ONE DAY=IT=THE HEALING=
WILL BE OURS


We often DAYDREAM-about touching
The hem of Jesus' garment
And dream of FEELING THE HEALING
Through his garment


LIKE the woman with the hemorrhage


Jesus-he TOUCHES us-
He gives us HEALING


“Go in PEACE and be CURED of your affliction” Mark 5:34


Oh that TOUCH of Jesus
Oh how he can HEAL us
If we just have
HAVE a little bit of FAITH


One day=it=the HEALING
Will be ours=with
A little bit of faith


“A wicked messenger
Falls into trouble


But a TRUSTWORTHY envoy
BRINGS HEALING” Proverbs 13:17


“Then your light
Will BREAK forth
Like the dawn


And your HEALING
Will quickly appear
Then your righteousness


Will be before you
And the GLORY of the Lord
Will be your rear guard” Isaiah 58:8


One day-the healing-
WILL BE OURS
With a little patience
And a lot of FAITH


“So they set out
And WENT
From village to village


Proclaiming the good news
And HEALING people everywhere” Luke 9:6


Jesus touches us-and he
TOUCHES others


And they touch us and we
Touch the others
In this way


Healing is DONE
In God's words
And they ARE spread about


And the HEALING TOUCH of God
IS SPREAD to us
And touches us


TOUCH US God-heal us-put
The healing touch
In EVERY ONE of us


That healing touch of God


“She said to herself,
'IF I only touch his cloak
I will be HEALED'” Matthew 9:21


“Jesus turned and saw her,'
'Take heart daughter,' he said,
'Your FAITH has healed you,'
And the woman
Was HEALED at that moment” Matthew 9:22


Just the SAME WAY-one day-IT
The HEALING-
WILL BE OURS


We are to live CONFIDENTLY-
And in PEACE


Convinced-that one day-the HEALING
Will be truly ours too


Physical healing-spiritual healing-
Emotional healing-ALL types of healing
And whatever we need


TODAY-we affirm-whatever ailments
We have-will be healed-
Through the POWER and DIVINE LIFE
Of Christ


YES-one day-with CONTINUED FAITH-
THE HEALING WILL BE OURS

AN UNWANTED PART OF ME

AN UNWANTED PART OF ME

I USED to have this
ONE certain habit in me
That I couldn't stand
About myself


An uncertain evil so to speak


Do you HAVE any evil-
UNWANTED habits in you
That you just CAN'T SEEM
To get over


With GOD'S HELP and SUPPORT
I was ABLE to overcome it


How about you? Or are you
STILL fighting whatever-I wish you WELL
In your continued fight


“WHEN he got out of the boat-
At once-a man from the tombs-
Who had an UNCLEAN spirit
Met him


The man had been dwelling among the tombs-
And NO ONE could restrain him-
Any longer


Even with a chain” Mark 5:2-3


TODAY we read about a man
Possessed by many demons


It's easy to UNDERSTAND
WHY Jesus would want to free him


But why would he send him
Into a herd of pigs
And over a cliff


Jesus PRESERVED me from
MY unclean spirits and gave me
MORE LIFE


How about you?
Were you ABLE to conquer
Your bad habit?
Were you able to LAND
On your feet and have Jesus
PRESERVE your life?


An unwanted part of me
Was overcome-
THANKS to the Lord
How about you?


“My comfort
In my suffering is this:


YOUR PROMISE
Preserves my life” Psalm 119:50


You PRESERVED my life Lord
From an UNWANTED part of myself
And you did it-in order-
To GIVE me life


“WHOEVER keeps commandments
Keeps their life


But whoever shows contempt
For their ways-will die” Proverbs 19:16


Save us LORD-
Preserve us
DELIVER US=from our evil


Forgive us-deliver us-
And GIVE us life


“Whoever tries to KEEP their life
Will lose it


And whoever loses their life
WILL PRESERVE IT” Luke 17:33


DELIVER us from evil Lord=deliver us
From this UNWANTED PART of ourselves


Dear LOVING Lord-
You KNOW our weaknesses
You know our frailties


HELP ME-help us-
SAVE us from this
Unwanted part of ourselves-
Like LEGION


You PRESERVE us


FREE us from
ALL that binds us


Selfishness-lack of patience-jealousy-whatever it is
HOLDING US back from you

YOU COUNT=OH YES YOU DO!

YOU COUNT=OH YES YOU DO!


Have you ever felt
EXCLUDED from a group of friends
Or a group of peers
That you really wanted to BELONG to?


I am SURE that you have=I have-we
ALL have-even Jesus was rejected
By his home town and his own people


But OUR God stands with you
He stands with all=he INCLUDES everyone
Even the poor and the “nothings”


YOU COUNT for something
You are SOMEONE=you are INCLUDED
In the kingdom of God


“........God chose the lowly
And despised of the world
Those who count for nothing
….....” 1 Corinthians 1:28


STAND with God-for he-
Will stand FOREVER with you


“I will declare
That your love stands
FIRM FOREVER


That you have established
Your faithfulness in heaven itself” Psalm 89:2


You COUNT-oh YES you do!=
In the kingdom of God-
And in the world of heaven itself


“You will be hated
By everyone-because of me


But the ONE
Who STANDS FIRM to the end
Will be saved” Matthew 10:22


STAND FIRM with God-stand firm
With Jesus-He will stand by you
UNTIL the end of time


“Nevertheless-God's SOLID foundation
STANDS firm
Sealed with this inscription:


'The Lord KNOWS those
Who are his'-and-
'Everyone who confesses
The name of the Lord
MUST turn away from wickedness'” 2 Timothy 2:19


There are NO nothings
There is no one who
Does not matter
In the EYES of the Lord
You are SPECIAL-you are INCLUDED


OUR God is an INCLUSIVE God-
A God who LOVES US ALL


DON'T ever let anyone tell you
That you do not matter
That you are nothing


THESE are the ONES our God
Our Jesus CHOOSES=he keeps us
IN his company=he chooses us
He COUNTS us as special


“You did not choose me
But I CHOSE YOU-
And appointed you


So that you might go
And bear fruit-
FRUIT that will last-


And so that whatever
You ASK in my name
The Father will give you


This is my command:
LOVE ONE ANOTHER” John 15:16

WHO IS THIS MAN TO YOU?

WHO IS THIS MAN TO YOU?


WHO is Jesus to you?


HE is our Lord-he is
Our friend-he was FULL of power-
And PERFORMED miracle after miracle
He even conquered death


Yet he CAME as a poor man
To a NORMAL family of his time---
And he died a criminal's death
Hanging on a CROSS


Who is this MAN of power?
This man of might? This HUMBLE-
Kind-loving man?


This man of mystery


“They were FILLED
With great awe-
And said to one another


'Who then is this-
Whom even wind and sea obey?'” Mark 4:41


He is no man-he is EVERY man-
He is a God-and a man of mystery
Who not even the smartest-
Of ALL of us-can understand


“No-we DECLARE God's wisdom
A MYSTERY-that has been hidden


And that God DESTINED
For our glory
Before time began


NONE of the rulers of the age
Understood it
For IF they had


They would NOT have crucified
The Lord of glory” 1 Corinthians 2:7-8


I think this is an
Individual question
I think it is SOMETHING
We have to ANSWER
For ourselves


For me-he is NOT
Just a man-he is a GOD
He is the SON OF GOD


He has ALL POWER and does CONTROL
The winds and the seas


But he is a man too
He UNDERSTANDS us all too well
He WALKED the walk
That we all walk


He is a human
And OUR FRIEND too


“I no longer
Call you servants


Because a servant
Does not know
His master's business


Instead-I have
Called you FRIENDS


For everything
That I have learned
From my Father


I have made KNOWN to you” John 15:15


And this God of POWER
The MASTER of all
Does treat us like a friend


He walked our same walk
He TALKED our same talk


And he was rejected
By mankind-a REJECTION-
That we ALL go through in life
At one time or another


WHO is this friend-
This MAN OF LOVE-compassion-
MERCY-power-and kindness to you?


For me-HE IS the alpha-the omega-
The BEGINNING and the end-
The man who HAS IT ALL


Yet he IS MY FRIEND=of whom=
I SHARE everything in my life with


WHO IS
THIS MAN TO YOU?

TELL ME A STORY

TELL ME A STORY


My dad WAS a great
Story teller
When I was a young boy
I USED to crawl up on his lap
And say-”tell me a story”


And of course-he would


We ALL know=Jesus' story=
IS the greatest story
EVER told


And beyond that=HE would tell
The greatest stories too


They were the greatest-
WISDOM-filled messages that
The world has ever known


And they were known as PARABLES


“With MANY such parables
He spoke the word to them


As they were able
To UNDERSTAND it” Mark 4:33


Jesus spoke of people-events-and
Things of the earth
To TEACH about divine truths


And everyone didn't grasp
The meanings of
These stories-these parables


ONLY his apostles-his disciples-
And the people of God-
EVEN TODAY


“I WILL open my mouth
With a parable


I will utter hidden truths
Things from of old--------” Psalm 78:2


“Jesus SPOKE
All these things
To the crowd
In parables


He did not say anything
To them
WITHOUT using a parable


So was FULFILLED
What was spoken
Through the prophet


'I will open my mouth
In parables


I will utter things hidden
SINCE the creation of the world'” Matthew 13:34-35


And Jesus TELLS US
The meaning of the WORD-parable
In Luke-chapter 8
In the parable of the SOWER


“.................
But the SEED of the good soil
Stands for those
With a noble and GOOD HEART


Who hear the word -
Retain it-
And by PERSEVERANCE
Produce a crop” Luke 18:15


I get it Lord
I get the WORD of God
And-I HOPE you all get it too


Tell us some stories Lord
TELL US some stories Jesus


And he did too
He told us-
The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
-A story of about 450 words
With the message=
USE IT OR LOSE IT=
Use it for the kingdom of God


We FIND so much wisdom
In these parables


WISDOM to apply to our
Daily LIVES


We LEARN about the good trees
And good fruits-and good people-
We learn about the GOOD SAMARITAN
And that anyone can do
The WILL OF GOD


And in Luke 15=we learn about
One lost coin-one lost sheep-and one lost
Son SEARCHING for his loving FATHER
Who is just WAITING FOR HIM
To come home


And we have the stories of the apostles=
The disciples=and the saints=
PLUS our own life stories


Dear Lord-thank you for the stories-
Thank you for your wisdom and parables


PLEASE give us some MORE STORIES-
It's story time Lord

SHARING OUR FAITH WITH OTHERS


ONE of the things
We are ALWAYS called upon
To do
Is to SHARE our FAITH


SHARE your faith
In love
Share your faith
In forgiveness
And share your faith
IN KINDNESS and mercy


“Therefore go
And MAKE disciples
Of all nations


BAPTIZE them in the
Name of the Father
And of the Son


And of the Holy Spirit


And TEACHING them
To obey everything
I have commanded you


And SURELY I am with you
ALWAYS-to the very end
Of the age” Matthew 28:19-20


And Jesus himself was baptized
By his cousin John


I too was BAPTIZED
As a baby-and
RECONFIRMED a number of different times
As an adult


And Jesus-himself-
GIVES us a tough passage
In the Gospel of Mark


“WHOEVER believes and is baptized
Will be saved


Whoever does not believe
Will be condemned” Mark 16:16


Jesus seems to be saying
“YOU are in-or
You are out”


We worship such a LOVING-
MERCIFUL God-but who knows-
Whether he meant it literally-
or not?


For what it is worth-I-
TOTALLY believe in him


FAITH is a difficult thing
But I have found it easier
To NAVIGATE life's challenges
In faith


When we balance our life
With faith in God and Jesus


Life is easier
WHEN we have FAITH
Than when our faith is
Weak or nonexistent


And we must SHARE-
Our faith in God and Jesus
With others


“IF you don not
Stand FIRM in your faith


You will NOT stand at all” Isaiah 7:9


“Jesus replied,
'If you have FAITH
And do not doubt


Not only can
You DO what was done
To the fig tree


But you can say
To this mountain,
'GO throw yourself
Into the sea'


And it will be done


If you BELIEVE
You will receive
Whatever you ask for
In PRAYER” Matthew 21:21-22


OUR LORD wants NONE
Of us-to be condemned


He CONVERTED Saul
Into Paul-
And he can convert anyone-
At any time


May you faith-BECOME-
As strong as Paul's


And may you always SHARE
Your FAITH WITH OTHERS


That way-we can ALL
Go to heaven

FINDING YOUR SOUL MATES
IN THIS LIFE


We all have SOUL MATES
In this life


I am talking about
The KIND of relationship
That is BASED
More on SPIRITUAL BONDS


Than on building
A flesh & blood relationship
ALTHOUGH it may include
These too


I have been BLESSED
In that I have had MANY
SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIPS-
Particularly since I started
To WRITE & SHARE my poetry


I even have ONE friendship
In which we CALL OURSELVES
BFF'S=and it GREW out of a=
SPIRITUAL relationship=and it STILL IS


But it has BLOSSOMED
Into a TRUE & CARING friendship
I would do anything
For that particular person


As I would do-for almost
ALL OF YOU


FINDING your soul mates
In this life


“For WHOEVER
Does the will of God
IS my brother-and sister-
And mother” Mark 3:35


My parents-and my sisters-
Aren't just my blood
Aren't just my family


WE always had and HAVE
The WORD of God
Between us and within us


The SAME is true of my cousins-
my aunts and uncles-and MANY
of my friends


We have the SHARED
Word of God between us


And we all KNOW
The Word of God
NEVER DIES


“He humbled you
Causing you to hunger
And then feeding you
With manna


Which neither you
Nor your ancestors had known
To TEACH YOU


That man
Does not live on bread alone
But on EVERY WORD


That comes
From the mouth of the Lord” Deuteronomy 8:3


“Heaven and earth
Will pass away


But my WORDS
Will NEVER pass away” Matthew 24:35


And NEITHER will our relationships
With our soul mates
They will STAND
The test of time
They are ETERNAL


MORE than a friend
A soul mate
Is someone
Who TOUCHES our soul


They know us and LOVE US
For who we are


I AM SO BLESSED


I have found soul mates
In my BFF-in my parents-in my sisters=
And in my cousins-and aunts &uncles
As well as in so MANY of my friends


That IS what sharing truth=
SHARING LOVE=and sharing the WORD
Of God
Will do for you/FOR US
In our relationships


“ALL the believers
Were in ONE heart and mind


NO one claimed
That any of their possessions
Was their own


But they shared everything
THEY HAD” Acts 4:32


I have FOUND MY SOUL MATES-
Indeed it IS ALL of you-


THANK YOU so much


And that is BECAUSE
Our relationships that we SHARE
Are BASED ON
THE WORD OF GOD
