NEVER LEFT ALONE!

NEVER LEFT ALONE


Throughout his life on
This earth=he=JESUS=was
NEVER LEFT ALONE


He-CONSTANTLY-had his Father
With him=and so=
We are NEVER ALONE EITHER


We have the Father=and
Jesus-constantly WITH US


“The ONE who sent me
Is with me
He has


NOT left me alone=
Because I ALWAYS do
What is PLEASING
To him” John 8:28-30


And we are
NEVER LEFT ALONE either=
No matter what
We are facing
No matter what


TRIALS we are
Having to go through


Jesus was DEPENDENT
On the Father=his authority=
His power=and the LIFE
Of his teachings were
BESTOWED on him
By the Father


“For the LORD
Is a sun
And shield


The Lord BESTOWS
Favor and honor=
No good thing


Does he withhold
From those=
Whose walk is blameless” Psalm 84:11


We too must wake up=
We too must UNDERSTAND
That Jesus and HIS FATHER
Are constantly walking with us


The LOVE OF God
Is within us=
ENCOURAGING US


And we should open up
Our hearts to God
And Jesus


This relationship allows us
To LIVE FOR GOD
And to live
For others


EXPERIENCES in life
May allow us to
Feel isolated=but we
Are NEVER left alone


We SHARE in the life and love
Of Jesus=and of
His FATHER=
NEVER LEFT ALONE


“His master replied=
'Well done
Good and faithful servant!


You have been faithful
With a few things


I will put you
In charge of many things
Come and SHARE
Your master's happiness'” Matthew 25:21


“Nevertheless=the one
Who receives instruction
In the word


Should SHARE all good things
With their instructor” Galatians 6:6


“And do not forget
To do good
And to SHARE
With others


For with such sacrifice
GOD IS PLEASED” Hebrews 13:16


God and Jesus' love
For us=leads us from
A life of self-sufficiency


To a point of being
DEPENDENT on God and SHARING
Our life and love with our NEIGHBOR


So much so=that
We even LAY DOWN our lives
For our neighbor


NEVER LEFT ALONE

JUST ASK




Do you have CONFIDENCE
In God


Do you BELIEVE
That he will do
Whatever you ask of him


My answer is YES
And YES


Yes because I asked him
For something once
And yes
Because I promised him
Something once


What I asked for
Was life
WHEN I was on my deathbed
When I was 22


And God
Has DELIVERED me
From harm's way
That time-and over
And over and over again


He has
KEPT me alive


“I am he
That lives
And was dead
And behold


I am alive forevermore-amen
And have the KEYS
Of hell and of death” Revelations 1:18


And what I promised
Was to live for others-
“FOR my family-my friends-and
ALL people everywhere”


And I have done my best
To do so


I believe God and Christ
Have kept me alive
To do just that
To KEEP MY PROMISE


And TRY to be an aide
A HELP to others
In order
That I may help them
KEEP their faith too


“WHEN GOD
Made his promise to Abraham
Since there was no one greater
For him to swear by
He swore by himself
Saying-'I will surely bless you
And give you many descendants'


And after waiting patiently
Abraham RECEIVED
What was promised” Hebrews 6:13-14


God always
KEEPS HIS PROMISES


So if you
NEED something from God
JUST ASK


But before you promise
Something in return
BE CAREFUL of your intention
Because will EXPECT YOU
To keep your promise


“ASK of me
And I will
Make the nations
Your inheritance


The ends of the earth
Your possession” Psalm 2:8


JUST ASK


“So I say to you
'Ask and it will be
Given to you


SEEK and you will find
Knock and the door
Will be opened to you


For everyone who asks-receives
He who seeks-finds
And to him
Who knocks

Have you BEEN AWAY
From God
Or the church
For a long time


Do you want
To come back


I ASSURE YOU
God will be WAITING
For you


Just as the Father
Was waiting
For his “PRODIGAL SON”


OUR GOD
Will be waiting

REMEMBERING THE SHEPHERD=EACH DAY!

REMEMBERING THE SHEPHERD=EACH DAY!


The SABBATH DAY has
BECOME full of activity=
It has become a DAY


FULL of kids' activities=
Sporting events=and all KINDS
Of work


I can REMEMBER=when I was
YOUNG=that Sunday was a day
Of REST=it was even a day
When all the stores
Would close=or close up early


“The Lord is my shepherd=
I shall not want
In verdant pastures


He gives me repose
Beside RESTFUL waters
He leads me


He REFRESHES my soul” Psalm 23:1-3


REMEMBERING THE SHEPHERD=
Each day=especially
ON the Sabbath day


We push ourselves
To the point
Of exhaustion=to the point
Where it takes its TOLL
On us=and all those around us
Particularly our FAMILIES


We need to take
SOME TIME out for REST-
Particularly on SUNDAY


We need to REMEMBER
The SHEPHERD=take some time out
For REST=and let the Lord
LEAD US


“From the ends
Of the earth
I call to you


I call as
My heart grows faint


LEAD me to the rock
That is higher
Than I” Psalm 61:2


“I instruct you
In the way
Of wisdom


And LEAD YOU
Along straight paths” Proverbs 4:11


“Dear children-
Do not let anyone
LEAD you astray


The one who does
What is right
Is righteous


Just as he is righteous” 1 John 3:7


When we take TIME
To rest each day
But particularly on
The SABBATH DAY


The Lord
RESTORES our souls


He restores us when we PRAY=
When we take some tine
EACH DAY-
To offer it
UP to the Lord


We need to make it=
A POINT=each day=
And pause=
And REMEMBER THE SHEPHERD


We need to stop=PAUSE
And REMEMBER the LORD
Each and every day


“I thank my GOD=
Every time
I REMEMBER you” Philippians 1:3


Let us remind ourselves
EACH and every day


And particularly-
On the Sabbath day
To stop=pause=
And REMEMBER THE LORD


Let us take ONE intentional
Break each day=every day
To Remember the LORD


And RESTORE our souls

WORRYING MAKES YOU MISERABLE

WORRYING MAKES YOU MISERABLE


HEALTH can be a MAJOR worry
And it has been for me
OVER the years


You can worry about
What your Primary CARE Physician says
Or what your gastro specialist says


Or your blood pressure
Or what exercises you
ARE going to do
Today and tomorrow


But the TRUTH IS:
You have LITTLE control over it
Other than eating right-
Exercising-and taking your medications


I found out the hard way
ALL you can do is
TRUST GOD and let it go


He has a PLAN for you-
For everyone of us-
And it is GOOD-
If you work with him


“CAN any of you
Add a single moment
To your life-span?” Matthew 6:27


Hardly-
Worrying is more likely
To TAKE TIME from your life-span
And just leave you FEELING MISERABLE


And it doesn't give
You ANY more control over
Any such matters


Worrying-or obsessive thinking
Causes TROUBLE
For all of us


It is a REFLEX-or-
Learned behavior-and even IF something
Bad does happen-worrying
CONTROLS NOTHING
And leaves us feeling miserable

Do NOT worry about
What to say
Or how to say it


At that time
You will be given
What to say


For it will not be you-
Speaking-but the SPIRIT
Of your Father-
Speaking through you” Matthew 10:19-20


Worrying DOES make us miserable
And it does us NO GOOD
It diminishes our enjoyment
Of simple things in life like:
Sparrows-flowers-crystal blue ocean water-
And nature


BUT when we ALLOW GOD'S SPIRIT
To speak through us in:
“Joy-gentleness-goodness-kindness-love-
Faithfulness-patience-peace- and Self-control”


We find ENJOYMENT-in-
The SIMPLE things of life


We learn to TRUST GOD
And let worry go


“Some trust in chariots
And some trust in horses


But WE TRUST
In the name of
The LORD OUR GOD” Psalm 20:7


“TRUST in the Lord
With all your HEART
And lean not
On your own understanding” Proverbs 3:5


YES!-do the BEST
That you can do-and-
LET GO of all worry


It makes you miserable-and
Adds nothing to your life


Jesus INVITES you
LET GO & LET GOD


Let us
GIVE IT A TRY TODAY

THE DIVINE=FINDING REAL LASTING JOY


Did you ever NOTICE
That there is a
CONSTANT struggle
In life ?


A struggle between the
WORLDLY and a struggle
Between the DIVINE


As we REACH the
End of Lent=
Let us CONSIDER how close
We have come to God
And to Jesus-THIS LENT


We start out with enthusiasm
And determination=ONLY to have
WORLDLY VALUES infringing in on us


“For his sake=I have ACCEPTED
The LOSS of all things


And I consider them
So much rubbish........” Philippians 3:8


Our peace lies in Jesus
Our peace
Lies in the DIVINE


LENT is an OPPORTUNITY
To live a DIVINE LIFE=
To live Jesus' life=in
Some small way


It is a
TOUGH PATH to follow-
It is hard
To keep on living
The godly=the DIVINE WAY


“For since
The creation of the world
God's individual qualities--------


His eternal power and
DIVINE NATURE
Have been clearly seen
Being understood


From what has been made
So that people
Are without excuse” Romans 1:20


“The weapons
We fight with
Are NOT the weapons
Of this world


On the contrary
They have DIVINE POWER
To demolish strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:4


It is EASY to get
Caught up in
WORLDLY PLEASURES


Alcohol-drugs-sex-MATERIALISM
Are all enticing=
All have their attractiveness


BUT the things of this world
DO NOT LAST=but the things
Of the DIVINE=the
Things of the SPIRIT=
Have long-lasting JOY


Paul found out that JOY
Comes from the Spirit


Let us all take COURAGE
From Paul's honesty
That the LASTING JOY
Comes from the Spirit


Let us EMBRACE THE DIVINE-
Like Saint Paul=let us FIND
JOY in the things that LAST FOREVER


“For his anger
LASTS only a moment


But his favor
LASTS a lifetime-
Weeping may stay


For the night
But rejoicing
COMES in the morning” Psalm 30:5


“And if
What was transitory
Came with glory


How much greater
Is the glory of
That which LASTS!” 2 Corinthians 3:11


Dear Lord=Jesus=
As we come towards the
ENDING OF LENT


As we CONTINUE to fight
The battles of the WORLD
Help us to REMEMBER that
It is the DIVINE=that it is
The things of the SPIRIT that LASTS


And that it is you=LORD JESUS=
Is all that we NEED

IF YOU BUILD IT


In a famous movie, “Field of Dreams”
A famous line is uttered
“If you build it
They will come”


And in the end
They did come
The cars lined up
For miles and miles
To see a little baseball field
In a corn field
In the middle of nowhere


To borrow a line
From Martin Luther King---God rest his soul
“I have a dream”


To build
A CITY OF GOD
Actually
To build a world for God


To live in a world
Based on God’s values
Not the values
Of this world


If we build it
They will come


Sister Faustina
Received a vision from an angel
Sent by God
An angel---sent to destroy a certain city


Sister Faustina
Began to pray for this city
Began to pray for mercy for it


But her prayers were powerless
And the angel was set on
Carrying out the orders
Given to him by God


Sister Faustina
Continued to pray
“Have mercy on us
And on the whole world”


God and the angel were so moved
That this city was spared


If you build it
They will come


Building the city of God


I have a dream
Of Catholics and Jews
Muslims and Buddhists
All Christian religions
And ALL other religions
Standing together
Under God---one God
WHOSE NAME IS LOVE


I have a dream
Building the city of God


“The wolf will live with the lamb
The leopard will lie down with the goat
The calf and the lion
And the yearling together
And a little child
Will lead them” Isaiah 11:6


Major cities today
In our country
So much killing---so much violence
So much materialism---so much greed
So much lust
And rampant sexuality


Then Abraham said again,
“May the Lord not be angry
But just let me speak once more
What if
Only ten can be found?”


God answered,
“For the sake of ten
I will not destroy it” Genesis 18:32


I am sure
That there are at least 10
God loving---God fearing people
In each of our major cities


So we can rest assured
That God
Is not going to destroy us


But we have to
Quit destroying ourselves
And return to our God
The God whose name is LOVE


“You are The Light of World
A city on a hill
Cannot be hidden”


Let us
Return our cities to God


Let us return our cities to love


Catholics and ALL Christian religions
Jew, Muslim, Buddhist
Every religion---every nationality---every race
Standing firm
On the PROMISES OF GOD


IF YOU BUILD IT
THEY WILL COME

WILL JUSTICE EVER COME?

WILL JUSTICE EVER COME?


We all have injustices
In our LIFE? Things that
Seem like=they will NEVER
Be right=as long
As we may live


And with the 24 hour NEWS CYCLE
Ever spinning=all we have to
Do=is TURN our televisions or
Computers on=


And we receive a RECORD of
All the INJUSTICES-
All over the world


WILL JUSTICE EVER COME?


“But you=O Lord of hosts=
O just Judge
Searcher of mind and heart


Let me witness
The VENGEANCE
You take on them


For to you
I have-
ENTRUSTED my cause” Jeremiah 11:20


Jeremiah is known
As the PROPHET OF TEARS=
His sorrow is real-
His sorrow is RELATABLE


Maybe you feel like Jeremiah
Maybe you DESIRE to see
GOD'S VENGEANCE
Shown to the evildoers


Nevertheless=Jeremiah the prophet
TRUSTS God=
He entrusts justice to God=
For he knows that God
Is the SEARCHER of minds
The searcher of hearts


WILL JUSTICE=will the JUSTICE
Of God= will right and wrong
EVER come to this world?


“The Lord is known
By his acts of JUSTICE=
The wicked


Are ensnared
By the work
Of their hands” Psalm 9:16


“When JUSTICE is done
It brings joy
To the righteous


But terror to evildoers” Proverbs 21:15


“He will be
A spirit of JUSTICE
To the one
Who sits in judgment” Isaiah 28:6


GOD'S JUSTICE doesn't look
Like our justice=the way
That we see it


The vengeance of God is
The OPPOSITE of human justice


Our God=Our Jesus=himself
BECOMES the lamb-
That is led to be
The sacrifice


He gives himself=
He extends himself
FOR his people


He himself comes in
The form of
Forgiveness=mercy=peace=and JUSTICE


WILL JUSTICE EVER COME?
Yes it has already come-
In the form of Jesus
And his mercy=
And it will=JUSTICE will
Continue to come
Each time=we EXTEND
Mercy and forgiveness to one another


“Blessed are the MERCIFUL
For they will
Be shown MERCY” Matthew 5:7


“Be MERCIFUL
To those who doubt.......” Jude :22


Yes=God has already
SENT JUSTICE in the form
Of Jesus


And he sends it again
EACH TIME=we are merciful=
To someone else=
In our hearts=in our minds=and
IN OUR SOULS


In Jesus' name=and in the name of our Father=who is FULL of loving-compassionate-merciful
JUSTICE
