CHANGED INTO LOVE=LIKE HIM

 

CHANGED INTO LOVE LIKE HIM

I don't know about you

BUT I started out

Living in the flesh

DRIVEN by the goals that

The world and Madison Avenue

Tell us that we should have

Over time and through setbacks in life

I have been CHANGED

To be CLOSER to God and Christ

And well I know perfection 

Is IMPOSSIBLE

I have been changed into witnessing

For God and Christ

ENCOURAGED by God

Encouraged by Christ-every step

Of the way

And I am NOT looking backward

I don't miss

Living in the material world

Not one bit

“MAY our Lord Jesus Christ- 

Himself-

And God our Father

Who has loved us

And given us

Lasting encouragement and GOOD HOPE

Through his grace

ENCOURAGE your hearts

And strengthen them

In every good deed

And word”                                                                                    2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

No-I am going to KEEP

Moving forward until I am CHANGED

Into love itself-or at least

As CLOSE I can be

SURROUND yourself with Christ-

The tools of Christ-MASS-and other

CHRISTIAN services-and

Of course-THE BIBLE

I want to be changed-

Into love like him-

I HOPE you do too

BE and EXAMPLE of Christ- 

And a model for others in today's world

“I have set you an EXAMPLE

That you should do

As I have done for you

Very truly I tell you

NO SERVANT is greater

Than his master

Nor is a messenger

Greater than the one

Who sent him

NOW that you know these things

You will be BLESSED

If you do them”                                                                John 13:15-17

Dear Lord-Dear Jesus

SURROUND us with your love

INFILTRATE our hearts with love

Change us into love

Just like you-as we SURROUND ourselves

With godly people

And immerse ourselves in your book

THE HOLY BIBLE

“I am using an example

From everyday life

Because of your human limitations 

Just as you used

To offer yourselves

As slaves to impurity

And to ever-increasing wickedness

So now offer as slaves

To righteousness leading to holiness”                                                     Romans 6:19

Dear Lord

We TURN away

From this materialistic life

From this life of hedonistic lifestyles

To be with you 

To be GRATIFIED by your love

Dear Lord we HOPE & PRAY

That we are changed

By this prayer time to you 

By receiving you dear Lord

In the Eucharist

And by RECONCILIATION to you 

And to others

We HOPE-just like you-

That we show joy and happiness

In life 

By living in LOVING KINDNESS

To others-

In both deeds and words

We hope-to be CHANGED INTO LOVE

Just like you 

And though flawed

WE ask that you bring us

As close to PERFECT LOVE

As humanly possible
