PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER=GET JESUS’ ATTENTION=

He Hears YOU!

 

There are=at least 35 MIRACLES=WORKED by Jesus=In the GOSPEL of THE NEW

Testament=But I am SURE=Many more were WORKED=By Jesus=In fact=John the EVANGELIST=

Tells us as much=”Jesus Performed=MANY OTHER SIGNS=In the presence of=His Disciples=

Which are NOT recorded=in this book”                                                                                                  John 20:30

But the miracle=RECORDED TODAY=Not only took great faith=It took EXTREME PERSEVERENCE=

PERSIST to the LORD=In prayer=He HEARS=and it GETS JESUS’ ATTENTION=”OH woman=

Great is YOUR FAITH=Let it BE DONE=For you as you wish”                                                 Mathew 15:28

 

This woman today=shows GREAT PERSISTENCE=In REQUESTING Jesus=to heal her DAUGHTER=

She FACES=OVERWHELMING ODDS against her=She was a Canaanite woman=She was foreign=

A NON-JEWISH PERSON=and she CONTACTED Jesus=and his apostles=WHILE ON VACATION=

PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER!=Jesus hears=and SOMETIMES He acts=Just like today=”And let us=

Run WITH PERSEVERANCE=The race =marked out for us=Fixing our eyes on Jesus=The pioneer and

Perfecter of Faith”                                                                                                                                     Hebrews 12:1-2

“Consider it=PURE JOY=MY brothers and sisters=Whenever you face trials=Of many kinds=

Because you know=That the TESTING of your Faith=PRODUCES PERSEVERANCE=Let Perseverance=FINISH its work=So that you=May be mature and complete……..”    James 1:2-4

“You have PERSEVERED=and have endured hardships=For my name=and have NOT

Grown weary”                                                                                                                                          Revelation 2:3

 

The APOSTLES Advise Jesus=to IGNORE this woman=and at first Jesus does=Jesus tells Her=

He has ONLY come=for the JEWISH NATION=and even becomes HARSH with her=He replies=

“It is NOT RIGHT=To take the children’s bread=and toss it=TO THE DOGS”           Matthew 15:26

But this WOMAN=talks back=She PERSISTS=”Yes it is Lord=Even the DOGS=eat the crumbs=

That FALL from their master’s table”                                                                                           Matthew 15:27

Talk ABOUT PERSISTENCE=In prayer=She was NOT taking no=FOR an answer=She PLEADS=

For her daughter’s HEALING=whom she BELIEVES=is Demon=possessed=PERSISTENCE IN

PRAYER=Gets Jesus’ ATTENTION=and He hears=at least it does here=and he FULFILLS the

Daughter’s request

 

Dear Lord=Today we PRAY to your FOR COURAGE=The courage to PERSIST and persevere=to

You IN PRAYER=as we KEEP in mind=THE GREAT MIRACLES you have FULFILLED=Particularly of

The Canaanite woman

“I will FULFILL MY VOWS=to the Lord=In the presence of=ALL his people”                          Psalm 116:14

“A LONGING FULFILLED=is Sweet to the soul=But fools detest Turning from evil”        Proverbs 13:19

“Let no debt=Remain outstanding=Except the continuing debt=to LOVE one another=For

Whoever loves others=Has FULFILLED THE LAW”                                                                             Romans 13:8

Dear Lord=we come to you=IN LOVE=and in FAITH=and in/with PERSISTENCE OF PRAYER=

And PLEAD for you=to HEAR our prayer petitions=as you did=For the CANAANITE woman!=and

Her daughter=PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever LIVING=ever loving=ever ANSWERER of PRAYERS

HOLY FATHER GOD!
