THANKFUL FOR IT ALL!

THANKFUL FOR IT ALL!

We are approaching that time
Again=THANKSGIVING=when it is
Time to EXPRESS GRATITUDE

But for me=EVERY DAY is
A day to GIVE THANKS to God
For my life
And for all the BLESSINGS
That I have

“Ten were cleansed
Were they not?

WHERE are
The other nine?” Luke 17:17

STUDIES teach us
That a regular practice
Of GRATITUDE-
Makes us happier

And my OWN experiences teaches me
That as well=
We should pause
At the END of each day

And identify and GIVE THANKS
For the BLESSINGS
That we have

Giving THANKS to God
GIVING THANKS FOR IT ALL!

“I will GIVE THANKS
To the Lord
Because of his righteousness

I will sing
The praises of the name

Of the Lord MOST HIGH” Psalm 7:17

“But THANKS
Be to God

He gives us the VICTORY
Through our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 15:57

“Whenever the living creatures
Give glory=
Honor=and THANKS TO HIM

Who sits on the throne
And who LIVES
Forever and ever.......” Revelation 4:9

There is ALWAYS something
To be TANKFUL for=
Even though our lives
Are NOT perfect

At ANY given moment
We are=or can be
Dealing with

Disappointment=pain=or loss
Bur no matter
What we are dealing with

There are countless other things
That we HAVE BEEN SPARED

So MANY BLESSINGS to
Be thankful for=life itself=
Food=and a roof over our head

THANKING GOD FOR IT ALL!
Living in gratitude

“AND BE THANKFUL!
Let the message of Christ
Dwell among you richly

As you teach=
And admonish one another

With all wisdom
Through psalms=hymns=
And songs from the Spirit

Singing to God
WITH GRATITUDE=in our hearts” Colossians 3:15-16

So take the TIME
This THANKSGIVING SEASON
To go back to God
And be
THANKFUL for IT ALL!

Just like the leper
Who went back
And thanked JESUS

THANK GOD for your GRACES=
And your blessings
Both large and small

IT IS GOING TO BE OKAY

IT IS GOING TO BE OKAY

Have you ever been
BROKEN BY LIFE? Has life
Ever left you BROKENHEARTED?

It is going to be OKAY=
God does his BEST WORK
With the BROKENHEARTED

“The Lord is CLOSE
To the brokenhearted=

And those who are
Crushed in spirit=
He SAVES” Psalm 34:19

I have FELT the power of
God and his PRESENCE=
At my lowest points
In my life=
That is why I feel

CONFIDENT in telling you this=
IF you are going
Through a ROUGH STRETCH-
It is going TO BE OK

God is with you
At all times=particularly
When you feel down=
That is WHEN you feel
GOD'S POWER

“For he never thought
Of doing a kindness

But hounded to
Death the poor
And the needy
And the BROKENHEARTED” Psalm 109:16

“The SPIRIT of the
Sovereign Lord=is on me
Because the Lord
Has anointed me

To proclaim good news
To the poor=
He has sent me
To bind up
The BROKENHEARTED

To proclaim freedom
For the captives
And release darkness
For the prisoners” Isaiah 61:1

WHATEVER you are going through
No matter how tough
Things are

The LORD is with you
He does his BEST WORK
With the brokenhearted

Apart from God
We can do nothing=
He is my=he is
YOUR SOURCE for everything

FEEL the great
And AWESOME POWER of God

“His wisdom is profound
His POWER is vast

Who has resisted him
And come out unscathed?” Job 9:4

“One thing God has spoken
Two things
I have heard

'POWER belongs to you God'” Psalm 62:11

“For I am
Not ashamed of the gospel

Because of it is
The POWER OF GOD
That brings salvation
To everyone

First to the Jew-
Then to the Gentile” Romans 1:16

I feel GOD'S MIGHTY HAND
Reaching down to
Pull me up and guide me

IF you are brokenhearted
Or CRUSHED IN SPIRIT=
Please know
It is going
TO BE OK=
GOD IS CLOSE!

He is seeing=
He is saving=
It is GOING
To be OKAY!

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of God=our ever ALL POWERFUL FATHER!

It’s gotten a bit frayed now
Its cotton culler’s faded see,
Aroun’ the edges, ah, well
Guess it’s a lot like me.

It’s been in the dooryard nigh’ on
Four generations, Lord knows,
Attached to the Ole Pole awavin’
Any way the wind blows.

The Ole’ Flag can still bring on
A glow of emotion, a sigh
When it snaps to an’ stretches out
Like cloth pinned to the sky.

Its culler’s once were carried with pride
Aroun’ the world just ‘bout everywhere
In theatres of war where heroes died
So that others would breathe free air.

I’ve seen it in the sunrise
Sil’vry dew hung on the bars,
An’ against the golden sunset
That bursts into blindin’ stars.

The Ole’ Flag, how proud it flies
Yet half-mast would befit it best,
When this last ol’e soldier dies
An’ goes to his LONG rest

TRY TO SHINE YOUR LIGHT=ON THIS WORLD

TRY TO SHINE YOUR LIGHT=ON THIS WORLD

In these days-
We need to FOCUS
On the MERCY OF GOD!

In fact=the GOSPEL SAYS=
We are to FORGIVE a person-
Who wrongs us=
UP to seven times a day

“Even if they SIN
Against you-
SEVEN times a day

And SEVEN times
Come back
To you saying

'I repent=you must FORGIVE THEM'” Luke 17:4

That is GOD'S MERCY=
That is the way
The FATHER WORKS

Forgive and try to SHINE
Your FORGIVING LIGHT
On this world

But don't ever-ever
UNDERESTIMATE THE DAMAGE
Caused by sin

ONE such example
Is the CATHOLIC CHURCH
Abuse controversy

Jesus said that that person
Would be BETTER OFF
With a millstone around
His neck=and thrown
Into the sea

“It would be BETTER
OFF=for them
To be thrown-
Into the sea

With a millstone
Around his neck

Than to cause
One of these little ones
To stumble=
SO WATCH YOURSELVES!” Luke 17:2

The sexual abuse scandal
Has ILLUMINATED real damage
For many people

GOD'S MERCY and forgiveness
Are always available=but it does not alleviate
The lifelong damage to the
VICTIMS and their families

So whatever our sins are=it does
NOT UNDERESTIMATE=the possible effects sin
Has on others-and OURSELVES

So let us=when called UPON=
TRY to SHINE our light=
In the world for those
FEELING THE PAIN

“May God
Be gracious to us
And bless us

And make his face
SHINE ON US--------” Psalm 67:1

“Arise=SHINE
For your light
Has come

And the glory
Of the Lord
Rises upon you” Isaiah 60:1

“Wake up sleeper=
Rise from the dead
And CHRIST-
Will SHINE ON YOU” Ephesians 5:14

My dear FRIENDS=
SIN is an awful thing=
It really shakes up
The LIVES of others

LIVE WITH MERCY=and try to SHINE
Your LIGHT on this world
And bring good things about

In the names of Jesus=and our all MERCIFUL-FORGIVING FATHER!

BRINGING ABOUT THE KINGDOM

BRINGING ABOUT THE KINGDOM

As CHRISTIANS=it is our duty
To BRING about
The KINGDOM of God
As best=as we can

Winston Churchill once said=
“Fear is a reaction-
COURAGE is a DECISION”

And our decision should be
To live the WORD OF GOD
As best as we can=
That is
WHAT GOOD CHRISTIANS DO

“It is my choice
To die
At the hands
Of men

With the HOPE GOD GIVES
Of being raised up
By him” 2 Maccabees 7:14

These brothers had COURAGE
Along with a HOPE
And a deep FAITH
IN GOD

And that is what
We need=HOPE and DEEP FAITH
In God
To live the WORD=
To bring about
THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Courage=hope=and FAITH
What a formidable combination
When we COMBINE them
In ourselves

To try and BRING
About the KINGDOM
During this life

“They tell
Of the glory
Of your KINGDOM

And speak
Of your might” Psalm 145:11

“How great
Are his signs
How mighty his wonders

His KINGDOM
Is an everlasting KINGDOM
His dominion endures
From generation to generation” Daniel 4:3

In today's world
VERY FEW of us
Will have to die
For the kingdom

But GOD is CALLING
On us
To LIVE for the KINGDOM
To build up a world
That seems to be
LOSING a little more
Each day

It is UP TO US
To live with COURAGE=
HOPE=and FAITH
And help bring about
A KINGDOM
Of RENEWED faith

“Jesus replied=
'Very truly-I tell you

No one can see
The KINGDOM of God
Unless they are BORN AGAIN” John 3:3

“For the KINGDOM of GOD
Is not a matter
Of eating and drinking

But of righteousness-
Peace and joy
In the HOLY SPIRIT

Because anyone who serves CHRIST
In this way
Is pleasing to God
And receives human approval” Romans 14:17-18

We all have DIFFERENT GIFTS
In this world=we just ALL
Need to use them
In BRINGING ABOUT
THE KINGDOM OF GOD

In Jesus' name=and in the name of our KINGDOM LIVING FATHER!

WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD

WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD

I am sure you
Have heard it said
“OUR bodies are our temples”

That makes our bodies
The TEMPLE OF GOD

“Do you not know
That you are
The TEMPLE OF GOD

And that the SPIRIT
Of Go
Dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16

The truth is
I HAVEN'T always
Treated my body
Like my temple

I am sure that
You haven't always either
But we SHOULD=
The Spirit of God
Really dose dwell INSIDE
Of us

“One thing-
I ask
From the Lord
This only do I seek

That I may DWELL
In the house of the Lord
All the days
Of my life

To gaze on
The beauty of the Lord
And to seek him
IN HIS TEMPLE” Psalm 27:4

I think about ALL the
EXPERIENCES=that I have had
And the people that I have met
In my life

Much=MOST of them REVOLVE
Around MASS=around churches
And even TEMPLES

My body is MY TEMPLE=
We the people are=
Indeed the TEMPLE=the
CHURCH OF GOD

“The Lord
Is in his HOLY TEMPLE

Let all the earth
Be silent-before him” Habakkuk 2:20

“For we are
The TEMPLE of the living God=
As God has said=

'I will live
With them
And walk among them

And I will be
Their God
And they will be
My people'” 2 Corinthians 6:16

Yes we are=our bodies
Are=the LIVING TEMPLES
Of God

MANY of my family experiences=
Have EVOLVED
Around the CATHOLIC CHURCH

Almost all of MY FRIENDS
Are from one church experience
Or another

EACH PLACE that I have been=
I have CELEBRATED images of God=
And Jesus=with the people
I LOVE these people=of ALL
The different FAITHS

Dear LORD=help me
To REVERENCE every place
That I go to today

And DETECT YOUR PRESENCE
In every person
That I meet

For we ALL ARE
THE TEMPLES of the LIVING GOD

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LIVING FATHER!
