What is the WORST SIN=you have ever committed?=What are

ARE FORGIVEN=If you are truly SORRY=and we try NOT to sin again=and

Herod the GREAT=He wanted to ELIMINATE all possible rivals=PARTICULARLY

The Catholic Church=views these INNOCENT CHILDREN=as martyrs=and so

Do I=as I view all INNOCENT CHILDREN=who suffer in life and death=SUFFERING

For the Kingdom of the Holy Father God=and his SON Jesus Christ=”For whoever=

Wants to save their life=will lose it=But whoever LOSES THEIR LIFE=for me=

WILL save it”                                                                                                                                                          Luke 9:24

 

IN MY VIEW=Innocent children are SAINTS=Just like the adult saints=who

SUFFER=for the Kingdom of God=For JESUS SUFFERED for all of us too!=He was

HE IS=the SON of the Holy Father God=He lived and died for all of us=He is

THE PERFECT SACRIFICE!=for all of us!

“…….Then tell them=’it is THE PASSOVER SACRIFICE=to the Lord=who passed

Over=the hoses of the Israelites=In Egypt=and spared our homes=when he

Struck down the Egyptians’”                                                                                                                       Exodus 12:27

 

“My SACRIFICE=Oh God=is a broken spirit=a broken and contrite heart=

A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY

 

 

As children

We all liked fairy tales

Because they had

Happy endings

 

Did you ever

Hear the story

Of a woman

Who stopped at the scene of accident

To help out

Only to find outa

That the injured person was her daughter

 

Or the emergency surgeon

Who was dead tired

But forced himself to stay

To perform one last surgery

The patient

Turned out to be his son

 

Or the story of

A baby born in a stable

The story of a man

Who for 30 years did nothing

Then surrounded himself

With a cast of misfits

To teach the Word of God to

For three years

 

At the end

Of the story

We find out

That this man

Was the Son of God

 

In the XXVth chapter of Saint Matthew’s Gospel

The story is told

Of a King thanking the righteous

For clothing him

For giving him drink

And for giving him food

 

The righteous reply

Lord, when did we do this

And the King replied,

“I tell you the truth

Whatever you did for the least of my brothers

You did for me”

 

Dear Lord

We pray

For the grace

To see you in all others

And to respond with a kind heart

A loving smile

And a listening ear

 

And to

Look for no reward

Except

To continue to live in your love

A BIRTHDAY THOUGHT---THAT INNER YOU

 

Another year comes, another year goes

Has another year just passed us by

Or do we have something to show

 

If someone asked me tomorrow, I would say I know you

But then if I stop and think, I wonder if that is really true

I think about a long time ago

When you were younger and starting out on your own

I think about that inner you

About your hopes and dreams

I wonder if you had a plan

And if you knew who you were

And where to go, because it does seem

A person never gets anywhere

Without a special dream

 

I’ve listened to you talk and observed you in the things you do

But I always get around to thinking about that inner you

I wonder how you handled your trials and tribulations

And how you fought through those dreadful fears

When they were threatening that special dream

 

Perhaps there was a friend bringing you good cheer

Spurring you on a little to try to continue to care

Or lending you a shoulder to cry on

So you could shed your tears

 

I know this is your birthday

And I’m wishing you well my very own way

If someone asked me tomorrow, I would say I know you

And this is my way of getting you to think

Today=We HONOR=One of the ONLY WITNESSES of love=who

Was there=THROUGH Jesus’ life and death=Saint John=an

EYEWITNESS OF LOVE=we may NOT be eyewitnesses=but we

Are CALLED=to BE WITNESSES TOO=Modern day WITNESSES=of

Christ’s LOVE=and the Holy Father God’s LOVE=in today’s world

“……..What we HAVE SEEN=and heard=we PROCLAIM now to you……..”   1 John 1:3

 

John’s GOSPEL tells us=He was AN EYEWITNESS=to THE LOVE

Of Christ=and was there=AT THE COSS=we MAY NOT=have been

There=but we CAN=still be there=EMOTIONALLY and spiritually=and

WITNESS to Jesus’ love=IN this world+=John was an EYEWITNESS=for

Us all=but we are MODERN DAY WITNESSES TOO=to the LOVE OF

Christ and=the HOLY FATHER GOD

 

“ONE WITNESS=is not enough=to convict=Anyone accused of any crime=

Or offense=they have committed=A matter must be established=by the

Testimony of=two or three WITNESSES”                                                                             Deuteronomy 19:15

 

“But you will receive power=When the Holy Spirit comes to you=and

YOU will be MY WITNESSES=in Jerusalem=and in all Judea and Sanaria=

And to the ends=of the earth”                                                                                               Acts 1:8

 

“He himself(John the Baptist)=was not the light=He came=Only

AS A WITNESS=to the light”                                                                                                         John 1:8

 

That is right=MY DEAR FRIENDS=John the Baptist=was NOT the light=

JOHN THE APOSTLE=whom Jesus loved=was NOT the light=and NEITHER

Are we=WE are all to be WITNESSES=to the ONE TRUE LIGHT=Jesus

Christ=and the HOLY FATHER GOD=Saint John=was an EYEWITNESS=and

We are to BE WITNESSES too=and to TESTIFY

 

John the APOSTLE=was a LIVING WITNESS=for three years=to the

MIRACLES=Healings=Blessings=and parables=That Jesus made and did=and

He was with him=AT THE CROSS-In addition=to his GOSPEL=he wrote 3

Epistles=and the book of Revelation=He was an EYEWITNESS=to the cross=

TO JESUS’ PASSION and death=He testified to all of this=and we as

MODERN DAY APOSTLES=are to testify to it too!

 

“You study the Scriptures=Diligently because you think=that in them=you

Have ETERNAL LIFE=Theses are the very Scriptures=That TESTIFY about me=

Yet you refuse to come=to me to have life”                                                                                      John 5:39-40

 

“You know the commandments=’You shall not commit adultery=You

Shall not murder=You shall not steal=You shall not give FALSE TESTIMONY=

Honor your father and mother”                                                                                                           Luke 18:20

 

And John the APOSTLE=NEVER did lie=He told the TRUTH about Jesus-and

THE FATHER GOD=and love=IN ALL of the Sacred Scriptures=he wrote

Thousands of years ago

 

Yes YES=John was AN EYEWITNESS=to Jesus’ life=his passionate death=and

To THE Resurrection=and He took CARE of Mary=Jesus’ mother=the MOTHER

Of God=for the REST of her life=Until the Assumption

 

Yes=Saint John=was an eyewitness to LOVE=but we are too=and we are to BE

THE WITNESSES for Jesus Love=Because we have all the LIVING HOPE

That we need

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the NAME of our FOREVER LOVING and living Holy

TURNING 70 years young=ON JANUARY 19^th-2025

GOD’S GREATEST GIFT

 

 

The greatest gift that I ever received was the gift of life.  I don’t think that I began

To be conscious of that fact until I walked away from my first hospitalization, which

Began on my 22^nd birthday.

 

During the hospitalization, I was given 0 percent chance to survive.  Additionally,

Three of the next five years, I was in the hospital, in critical shape, in hospitalizations

That overlapped my birthday.  Add to that a lifetime of chronic illness and pain, and I

Began to see how precious that life was, and what a gift that it is.  And that it is not to

Be taken for granted.

 

I began a search for God, a search for God’s love, and a search to find God’s love in

All others.  Some of the things that I learned are; that the small things that happen in life

Are every bit as important as the big things.

 

The sending of a birthday card.  The receiving of a birthday card.  The phone call from

A friend to see how you are.  The phone call to a friend to see if there is anything that

You can do when they are facing tough times.  Holding a door for a stranger, giving up

your seat for someone on the bus.  These little ordinary things are just as important as the

big things.

 

I learned that little acts of kindness in life, both given and received, are very important.

I learned to see God in them.

 

And most of all, I learned that life, in whatever form, is God’s greatest gift.

An expert asks Jesus he question:

“Who is my neighbor?”

Jesus responds

With the parable

Of the “Good” Samaritan

 

A bunch of robbers

Beat up a man

And leave him

By the side of the road

 

The robbers philosophy

Is much like

The criminals in our world today

 

“What is yours is mine

And I shall take it”

 

A priest and Levite

Pass by

And keep on going

Their philosophy is much like

Most employers and employees

In today’s world

 

“What is mine is mine

And I shall keep it”

 

Then the Samaritan comes by

And stops and helps the poor man

His philosophy is

 

“What is mine is yours

And I shall share it”

 

So I ask myself

Who is your neighbor

What is your philosophy

Towards them

 

Who can we

Give a smile to

Who can we say

THE ABOVE biblical Scripture=Refers to the STONING of Stephen=

A Christian Saint=and THE FIRST CHRISTIAN MARTYR=who patterned

His life=After that of HIS HERO=Jesus Christ=You see=Stephen KNEW

From Jesus=That there is=ONLY ONE WAY=to TRIUMPH over evil=and

It was=it is=AND FOREVER WILL BE=THE LOVE OF=the Holy Father God=

You CAN=ONLY TRIUMPH=over evil=in this way!=THROUGH
GOD’S LOVE=JUSTICE=and forgiveness

 

“Your gates=will always stand open=-they will never be shut=day or night=

So that people may bring you=the wealth of the nations--------their

Kings led in TRIUMPHAL PROCESSION”                                                                                        Isaiah 60:11

 

“But thanks be to God=Who always leads us as captives=IN

CHRIST’S TRIUMPHAL PROCESSION=and uses us=to spread the aroma=

Of the knowledge of him everywhere”                                                                                   2 Corinthians 2:14

 

“And having disarmed the powers=and authorities=He made a public

Spectacle=of them=TRIMPHING over them by the cross”                                                Colossians 2:15

 

REMEMBER=the mob violence=of those after Jesus=the Mob cried

Out=”CRUCIFY HIM”=and our Saint Stephen today=Knew this too=He

Knew that=THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY=OVER EVIL=and that it was through

OUR GOD the Father’s PERFECT LOVE=Triumphing over evil=He knew it too

From Jesus Christ’s love

 

That is WHO=Saint Stephen was to be=He was to STAND TALL=In God’s

LOVE=justice and forgiveness=As he was being stoned=HE knew=LOVE
ALWAYS WINS=”But Stephen=full of the HOLY SPIRIT=Looked up to heaven=

And saw the glory of God=and Jesus=standing at the right hand of God”                             Acts 7:55

 

You see=Stephen KNEW=Through the LIFE of Christ=that LOVE TRIUMPHS=

OVER EVIL=There is ONLY ONE WAY=OVER EVIL=and it is THROUGH THE LOVE=

Of the Holy Father God=and his SON Jesus Christ=”Forgetting what is behind=and

Straining toward what is ahead=I press on=toward the goal==TO WIN THE PRIZE=

For which God=Has called me heavenward=In Christ Jesus”                                           Philippians 3:13-14

We LIVE in a DARK dark world=that seem to me=IS

Getting darker every day=but out of that darkness=some 2,000

Years ago=A LIGHT SHOWN THROUGH=The Light of our Loving God=

The NEVER ENDING=Everlasting=INFINITELY LOVING=always

Illuminating Light of God=Christmas Light=Christmas BLESSINGS

YEARNING FOR THE LIGHT!=”The people who walked in darkness=

Have seen A GREAT LIGHT”                                                                                                                Isiah 9:1

 

We live in a SECULAR WORLD=but we still are REMINDED of=The Light

Of Jesus=the LIGHT of the Holy Father God=In today’s world=ONE SUCH

REMINDER=is that FAMOUS CHRISTMAS TREE=of America=at the

New York Rockefeller Center=The first EVERGREEN=was ERUPTED

In 1931=and was just twenty feet tall=DECORATED only with

Cranberries and tin cans==and it did NOT GO UP=Until Christmas Eve

The tree today

 

IS 100 feet tall=with spectacular lights=and begins GLOWING around

Thanksgiving=Yet sometimes today=we miss=THE LIGHT OF GOD=of

The baby and LIFE of Jesus=IN THIS WORLD=YEARNING FOR THE LIGHT!=

And the TRUE Christmas Blessings=of the Holy Father God=and Jesus Christ

 

“You Lord=are my lamp=the Lord turns=My darkness=INTO LIGHT”                                   2 Samuel 22:29

 

“Your word is a lamp=for my feet=A LIGHT=On my path”                                              Psalm 119:105

 

“I will also make you=A LIGHT for the Gentiles=that my salvation may reach=

The ends of the earth”                                                                                                                          Isaiah 49:6

 

Our country=our world=is FULL OF DARKNESS=full of hatred=FULL

OF CRIME=but that FAMOUS CHRISTMAS TREE=is a SYMBOL of=God

The Holy Father=and his Son Jesus=We are just=YEARNING for THAT LIGHT!=

Reaching for the LIGHT OF GOD=and those CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS!=Oh how

We NEED the BRIGHT LIGHTS=and deep roots=of God and Jesus=the SON

This time of year=Just=YEARNING FOR THE LIGHT=of the HOLY FATHER GOD!

 

“The people living in darkness=have seen A GREAT LIGHT=on those living

In the land=of the shadow of death=A LIGHT HAS DAWNED”                                              Matthew 4:16

 

“For God who said’=’LET LIGHT=shine out of darkness’=made his light=

Shine in our hearts=to give us THE LIGHT-of the knowledge=Of God’s

Glory=Displayed=In the face of Christ”                                                                                          2 Corinthians 4:6

 

“This is the message=we have heard from him=and declare to you=

GOD IS LIGHT=and in him=there is no darkness at all”                                                           1 John 1:5

 

And so my dear friends=TODAY=this Christmas=this Christmas week=

And every day of the year=let us COUNT OUR BLESSINGS=for the

TRUE LIGHT OF THE WORLD=came on Christmas Day=He entered

HUMAN HISTORY=and is a LIGHT for us=No matter what is going on

In our lives=and in this world=THE LIGHT OF GOD=Is here to stay=

YEARNING=FOR THAT CHRISTMAS LIGHT OF HOPE=and Christmas

Blessings!

 

The Light of God=The LIGHT OF Jesus=lives in you and me=The Light

Of HOPE lives on=in us=and in every Christmas tree=MERRY CHRISTMAS!

PATIENCE IS EVERYTHING

 

 

You say you can have success

You say you can be the best

But they are only words

Until you do it

Until you prove it

Until you pass the most severe test

 

You know you want it all

You know you want it now

But patience is the key

Patience is everything

And sometimes if you wait

If you stick it out awhile                                                                                     

The success you have planned

It’ll come-but not right now

 

All the time you’re waiting

Your inner juices are burning

Burning like a raging fire

Burning with uncontrollable desire

 

There’s only one thing standing in your way

You need another chance

And your life will be enhanced

You know you got to prove it

And with another chance

You know you’re going to dance

 

When you’ve been healthy you’ve always been the best

And with another opportunity

You know you won’t be anything less

 

But the days come and the days go

Nothing changes

And you struggle and fight

To keep those priorities from rearranging

But you still don’t know

If that chance will ever come

And with each passing day

The insecurity gets deeper

And you carry it to bed with you far into every night

 

You keep telling yourself patience is the key

You keep telling yourself patience is everything

You wonder how long you can remain ready

You wonder if your chance will ever come

You wonder how long you can maintain your burning desires

And if with time

Your hope and dreams won’t succumb

 

You know you were once the best

You know if you were right

You wouldn’t be anything less

 

But can you remain patient

Can you remain calm

Can you just pass the time

Can you weather the storm

 

If you really want to prove it

If you really want to do it

You’ll have to remain patient

Because patience is the key

Patience-is everything

Ps               Galatians tells us that PATIENCE is one of the FRUITS of the SPIRIT

 

                   But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, PATIENCE, kindness, goodness,

                   Faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control  (  Galatians 5:22 )

 

                   SURRENDERING to God is the only way to truly find yourself---at least it

                   Was for me---as long as I kept trying to live life by my own agenda---it just

                   Wasn’t working

NOT SO EASY=IF YOU ARE ME=to make 70 years

 

 

 

 

 

 

NOT SO EASY=IF YOU ARE ME

(To make 70 YEARS)

 

Psalm 90=tells us=GOD GIVES US 70 years=80

IF YOU ARE STRONG=”Our days may COME to 70 years=or eighty

If our strength ENDURES”                                                                                                                         Psalm 90:10

 

To MANY of you=this is a PIECE OF CAKE-You will make 80-90=

MAYBE EVEN 100 years=but to MAKE SEVENTY=has not been so EASY

For me=But I will take it=ONE DAY AT A TIME=for each day=is a

CHALLENGE for me=and many of us=ARE NOT BLESSED AT ALL

Dying young=That could have happened to me too=But God KEPT ME

Alive for some REASON=NOT SO EASY=IF YOU ARE ME=”For my yoke-

IS EASY=and my burden=is LIGHT”                                                                                                     Matthew 11:30

 

So my FRIENDS=if you are LOVED ENOUGH=to be enjoying ANOTHER

Year of life this year=No matter how old you are=going to be=GIVE THANKS

To the Lord=for NOTHING IS GUARANTEED=in this life=ME=I am going to be

70 years YOUNG=On January 19^th=5:27-28AM= I THINK=Giving THANKS to

The Lord=and I am going to ENJOY this day=THIS PRECIOUS DAY with the Lord=

For ANOTHER DAY=with the HOLY FATHER GOD=and All of you my dear brothers

And sisters=as well as our EVER LIVING Jesus

 

“……..so that you=Your children=and their children after them=May fear

The Lord your God=as long as you LIVE=by keeping all the decrees and

Commands =that I give you=and so that you MAY ENJOY LONG LIFE”                        Deuteronomy 6:2

 

“……..so that=it may go well with you=and that you MAY ENJOY=

LONG LIFE=on the earth”                                                                                                                           Ephesians 6:3

 

“He chose to be mistreated=Along with the people of God=Rather than

TO ENJOY=the fleeting pleasures of sin”                                                                                    Hebrews 11:25

 

And so MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS=I HOPE you all are=

GOING TO ENJOY= a long life of 70 years or MORE=and ACCOMPLISH

A lot=for it has been=“NOT SO EASY=FOR ME”!=”……..so is my word=That

Goes out from my mouth==It will not return to me empty=BUT WILL ACCOMPLISH

What I desire and achieve=THE PURPOSE=for which I sent it”                                                 Isaiah 55:11

 

You see=I SURVIVED the last rights=WHEN I was 22=due to gangrene=

Peritonitis(3 times that year)=gram negative septicemia=and a BLOOD COUNT

That went down to three=and GOD REWARDED ME=with more life=MORE LIFE

Than I ever EXPECTED TO SEE

 

So I SALUTE you all=for another year=OF LIFE this year=and will KEEP you all

IN MY PRAYERS=That I=that you=can keep on going=and that I FOREVER=

REMEMBER MY DEATH BED PROMISE=”TO LIVE=for my family=my friends=and

FOR ALL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE”=for it has been=NOT SO EASY FOR ME
