YOU CAN BE=A LIVING WITNESS TOO

 

Today WE CELEBRATE=The First WITNESS=Who died for Jesus=and the

CAUSE=He SIGNED UP to be=A FOLLOWER of Jesus and=THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY=

He was called a DEACON=and his NAME was Stephen=and he was KILLED=by

An angry mob=”On my ACCOUNT=You will be brought before governors=and kings=

AS WITNESSES to them=and the Gentiles”                                                                                         Matthew 10:18       

 

THE PROBABILITY for us=Is that we never will be=A DYING MARTYR for the FAITH=

As Saint Stephen was=and the other APOSTLES were=But you and I =CAN BE=

A LIVING WITNESS=For Christ =and his SPIRIT=and the HOLY FATHER GOD!=We

Can TESTIFY for=THE GOD OF LOVE=With our Words=our deeds=and  our actions=

IN today’s world=You can be=A LIVING WITNESS TOO!=

“ONE WITNESS=is not enough=to convict anyone=Accused of a crime=or offense=

That they may have committed=A matter=Must be established=By the testimony=of

Two or three WITNESSES”                                                                                                               Deuteronomy 19:15

“But you will receive power=When the Holy Spirit=Comes on you=and you will be=

MY WITNESSES=In Jerusalem=and in all Judea and Samaria=and to the ends of=

The earth”                                                                                                                                                       Acts 1:8

We are to be WITNESSES=Modern day CHRISTIAN APOSTLES=for as long as=Our TIME

On earth permits=YOU CAN BE=A LIVING WITNESS TOO!

 

The Greek word “martyr” means “WITNES”=It means ONE=who testifies to THE TRUTH=In WORD=

In deed=and with EVERY FIBER=of our being=That is what YOU/ME=all of us are to  do=MY

Dear SISTERS AND BROTHERS=That is what Jesus did==ON behalf of HIS FATHER=and that

IS what Saint Stephen did=and for us to BE=Modern day apostles of Jesus Christ=That is

WHAT we must do  too=JUST Listen to Saint Stephen’s TESTIMONY=”While=they were STONING

HIM=Stephen prayed=”’Lord Jesus=RECEIVE my spirit’=Then he fell on his knees=and cried

Out=’Lord do NOT hold this sin=against them’=When he said this=HE FELL ASLEEP”      Acts 7:59-60

 

This is the HOLY SPIRIT=of our God=of our Lord Jesus=and the FATHER=At work=From PENTECOST=All the way to you and me TODAY=You and me=WE CAN BE=LIVING WITNESSES

TOO!=Dear Lord=We your APOSTLES=In this the 21^st century=Ask for a RENEWING=Of the

Spirit of God=In today’s world=and we ask for=THAT SAME COURAGE AND FAITH=That Saint

Stephen had=”Create in me=a pure heart=Oh God=and RENEW a steadfast spirit=

Within me”                                                                                                                                                               Psalm 51:10

“Do not conform=to the pattern=Of this world=But be transformed=BY THE RENEWING=

Of your mind”                                                                                                                                              Romans 12:2

Dear Lord=We pray=FOR THE COURAGE AND CONVICTION=That Saint Stephen had=and we

PRAY FOR=THE SPIRITUALITY and the STRENGTH=to be your LIVING WITNESSES=In  today’s

World=TO PROCLAIM=the Word of God=In TRUTH=In love=and in mercy!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER MERCIFUL=ever living and loving=Holy

Father God!
