A DEVOTED WOMAN=OF FAITH!

(We SHOULD all BE=An ANNA)

 

Do you KNOW=who Anna was=IN THE BIBLE?=In Chapter 2=Of Luke’s GOSPEL=

Luke tells the story=Of Anna=”She NEVER LEFT the temple=But worshiped=

Night and day=With fasting and PRAYER”                                                                                        Luke 2:37

 

Luke also tells us=Anna was a prophet=and very old and TINY and Frail=and probably=

Had A SPIRIT OF GOD in her=That never quit=She was CLEARLY=a woman of FAITH=In

The Holy Father God=Like we ALL=should be=TRUSTING and faithful like Anna was!=

A DEVOTED WOMAN OF FAITH!

“IF you DEVOTE=Your heart to him=and stretch out=Your hands to him……..”      Job 11:13

“I will bring him near=and he will come close to me=--------For who is he=WHO

WILL DEVOTE=Himself to be=To be close to me?”                                                            Jeremiah 30:21

“DEVOTE yourselves to prayer=Being watchful and thankful=And PRAY for us too=

That GOD may open a door=For our message=So that we may proclaim=The mystery of

Christ=For which I am in chains”                                                                                                Colossians 4:2

 

OVER THE YEARS=I have probably KNOWN at least=Ten or more ANNA’S=from

My churches=DEVOTED WOMEN of faith and trust=IN their ways=They were always

IN CHURCH PRAYING=Taking care of others=as CAREGIVERS=Answering phones=selling

Raffle tickets=and taking COMMUNION=to the shut=ins=And one of them BETTY D==is

RESPONSIBLE=for one of MY GREAT DEVOUT LIFETIME FRIENDS=in my life=WE SHOULD ALL

BE Like Anna=A DEVOTED WOMAN=OF FAITH IN GOD!

 

“Until I come=DEVOTE YOURSELF=To the Public reading of Scripture=to preaching and to

Teaching”                                                                                                                                                     1  Timothy 4:13

“THEY DEVOTED THEMSELVES=to the apostles’ teaching=and to fellowship=to the breaking

Of bread=and to PRAYER”                                                                                                                   Acts 2:42

“BE DEVOTED=to one another in LOVE=Honor one another above yourselves”         Romans 12:10

EVERY parish=EVERY CHURCH=has Those DEVOTED WOMEN like Anna=ALWAYS in

Church=Always  in their pews=PRAYING for someone else=They answer the PHONES=

In the rectory=SOMETIMES=they are WIELDING the collection baskets=Putting the

FLOWERS on the altar=EVEN distributing communion=They do whatever is NECESSARY!=Anna

Was a=DEVOTED WOMAN of faith and trust=and WE SHOULD ALL =be an ANNA=a

DEVOTED woman or man of FAITH!

 

“And you=My son Solomon=Acknowledge the God=of your Father=and serve him with=

WHOLEHEARTED DEVOTION=and with a willing mind=For the  LORD searches EVERY HEART=

And understands =Every desire and every thought”                                                          1 Chronicles 28:9

It is ALWAYS= a wonderful time=TO PAY TRIBUTE=to a BLESSED Woman or man of

God=who give PRICELESS GIFTS=to their Church and to their world!

 

NO CHURCH can run=WITHOUT WOMEN and men like Anna=and for the FAITH=and  for

THE TRUST=and LOVE=to the LORD Jesus Christ and THE HOLY FATHER GOD!=We should

ALL be an ANNA=A DEVOTED PERSON OF FAITH!

 

In Jesus’ name=and IN the name of=our Forever living Forever loving=FOREVER DEVOTED
