GOD IS OUR REFUGE=AND OUR ROCK

 

ANOTHER ONE=of my favorite PASSAGES=from the

Old TESTAMENT IS=From the Psalms=I have many from

The Psalms=but I just LOVE Psalm 18:2=”The Lord is MY ROCK=

My fortress=and my deliverer=My God is MY ROCK=In

Whom=I TAKE REFUGE=My shield=and my horn of salvation

My stronghold”                                                                                                                                          Psalm 18:2

 

WHO or what=has seen us=THROUGH the tough TIMES of

Our LIFE?=Health issues=LOSS of family and friends=To death=and

ONLY the Lord=knows what else=Financial issues=and relationship

Issues=I too=have seen all of this

 

But I HAVE HELD ON=to the Holy Father God=and his SON Jesus Christ=

With all of my might=and he=THEY=have CONTINUALLY RESCUED ME=

Through his SAVING GRACE=and USING all of you people=MY family

And my friends=to HELP ME=The LORD our God=is my ROCK

And MY REFUGE=I hope he is YOURS TOO=He shields me=with HIS

WORDS=from all that life THROWS AT ME

 

“The eternal God=IS YOUR REFUGE=and underneath are the Everlasting

Arms=He will drive out=Your enemies before you=saying=

‘Destroy them’”                                                                                                                                    Deuteronomy 33:27

 

“God is OUR REFUGE=and our strength=an ever present HELP in trouble”                     Psalm 46:1

 

THE LORD=has indeed been=MY Rock and my Refuge=in times of trouble=

He is=WHO I RUN TO=When the WORLD=is closing in on me=Who or

WHAT do you run too=In TIMES OF TROUBLE?=I often WONDER what

People cling to=IN troublesome times=IF they don’t have the HOLY FATHER

God and Jesus to cling to

 

The SON Jesus=was all alone in the end=BUT he had=HIS FATHER GOD=

In his soul=I am HOLDING ON=to them both=MY ROCKS and my

Refuge=the Holy Father God and Jesus=for as LONG as my life permits

GOD IS MY REFUGE=my rock=my shield

“Therefore=everyone who hears these words of mine=and puts them into

Practice=is like a wise man=who built his house=ON THE ROCK”                                   Matthew 7:24

 

“And I tell you=that you are Peter=and ON THIS ROCK=I will build

My church”                                                                                                                                              Matthew 16:18

 

And so OUR HOLY Father God and=His Son Jesus=are MY REFUGE=

My Rock=and my shield too=He SHIELDS me=from the devil=and ALL

That the devil=and the world THROWS at me=all those arrows=slings=

And shots=RUNNING RAMPANT in this world=”The Lord=IS MY STRENGTH=

And MY SHIELD=My HEART trusts in him=and he helps me=My heart

LEAPS for joy=and with my song=I praise him”                                                                           Psalm 28:7

 

“In addition=to all this=Take up=THE SHIELD OF FAITH=with which

You can=EXTINGUISH=all the flaming arrows=Of the evil one”                                       Ephesians 6:16

And so MY DEAR FRIENDS=Who or what=do you run to=when

TROUBLE COMES AT YOU=in this very DIFFICULT world=that we

Live in?

 

I HOPE=that you FIND YOUR REFUGE=Your ROCK=and your SHIELD=

In our ONE TRUE PROTECTOR=the Holy Father God and His Son Jesus=

For they are WHERE IT IS AT=they are THE PROTECTOR=of

OUR SOULS

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=Of our FOREVER LIVING=FOREVER LOVING=

Forever Saving Holy Father God!
