I HAVE A HUNGER

 

 

I have a hunger

For the Word of God

I have a hunger

For the love of another

I have a hunger

To take what is wrong

And make it right

 

I don’t know

What makes me this way

Bu I hate injustice

And I just love fair play

 

I hate

That people are starving

I hate

That people can’t get medical care

I hate everything unjust

Why can’t we learn

To live in a world

Where people will share

 

I have a hunger

For the Word of God

I have a hunger

For the love of another

I have a hunger

To take what is wrong

And make it right

I have a hunger

ALL GOODNESS=COMES FROM GOD

There is SO MUCH EVIL=in this world=but there

IS ALL=KINDS OF GOODNESS=from our LOVING FATHER

God=and his Son=Jesus Christ=ALL GOODNESS=

COMES FROM GOD=”BLESSED are the POOR IN SPIRIT=

For theirs is=the Kingdom of heaven”                                                                                      Matthew 5:3

 

WHO are the POOR IN SPIRIT?=and are they of this

World=or the next?=Probably both=But this I do know=

We are NOT in control=of our own destinies=in this world

And=IF GOODNEES=finds us= in this world=it is ONLY by

THE GRACE=and the love=of the HOLY FATHER GOD=and

His SON Jesus Christ!=They are RESPONSIBLE for all of

Our Goodness=and all of our BLESSINGS=in this life

 

“He(Job replied)=’You are talking like=a foolish woman=Shall

We accept=GOOD FROM GOD=and not trouble?’”                                                          Job 2:10

 

“You Lord=are forgiving and GOOD=Abounding in love=to

All=Who call to you”                                                                                                                  Psalm 86:5

 

“A cheerful heart=IS GOOD MEDICINE=but a

Crushed spirit=dries up the bones”                                                                                         Proverbs 17:22

 

We are DEFINITELY NOT in control=of what happens to us=to

ALL the GOOD and bad=that happen to us=but I do BELIEVE

That ALL the good=that comes to us=is from OUR HOLY

Father God=and our Jesus=ALL GOODNESS=Comes from God!

 

I notice the GOOD things=that happen in MY LIFE=How about you?=

I definitely=DON’T take them for granted=I HOPE that you don’t either=

FEELING THE GRATITUDE=for all of my BLESSINGS=in this life=I

Certainly do=ALL GOODNESS=COMES FROM GOD=Our Father

And our Jesus=Feel the GOODNESS=COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!

 

“I will make them=and the places surrounding my hill=

A BLESSING=I will send down showers in season=there

Will be=SHOWERS OF BLESSING”                                                                                             Ezekiel 34:26

 

“BLESSINGS crown the head=of the righteous=but violence

Overwhelms=the mouth of the wicked”                                                                                            Proverbs 10:6

 

So COUNT=all the blessings=YOUR BLESSINGS=in this world=

It is just NOT= a normal thing=All people don’t have HEALTH=

Food=a home=LOVED ONES=and a FAMILY and friends=ALL=

GOOD THINGS=COME FROM GOD!=The goodness of our

LOVING HOLY FATHER GOD=and Jesus

 

“A GOOD MAN=brings good things=out of THE GOOD

Stored up=in him=and an evil man brings our=evil things=

Out of the evil=stored up=in him”                                                                                         Matthew 12:35

 

“No one=should seek=THEIR OWN GOOD=but

THE GOOD OF OTHERS”                                                                                                                  1 Corinthians 10:24

 

“…….being confident of this=That he who began=

A GOOD WORK=in you=Will carry it on to completion

Dear Lord=we pray to you=and give you THANKS=for

ALL THE GOODNESS=and all of our BLESSINGS=come

From you=We thank you for your PRESENCE=and

You=That EVERY LIFE=TELLS A STORY too=Of our Holy Father God’s

And Jesus’ LOVE

 

For every life=IS A GIFT FROM GOD=every life should TELL

The STORY=of how God has HELPED THEM=along through

The difficult times and disappointments of life=every life

SHOULD TESTIFY=to the fact=Of how God and Jesus=

TOUCHED THEIR LIVES=ever life=TELLS A STORY=all love

COMES from=The Holy Father God=and from Jesus Christ=and

ALL our blessings too=let us face it

 

“The Lord God=made al kinds of trees=grow out of

The ground--------=Trees that were pleasing to the eye=and

Good for food=In the middle of the garden were=the tree=

OF LIFE=and the tree=of the knowledge of good and evil”                                           Genesis 2:9

 

HOPEFULLY=we are using OUR LIVES=for God=HOPEFULLY=we are

ALL LIFE=all love=all good BLESSINGS come from the life

And love of=THE ETERNALLY LIVING Holy Father God=and his Son

Jesus Christ=so testify=SO WITNESS with your life=for every life

Yours and mine=tells a story=ABOUT OUR GOD The Father and

His Son Jesus!

EVERY LIFE=TELLS A STORY=OF OUR GOD’S LOVE!

 

“ONE WITNESS=is not enough=to convict anyone accused of

An y crime=or offense=they may have committed

 

A matter must be established=by the TESTIMONY=of two

Or three WITNESSES”                                                                                                                         Deuteronomy 19:15

 

THE HOLY FATHER’S LOVE=TESTIFIES=tells the story of

HIS LOVE=that through him=he sent his ONLY SON to=

LIVE AND to die=and to RESURRECT for us=and conquer

All sin=The SACRIFICIAL LOVE=of Jesus Christ and his Father=and

THE SPIRIT OF GOD=tells the STORY=of how much our God

LOVES US!

 

And so do ALL of our lives=IF we are true believers=In God and Jesus

And the SPIRIT OF TRUTH=of our loving God the Father!

EVERY LIFE=TELLS A STORY=Of God and Jesus’ love=if we

ARE BELIEVERS!

 

“Many are the woes=of the wicked=but the Lord’s

UNFAILING LOVE=surround the one=who trusts in him”                                                     Psalm 32:10

 

“But God=demonstrates=his own LOVE=for us=in this=

While we were still sinners=Christ died for us”                                                                    Romans 5:8

 

And so my dear FRIENDS=keep on demonstrating your LOVE

For the Holy Father God=and for Jesus Christ=for your life=for

EVERY LIFE=TELLS A STORY=of God’s love for you=for me=and

FOR ALL OF HUMANITY

EVERY LIFE=tells a story

 

“And now=these three remain=faith=hope= and LOVE=but the

I just FINISHED up=my third hospitalization=in

The last SEVEN MONTHS=totaling about 28 days=

But I am NEVER giving up=never giving in=for I AM

Just riding=ON THE COAT TAILS=riding on the CROSS

Of Jesus=and his STRENGTH

 

Just riding ON THE STRENGTH=of the Lord=just riding

ON THE CROSS=Of the Lord=No matter how much

SUFFERING Jesus experienced=He kept going=He

KEPT PERSEVERING=I hope I can do it too=Maybe I can=IF

Our Holy Father God=and Jesus=CONTINUE TO CARRY ME

 

“He shielded him=and cared for him=He guarded him=as

The apple=of his eye=like an eagle=that stirs up=

Its nest=and hovers over its young=that spreads its wings=

To catch them=AND CARRIES THEM ALOFT”                                                     Deuteronomy 32:10-11

 

“And whoever=DOES NOT CARRY=their cross=and

Follow me=Cannot be my disciple”                                                                             Luke 10:27

 

“CARRY each other’s burdens=and in this way=you

Will fulfill=the law of Christ”                                                                                     Galatians 6:2

 

Jesus was=THE LORD=is the LORD of us all=and is

THE PERFECT EXAMPLE=of strength and grace=and the model

For SUFFERING=He taught us=HOW to do it=with DIGNITY=He

Is MY EXAMPLE=He is my HERO=Just trying to CARRY MY CROSS=as

BEST as I can=RIDING on his coat tails=the coattails of the CROSS

 

RIDING on the LORD’S STRENGTH=trying to FOLLOW the LORD’S

EXAMPLE=as best as I can

 

“Whoever does not=take UP THEIR CROSS=and follow me=is

Not worthy of me=Whoever finds their life=will lose it=and

Whoever loses their life for my sake=will find it”                                                                Matthew 10:38

 

“May I never boast=EXCEPT in the CROSS of our Lord=Jesus

Christ=through which the world=has been crucified to me=and I

To the world”                                                                                                                                        Galatians 6:14

 

And so my friends=MY dear brothers and sisters=of

Our LORD JESUS CHRIST=whatever YOUR CROSSES ARE=

Keep on FINDING YOUR STRENGTH=in the Lord=keep on fighting

Keep on RELYING=on the Lord Jesus Christ=HIS STRENGTH=will

Pull you through

 

He will CARRY you=through the CROSSES of your life=Hang on

To his strength=hang on to HIS COAT TAILS=Just RIDING=on

THE CROSS=of our Lord=and his strength

 

“It is God=who arms me=WITH STRENGTH=and

Keeps my way secure”                                                                                                     2 Samuel 22:33

 

“This day=is holy to our Lord=Do not grieve for the joy=

Of the Lord=is YOUR STRENGTH”                                                                                    Nehemiah 8:10

 

So my friends=whatever YOUR CROSSES=Hold

On to the LORD=with all OF YOUR STRENGTH=and keep

RIDING THE COATTAILS=the crosses of our Lord Jesus Christ

HE is our EXAMPLE=he is OUR STRENGTH

21^st century apostles=our JOB IS=to KEEP

REACHING OUT=to others=KEEP BRINGING GOD

To others=in this world

 

For Our Holy Father God=Our Jesus=and the disciple

Barnabas=whose feast it is TODAY=all did this=WE CELEBRATE

Barnabas today=He always TRIED to do GOOD=to BRING

GOD’S LOVE and work to others=This is our job too=to

BE LIKE BARNABAS=”……..they sent Barnabas=to go to Antioch=

When he arrived=and saw the GRACE OF GOD=he rejoiced=

AND ENCOURAGED THEM ALL……”                                                                                        Acts 11:22-23

 

Barnabas=always tried to HELP OTHERS=always tried

TO REACH OUT TO OTHERS=and bring them=what he could=

He TRIED=to help other Christians!

 

Barnabas SOLD=his valuable farmland=and GAVE the proceeds

To the EVER EXPANDING Faithful community=CONSTANTLY

Helping others=Constantly encouraging others=Constantly

REACHING OUT TO OTHERS!=it is our job too=to ENCOURAGE

OTHERS=Just like Barnabas=REACHING OUT FOR OTHERS!

 

“You Lord=hear the desire=of the afflicted=YOU ENCOURAGE THEM=

And you=listen to their cry”                                                                                                             Psalm 10:17

 

“Judas and Silas=who themselves=were prophets=said much

TO ENCOURAGE=and strengthen the believers”                                                                       Acts 15:32

 

“THEREFORE ENCOURAGE one another=with

These words”                                                                                                                                  1 Thessalonians 4:18

 

Barnabas=was constantly=REACHING OUT FOR OTHERS!=His

Name was Joseph=but he did so much=GAVE so much of

Himself=HIS FRIENDS=changed his name=to Barnabas=which

Means=”SON OF ENCOURAGEMENT”=Acts 4:36

 

That is our job too=TO REACH OUT=and do GOOD=just

Like Barnabas=HELPING our dear brothers and sisters

 

Let us UPLIFT=INSPIRE=and encourage others=just

Like Barnabas=did=and bring others=to THE FAITH=like

He did there too=GREAT SAINTS AND APOSTLES in this world

Keep=REACHING OUT FOR OTHERS=Just like Barnabas did

It is our job too!

 

“But the one=who prophesies=speaks to people= for

Their strengthening=ENCOURAGING=and comfort”                                                             1 Corinthians 14:3

 

“And let us consider=How we may spur=one another on=

Toward love and good deeds=Not giving up meeting together=

As some are in the habit of doing=BUT ENCOURAGING ONE

ANOTHER-------=and all the more=as you see the DAY approaching”                           Hebrews 10:24-25

 

And so my dear brothers and sisters=KEEP REACHING OUT

FOR OTHERS=Just like Barnabas=it is our job too=TO

ENCOURAGE OTHERS=and bring God’s love=goodness and

Forgiveness=to this world

 

I have a friend named Nicholis=who calls himself=the “ENCOURAGEANAIRE”

Taking the name after Barnabas=who tries to help others=Let us

TRY AND HELP OTHERS too=Just like Our Barnabas

 

So keep ENCOURAGING=keep REACHING OUT TO OTHERS=to

Help others=in this modern day world=that we LIVE IN=it is

Our job too=REACHING OUT FOR OTHERS!

 

In Jesus name=and in the name=of our ever loving=ever LIVING=ever ENCOURAGING

And ever good=HOLY FATHER GOD!

GOD SENDS MERCY AND KINDNESS

(To each and ALL OF US)

 

There are TWO THINGS=that I am SURE OF=in

This world=First of all=I KNOW we are all sinners

In this world

 

SECOND=I know=GOD SENDS MERCY AND KINDNESS=and

His love and forgiveness=to all of us=THROUGH HIMSELF=and

Also through his SON=Jesus Christ=Living ON GOD’S MERCY=God

SENDS MERCY AND KINDNESS=to EACH and EVERY ONE

Of us=”Out of the depths=I CRY to you=O lord”                                                                        Psalm 130:1

 

“IF YOU LORD=kept a record of sins=Lord=

Who could stand?”                                                                                                                           Psalm 130:3

 

“But with you=THERE IS FORGIVENESS=so that we can

With reverence=serve you”                                                                                                                    Psalm 130:4

 

WHERE would I be?==Wheer would you be=Without GOD’S

MERCY=and kindness=in this world?=For we ALL do some things

WRONG=even if it is=ONLY IN THOUGHT

 

We have all experienced some DISAPPOINTMENTS in this life=

Some illness=LOSS THROUGH DEATHS=addictions=losing our careers=

And all kinds of OTHER SETBACKS=in this world

 

But with EACH DISAPPOINTMENT=GOD SENDS HIS MERCY=God

Sends his kindness=and his LOVE AND FORGIVENESS=to us

To get us through=FOR EACH=and everyone of us

 

“Remember Lord=Your GREAT MERCY AND LOVE=for

They are from of old”                                                                                                                           Psalm 25:6

 

“IN HIS LOVE AND MERCY=he redeemed them=He

Lifted them up=and carried them=all the days of old”                                                                   Isaiah 63:9

 

“And what does the Lord=require of you?=To act justly=

AND TO LOVE MERCY=and to walk humbly=with your God”                                            Micah 6:8

 

The GREAT THING=about our lives=Is that no matter

Who we are=NO MATTER what we have done=no matter

What we will ever do=in this LIFE=is that

 

OUR GOD SENDS MERCY AND KINDNESS=for each of us

For all of us=OUR God is a God of love=kindness=and FORGIVENESS

For all of us

 

“Yet he has=Not left himself=without testimony=He has

SHOWN KINDNESS=by giving you rain=from heaven=and crops

In their seasons=He provides you=with plenty of food=and

Fills your hearts with joy”                                                                                                                     Acts 14:17

 

“But the fruit=of the Spirit=is love=joy=peace=forbearance=

KINDNESS=goodness=faithfulness=gentleness=and self-control=

Against such things=there=is no law”                                                                                                 Galatians 5:22

The incomparable riches=Of his grace=Expressed in HIS KINDNESS

Dear Lord=we PRAY=that you keep SENDING US your MERCY

Everyone knew=Jesus was=MEANT FOR BIGGER

THINGS!

 

What was he doing at 12?=He was LOST=from his parents

IN THE TEMPLE=Or so thought Mary and Joseph=but

He was=Just TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS!=for Jesus

KNEW=he was called=By his Father=The Holy LIVING

FATHER GOD!=”WHY=were you looking for me?=Did you

Not know=That I must be=IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE?”                                                                 Luke 2:49

 

Jesus was called=FOR BIGGER THINGS=by his Father=

All along=from his NATIVITY BIRTH=until his death=

Everyone knew that=Jesus was=MEANT FOR BIGGER

THINGS!=but don’t lose sight=of the fact=that SO ARE WE=

Meant for bigger things=NOT LIKE JESUS!=but as FOLLOWERS

Of Jesus=We are MEANT for bigger things too!=WE BELONG

To Jesus=we are HIS=and the HOLY FATHER GOD”S

MEANT FOR BIGGER THINGS TOO!=we BELONG to them

 

“The secret things=BELONG to the Lord=Our God=but

The things revealed=BELONG TO US=and our children forever=

That we may follow=All the words=of this law”                                                                      Deuteronomy 29:29

 

“Dominion and awe=BELONG TO GOD=He establishes

Order=In the heights of heaven”                                                                                              Job 25:2

 

“The nobles=of the nations=Assemble as the people

Of the God of Abraham=for the kings of the earth=

BELONG TO GOD”                                                                                                                                   Psalm 47:9

 

Jesus was=MEANT FOR BIGGER THINGS!=from birth

And he FULFILLED=every one of them=every single one=

He is=THE ONLY GOD-MAN=of this life=He and the HOLY
FATHER GOD=are the CENTERS=of this UNIVERSE=but

DO NOT lose sight=of the fact=that we are=MEANT FOR

BIGGER THINGS TOO!=For we BELONG to Jesus and

The Holy Father God=THE GODS OF LOVE=We are

MEANT=for bigger than things too!

 

For we are=CALLED FROM OUR BAPTISM=to be

BEYOND THE ORDINARY!=We are called to BE CHRISTIANS!

And to=THE FULLNESS OF LIFE=Just like our Jesus=and

HIS HOLY FATHER GOD!=we are CALLED to love God=above

Ourselves=and to love all others=MEANT FOR=BIGGER THINGS=if

We BELONG to Christ Jesus=and to HIS FATHER!

 

“And you also=are among those Gentiles=who are called

TO BELONG TO JESUS CHRIST”                                                                                                Romans 1:6

 

“if we live=We live for the Lord=and if we die=we die

For the Lord=So whether we live or die=WE BELONG to

The Lord”                                                                                                                                              Romans 14:8

 

We are HUMAN BEINGS=we have LIVES=but our

Lord Jesus=and OUR HOLY FATHER GOD=know this too

 

But never forget=as a FOLLOWER=and disciple of Jesus

Christ=YOU/I=were MEANT FOR SOMETHING BIGGER!=just

Like our Master Teacher Jesus=and His Father!

 

So my friends=TAKE THE WORD OF GOD=the WORD OF LOVE

To everyone=that you meet=EVERYONE that you can=and

OUR LORD Jesus=will say=”There goes my ‘SERVANT’=He

Has been called=’TO DO MY BUSINESS’”

You were=MEANT FOR SOMETHING BIGGER=just

JUST LIKE ME

A father should be

A source of inspiration

For his child

 

A father should try

To be a sign of

Love, honesty, and hope

 

A father should be

Fun to be with

For his child

 

A father should be

A disciplinarian

For his child-when he has to be

 

A father should know

That more than

The material things

He brings his family

It’s the intrinsic values

That he teaches children

That are most important

 

A father should know

He will fall short

From time to time

 

Most of all

A father should know

That we love him

No matter what

And it is up to his children

To tell him so
