WE HAVE LIMITATIONS

 

WE HAVE LIMITATIONS

As we get OLDER-

We find that=we are not always

ABLE to do

What we once could do

At least=as EASILY

And sometimes=the TASKS

Become too LARGE for us

As we get older

WE HAVE LIMITATIONS!

And sometimes=we have

To DELEGATE some jobs

To others

“Brothers=select from among you

SEVEN reputable men.......” Acts 6:3

Today we see=AN EXAMPLE

Of limitations=

In the early CHURCH

The apostles were CONSUMED

With spreading the GOOD NEWS

Of the Lord

And what an awesome JOB

That they did=but they

Were so consumed

With SPREADING the good news

That they could NOT MEET

The needs

Of the Hellinistic widows

They SOLVED the problem

By DELEGATING to

“Seven reputable men”

To take on their needs

We all have MANY LIMITATIONS

Even the apostles did=but they solved them

By DELEGATING=to meet

The needs of others

Sometimes we have to delegate=

Sometimes we have

To be CREATIVE=

Use the creative process

In MEETING the needs of others

“Let them

Praise the name=of the Lord

For at his command

They were CREATED” Psalm 148:5

“They exchanged the truth

About God=for a lie

And worshiped and served CREATED things

Rather than the CREATOR--------

Who is forever praised-AMEN” Romans 1:25

“For in him

All things were CREATED

Things in heaven

And on earth-

Visible and invisible

Whether thrones or powers

Or rulers=or authorities

All things have been CREATED

Through him=and for him” Colossians 1:16

Life is a process=AGING is a process

WE ALL HAVE LIMITATIONS!

For one reason or another

At the age of 35=

I was not able to

DRIVE anymore

Due to neurological complications

From my bowel disease

But I survived=

I took the bus=

And other people=have been kind enough

To drive me

And the apostles had LIMITATINS

But GOD'S WORD has survived

Despite these limitations

“Heaven and earth

Will pass away=

But my WORDS

Will never pass away” Matthew 14:35

We can THRIVE=despite our limitations

WE ALL HAVE LIMITATIONS!

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our UNLIMITED HOLY FATHER!

WISHING YOU THE BEST!

I always wish everyone

The BEST=my family=

My friends=and ALL

People everywhere

I PRAY for everyone=I really do

WANT the BEST for everyone

IN GOD

“The scribes and the PHARISEES

Watched him closely

To see

If he would CURE

On the Sabbath

So that they might discover

A REASON to accuse him” Luke 6:7

NOT really wishing Jesus

The BEST of intentions

Are they?

How about you? Have

You ever looked for a reason

To DISLIKE someone?

Or TRIED to trap

Someone=into saying something

So that you could accuse them?

Our job as CHRISTIANS

IS to help others

BE at their BEST

And if we can't do that

PRAY for them=so they CAN BE

At their best

LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

“Let them give thanks

To the Lord

For his UNFAILING LOVE

And his wonderful deeds

For mankind” Psalm 107:8

“My command is this:

LOVE each other

As I have loved you

Greater LOVE has no one

Than this

To LAY down one's life

For one's friend” John 15:12-13

“For this is the MESSAGE

You heard: From the BEGINNING

We should LOVE ONE ANOTHER” 1 John 3:11

YES we are CHRISTIANS=

And yes we should LIVE WITH LOVE=

And always WISH EACH OTHER

The BEST

Did you ever NOTICE=we JUDGE

Others=by their actions=but judge ourselves

BY OUR INTENTIONS?

But the TRUTH is

Our intentions should TRANSFORM

Themselves=into

POSITIVE ACTIONS for others

And our positive DEEDS for others

Come from WISHING EACH OTHER
THE BEST

“The Son of Man

Came eating and drinking

And they say

'Here is a glutton

And a drunkard

A friend of tax collectors

And sinners'

But wisdom is PROVED right

By her DEEDS” Matthew 11:19

“What good is it=my brothers

And sisters=if someone CLAIMS

To have FAITH

But has NO DEEDS?

Can such faith SAVE them?” James 2:14

Dear FRIENDS=always WISH EACH OTHER

THE BEST

And let your INTENTIONS

Be transformed into DEEDS

I’LL CARRY THE PROMISE

I’ll carry the promise of hope

I’ll carry the promise of love

I’ll carry the promise

Of up above

I’ll carry the promise of life

I’ll carry the promise of love

I’ll carry the promise

Of up above

I wear the medal

Of seven operations

I wear the medal

Of a lifetime of chronic illness

I wear the stigma of a bankruptcy

I wear the cross of many failed relationships

I wear the cross of love

I wear the cross of botched medical care

I wear the cross

Of when nothing and no one

Seemed to want to share

I wear the cross of love

I wear the cross

Of a lifetime of problems

I could do nothing about

I wear the cross of love

But most of all

I haven’t given up

So I carry the cross of hope

So I carry the cross of love

So I carry the cross

Of up above

I carry the cross

Of falling down

Over and over and over again

I carry the cross

Of not knowing when to say “WHEN”

So I decided

To carry the promise of love

I decided to carry the cross of hope

And to carry

The promise of God up above

The promise of God who says:

“My son I will never forsake you”

LETTING GOD WORK!

 

LETTING GOD WORK!

We have all been

In situations

That seem HOPELESS

That seem extremely difficult

And UNCERTAIN

Where is is IMPOSSIBLE

To see the light

At the end

Of the TUNNEL

But we have to LIVE WITH HOPE=

Keep on going

We have to-

Let God MEET US

At our point of NEED

“Jesus said='Have the

People recline'” John 6:10

We have to

LET GOD WORK

Through us=we have to

Let God=do what he CAN

Through us

He has a WAY

Of doing things=HELPING OTHERS

Even when we can't see it

Let God WORK in you

TODAY and tomorrow=

Who knows

Who you might help?

“Give us TODAY=

Our daily bread” Matthew 6:11

“Jesus answered him=

'Truly I tell you-

TODAY=you will be with me

In paradise'” Luke 23:43

We might NEVER be

Asked to feed

Five thousand people

With five loaves and two fish

We might never be ASKED

TO STOP

Preaching and teaching

In the name of Jesus=

The way the apostles were

But we need to

KEEP ON GOING

No matter=how difficult things

May be

There is no telling

Who a KIND WORD

Might help=

There is no telling

Who might NEED

TO HEAR Jesus' message today

What is great is that

We can ask GOD

To bring about

ABUNDANCE AND OPPORTUNITY

Even when we see

Scarcity and roadblocks

LET GOD WORK!

Let God WORK in you=

No matter the situation

“Aaron is to present

The Levites

Before the Lord

As a wave offering

From the Israelites

So that they may be

Ready to go=to do

THE WORK of the Lord” Numbers 8:11

Let us keep moving FORWARD

In the WORK

Of the Lord

No matter how difficult

Let us move forward

With COURAGE=and faith=

And hope

KNOW that it is God

Who will do the work=

LET GOD WORK!

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our EVER WORKING HOLY FATHER!

MY BEST FRIEND

Jesus is my best friend

He is the one

I talk to

All through the day

He is the one

I talk to

When all others

Turn away

Jesus is my best friend

He is the one

I love

The very most

Jesus is my best friend

Jesus is my best friend

He is the one

I turn to

When I am feeling

Lost and confused

Jesus is my best friend

He is the one

Who I always turn to

For advice

Who else

Always got it right

Jesus is my best friend

I have other friends too

But I know

He will

Always be there

When all others

Turn away

Jesus is my best friend

His love

Is always true

HIS IS=THE ONLY WAY

There are many ways=

To do MANY things

In this world

But as far as

PRAYING to and TREATING

God the Holy Father=and

RESPECTING all others=

HIS WAY=Jesus'=is=

THE ONLY WAY=that there is

“The one=who is

Of the earth=is earthly

And speaks of

Earthly things

But the ONE-

Who comes from HEAVEN

Is above all” John 3:31

EXPERTS=we have them

In all AREAS of

Our life

We see and hear from

Them from everywhere

We have retirement experts=

Travel experts=religious experts=

ALL KINDS of experts

In every walk of life=in this world

What makes them experts?

Sometimes=it is=hard to tell

But often times=it is

YEARS of work-

Experience and analysis

But when it comes to

RESPECTING the Father=

Praying to the Father-

How we treat others

There is ONLY ONE WAY=

Jesus' way=his is

THE ONLY WAY=to get it right

“Prepare the WAY

For the Lord=make straight

Paths to him” Matthew 3:3

“Jesus answered=

'I am THE WAY=and the truth

And the life

No one comes to the Father

Except through me'” John 14:6

“Now eagerly desire

The greater gifts=and yet I will show you

The MOST EXCELLENT WAY” 1 Corinthians 12:31

The EXPERTS of this world

Have their way

Of doing things

They are NOT LYING to us=

But most of the time-

They have an AGENDA=

They are trying to push

But JESUS' WAY=in this life

Is the ONLY correct way

To FOLLOW the Father

The only correct way

At LOVING=and respecting

All others

HIS WAY=THE ONLY WAY!

The only agenda

Jesus had in this life

Was LOVING AND SERVING God

SOME of his ways=

Are very CHALLENGING=for us

But they still are

The correct way

“Therefore brothers and sisters

Since we have confidence

To enter the Most Holy Place-

By the blood of Jesus

By a new and LIVING WAY

Opened for us-

Through the curtain........” Hebrews 10:19-20

NO MATTER=how we feel

About Jesus' advice to us

We NEVER have to worry

About the advice he gives us=being right

To LOVE=forgive=and be KIND

HIS WAY=IS THE ONLY WAY!

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS LOVING FATHER!
