FOR GOD’S DIVINE WISDOM!

 

I pray=FOR lots of people=

I pray

For lots of things=every day=ONE OF

The things I pray for is for

GOD’S DIVINE WISDOM=to put

Into my writings every day

 

Praying for=The gift of

GOD’S DIVINE WISDOM!

 

Today we read about Sirach

And how he reminisces=about his SPIRITUAL LIFE

 

How he thanks God=for how he

HAS GUIDED HIM=With DIVINE WISDOM

Praying=FOR GOD’S DIVINE WISDOM!

 

“I PRAYED=for her=before the temple

And I will SEEK HER=until the end…….

 

My hand opened=her gate

And I came=to KNOW her secrets

I directed=my soul to her=and in cleanness=

I attained to her”                                                                                                                   Sirach 51:14, 19-20

 

NOT a day=goes by

When I don’t

PRAY FOR GOD’S WISDOM!=I hope

You pray for it too

 

For my family=for my friends

AND for our world and country

So many of us seem to be

MAKING POOR CHOICES=we certainly could use

A LITTLE MORE WISDOM

In the world=Right now

 

David’s son Solomon

Was granted wisdom=when he

PRAYED FOR WISDOM=and he

LIVED with that wisdom=for many years

Until women and wealth=got in his way

 

We all=SURE could use

A little more of=GOD’S WISDOM

In the world today

Praying=FOR GOD’S DIVINE WISDOM!

 

“God gave=SOLOMON WISDOM

And very great insight=and a breadth=of understanding

As measureless=as the sand=on the seashore”                                                                            1 Kings’ 4:29

 

“But God made=the earth=by his power

He founded=the world=BY HIS WISDOM”                                                                                      Jeremiah 10:12

 

“And Jesus grew=IN WISDOM

And stature=and in favor

With God and man”                                                                                                                          Luke 2:52

 

I find direction=for my life

By SEEKING=the will of God

And praying=FOR GOD’S DIVINE WISDOM!

 

We sure do need a RELATIONSHIP

With God and Jesus in our life

 

Like Sirach=like Solomon=and like

Jesus himself=with his DIVINE FATHER

Keep on PRAYING=FOR GOD’S DIVINE WISDOM!

In this life

 

They did=that is the least

That we can do

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name==of our FOREVER GUIDING AND WISE=Holy Father God!

A GIFT FROM GOD

 

A GIFT FROM GOD

Our LIVES are

A GIFT from God=

And what we bring

Back to God

With our lives

Are OUR GIFTS

BACK TO HIM

Let us PRODUCE FRUIT=

30=60= and 100 fold

With our lives

“But the seed sown

On rich soil

Is the one

Who hears the word-

And understands it

Who indeed BEARS FRUIT

And yields a hundred

Or sixty-or thirty fold”                                                                                                   Matthew 13:23

WHEN we sow seeds

In rich soil=

It makes me THINK

Of FAMILY AND DIVERSITY

We should be PRESENTING

Our lives to our FAMILIES=

To our friends and neighbors=

And to our COMMUNITIES

We live in a DIVERSIFIED WORLD=

And our lives

Should be GIVEN

To all people

To all races

And colors=

To all religions

To all people

We should be

LOVING EVERYONE

Just like Jesus did

Just like Jesus

Our lives are MEANT

For ALL

Our lives are meant

To be a GIFT FOR ALL

“A GIFT GIVEN

In secret=soothes anger=

And a bribe concealed

In the cloak

Pacifies great wrath”                                                                                                     Proverbs 21:14

“.......For GOD'S GIFTS

And his call

Are irrevocable”                                                                                                           Romans 11:29

“So it is with you=

Since you are eager

For GIFTS

Of the Spirit

Try to excel

In those

That build up the church”                                                                                            1 Corinthians 14:12

In the CHURCH

We are ALL

CHILDREN OF GOD

And we are all made up

Of DIFFERENT cultures

And different FAITH TRADITIONS=

We need to spread

The TRUTH of God

And LOVE to all people

“But the word 

Of God

Continued to SPREAD

And flourish”                                                                                                                 Acts 12;24

“In this way

The word of the LORD

SPREAD widely

And grew in power”                                                                                                Acts 19;20

Our Church's strength

Is its DIVERSITY

Our richly blown soil

IS A GIFT FROM GOD=

Love one another

AND ALL HUMAN BEINGS

“Whatever Happened to”

 

 

Whatever happened to The American Dream?  Growing up in Pittsburgh, Pa.,

I was brought up in a middle-income family.  To me, what the American Dream

Was, was to meet someone, raise a family, get a job, and buy a home.

 

With divorce rates hovering around 50%, and foreclosures up at an all-time high,

Not to mention the economy, my questions are:

 

1.  Whatever happened to the American Dream?

 

2.  What is the American Dream for our kids today?/  Is there an American Dream

     For our kids today?

Ps  I am proud to be an American.  I have the freedom to choose how I want to live my

      Life.

 

It is=OUR RESPONSIBLITY TOO!

 

OUR RESPONSIBILITY TOO!

I am sure=all of us PARENTS=

Think about=what we are going

Tor LEAVE OUR FAMILIES=when we

Leave this world

 

Jesus didn’t have a family=

But he left ALL OF US=

A LEGACY OF FAITH=and a LEGACY OF LOVE

 

That is=OUR RESPONSIBILITY TOO!

To leave a legacy=of

LOVE and faith=beyond

The monetary items=we leave

OUR CHILDREN=and families

It is=OUR RESPONSIBILITY TOO!

 

“Through God’s covenant with them

THEIR FAMILY ENDURES=their posterity

For their sake”                                                                                                                             Sirach 44:12

 

WE all want our family=

To live on=HEALTHY AND HAPPY

After we are gone

 

We leave BEHIND MATERIALLY

What we can=but far more important

IS THE LOVE AND FAITH

We leave for others=LONG AFTER=we are gone

 

Jesus took it TO HEART=HE

Left us his CHURCH=HIS EVERLASTING LOVE

And his INFINITE FAITH

 

It is=OUR RESPONSILITY TOO!

To LEAVE love and faith behind

For all those we TOUCH=in this world

OUR RESPONSIBILITY TOO!

 

“I will sing=

Of the Lord’s GREAT LOVE=forever

 

With my mouth=I will make

YOUR FAITHFULNESS known=

Through all generations”                                                                                                                   Psalm 89:4

 

“For great is=HIS LOVE toward us

And the FAITHFULNESS=of the Lord

Endures forever”                                                                                                                              Psalm 117:2

 

“LET LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS=never leave you

Bind them=around your neck

Write them=On the tablet=Of your heart”                                                                            Proverbs 3:3

 

Yes=the REAL LEGACY

We leave our FAMILIES

Is OUR FAITH=and OUR LOVE

And our own personal COVENANTS

With God

 

My covenant=was MADE PUBLICLY

To Father Joseph P. Newell=on my death bed=in 1977

“TO LIVE=FOR MY FAMILY=MY FRIENDS=and ALL PEOPLE EVERWHERE”

If GIVEN=a chance=to live my life

 

Yes=OUR LOVE AND FAITH

Is worth MORE=than anything monetarily

We leave behind

 

MY PARENTS=left my sisters and myself

A LEGACY OF FAITH AND LOVE=and it is

OUR RESPONSIBILITY TOO!=to pass it along

To others

 

“Be joyful in hope=patient in affliction

FAITHFUL IN PRAYER”                                                                                                                  Romans 12:12

 

My dear friends=I HOPE

You can leave your children=some wealth

 

But MORE than that=may you leave

FAITH AND LOVE BEHIND for them

Your family and friends=and make sure THEY KNOW

THAT YOU LOVE THEM!

It is=OUR RESPONSIBILITY TOO!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=Of our FOREVER LIVING and FOREVER LOVING=Holy Father God!

OF GOD’S LOVE

Of Christ’s life

Alive in some way

In today’s world

 

For ourselves

And if we are

BLESSED with the opportunity

For someone else

 

God BEGAN a work in you

At Baptism

And will carry it on

To completion-if we let him

 

“I THANK my God

Every time I remember you

In all my prayers

For all of you

I always

Pray with joy

Because of your partnership

In the gospel

From the first day

Until now

 

Being confident of this

That he who began

A GOOD WORK in you

Will carry it on to completion

UNTIL THE DAY

Of Christ Jesus”                                                                                Philippians 1:3-6

 

God began

A work in you At Baptism

 

Maybe you

As I did

Got lost along the way

In your teens-or twenties

 

Don’t worry

It is common

It is called growth

It is called maturity

 

Maybe you

Reconfirmed your vowels

From Baptism

As a baby

Or maybe you

Were born again

And recommitted your life to God

 

For each of us

Our journey is different

 

What is common

Is that

We are all

On a journey

And we all

Have a personal relationship with God

(If we choose to)

 

GOD BEGAN

A good and perfect work in you

And GOD WILL

Carry it on to completion

 

“The fear of the Lord

Is the beginning of wisdom

All who follow his precepts

Have good understanding

To him belongs eternal praise”                                                                    Psalm 111:10

 

“The fear of the Lord

Is the beginning of knowledge

But fools despise wisdom and discipline”                                                 Proverbs 1:7

 

God began

A good and perfect work in you

God will

CARRY IT ON TO COMPLETION

And we know

He will carry

That perfect work in us

THROUGH LOVE

 

“There is

NO FEAR IN LOVE

But perfect love

DRIVES out fear

Because fear

Has to do with punishment

 

The one who fears

Is not perfect in love”                                                                       1 John 4:18

 

Just love baby

JUST LOVE

 

God will

COMPLETE HIS WORK IN US

TO A HIGHER STANDARD

 

Are you=A GOOD PERSON?

Are you=A BELIEVER in God

And considered=to be a CHRISTIAN?

 

If YOUR ANSWERS=to

These questions are YES=you

Are HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD=

For our God and Lord=is DEPENDING ON YOU

To get the job done

A job of FAITH=a job of BELIEVING

 

“ALL of them differ=one from another

Yet none of them=has he MADE IN VAIN

For each in turn=as it comes=IS GOOD”                                                                              Sirach 42:25

 

Are we all good

I would like=to think so

But I know=that is NOT TRUE

 

For I see THE NEWS=each day

I see the crime=I see the domestic violence

I see the=IRRESPONSIBLE USE OF GUNS

 

Yet I KNOW

That there is a=TOUCH OF GOODNESS

In EVERY ONE of us

 

For we are MADE in

The IMAGE AND LIKENESS

Of our God and Jesus

 

IF we accept that fact

We have to Call ourselves

TO A HIGHER SATANDARD

We have to TRY

And live=like our God and Jesus

 

“Then God said=

‘Let us=make mankind=IN OUR IMAGE

In our likeness

 

So that they=may rule

Over the fish in the sea=the birds……..’”                                                                                       Genesis 1:26

 

“For those God foreknew=

He also predestined=to be conformed

TO THE IMAGE=Of his Son…….”                                                                                                Romans 8:29

 

“And we all=

Who with unveiled faces=

Contemplate the Lord’s glory

 

Are being transformed=INTO HIS IMAGE

With an ever-increasing glory

Which comes from the Lord=who

Is the Spirit”                                                                                                                                 2 Corinthians 3:18

 

That is right=MY FRIENDS

Every single one of us

Man or woman=have been made in

 

THE IMAGE OF GOD=that means

There is SOME GOODNESS=in each of us

And we are CALLED=

TO A HIGHER STANDARD

 

“And those he predestined=

HE ALSO CALLED=those he CALLED

He also justified=those he justified

He also glorified”                                                                                                                         Romans 8:30

 

My dear friends=we have

ALL FAILED GOD

In our lives=at one time=or another

 

But we have JESUS’ IMAGE=in us

And that means=we are Called

TO A HIGHER STANDARD

 

Let us PRAY=for each other

That more of us=START LIVING

That way

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS GOOD=Holy Father God!
