HE KNOWS=THE LONGINGS OF OUR HEART

 

HE KNOWS THE LONGINGS

OF OUR HEART

God KNOWS the longings

Of our heart

He knows that our DEEPEST WANT

Is to FIND HIM

And spend eternity

With him God-and his Son Jesus

LIVING in our heart

He KNOWS that we know

We are NOW his children

“Beloved-we are GOD'S CHILDREN now

What we shall be

Has not yet been REVEALED”                                                                         1 John 3:2

We live in a world of  UNCERTAINTY

Financial-social-physical-

And even scientific

The ONE thing that we can COUNT ON

The one thing

The ONE thing 

That we can be SURE of-

IS OUR GOD

We can count on him-

FOR we are his children

He LOVES US-like his very own

LIKE CHILDREN of God

“BLESSED are the peacemakers

For they will be called

CHILDREN of God”                                                                                          Matthew 5:9

“Yet to all-who did RECEIVE him

To those who BELIEVED

In his name

He gave the right

To become-CHILDREN of God

-Children born

Not of natural descent

Nor of human decision

Or a husband's will

But BORN OF GOD”                                                                                     John 1:12-13

YES-our God KNOWS

The LONGINGS of our heart

He knows-we want

To be his children

He KNOWS we want him

To LIVE in our heart

Yes-our BELOVED-our loving God

Knows the longings

Of our hearts

Scripture offers us

MANY promises and intimations

Of his CLOSENESS

Yes God LIVES

In our hearts-

We LONG for him-for

We ARE his children

“The Lord is CLOSE

To the brokenhearted

And SAVES those

Who are crushed in spirit”                                                                                   Psalm 34:18

“He tends his flock

Like a shepherd

He gathers the lambs

In his arms

And CARRIES them

CLOSE to his heart

He gently leads those

That have young”                                                                                                  Isaiah 40:11

MOST of us aren't aware

Of how dearly=GOD LOVES US

Of the close bond

Between him and I

We NEED constant reminders

And assurances-of just how much

God LOVES US

Just like the people of John's time

Who needed those SAME assurances

And reminders

GOD'S LOVE

Has been, “BESTOWED ON US”                                                                        1 John 3:1

Let us NOT forget this

And let us not forget-that-

We are his CHILDREN

And HE KNOWS

THE LONGINGS OF OUR HEARTS
