JOURNAL/NEVER ALONE

JESUS resolutely determined to journey to Jerusalem-and he sent his messengers ahead of him” Luke 9:51

UNLIKE US-Jesus ALWAYS KNEW what the next stage of his life entailed-JESUS WAS in planning mode-He was looking ahead-BUT NOT looking forward to the suffering that was about to come into his life

JESUS KNEW WHY he was sent-and was RESOLUTE and COMPELLED to finish his mission-HE was NEVER ALONE-NEVER without GOD and NEVER without others until the very end

IT IS a GREAT DAY to be ALIVE in GOD'S LOVE for us-and a GREAT day to KNOW that we are NEVER ALONE in whatever we face in this life

WE PRAY that you are WITH THOSE who are dying today and PRAY that you give them a HAPPY DEATH and that you be with them On their journey into the RISEN LIFE

NEVER ALONE

We are NEVER alone

God is ALWAYS with us

He is never behind us

He may be beside us

HOLDIND US UP

But in most cases

He is walking ahead

And LEADING the way

“So the Lord alone did LEAD him

And there was NO strange god with him” Deuteronomy 32:12

WE ARE NEVER ALONE

We all face decisions

In life

Decisions of health

Decisions of finances

And MANY relationship issues

We have to accumulate

All the information

Then we have

To make a decision

For IF GOD is with us

What does it matter

Who is against us

For we are

NEVERALONE

LET GO-and let God

“Therefore

In the present case

I advise you

Leave these men alone

Let them go

For if their purpose

Or activity

Is of human origin

It will FAIL

But IF it is FROM GOD
You will not be able

To stop these men

You will only find yourselves

Fighting against God” Acts 5:38-39

TRUST in God

BELIEVE in God

Have FAITH in God

WE ARE NEVERALONE

But HOW do we know

IF our work

Is from God

Or of human origin

Have faith

IF it is supposed to be

IT WILL BE

If it is of God

If it is meant to be

It will be-IT WILL SURVIVE

WE ARE NEVER ALONE

And for a concrete example

ALL we have to do

Is look at JESUS’ own life

HIS WORK SURVIVED

HIS WORDS SURVIVED

“Caiaphas-who was the high priest

That year-spoke up

‘You know nothing at all

You do not realize

That it is better for you

That ONE MAN die for the people

Than that the whole nation perish” John 11:49-50

But Jesus did NOT die

HIS WORK survived

Because like us

WE ARE NEVER ALONE

ARE YOU WEARY?

 

ARE YOU WEARY?

Are you weary?

Who wouldn't be in

This year we call 2020?

But keep on MOVING FORWARD=for today

We celebrate ADEVENT=and one of

MY MOST FAVORITE Scriptural readings

“Come to me all you=

WHO ARE WEARY and burdened

And I will give you REST

Take my yoke upon you-

And learn from me

For I am gentle

And humble of heart

And you will FIND REST

For your souls

For my yoke is easy

And my burden is light” Matthew 11:28-30

It is easy to FEEL BURDENED

In this year 2020=in this

Year of Corona virus=and Lord KNOWS

What else

But you are GOOD ENOUGH=

Keep moving forward=even though

We can't see our families-

This holiday season=

YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH!

Are you WEARY?=

Who wouldn't be=but we

Are good enough=and we are

STILL LOVED by our families=

By our friends=and most of all

Still LOVED BY GOD!

God tells us we will

Find REST=and we will RISE AGAIN!

“........but those who hope

In the Lord

Will renew their strength

They will soar on wings

Like eagles=

They will run

And NOT GROW WEARY=

They will walk=

And not be faint” Isaiah 40:31

“Let us not become WEARY

In doing good=

For at the proper time

We will=reap a harvest-

IF we do not give up” Galatians 6:9

We are good enough

Right where GOD MEETS US

No matter how weary we are=

We can FIND REST again

In God and Jesus=

We will be

ABLE to soar again=

Like eagles=

Just like Isaiah tells us

Maybe this Christmas=coming

To the Lord in our

Worn out mess=and OFFERING OURSELVES

To him=is the

GREATEST GIFT we can give him

ARE YOU WEARY?

Don't worry=don't be

We can find OUR CHRISTMAS HOME

And rest=in our Lord

And SAVIOR Jesus Christ=

And in our HOLY FATHER GOD

“For in this HOPE

We were saved

BUT HOPE that is seen

Is no hope at all=

WHO HOPES FOR

What they already have?” Romans 8:24

WEARY or not=this Christmas season

Live with HOPE=You are GOOD ENOUGH

You will fly again

For CHRIST and our FATHER=are coming back

APRIL 21^st, 2012

WHY ARE WE SO LUCKY

Today is a great day

To be alive

The sun is shining

And we feel good

But for many of us

In this world

It is going to be their last day

They don’t know it

But we will die

Both saints and sinners

But it is also a day

Where many children are being born

All over the world

There is a 1 in 20 chance

That we will be born in America

Why are we so lucky

Most people are born to

Non-Christian families

Muslim, Buddhist, etc.,

Why are we so lucky

In India

You are lucky to live

To be a year old

Or if you are lucky

You might live

And just be sick

Your entire life

Why are we so lucky

I don’t know the answer

But I do know

Where much is given

Much is expected

I do know

God gave us a tremendous opportunity

God gave us a gift-LIFE

What we do with our life

Is our gift back to God

INSPIRE OTHERS!=

TAKE A STEP OUT IN FAITH

TODAY we read about Peter-again-

The impetuous one

He takes a step out in FAITH-

ONLY to experience that sinking feeling

And isn't that

The WAY it is with us

We step out in faith-

FEELING STRONG

Only to EXPERIENCE-that sinking feeling

The WEIGHT of the world

On our shoulders

And we BEGIN to sink

WHERE did our faith go?

“Peter got out of the boat

And began to walk

On the water toward Jesus

But when he saw how strong

The wind was

He became frightened

And-beginning to sink-

He cried out........” Matthew 14:29-30

I KNOW how Peter felt

We ALL FALL at times

During life

The CURRENTS are strong in life

Health difficulties weigh us down

Financial matters wear us out

And BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS threaten

To destroy us

But we must RISE

After we fall in life

We must INSPIRE OTHERS

With our FAITH

Just like our Jesus

INSPIRES US

“We must REMEMBER

Before our God and Father

Your work produced by faith

Your labor prompted by love

And your ENDURANCE

INSPIRED by hope

In our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 1:3

SUCCESS comes from getting back up

When we get knocked down

And you are going to get

KNOCKED DOWN-

That is a fact

INSPIRE OTHERS-just like Jesus

Who even conquered-and got up-

After death

Keep getting backing up

Just like Peter-just like Paul

Just like Jesus

Inspire others

STEP OUT in faith

Make a difference

In this world

“IMMEDIATELY-Jesus reached out-

His hand and caught him,

'You of little faith,'

He said,

'WHY did you doubt?'” Matthew 14:31

“Then those in the boat

WORSHIPPED him, saying'

'TRULY-you are the SON of God'” Matthew 14:33

Success in life-comes from PERSISTENCE-

It means getting up ONE MORE TIME

Than we get knocked down

That IS what Jesus did

That is what you and I

HAVE TO DO

Keep getting back up

Keep INSPIRING OTHERS-

And STEPPING OUT in FAITH

Jesus won-

You and I will win

GOD WILL WIN

And THIS WORLD WILL WIN

In the end

He once got knocked down eight times in one fight and WON-He was asked-what prompted you

To keep getting back up

HIS ANSWER:

“I figured if I could get up ONE MORE TIME than he knocked me down-I could WIN”

(SO IT IS with us-and our lives my friends-HAVE FAITH-we can WIN our personal battles)

ACCEPTING GOD'S WILL

Accepting GOD'S WILL is

One of the hardest things

To do=

Especially when we

DON'T UNDERSTAND IT=

Today we FOLLOW Mary

Who is our example

In FOLLOWING God's will

“The Holy Spirit

WILL come upon you

And the power of

The Most High

Will overshadow you” Luke 1:35

Today we HONOR MARY

And the feast of

The IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

How could she say YES

To God=to something

So improbable=SO IMPOSSIBLE=

But she did

How can we say yes

TO GOD=and to ACCEPTING

Our problems?

How can we FOLLOW

The way of God?

“I desire to do

YOUR WILL=my God=

Your law

Is within my heart” Psalm 40:8

“.......your kingdom come

YOUR WILL be done=

On earth-

As it is=in heaven........” Matthew 6:10

“For I have not hesitated

To proclaim to you-

The WHOLE WILL of God” Acts 20:27

We are experiencing

Moments of confusion=fear

And disorientation=

As the UNKNOWNS of life

Throw us about

Our Mother Mary

Sure did=but she came through

In the face of

HEARTBREAK and sorrow

We EXPERIENCE terrifying pandemics-

Job loss-Death of loved ones-

And all sorts of UNKNOWNS

In this world

Mary sure FACED the unknowns=

But she ACCEPTED IT

Despite her bewilderment=

She accepted=

The ANGEL'S reassuring words

She TRUSTED in God=when

Her life was in profound mystery=

The LEAST we can do

Is to TRY and do the same

Trying to=

And ACCEPTING GOD'S WILL

“ACCEPT one another=then

Just as Christ ACCEPTED YOU=

In order-

To bring praise to God” Romans 15:7

“Therefore get rid

Of all moral filth

And the evil

That is prevalent

AND HUMBLY ACCEPT the word

Planted in you

Which can save you” James 1:21

As we FACE our own

Doubts and fears

Let us ACCEPT

GOD'S WILL and the SCRIPTURE

Just as Mary did

Let us let God's SPIRIT=

FILL our hearts and minds

With a power=

GREATER than ourselves

As we ACCEPT GOD'S WILL

In the mysteries of life

In the names of Jesus=Mary=and our DIVINE LOVING FATHER

It is ADVENT=and like

John the Baptist tells us=

It is TIME to

Prepare the WAY

Of the Lord

It is NOT only time

To prepare the way=

But it is time

To FIND THE WAY

Of the Lord=and it is time

To follow

THE WAY of the Lord

“A highway will

Be there=called the HOLY WAY........

And on it

The redeemed will walk” Isiah 35:8-9

And in Isaiah 40=

“Prepare the WAY of the Lord........”

Is cited=as well as in the 4 gospels=

HOMAGE to John the Baptist is paid

FIND the way

Of the Lord=follow the WAY

Of the Lord=this ADVENT

FINDING THE WAY

OF OUR DEAR LORD

“In spite of this-

You did not trust

In the Lord your God

Who went ahead of you

On your journey

In fire by night

And in a cloud=by day

To search out places

For you to camp

And to show you

THE WAY you should go” 1 Deuteronomy 32-33

“Commit YOUR WAY to

The Lord=Trust in him

And he will do this........” Psalm 37:5

“There is a WAY

That appears to be right=

But in the end-

It leads to death” Proverbs 14:12

But when we FOLLOW=

The real Lord=Jesus Christ

It leads to=THE WAY OF LIFE

Followers of “THE WAY”

This is one of my

Most favorite passages

“Jesus answered=

'I AM THE WAY

And the truth

And the life

No one comes

To the Father

Following the way

Of the Lord=

FINDING THE WAY

Of the Lord

This Advent season

This is so REWARDING=

This Scriptural passage

In desert culture

IF you lost your way=

You could LOSE YOUR LIFE

This Advent=This Christmas season

There is STILL TIME

To FIND OUR WAY

There is still time

To get on the RIGHT PATH

And follow the WAY OF THE LORD

FINDING THE WAY OF THE LORD

This Christmas season

Dear Lord=we PRAY=Help us

To follow your way

And RETURN to the path=the

RIGHT PATH whenever we stray
