FINDING THE STRENGTH=TO GO ON

Life is tough=and sometimes

It seems=to deal us=a series

Of endless BODY BLOWS

That is the case=

With our world right now=

With the CORONA VIRUS=and all

That is going on

But we have to-

FIND OUR STRENGTH=

In the Lord=we have to KEEP

Going on=we have to

Keep moving FORWARD

With our lives

“Let your hearts take comfort-

All who HOPE 

In the Lord”                                                                                                          Psalm 31:25

Every day=when I get up

I pray for STRENGTH

From the Lord

I pray for

THE STRENGTH

To deal with

Whatever unknown CHALLENGES-

May come my way

FINING THE STRENGTH

To go on=

Finding the strength

To deal with

Whatever we MAY have to

“It is God

Who arms me WITH STRENGTH

And keeps=my way secure”                                                                             2 Samuel 22:33

“God is our refuge

And STRENGTH=

An ever present help

In trouble”                                                                                                             Psalm 46:3

“........but those who HOPE

In the Lord

Will renew their STRENGTH

They will soar=

On wings like eagles

They will run

And not grow weary

They will walk

And not be faint”                                                                                                    Isaiah 40:31

We all face

The PHYSICAL CHALLENGE 

Of storms in life

We face physical challenges-

We face financial challenges-

And we face=MANY INTERPERSONAL CHALLENGES

Challenges of families-colleagues-

Children=and WHATEVER life

May bring us

FINDING THE STRENGTH

To go on=in life

“For the foolishness of God

Is wiser=than human wisdom

And the weaknesses of God

Is stronger=

THAN HUMAN STRENGTH”                                                                               1 Corinthians 1:25

Our ONLY SOURCE of strength

Is the Lord=

He is our only hope

That ALLOWS us to go on

Keep the GOSPEL

Of our Lord-CLOSE to your heart

In FINDING THE STRENGTH-

To keep moving forward

“........and once made perfect

He became the SOURCE

Of eternal salvation-

For all who obey him”                                                                                           Hebrews 5:9

FIND YOUR STRENGTH and courage

In the Lord=take HEART

And keep MOVING FORWARD

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our EVER STRONG HOLY FATHER!

FULLY LIVING THE GOSPEL=and FINDING EVERYTHING!

 

 

 

 

 

 

FULLY LIVING THE GOSPEL=and

(And Finding Everything)!

 

Do you LOVE Jesus?=Do you LOVE THE GOSPEL?=The WORDS

Of God!=I suggest to you=That either BOTH answers are yes=or

Both ANSWERS are NO=You cannot have ONE=without the other=For

Jesus was=THE WORD=made flesh=The LIVING=loving=acting

OUT of the Word of God=FULLY LOVING THE GOSPEL!=”THE WORD

Became flesh=and made his dwelling among us=We have seen his GLORY=

Of the ONE and only Son=Who came from the Father=Full of

Grace and truth”                                                                                                                                           John 1:14

 

“Peter began to say to Jesus’=’We have given up EVERYTHING=and

Followed you’”                                                                                                                                   Mark 10:28

But LISTEN to Jesus’ answered=”Truly I tell you=No one=who has left home=

Or brothers or sisters=Or mother or father=or children=or fields for me=

AND THE GOSPEL=will fail to RECEIVE=a hundred times=as much in

The present age=……..and in the age to come to ETERNAL LIFE”                                  Mark 10:29-30

 

I have FOUND=all that to be TRUE=Just like our BROTHER JOB=from

The OLD TESTAMENT=Because of GIVING my life to=THE Holy Father=

Because of LIVING MY LIFE=on the WORDS of Jesus=I have been

GIVEN BACK so much more

 

ADDITIONAL years of life=Enough financial HELP and money=to survive=and

Being able=to spend years with My Mother and Father=and be with them=as

They PASSED from this life to the next=and not ONLY getting many more years

With MY TWO SISTERS=but FINDING all of you=My brothers and sisters=to

ACCOMPANY me along the way=Just be=FULLY LIVING THE GOSPEL LIFE!=

And internalizing it

 

“For I am NOT ashamed=OF THE GOSPEL=Because it is=THE POWER of God=

That brings salvation to everyone=First to the Jew=then to the Gentile”                             Romans 1:16

“For IN THE GOSPEL=the righteousness of God=is REVEALED=--------a righteousness=

That is by faith=from first=to last=just as it is written=’The righteous

Will live by faith’”                                                                                                                                                 Romans 1:17

 

When we=PUT GOD FIRST=when we LIVE BY THE GOSPEL=We find EVERYTHING=

We find=OUR VERY OWN SELF=We find the INNER WORKINGS of ourselves=and

What we are ALL about=We find humility=we find TRUTH=It is by no means easy=

We find difficulties=we find persecution at times=but we FIND OUT=what

Really matters= in this life=by FULLY LIVING THE GOSPEL=We  FIND EVERYTHING!

“For when=I preach THE GOSPEL=I cannot boast=since I am Compelled

To preach=Woe to me=IF I=do NOT preach the GOSPEL”                                                     1 Corinthians 9:16

 

“Whatever happen=Conduct yourselves in a manner=WORTHY of the GOSPEL

Of Christ”                                                                                                                                                          Philippians 1:27

 

I may=have lost some WORLDLY THINGS=along the way=But for me=it

Was NOT that great of  a loss=for in the LONG RUN=for I FOUND MYSELF=and

All of you by=FULLY LIVING THE GOSPEL!

 

Loving God ABOVE all else=Loving MY NEIGHBOR as myself=Forgiving 70X7=

And incorporating THE BEATITUDES into my personal life

 

Peter lost everything=but found even more=SO DID I!=Just by

LIVING THE GOSPEL!

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=Of our FOREVER LIVING=Forever loving=

Forever Teaching=Holy Father God!

ALWAYS LIVE IT!

 

ALWAYS LIVE IT!

The GOLDEN RULE is

ONE of the CORE teachings of Jesus

In Matthew today=we read it=

And it is PART

Of the SERMON on the MOUNT=

ALWAYS LIVE IT!

“So in everything

DO TO OTHERS

What you would

Have them=do to you=

For this sums up

The LAW

And the PROPHETS”                                                                                                   Matthew 7:12

Most of us have LEARNED

This law=and recite

This law=

From the TIME

We were children

WHY then=do we STRUGGLE

So much to live it?

The REASON we struggle

With it=is

Is because it is IMPOSSIBLE

To do=almost

ALL the time

ALWAYS LIVE IT!

Always live the GOLDEN RULE

“But he knows

The way I take=

When he has tested me=

I will come forth

AS GOLD”                                                                                                              Job 23:10

“Because I love your commands

MORE THAN GOLD=

More than PURE GOLD”                                                                                        Psalm 119:127

“A good name

Is more desirable

Than great riches

To be esteemed

Is better=than silver OR GOLD”                                                                                    Proverbs 22:1

ALWAYS LIVE IT!=

Always live=the golden rule

WHY is this so difficult 

To live?=we see EXAMPLES

Of cruelty and disrespect 

All around us=

We may even be GUILTY of it=ourselves

Instead we practice

A CHEAP IMITATION

Of the golden rule

We TREAT OTHERS well

If they agree with us=

If they-

SHARE OUR FAITH=

If they BELONG to

The SAME political party

As us=or if they

TREAT US WELL FIRST

The LORD'S rule is SIMPLE

“Do unto others=

Whatever you would have them

DO to you”

In other words=

LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

Always live it!

“A new command=

I give you=LOVE ONE ANOTHER

As I have loved you

So you MUST love one another

By this=everyone will know

You are my disciples=

If you LOVE ONE ANOTHER”                                                                              John 13:34

The golden rule=LOVE one another

LIVE IT ALWAYS!

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING HOLY FATHER!

OTHER CHRISTS

 

If we are true Christians

True true Christians

Our mission in life

Is to become other Christ’s

Albeit

Maybe smaller---more miniature versions

And to make his word---God’s word

Come alive in today’s world

 

Picture this

 

You meet your cousin

At the river

He baptizes you

And as you come up

Out of the water

Heaven opens up

And the Spirit of God

In the form of a dove

Descends upon you

 

Lightening flashes on him

And a voice says,

 

“This is my dear Son

With whom I am well pleased”                                                      Mark 3:13-17

 

You—one of John’s disciples

Take this all in

From that moment on

You know that your life

Will never be the same

 

John himself said,

“I must decrease---and he must increase”

From that moment on

John’s disciples followed Jesus

 

So must it be with us

If we are truly to become other Christ’s

In this world

 

We must die to ourselves---our selfish sinful selves

And as Jesus himself said,

“If anyone would come after me

He must deny himself

And take up his cross

And follow me”                                                             Mark 8:31

 

We live in a Godless society

Becoming a little more so each day

 

A poet once wrote:

“He has

No hands but your hands

He has no feet

But your feet

He has no mouth

But your mouth…….”

 

If God’s word

Is to truly come alive again

In today’s world

It is up to us

 

Saint Paul once said,

“I have been crucified with Christ

And I no longer live

But Christ lives in me

 

The life I live in the body

I live by faith in the Son of God

Who loved me

And gave himself for me”                                                       Galatians 2:20

 

Each one of us

Has been handcrafted by God

Our own unique selves

To live a life---and do a job

That no one else can do

Only us

 

And part of that job

Is to make God come alive again

In today’s world

 

Finally---dear Lord

We pray

That you shine in us and through us

 

And we become so much like you

That when the world looks at us

It sees no longer us

 

BUT YOU---OTHER CHRISTS
