THE LORD WILL HEAR US!

 

THE LORD WILL HEAR US!

Do you BELIEVE

GOD HEARS PRAYERS?

That God hears

The CRY of the poor?

I DO!=I believe he does

And his ANSWERS are

Yes=no=and NOT RIGHT NOW=

But he hears everything-

We offer up to him

“The Lord confronts

The evildoers

To destroy remembrance of them

From the earth=

When the just cry out

The LORD HEARS THEM

And from all their distress

He rescues them” Psalm 34:17-18

Even though-

We might not think it=

The Lord does

Hear our cries

He knows

All of the INJUSTICES

We encounter in this life

The Lord

WILL HEAR US!

“HEAR O Israel

The Lord our God

The Lord is ONE” Deuteronomy 6:4

“........if my people

Who have called me

By name

Will humble themselves

And pray=and seek my face

And turn

From their wicked ways=

Then I will

HEAR FROM HEAVEN

And I will forgive

Their sin

And will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14

“Whoever has ears

LET THEM HEAR” Matthew 11:15

The Lord has ears=

He HEARS

All of our pleas and cries

And he hears everything

We offer up to him

WHEN we are striving

To live as whole-hearted

Disciples of God

Sometimes we are even

ASKED to die for our FAITH=

Or LIVE for our faith

And bear WITNESS

To the truth

Of God and Jesus

Sometimes we are

Ridiculed or criticized

For our faith=but we

Have to HOLD FAST

To our Christian principles

We have to HEAR

And respond to others

Just like our God and Jesus

Respond to=and HEAR OUR PRAYERS

The God who hears us=

The Lord who ANSWERS PRAYERS

The Lord who LOVES us all

“Very truly I tell you-

Whoever HEARS MY WORD

And believes him

Who sent me

Has eternal life

And will not be judged=

But has crossed over

From death to life” John 5:24

We WILL BE HEARD

We will be rescued=

We will live forever

In Christ Jesus

So live FOREVER in God=

He is the God=THE LORD

WHO HEARS US!

In the names of Jesus=and our ALWAYS LISTENING FATHER

LIVING WITH A SINCERE HEART

 

WITH A SINCERE HEART

One of the BEST COMPLIMENTS=

I ever received=

Was from a local PASTOR=

A number of years ago

He said to me=

“You are the MOST SINCERE person

I have ever met”

What a great compliment=after all

Who had a more sincere heart

Than Jesus=NO ONE

He always did

What he said

''By what authority

Are you doing these things?” Matthew 21:23

The RELIGIOUS=at the time

Of Jesus=looked down

Upon him

In today's GOSPEL=

The chief priest and leaders

TRY to put Jesus

In a corner

But Jesus TURNED the tables

On them=and puts them

On the SPOT

Their question-

Was a TRAP=

But they were the ones

CAUGHT in it

You just can't trap Jesus=

He lives with a SINCERE HEART

“Love must be SINCERE=

Hate what is evil-

Cling to what is good

Be devoted

To ONE ANOTHER in love=

Honor one another=above yourselves” Romans 12:9

“........let us draw near to God

WITH A SINCERE HEART

And with the full assurance

That faith brings

Having our hearts sprinkled

To cleanse us

From a guilty conscience

And having our bodies washed

With pure water” Hebrews 10:20

The religious of Jesus' day

WERE BLIND-

To the heavenly source

Of the teachings

Of both John and Jesus

Jesus tells them

That BOTH tax collectors

And prostitutes

Have RESPONDED to the

Call of God=much BEFORE

The learned and the powerful

Being clean=and living

With a SINCERE HEART=

BEING HONEST

“Create in me

A pure HEART=oh God

And renew a steadfast spirit

Within me” Psalm 51:10

“Trust in the Lord

With all YOUR HEART

And lean not

On your own understanding” Proverbs 3:5

“Now that you have

Purified yourselves

By obeying the truth

So that you

HAVE SINCERE LOVE

For each other

Love one another deeply

FROM THE HEART” 1 Peter 1:22

There is a LESSON here

For all of us

Don't try debating points

But RESPOND

WITH SINCERITY=and humility

Of the heart

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of OUR EVER SINCERE and honest holy FATHER!

When I say I am in the Father

And the Father is in me

Or at least believe

On the evidence of the MIRACLES themselves” John 14:11

“God also testified to it by signs

Wonders and various MIRACLES

And gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT

Distributed according to his will” Hebrews 2:4

FINDING DIVINE FAVOR!

 

FINDING DIVINE FAVOR!

IMAGINE this=

You live in a small town

In a small country

You are a YOUNG teenage girl=

DREAMING of a husband and children=

Living a long-quiet life

Then one day=AN ANGEL

Appears to you and tells you=

You will be with child=

The MOTHER OF GOD

“Then the ANGEL said to her=

'Do NOT be afraid=Mary=

For you have FOUND FAVOR

With God'” Luke 1:30

How great is that?

But what would we do=

IF we found DIVINE FAVOR with God?

Finding favor=FINDING DIVINE FAVOR with God

“May the FAVOR-

Of the Lord our God

Rest on us=

Establish the work

Of our hands

For us--------

Yes=establish the work

Of our hands” Psalm 90:17

“The lips of the righteous

Know what FINDS FAVOR=

But the mouth

Of the wicked

Only what is perverse” Proverbs 10:32

“........to proclaim

The year of the LORD'S FAVOR

And the day of vengeance

To our God=to comfort

All who mourn” Isaiah 61:2

God had a PLAN

For Mary's life=

He sent a message to her

Through an ANGEL

That she would give birth

To a child named Jesus=

And she said YES

How about us?

Do we say yes to

God's PLANS for our life?

Mary was afraid

But she said YES

Because of ONE basic FACT

The angel told her

She had FOUND DIVINE FAVOR

With God

“Glory to God

In the highest heaven

And on earth=peace

To those on whom

HIS FAVOR RESTS” Luke 2:14

“All of you=clothe yourselves

With humility=toward one another=because

'God opposes the proud=

AND SHOWS FAVOR

To the humble'” 1 Peter 5:5

Just imagine the BLESSING

That God gave to Mary=but

It did NOT SHIELD her

From sorrow and pain

And it won't shield us either

But we can BE like Mary

And FIND DIVINE FAVOR with God

By following his plan=

For our lives

ONLY God can give us

The favor and the gifts

That we need=in this life

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our ever LIFE-GIVING FATHER

ANT TIME=ANY PLACE

 

ANY TIME=ANY PLACE

There is NO perfect time=

Or perfect place for PRAYER

IF we learned anything

From Jesus=we should

Have learned that=HE PRAYED

When the Spirit

Called upon him

TODAY we read about=

When Peter is PRAYING=and

He had a vision

About what to TEACH

“I was at PRAYER........

When in a trance-

I had a VISION........” Acts 11:5

And I am SURE Jesus

Received many of his parables=

Much of his knowledge=

From the Father-

IN PRAYER

He had the most INNOVATIVE IDEAS-

Of how to TEACH US

And he could do it

ANY TIME=any place

The same way=

He prayed to the FATHER

He had the SPIRIT of God

In him-at all times

We can pray while WALKING=

While running-or

Watching television

We never know WHEN our

INTERIOR SPIRIT=when the

Spirit of God

Might break through

“WHERE can I go

From your SPIRIT?

Where I can flee

From your presence?” Psalm 139:7

“The SPIRIT of the Lord

Will rest on him---------

The Spirit of wisdom

And understanding

The Spirit of counsel

And of might=

The Spirit of the knowledge

And=fear

Of the Lord” Isaiah 11:2

Yes=the SPIRIT of God=

The Spirit of prayer

Can break through

INTO US=at any time

At ANY PLACE

You never know

When God has something

He wants to SAY to you

Or in some cases=like

With Jesus=to say

TO THE WORLD

PRAYER can break through

Into us any time=any place=

THE SPIRIT OF PRAYER

God is always NEAR and

Prayer is just

A MOMENT AWAY

“My TIMES

Are in your hands

Deliver me

From the hands

Of my enemies

From those who pursue me” Psalm 31:15

“He said to them=

'It is NOT for you

To know the TIMES

Or dates=the Father

Has set by his

Own authority

But you will

Receive power when the

HOLY SPIRIT comes on you........'” Acts 1:7-8

And PRAYER will break through

Into us=ANY TIME-ANY PLACE

When the Father

Lets the SPIRIT=touch

OUR SOULS

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our HOLY FATHER GOD

Broken down people

Broken in every way

I am just one of you

A broken down person

Among broken down people

Living in a broken down world

I am broken down physically

Seven operations

Living chronically in pain

From day to day

I am just a broken down person

Living among

A lot of broken down people

Trying to live in

A broken down world

So I’ve been broken physically

Broken financially

I have had many relationships

That I couldn’t save

Both family and friends

No matter how hard that I tried

Broken down people

Broken in every way

I am just one of you

A broken down person

Among broken down people

Living in a broken world

I am just

One of many broken down people

Trying to live in a broken world

LETTING GO AND BEING FAITHFUL

 

LETTING GO AND BEING FAITHFUL

Wouldn't you just like

To LET GO of the

World right now=And this

Corona virus and all of

This crazy mixed up world?

I would=LET IT ALL GO=

And HOLD ON to God=hold on

To Jesus=

HOLD ON TO BEING FAITHFUL!

“If you would hearken to

My commandments=

Your prosperity-

Would be like a river

And YOUR VINDICATION

Like the waves

Of the sea” Isaiah 48:18

The IMAGES of nature-

Help us to see

How to submit=

And LET GO

And to ACCEPT what is

And stay=FAITHFUL TO GOD

And Jesus

Like the flow

Of the river=

We can be open

To the forces

Beyond our control

We can be open

TO REMAIN FAITHFUL

To our God and Jesus

BEING FAITHFUL=remaining faithful

Yet letting go of

THIS CRAZY MIXED UP WORLD

Yes let us remain humble

In the midst of

GOD'S POWER AND STRENGTH

“Love the Lord

All HIS FAITHFUL PEOPLE

The Lord preserves those

Who are true to him=

But the proud

He pays back in full” Psalm 31:23

“She speaks with wisdom

And FAITHFUL INSTRUCTION=

Is on her tongue” Proverbs 31:26

“His master replied=

'Well done-good and FAITHFUL SERVANT!

You have been FAITHFUL

With a few things=

I will put you=in charge

Of many things=

Come and share=Your master's happiness!'” Matthew 25:21

What a good thing

It would be

If we could LET GO right now=

If we could live

In God's KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

We are all GOD'S CHILDREN=

Now would be a good time-

For many of us

To START living like it

To learn to submit to

And LIVE in God's world

Let us live a FAITHFUL LIFE==

Faithful to God and Jesus

“But Christ is FAITHFUL

As the SON-

Over God's house

And we are his house-

If indeed=we hold firmly

To our confidence

And the hope

In which we glory” Hebrews 3:6

NOW is a good time

To TURN to God

And let him=

Provide for our needs

And offer our lives=as we

REMAIN FOREVER FAITHFUL!
