS-

May come to seventy years=

Or eighty-

IF our strength endures........”                                                                                          Psalm 90:10

However LONG-our lives last

We can spend them

With the LORD  

We can spend OUR DAY

With the Lord=

No matter what we are doing

No matter

What OUR WAYS ARE

“........a voice of one calling

In the wilderness=

'Prepare the WAY

Of the Lord=

Make straight paths for him'”                                                                                     Matthew 3:3

“........By a new and LIVING WAY

Opened for us

Through the curtain

Make a meal for a sick NEIGHBOR=

Tell the bus driver

What a GREAT JOB he is doing

We GROW IN CHRIST=

Through a lot of small WAYS-

Through a lot of

SMALL CHOICES=every day

CHOOSE Christ's way-

Choose to FOLLOW his example=

Every day=and IN EVERY WAY=

EVERY SINGLE DAY!=of your life

PRAYER IS MY=OUR=BEST WEAPON!

 

WE live=In an exasperating world=at times=WHERE it seems we

Are ALL under attack=from the devil=from the world=or sometimes other

People=But we all do=have ONE WEAPON=that enough of us=Don’t use=

PRAYING to Our Holy Father God=FOR MERCY=Praying to our God

And our Jesus=for INTERCESSION for us=PRAYER IS MY=OUR BEST WEAPON!=

“……..Whatever you did for ONE=of these least BROTHERS of mine=You

DID FOR ME”                                                                                                                                                Matthew 25:40

 

GOT THAT GUYS!=When you PRAY=for someone else=You are TOUCHING

GOD’S HEART TOO=You are touching=the HEART OF JESUS=and Prayer

Is something=EVERYONE of us=can do=No matter what OUR STATION in

Life is=PRAYER IS OUR BEST=My best weapon too

 

Saint Padre Pio said=”THE ROSARY=is THE WEAPON=for our times”=and

I do believe that=But I am going to=EXTEND that ONE STEP further=ANY kind

Of prayers=is The best weapon=ESPECIALLY INTERCESSORY PRAYERS for

Someone else=”In the same way=The SPIRIT helps us=in our weakness=We

Do not know=What we ought to PRAY for=but the Spirit himself INTERCEDES

For us=through wordless groans”                                                                                                       Romans 8:26

 

“Therefore he is able=to save completely=Those who come to God=Through

Him=because he always lives=TO INTERCEDE for them”                                                      Hebrews 7:25

 

I don’t know=WHO OR WHAT=Was on your PRAYING list for today=but I

Do know=that the HOLY FATHER GOD=and Jesus=hear every PRAYER=whether

They grant it or not=And so=When you PRAY=for someone else=God and Jesus

STAND WITH YOU=for them=that is INTERCESSORY PRAYER=and my brothers=

And sisters=It is OUR BEST WEAPON=sometimes=it is OUR ONLY WEAPON=

Because when we have nothing else=PRAYER IS=OUR BEST WEAPON!

 

There is=SO MUCH SUFFERING=in this world=We HEAR it every day=on the news=

The wars=the crimes=the domestic violence=That goes on=I pray for all of it=for

THIS world NEEDS HELP=and when you PRAY for someone else=You are doing

SOMETHING GOOD for them=SOMETIMES PRAYER IS OUR BEST=

OUR ONLY WEAPON!=”For though=we live in the world=We do not wage war=as

The world does=THE WEAPONS=we fight with=are NOT=the WEAPONS=of the

World”                                                                                                                                                            2 Corinthians 10:4

 

NO the weapons=We FIGHT with=are LOVE=KINDNESS=forgiveness=mercy=

AND PRAYER=The same weapons=that Jesus FOUGHT WITH=We are not Jesus=

But MAYBE=our  prayers CAN help someone=Or at least give someone=a BRIGHTER

Day today=A PRAYER for someone=is a good deed=for sometimes=PRAYER IS

MY=OUR BEST WEAPON!=Our only WEAPON OF LOVE=”HEAR MY PRAYER=Lord=

Listen to=My cry for MERCY”                                                                                                                       Psalm 86:6

 

“……..These I will bring=to my holy mountain=and give them joy in my house OF

PRAYER=Their burnt offerings and sacrifices=Will be ACCEPTED on my altar=for

My house=will be called=A HOUSE OF PRAYER=for all nations”                                                  Isaiah 56:7

 

And so my friends=SAY an INTERCESSORY PRAYER=for someone today=It may be=

The ONLY PRAYER=that they get=PRAYER IS MY/OUR BEST WEAPON=and sometimes

That is ALL WE GOT!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name of our EVER LOVING=ALWAYS LIVING=

FOREVER PRAYING=Holy Father God!

GOD NEVER LEAVES US!

 

Do you ever feel ABANDONED?

Do you ever FEEL

In a panic?

 

Maybe WHEN you lose your

Cell phone=your keys=

Or even your eyeglasses?  

 

Do you WONDER

Was it stolen?  Will you

EVER find it?

 

I usually PRAY to God and

Saint Anthony=to find it

To help me RELAX=

To feel COMPOSED

 

I would be LOST without my keys-

My cell phone-my glasses=

But I would be

EVEN MORE LOST

Without God and Jesus

 

“Have you seen him

Whom my HEART LOVES?”                                                        Song of Songs:3:3

 

In those mornings

Where I am LOST

In myself

 

WHERE I feel abandoned

And I ask myself

WHERE MY GOD IS=

The answer

Lies WITHIN MY OWN HEART

 

My God=NEVER ABANDONS ME

Sometimes he is

HIDING=in plain sight

 

We KNOW our God

NEVER ABANDONS US=and our ANSWER

Is in our own heart

In the LOVE OF GOD

 

Our God answers-

Our God responds=

GOD NEVER LEAVES US!

 

“He will RESPOND

To the prayer

Of the destitute

 

He will not-

Despise their plea”                                                                 Psalm 102:17

 

“’In that day=I WILL RESPOND’

Declares the Lord

 

‘I will RESPOND=to the skies

And they will RESPOND

To the earth’”                                                                          Hosea 2:21

 

There is NOTHING=and no one

In this world

That can steal

MY GOD from me

 

My LOVE for him

Is never ending=and even

More so=is

HIS LOVE FOR ME

His love is NEVER ENDING

 

GOD NEVER LEAVES US!

Never abandons us=it LIVES

In out hearts

 

He is NOT LIKE

Our keys-our glasses-

Our cell phones=

He is ALWAYS FOUND

INSIDE of our very own hearts

 

“If you seek him

He will be FOUND

By you”                                                                                          1 Chronicles 28:9

 

“Seek the Lord

While he may be FOUND=

Call on him

While he is near”                                                                        Isaiah 55:6

In the 20^th chapter

Of Saint Matthew’s Gospel

Jesus tells us the parable

Of a landowner hiring workers

 

He hires

Some workers in the morning

He hires

Some in mid-day

And he hires some

 Late in the day

 

When it comes time

For payment

He pays them

All the same wages

 

Is Jesus being unfair

What is Jesus

Trying to teach us

 

Jesus is NOT being unfair

Because he paid everyone

What he promised to pay them

 

I think here again

Jesus is trying to teach us

That God’s ways

Are NOT our ways

 

I think he is

Trying to teach us

That it makes no difference

When you come to God

As long as

YOU DO

Come to God

 

And I think Jesus

Is trying to teach us

That the payment

Is the same for us

No matter when we come to God

As long as

We do come to God

 

And the payment is

GOD’S UNDYING LOVE FOR US

The creation is PERFECT=Until man FOLLOWS Satan

The sins of Adam and Eve=RESULT in spiritual death=and leads to

FILLING the world with hate=violence=and disobedience=SIN PREVAILS

 

Until GOD==Uses a flood to Destroy mankind=EXCEPT

For the righteous Noah and his Family=SIN still sweeps the land

And the people=BUILD the huge tower of Babel=In defiance of God

 

But God NEVER stops loving us=and the last 39 chapters REVEAL

How God=Through the Family of Abraham=SAVES his people

Through FELLOWSHIP with him=The book closes with THE CHOSEN PEOPLE

There is a famous story

Where a philosopher---

I think it was Friedrich Nietzsche

 

He is speaking to

A group of Christians

He looks out at the audience and says

“I thought a Christian

Was supposed to be radiantly alive

Most of you look ½ dead”

 

When I am out in the world

I look around

And I have to tell you

I couldn’t agree more

 

Where did our hope go

 

When Jesus was tempted by the devil in the desert

Jesus answered,

 

“It is written

Man does not live by bread alone

But on every word

That comes from the mouth of God”                                         Matthew 4:4

 

God’s Word is alive

It is life

Is his Word alive in you

 

The devil tempted Jesus a second time,

Jesus answered,

 

“It is also written

Do not put your God to the test”                                              Matthew 4:7

 

What is testing you

Health matters

Financial matters

Broken relationships

Addictions

All of the above

 

Life is a constant battle

Between the spirit

And the desires of the flesh

 

Jesus was tempted

Still a third time by the devil

He answered,

 

“Away from me

For it is written

Worship the Lord your God only”                                                Matthew 4:8

 

RADIANTLY ALIVE!

 

How can we stay radiantly alive

In a world full of booby traps

Seemingly set up---to take us down

 

ONLY by reading the Bible

ONLY by praying without ceasing

ONLY by staying in touch with God

ONLY by having a personal relationship

With Our Lord and SAVIOR---JESUS CHRIST

 

It is a choice

 

We know the devil

Did ultimately win a battle

Did take CHRIST down---because of a betrayal

But the devil LOST the war

Because of JESUS’ connection to his Father

 

Where are you

In your personal relationship with God

Is God’s Word alive in you

 

Are you feeling

More dead than alive

 

If so---maybe just maybe

You are looking to find life

In the things of this world

 

“The Word of God

Is living and active---SHARPER

Than any double-edged sword”                                                 Hebrews 4:12

 

“To teach you

That man does not live on bread alone

But on every word

That comes from the mouth of God”                                   Deuteronomy 8:3

 

RADIANTLY ALIVE?

 

The choice is ours

An individual choice---a personal choice
