GOD WANTS YOU TO BE HAPPY
GOD wants you
To be totally happy
That is-FOR SURE
But he may differ
On what he thinks
Might bring about your happiness
He wants you
To FIND your happiness (your joy)
in him
NOT IN
The things of this world
As a matter of fact
JOY-another word for happiness
Is one of the FRUITS
Of the spirit
“BUT the fruit of the spirit
Is love-joy (happiness)-
Peace-patience-kindness-
Goodness-faithfulness-
Gentleness-and self-control
Against such things
There is no law” Galatians 5:22-23
“IF you do these things
HAPPY are you
IF you do them” John 13:17
God wants you
To be happy
HE REALLY DOES
Are you currently happy?
YES-NO-or it depends
IF you are
HAPPY in the Lord
Nothing external to you
Can make you unhappy
You can be unhappy
In things or situations
Going on
In your life
But you can still be happy
In the Lord
And in life
“But may the righteous
Be glad
And rejoice before God
May they be happy
And joyful” Psalm 68:3
“A happy heart
Makes the face CHEERFUL
But heartache
Crushes the spirit” Proverbs 15:3
And nothing
Crushes the spirit
Like trying to find happiness
In the wrong things
Things-material possessions
Won't make you happy
Addictions
Won't make you happy
LUST-sexual perversion
Won't make you happy
GOD KNOWS
All of this
So he wants you
To turn to him
God wants you
To be happy
God wants you
To find your joy
IN HIM
“I have told you this
So that my JOY
May be in you
And your joy
May be COMPLETE
MY command is this:
LOVE each other
As I have loved you
Greater love
Has no one than this
That he lay down his life
For his friends” John 15-11-13
God wants you
To be happy
And the ironic thing is this:
You can only find happiness
In giving yourself away
To a cause
GREATER than yourself
Love God and truly love others
And you will find TRUE HAPPINESS
