CHAPTER 7=Then=You SHALL KNOW=That I am the LORD

 

Line 1-2a

The end=REVEALS Yahweh=TO HIS PEOPLE

 

THE WORD=of the Lord=Came to me=PROVES

Ezekiel was a PROPHET=BEING USED BY GOD

 

Ezekiel was in Babylon=(His HEARERS=were following Ezekiel)

 

ANNOUNCEMENT of the END=MY eye

Will NOT spare you=I will JUDGE YOU=according to YOUR WAYS

And abominations

 

Line 5-7

 

REPAYMENT for their abominations=REVEALS Yahweh=to his people

 

LINE 10-13

THE COMING=Of YAHWEH REVELATION=to his people

 

In that day=JUDGMENT will be UPON EVERYONE

 

LINE 14-18

 

In that day=SHAME AND HORROR=will be upon them all

NO ONE WILL FIGHT=For Israel=NOT even their soldiers

 

Those in the field=Will be=KILLED BY THE SWORD

 

EVERYONE=will FACE CALAMITY=in their own way=

NO ONE=will escape it

 

Horror will cover them=SHAME ON EVERY FACE

 

LINE 19-22

MATERIAL BLESSINGS=will be of NO HELP

 

Silver and gold=Will NOT relieve them=from the wrath of God

 

RICHES got them into trouble=but CANNOT SAVE THEM

Ie.    SEXUAL IMPURITY=Likened to a woman’s menstruation

 

LINES 23-27

ALL HUMAN HELP=would fail

 

Ezekiel to make a CHAIN=for like CRIMINALS

 

The LAND=was full of crimes of blood

 

EXAMPLE=Symbolic act=Ezekiel to make a chain

EMBLEMATIC of captivity

 

The invaders=Would not be GOOD or righteous people

They would be the WORST KIND=of people=Worse than even

The Gentiles

 

NO PEACE TREATY would be coming=No peace treaty=to be found

DISASTER is coming

 

The people would be SEEKING GOD’s words=but NONE would be coming

 

They will get=WHAT THEY DESERVE

 

GOD’S PURPOSE=was NOT Israel’s pain=but wanting the people to

SEEK RESTORATION=and a RELATIONSHIP with Him(The Lord)

CAN WE BREAK GOD’S HEART

 

 

 

 

Can we

A mere mortal

Break God’s heart

 

I believe we can

And I believe it

Because of God’s unwavering love

for us

 

Only someone who you love

Can in fact

Brake your heart

And we are all

Children of God

And God loves us

With an infinite love

 

The Word of God

Is in fact spirit

And he wants us

To live

According to the fruits

Of that spirit

And these fruits

Are love, peace, joy, patience

Kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Gentleness, and self-control

 

He wants us

To live these qualities

And not lives of

Coldness, indifference, ingratitude, and rejection

Of him and those around us

 

But we are children of God

And like any loving parent

God forgives us

Over and over and over again

 

So what can we do

To earn God’s love and forgiveness

Nothing

 

All we can do

Is to strive to become better each and every day

And know God still loves us

 

WITH AN INFINITE LOVE

FORGIVENESS CALLS US=FROM DEATH

INTO LIFE

 

It is easy=To get BOGGED DOWN=with our sins=I KNOW I do=

But when we FORGIVE OTHERS=Our LORD of LOVE=and his Holy

Father God of love=FORGIVE us too=”So he got up=and WENT BACK to

HIS FATHER=While he was=STILL a long way off=His Father Caught sight

…….Ran……..and kissed him”                                                                                                  Luke 15:20

 

This reading is=From Luke 15=and from THE PRODIGAL SON=One

Of my most FAVORITE PASSAGES=of the Bible=and the New Testament=

It talks about=ONE LOST SHEEP=One Lost coin=and a LOST SON=

In search=of his FORGIVENESS=from his LOVING FATHER=Whom to

The Son’s SURPRISE=Finds FORGIVENESS=in his arms=We too

Can FIND FORGIVENESS=In the arms of our LOVING Father God=

Just like the PRODIGAL SON=Our Loving Father God and Jesus=always

FORGIVES=FORGIVENESS CALLS US=FROM DEATH INTO LIFE

 

“Then Jesus told them=This parable’=’Suppose one of you=Has a hundred sheep=

And LOSES one of them=Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine=in the open

Country=and go after the LOST SHEEP=until he FINDS IT?’”                                          Luke 15:3-4

 

And what about a lost coin?=It is the same way=as with the Lost sheep=

“’And when she FINDS it=She calls her friends and neighbors=Together and

Says’=’Rejoice with me=I have found my LOST COIN’”                                                           Luke 15:9

And what about that=LOST GRIEVING FATHER=When his SON RETURNS=

Our Father=just like OUR FATHER God=says about us=”Quick!=Bring the

Best robe=and put it on him=Put a ring on his finger=and sandals on his feet=

Bring the fattened calf=and kill it

 

Let’s have a feast=and CELEBRATE=For this son of mine was dead=and

IS ALIVE AGAIN=so They began to celebrate”                                                                   Luke 15:22-24

That is EXACTLY how the=Holy Father God treats us=WHEN we RETURN

To him=FORGIVENESS CALLS US=FROM DEATH INTO LIFE!=With the

Father God and His Son

 

The mystery and=THE AWESOME POWER=of forgiveness=Is just WAITING

For us=Our God Is just WAITING FOR US=Longing=getting ready to COME=

To run and kiss us=That is THE EVERLASTING LOVE=and forgiveness=of

Our Holy Father God=and his Son=Who calls us =and BRINGS US back to him=

FROM DEATH INTO LIFE!=Forgiveness is here

 

“The Lord God=made all kinds of trees=Grow out of the ground=Trees that

Were pleasing to the eye=and good for food=In the middle=of the garden were=

The tree OF LIFE=and the tree=Of the Knowledge of GOOD and evil”                        Genesis 2:9

“We know=That we have passed=FROM DEATH TO LIFE=because we love

Each other=Anyone who does not LOVE=remains in death”                                   1 John 3:14

 

We CANNOT HIDE=from our Holy Father God=Who knows us all too well=

He is=JUST WAITING for us=to return HOME to him=to BRING us back from

DEATH INTO LIFE!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER LOVING=ever living=FOREVER

Ac CHRISTIANS=we all

Have a few things to do

In this life

 

For one thing=we are

To KEEP PRAYED UP=

For another=we are to say and DO=

Act as GOD FOLLOWERS=Jesus following Christians

 

This is our job to do

UNTIL our very last=when God comes again=

Or until Jesus brings us HOME

 

“But to you WHO HEAR-I say……..”                                                                                     Luke 6:27

 

The sixth chapter of

Saint Luke’s gospel=is a HANDBOOK

For living the Christian life

 

In his Sermon=on the Plain

Jesus speaks

Of both blessings and woes=BEFORE

Telling us how to treat

Our neighbors

 

FOLLOWING THE MASTER

Until our very last days=of our life

 

Jesus INCLUDES such advice

As these

‘DO GOOD to those=who hate you=

PRAY for those who mistreat you’                                                                                             Luke 6:27-28

 

‘DO to others

As you would have them

DO TO YOU’”                                                                                                                                         Luke 6:31

 

FOLLOWING the master

At ALL TIMES=UNTIL

The very end of our life

 

“The student is

Not above the teacher=

Nor a servant=above HIS MASTER”                                                                                                  Matthew 10:24

 

“For sin=shall no longer

Be your MASTER

 

Because you are not under

The law=but under grace”                                                                                                                   Romans 6:14

 

“Those who cleanse themselves

From the latter-will be instruments

For special purposes

 

Made holy-useful to the MASTER=

And prepared

To do any good work”                                                                                                                 2 Timothy 2:21

 

Once upon a time=

I was on my deathbed=and

I made my final confession

To a Catholic Priest=I said

“To LIVE=for my family=

My friends=and ALL PEOPLE everywhere”                                                                        

 

I MEANT THOSE WORDS=

And I plan on

Keeping them=

UNTIL THE VERY LAST DAY

OF MY LIFE=
Until my Lord and Savior

Calls me back home

 

UNTIL that last day=

COMES for each of us

KEEP FOLLOWING THE MASTER

And one day=you will hear

THE MOST GLORIOUS WORDS

This side of PARADISE

 

“WELL DONE=good and FAITHFUL SERVANT”                                                                       Matthew 25:21

 

So remember chapter six=

Of Saint Luke’s gospel=and

KEEP FOLLOWING THE MASTER=

ALL the days of your life

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER LIVING-LOVING=God the HOLY FATHER!

IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT

 

 

 

 

 

In the still of the night

Is when it comes to mind

Of what has transpired

The memories of what I once was

The reality of what I am

And the flickering hopes of what I can still become

 

It isn’t easy to have so much taken away

To turn disaster into sun’s shining rays

When all the world keeps revolving

While your life is dissolving

And there’s not a kind word left at your door

There’s no time for understanding

The whole world is in a world

 

The whole world is in a hurry

But where they are going I cannot say

Me, I am going to take me time

After all, we are all going to die

 

You might as well take your time

And keep your goals and dreams in sight

Don’t get lost in that human cobweb

People will hurt you and leave you in a fright

 

I’ve lost many a battle in the last few years

But as long as I’m alive, I haven’t lost the war

I’ve lost many of my physical abilities

But I still got the talent to make me soar

And if my life ever becomes ground

On the hopes and dreams of which it was found

 

Baby, it will still be there in the still of the night

The most satisfying feeling

In this world

Is to

Help another human being

 

Because

It is

Not what happens to them

It is

What happens to us

We are

Transformed on the inside

 

Come to me

All you

Who are weary and heavy burdened

And I will give you rest

 

Help another human being

Help another soul

We are

Not in this alone

We are

A community of all

 

Take my yoke upon you

For my yoke is easy

And

My burden is light

 

The most satisfying feeling

In this world

Is to

Help another human being

 

For I am meek

And humble of heart

 

Help another human being

Help another soul

We are

Not in this alone

 

We are

A COMMUNITY OF ALL
