Chapter 10=CHERUBIM AND WHEELS

 

The GLORY=and the Cherubim

 

Lines 1 and 2

 

THE VISION=Of GOD’S GLORY=at the TEMPLE

 

A SAPPHIRE STONE=Appeared ABOVE

The HEAD of the Cherubim

 

Like the VISION=In Ezekiel 1=Ezekiel saw something ABOVE

The CHERUBIM=Surrounding God’s THRONE

 

Cherubim=are GOD’S MIGHTY ANGELS

Above the ANGELS=was sky or space

 

The likeness of a THRONE=Like in Ezekiel 1

 

The MAN ABOVE=spoke with the man=CLOTHED IN LINEN

Ie.     Inkhorn

 

GOD COMMANDS=the man in LINEN=to SPREAD BURNING COALS

Around the city

 

LINES 3-5

The CLOUD=of God’s GLORY

 

Cherubim=on the SOUTH SIDE of the city=the OPPOSITE SIDE

From the ANGELS of Judgment

 

A CLOUD=In the inner court=was

THE GLORY OF GOD=often seen in=The OLD and NEW testaments=and called

Shekinah GLORY

 

You CANNOT=define the GLORY of God=but it was RADIANT

With GOD’S CHARACTER and PRESENCE

 

EXAMPLES         MOSES=Mary and Jesus  ( and the Holy Spirit)=

                                 Transfiguration=ASCENSION into heaven=and SECOND COMING

 

The same CLOUD=in all instances=Luke 2-27 and Revelation 1:7

 

The cloud of GLORY=above the TEMPLE=was ON THE MOVE

Like it was=LEAVING THE TEMPLE

 

WINGS of Cherubim=were loud and noisy=Like the VOICE of

The ALMIGHTY=when he speaks

 

LINES 6-8

THE FIRE=From above the wheels

 

THE JUDGMENT=was UPON Jerusalem=COMING from God Himself

DIVINE JUDGMENT=on Jerusalem

 

The man IN LINEN=went in=and stood by the WHEELS

 

The man IN LINEN=RECEIVED the fire=from the Cherub=Had Like a HAND

Under his wings

 

The man/ANGEL=could now SPREAD THE COALS=over the city

 

Lines 9-13

The WHEELS=by the Cherubim=were in=CONSTANT activity and motion

 

No chaos or disorder=could not move=side to side=but

WENT=only in the DIRECTION=the HEAD was facing

 

The wheels=were BERYL in color=EMERALD GREEN

 

IN CONNECTION=with the wheels

Ie.     Revelation 4:6

 

Line 14-17

THE FACES=Of the Cherubim

 

Each wheel=had FOUR FACES

Ie.  A lion=a man=a cherub=and an EAGLE

        Different than Ezekiel 1:10-14=River Chebar

 

THESE WHEELS DID NOT TURN

 

The wheels all MOVED=and were COORDINATED TOGETHER

 

They were so PERFECTLY COORDINATED=Ezekiel writes=

 

That the SPIRIT=of the LIVING CREATURE=Up above=had to

BE IN THEM!

 

LINES 18-19

 

The GLORY of God=and the Cherubim=were at the DOOR of the TEMPLE

 

The=GLORY OF GOD=moved from the TEMPLE=to the Cherubim

 

THE CHERUBIM=Lifted their wings=and mounted up=from the earth

 

The Glory of God=TRAVELED from=the Holy of HOLIES=to the Temple=and

Was NOW= at the Temple

 

AS=the GLORY of God moved=so did the Cherubim

They were moving AWAY=from the Temple

 

The GLORY OF GOD=The God of Israel=was MOVING AWAY

From the TEMPLE

 

LINES 20-22

 

THE CONNECTION=with the VISION=of the TEMPLE=was RECORDED=in

Ezekiel 1:1

 

Ezekiel KNEW=they were CHERUBIM=

Ezekiel 1 River Chebar

 

FINAL WORD

 

The CHERUBIM=went straight FORWARD

Demonstrating=THE IMPOSSIBLITY of

Thwarting God’s WILL=and God’s plan

 

OBJECT AND MISSION=was straight forward=AT ALL TIMES
