God made us=TO LOVE US=and for us=to love him back=

UNFORTUNATELY=many of us=Don’t do that=Or LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR

 

That is=THE FOUNDATION OF=OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH=to love God=and to

LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR=”So this is what=The Sovereign Lord says’=’See

I lay a stone=in Zion=a tested stone=a precious cornerstone=for a

SURE FOUNDATION=

The one who=Relies on it=will never be=Stricken with panic’”                        Isaiah 28:16

OUR HOLY FATHER GOD’S MERCY=He is just WAITING for us=to RETURN

To him=”Nevertheless=GOD’S SOLID FOUNDATION=stands firm=Sealed with

This inscription=’The Lord KNOWS those who are his’=and=’Everyone who

CONFESSES the name of the Lord=must TURN AWAY from wickedness’”  2 Timothy 2:19-20

 

It is TRUE=that God LOVES US=the way we are=but it is also true=that we NEED

To repent=and turn away from evil=and our sinful ways=Don’t REJECT Jesus=and

HIS LOVE and mercy=He CARRIED the CROSS=for all of us=and we need to REACH

To him for= that MERCY=by carrying our OWN CROSSES TOO=by following him=ANOTHER

FOUNDATION=Of OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH

 

And so today=MY BROTHERS and sisters=this LENT=let us EXAMINE=the ways

We have rejected God=Let us all LOVE God=and Love our Neighbor=and LIVE

THIS FOUNDATION of=the Christian faith”=”Test me Lord=and try me=EXAMINE

My heart=and my mind”                                                                                                                     Psalm 26:2

“I the Lord=search the heart=And EXAMINE the mind=to reward each person=

According to their conduct=According to=What their deeds deserve”                Jeremiah 17:10

 

And so dear Lord=as LENT=begins to close=WE ALL=turn back to you=Like

THE PRODIGAL SON=and we say=WE are sorry=for OUR SINS=and that we will

LOVE YOU=and all our BROTHERS and SISTERS=Forever in a day=THROUGH

Out=all of eternity=For that too is=THE FOUNDATION OF=THE CHRISTIAN FAITH!

        Faith is defined as TOTAL trust and reliance on God

        Outside of Jesus—2000 years ago—the one with the

        Most faith was Mary Magdalene—often called the apostle

        To the apostles

 

        Mary Magdalene was the first one to the tomb.  Not knowing

        That the gardener was Jesus, she said,  “Sir, if you carried him

        Away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him”

 

        Jesus said, “Mary,” and at once she recognized him

 

        She then went to the disciples with these words:

 

        “I have seen the Lord”

And seemingly---at least to me anyway

Getting more so every day

 

When were the last times

That you heard the words

“Please” and “Thank you”

 

I hear them

But NOT very often

 

“Turn my heart

Toward your statutes

And not toward selfish gain”                                       Psalm119:36

 

It seems like

That we live in a world

That tells us

Beauty/looks is what it is all about

 

BUT GOD TELLS US

That beauty is

A matter of the heart

 

Like the advertising slogan says

It really is

“What is inside that counts”

 

The world tells us

---preaches to us

That wealth, money, materialism

Will make us happy

And to get it

Whatever way we can

Just get it

 

“An unfriendly man

Pursues selfish ends

He defies all sound judgment”                                          Proverbs 18:1

 

Have you ever smiled

And said hello to a stranger

And they look at you

Like you just assaulted them

 

Or you do something kind

For someone

And they look at you

And wonder what your motivation is

 

When did our world

Become so cynical

What has happened to us

 

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition

Or vain conceit

But in humility

Consider others better than yourselves”                                     Philippians 2:3

 

And then

We have the people

Who live out of selflessness

Who give up their lives for others

To try to make the world

A better place for all

 

People like

Abraham, Moses, Jesus

And in more recent time

Men like Martin Luther King,

And John and Robert Kennedy

 

And just simple ordinary folks

Like you and me

Trying to live their lives

Trying to get along

But taking the time

To stop and be kind to others

 

We just need to remember,

 

“Each of you should look

NOT only to your own self interest

But also to the interests of others”                                                   Philippians 2:4

 

When we

As a nation/as a world

Begin to live

With a little less selfishness

And a little more selflessness

This world will begin to become

 

A BETTER PLACE

That we do RESPOND WITH THE PATIENT LOVE=Of our Holy Father God=and His

Son Jesus Christ=”I WAITED PATIENTLY=for the Lord=He turned to me=and heard

And so my FRIENDS=what challenges=What MOUNTAINS are you FACING=

In your life=right now?=You do not =HAVE to be afraid==For the Spirit of God=

THE SPIRIT OF LOVE=The POWER of the Almighty Father=and His SON=

Rests in you=and with you=WE CAN DO ANYTHING=When we KNOW=the

God of LOVE=Rests in us=and so does HIS POWER!

 

We are connecting with a POWER=Greater than us=We are NOT Jesus=Nor

One of his first apostles=But we are 21^st CENTURY APOSTLES=and disciples

Of Jesus Christ=and the Power of Jesus=and HIS FATHER=Moves in and with us=

“Yours Lord=is the Greatness=AND THE POWER=and the glory=and the splendor=

For everything

 

In heaven=and earth is yours=Yours Lord=is the kingdom=You are exalted as

Head over all”                                                                                                                          1 Chronicles 29:11

“Be strong and courageous=Do NOT be afraid or discouraged=Because of

The king of Assyria=and the vast army with him=For there is A GREATER POWER=

WITH US=than with him”                                                                                                    2 Chronicles 32:7

And so=MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS=We face many challenges=we FACE

Many mountains=in this life=But we can OVERCOME them=For our SUCCESS

Rests on=THE POWER of God=We can NAVIGATE those health issues=We can

WEATHER the financial crises=And we can ADJUST=to those RELATIONSHIP

Issues=WE CAN DO ANYTHING!=When we KNOW=The God of Love=LIVES

In us=and his power=”Jesus Replied’=You are in error=Because you do not know

The Scriptures=or the POWER OF GOD’”                                                                           Matthew 22:29

 

Dear brothers and sisters=We do NOT face our challenges=and OUR mountains

ALONE=We are fighting with=THE POWER of God=the power=OF LOVE

In Jesus’ name=and in the Name=of OUR ever loving=ever living=EVER

POWERFUL=Holy Father God!

THE TIMING OF GOD

Have you ever WONDERED

About the TIMING of God?=

His timing is different-

You may think you

NEED something right now

But you WAIT and wait=

Maybe God is HOLDING out

Something BETTER for you

“MY TIMES are

In your hands

Deliver me

From the hands 

Of my enemies

From those who pursue me”                                                                                    Psalm 31:15

Don't you EVER wonder

What God is waiting for

When you need something

Right NOW=when you need 

HELP in a certain situation

And it doesn't

Seem to be coming

The TIMING OF GOD

Is different=he wants

To USE YOU=and your life

The REVEAL

The power of God

“Sow righteousness for yourselves=

Reap the fruit

Of unfailing love

And break up

Your unplowed ground

For it is TIME

To seek the Lord

Until he comes

And showers his righteousness

On you”                                                                                                           Hosea 10:12

“For this was how

The promise was stated

At the APPROPRIATE TIME

I will return

And Sarah will have a son”                                                                                 Romans 9:9

“So Christ was sacrificed

Once=to take away

The sins of many

And he will reappear

A SECOND TIME

Not to bear sin

But to bring salvation

To those=

Who are waiting for him”                                                                                      Hebrews 9:28

The TIMING OF GOD

Is different=he may be

USING YOU 

To demonstrate

His POWER

To the many

You may be IN NEED

Of a miracle

And think God=has failed you 

If so=HOLD ON to

Your faith=and WAIT

What else=can you do?

It is POSSIBLE

That the Lord

Has PLANNED

An ever greater MIRACLE

For you 

One that BENEFITS YOU 

Glorifies God

And brings FAITH

To many=if not ALL OTHERS!

In the names of Jesus=and our ALL POWERFUL=ever living-loving FATHER!

God's TIMING=is RIGHT ON TIME

The other night

I had a dream

The dream was about

My worst sin

 

In my dream

I was

Trying to talk to Jesus

 

I kept running

In to Saint Peter

I kept

Running into

All the other Saints

 

Finally one day

St. Peter whispered into my ear

St. Peter said

Jesus said to tell you

“I forgot”

 

That’s our God

He knows all things

He forgave me

Without my even

Having to ask

 

That’s our God

The merciful God

That’s our God

The forgiving God

That’s our God

The loving God

 

That’s our God

Couldn’t we pass

That forgiveness on

To someone else

NOT WHAT WE WANT=BUT

(WHAT WE NEED)

 

WHEN we are TRAVELING through life=with God=Our Holy Father

God of LOVE=and his Son Jesus Christ=THE BEST=is always YET

To come=For our God=does NOT always give us=WHAT WE WANT=

At a given moment=BUT WHAT WE NEED=He HOLDS the best for later!=

“DO NOT sin any more=so that nothing worse MAY happen to you”                  John 5:14

 

I AM=If you guys=Don’t already know it=A FOOL for God=When I was

IN my 20’s=and IN the process=OF LOSING EVERYTHING=my health=

MY job and schooling=and a YOUNG WOMAN=I cared very much for=

 

I had to LEARN God’s way=He didn’t GIVE ME=what I wanted=But he gave me

WHAT I NEEDED=I had to learn to=LIVE GOD’S WAY=Not by what I

Wanted=but WHAT I needed=TO SURVIVE=Our Holy Father God=and HIS
SON=Always save what is BEST FOR LAST=NOT what we want=BUT

WHAT WE NEED!

 

“Do not=be like them=For your Father knows=WHAT YOU NEED=before you

Ask him”                                                                                                                                                  Matthew 6:8

“Share with the Lord’s people=WHO ARE IN NEED=Practice hospitality”   Romans 12:13

“And my God=Will meet=ALL YOUR NEEDS=According to the riches of his

Glory=In Christ Jesus”                                                                                                               Philippians 4:19

 

SOME people think=That God didn’t hear their prayers=But NOTHING could be

FURTHER from the truth=God and Jesus=Just didn’t think=It was=IN your

BEST INTEREST=to give you=WHAT YOU WANTED=at that time==but he gave you

WHAT YOU NEEDED=What I needed at that time=TO SURVIVE=We just NEED

TO TRUST God=a little more

 

When we have HEALTH issues=we want IMMEDIATE HEALING=I know I did=

And I KNOW=I wanted financial independence=and a woman=TO SHARE my

Life with=But God gave me=NONE of these things=I had to learn to=and

STILL DO=To TRUST God a little more=I know I have TOUCHED more people=and

Done more good=by TRUSTING GOD=and learning to LIVE WITHIN

 

NOT WHAT WE WANT=BUT WHAT WE NEED!=The BEST is yet to come=For

You and for me=Learn to TRUST our Holy Father GOD OF LOVE=and His Son

Jesus Christ=”TRUST in the Lord=and DO GOOD=dwell in the land=and enjoy

Safe pasture”                                                                                                                                          Psalm 37:3

“In that day=they will say’=’Surely this is our God=WE TRUSTED IN HIM=and he

Saved us=This is the Lord=WE TRUSTED in him=Let rejoice=and be glad in his

Salvation’”                                                                                                                                                 Isaiah 25:9

 

And so MY DEAR FRIENDS=If you aren’t getting what=YOU WANT=Turn to

And TRUST the Lord=Just a little bit more=You may NOT get what you want=But

You will=GET WHAT YOU NEED to survive=He will give you what=IS BEST FOR

YOU=The Lord our God=ALWAYS answers prayers

 

So brothers and sisters=TURN with me=To Jesus and HIS FATHER=and DIG

A LITTLE deeper INSIDE=Trust the Lord=and ACCEPT whatever comes your way=

THE BEST=IS YET TO COME!=It was for me

 

In Jesus’ name=and IN the name=of our ALWAYS TRUSTWORTHY God of LIFE=

And love=OUR ever living=ever loving Holy Father God
