NOT SELF-RELIANCE=BUT UNITY WITH GOD

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NOT SELF-RELIANCE=BUT UNITY=WITH GOD

 

So MANY OF US=Think we are self-made MEN OR WOMEN=That We

Made SUCCESSES=OUT of our lives=With no HELP from God=or

From anyone else=I humbly=think=this is=A BOD FACED LIE=For none

Of us=Not any single one of us=CAN do it alone=”Just as a branch=

CANNOT Bear fruit=On its own=Unless it remains=ON THE VINE=so

Neither can you=UNLESS you remain in me”                                                      John 15:4

 

NO self reliant thinking here=EVERYTHING in my life=Has been a BLESSING=

Or gift from God=or my IMMEDIATE=and or EXTENDED family and friends=

DEPENDING on God=Depending on others=and FINDING UNITY=with the God

OF LOVE=and Jesus Christ

 

NO MATTER=how STRONG in faith=that we are=NONE OF US=can do it alone=

IF you put too much pressure=ON YOURSELF=You will eventually cave=Our Holy Father

God and his Son Jesus=LIFT US=and sustain us=ALONG THE WAY=They left us=

With the Holy Spirit of God=OUR CHURCH=and the apostles and saints=And our

MODERN DAY=Christian 21^st century apostles=to HELP US=along the way too=

NO self-relying here=RELYING ON Him=you=and this HOLY SPIRIT of our God

 

“And the things=You have heard me say=In the presence of many witnesses=Entrust

To RELIABLE PEOPLE=Who will also=Be qualified to teach others”                             2 Timothy 2:2

“The Son=is the radiance=Of God’s glory=and the exact representation=of his

Being=SUSTAINING all things”                                                                                                      Hebrews 1:3

 

God tells us today=IN THE SCRIPTURES=That faith in the world=success in the

World=Is not about=RELYING ONESELF=That any fruit=ANY touching of others=

In this world=IS not from ourselves=It comes from=UNIFYING with the Lord=and

DRAWING ON=the Lord’s strength

 

“For if we=have been=UNITED WITH HIM=In a death like his=We will certainly also=

BE UNITED WITH HIM=In a resurrection like his”                                                                 Romans 6:5

“Therefore=If you have any encouragement=From being UNITED WITH CHRIST=

If any comfort from his love=If any common sharing=in the Spirit=If any tenderness=

And compassion=Then make my joy complete=By being like-minded=Having the same

Love=Being one in spirit=Of the mind”                                                                                          Philippians 2:1-2

 

THE SUSTENANCE=of our life=is not self-reliance=but it comes from=A UNITY=

With the Father=and his Son=Let us MEET with them today=and with THE
SPIRIT=Of our God=Not standing alone=but standing on THE BRIDGES=of who

And What came before us=RELYING on God and Jesus=Relying on their WORD=

And their guidance

 

“GUIDE me in your truth=and teach me=For you are God my Savior=and my hope=

Is in you=all day long”                                                                                                                             Psalm 25:5

“The Lord will=GUIDE you always=He will satisfy your needs=In a sun-scorched land=

And will strengthen your frame”                                                                                                         Isaiah 58:11

 

Dear Lord=WE PRAY=Help us as individuals and COLLECTIVELY=To UNDERSTAND=

That we=Our nation and our world=Are NOT self=made men and women=and that we=

CANNOT DO IT ALONE

 

Help us to REALIZE=That we are DEPENDENT on our God=and his Son=FOR UNITY=

For success=and for SUSTENANCE=and on each other

In Jesus’ name=and in the name of his=FOREVER living=forever loving=and FOREVER
SUSTAINING HOLY FATHER GOD!
