THE REAL PRESENCE OF GOD

 

THE REAL PRESENCE OF GOD

I would imagine that

MOST priests and nuns

As well as MINISTERS

Would AGREE that God

And Jesus is the CENTER

Of this life

But there is a lot

Of us normal EVERY DAY

People=lay people

Who keep God and Jesus

At the center

Of our THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

“To you will I offer

A sacrifice of THANKSGIVING.......” Psalm 116:17

GIVING THANKS to God and Jesus

For being PRESENT every day

Being present IN MASS and

Sunday services=which have been

VERY HARD for me

To attend since COVID

But regardless-

God and Jesus has REMAINED

At the center=of my life

And I NEED THEIR PRESENCE

Every day of my life

“Blessed are those

Who have learned=to acclaim you

Who walk

In the light

OF YOUR PRESENCE=Lord” Psalm 89:15

“Where can I go

From your Spirit?

Where can I flee

From your PRESENCE?” Psalm139:7

“For Christ-

Did not enter a sanctuary

Made with human hands

That was only a copy

Of the true one=

He entered heaven itself

Now to appear=for us

IN GOD'S PRESENCE” Hebrews 9:24

And God and Jesus

Are PRESENT with me

Every day

WHEN I say my prayers

When I read my BIBLE=

When I say=MY ROSARY

GIVING THANKS

For the real presence

Of God=

Giving thanks for the others

In this world

That God and Jesus LIVE IN

“But THANKS be to God!

He gives us=the victory

Through our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 15:57

And I BELIEVE God

Is PRESENT
Throughout the world

In the beautiful things

We humans=tend to make

A mess of a lot of things=

But God is STILL PRESENT

He has GIVEN

A lot to us

“THANKS be to God

For this indescribable gift” 2 Corinthians 9:15

We are ONE in the Lord=

And I am GIVING THANKS

For this heaven sent

GIFT OF LIFE

Until we reach the end

I am GIVING THANKS

For his real presence

Here on earth

In Jesus' name=and in the the name=OF OUR ALWAYS PRESENT=Holy Father God!

GREATNESS

In the XXIII chapter

Of Saint Matthew’s Gospel

Jesus tells how to be great

He tells us

The greatest among you

Will be the servant

To everyone else

He tells us

He who humbles himself

Will in fact be great

Are you serious Lord

Couldn’t we just aspire

To be rich and famous

Like everyone else

Jesus goes on

To tell us

That the greatest single quality
That a human being can have

Is sincerity

Think about it

Can you build a relationship

On insincere love

Or build a life

By going out every day

With insincere faith, and hope

Sincerity it the foundation of ALL human relationships

If there is no trust

You have NO relationship

The challenge in this world

Is to be REAL

The challenge

Is to be sincere

In our faith, in our love, and in our hope

Both with God and all others

So dear Lord,

We pray to you

For honesty, humility, and sincerity

And that we take no offense

When others are thought better

And held in higher esteem than us

And finally dear Lord

We pray that you

Meek and humble of heart

That you make our heart

Like yours

Is there EVIDENCE in your life=

That says

You are a CHRISTIAN?

Is there ENOUGH evidence

To PROVE IT?

In your life=

In your home

In who you ASSOCIATE with?

“So now consider

What he has

DONE for you

And praise him

With full voice” Tobit 13:6

Do you have PICTURES of

Jesus and the HOLY FAMILY

In your home?

Do you have a

BIBLE and prayer books

In your home?

Is there evidence

Of God in your life?

Is there EVIDENCE of God

In what you say

And do?

LIVE LIFE like you mean it=

Live life

Like you are a CHRISTIAN

Can you be CONVICTED

Of being a CHRISTIAN?

“Believe in me

When I say

That I am

In the Father

And the Father

Is in me

Or at least believe

ON THE EVIDENCE

Of the works themselves” John 14:11

“Let your gentleness

BE EVIDENT to all=

The Lord is near” Philippians 4:5

DON'T be ashamed of your faith=

Let the SIGNS of God

And of Christ

SHINE in your life

Let the evidence

SHOW

That you are a CHRISTIAN

Don't be ashamed

Of being CONVICTED OF THIS

“We have come

To share in Christ

If indeed we hold

Our original CONVICTIONS

To the very end” Hebrews 3:14

“For I am CONVINCED

That neither death nor life

Neither angels or demons

Neither the present

Nor the future

Nor any powers

Neither height nor depth

Nor anything else

In all creation

Will be able

To separate us

From the love of God

That is in Christ Jesus” Romans 8:38-39

PRAISE GOD in every circumstance

In your life=let the WORLD

See who you are

YES I am a CHRISTIAN=

And I am damn proud of it

Are you?

Let it be EVIDENT in ALL

That we are and do

WE”LL LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOR YOU

There is a popular hotel chain

Whose slogan is

“We’ll leave the light

On for you”

Today’s world

Is full of darkness

The darkness of materialism

The darkness of sexual lust

The darkness that says

Every miracle---everything unexplained

Is a miracle of science

It is a darkness

That is leaving

A trail of broken churches

Leaving a trail

Of broken families

And leaving a countless trail

Of broken people

We live in a world

That tells us

God no longer exists

I tell you

That that is not true

That turning back to God

That turning

Towards the one true light

Is our last and only hope

God gave us two great lights

The light of day---the sun

And the light of the night

The moon

So that we can still find our way

In the darkness

But I suggest to you

That we must first open our eyes

Or we will never find our way

“Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path” Psalm 119:105

Choose love, kindness, and forgiveness

NOT coldness, indifference, and ingratitude

Choose the light of goodness

Over the darkness of evil

Turn back to God

Jesus said,

“I am the LIGHT of the world

Whoever follows me

Will never walk in darkness

But he will have

The LIGHT OF LIFE”

I urge you

To choose GOD over Satan

Choose good over evil

Choose light over darkness

I am

Trying to do my best

To walk in the pathway of God

And of light

And I invite you

To come on over

And I promise you

If I am fortunate enough to be there,

“WE’LL LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOR YOU”

If one child

Is harmed

That is

One too many

Is neglected

That is

One too many

Is abused

That is

One too many

If one child

Is used

That is

One too many

If one child

Is without love

That is

One too many

Someday

I hope to live

In a world

Where no child

Experiences any

WHERE NO CHILD EXPERIENCES ANY

IN SMILES AND JOY!

God wants GRATEFUL PEOPLE

In this world=Grateful

For what he

Has given us=and

Grateful too=for

What we have ACCOMPLISHED

With the OPPORTUNITIES

We have been given

IN THIS LIFE

And he wants us to

Be SO GRATEFUL=that we

Will REACH OUT

And be GENEROUS with others

“Then Tobit went back in

REJOICING and praising God

With full voice

For everything

That had happened” Tobit 11:15

Tobit has two GOOD REASONS

For his GRATITUDE

First of all=

His sight was RESTORED=

And then his son

RETURNED home safely-

From his long journey

NO WONDER he was

Expressing GRATITUDE to God=

Little wonder=he was HAPPY

And full of SMILES

And joy

We too should express SMILES

And JOY in life=

And express GRATITUDE to God

In full voice

With SMILES=and in joy

“Let the message of Christ

Dwell among you richly=

As you teach and admonish

One another=with all wisdom

THROUGH psalms-hymns-

And songs from the Spirit

Singing to God

WITH GRATITUDE in your hearts” Colossians 3:16

Don't worry=be happy

EXPRESS SMILES and JOY

To God=

And be generous

With all others

“Good will come

To those

WHO ARE GENEROUS

And lend freely

Who conduct their affairs

With justice” Psalm 112:5

“The GENEROUS

Will themselves be blessed

For they share their food

With the poor” Proverbs 22:9

I think gratitude

Is a SIGN

That we are CLOSE TO GOD=

When we are grateful

We are HUMBLY acknowledging

We are on

The RECEIVING END

From someone's generosity

Ultimately=the GIVER of

All good gifts=is God the FATHER himself

We express gratitude

NOT in frowns and sadness

But in SMILES AND JOY

Then we want to BE

GENEROUS with others

Like our GOD was with us

I am GRATEFUL FOR LIFE=

And for you=

What are you GRATEFUL FOR?
