(With OUR GOD)

 

There USED=to be A TELEVISION SHOW called

“ONE DAY=AT A TIME”=The original series ran from

1975 to 1084=and it was about=A SINGLE MOM=

RAISING two daughters=and SURVIVING day to day=as

BEST as they could=ONE DAY AT A TIME

 

And my friends=my dear brothers and sisters=as

21^st century APOSTLES=and disciples of our Jesus Christ

And the Holy Father God=isn’t that ALL=we can do too=survive

ONE DAY AT A TME

 

CLINGING to God our Father=our Jesus=as a STRONGHOLD=

For our STRENGTH=as we attempt to=NAVIGATE this world=and

ALL its problems=

“I CLING to you=your right hand=upholds me”                                                                                    Psalm 63:8

 

“Love must be sincere=Hate what is evil=CLING

To what is good”                                                                                                                                            Romans 8:9

 

We FACE many problems=in today’s world=we face

UNKNOWN health problems and illnesses=we LOSE

Relatives and friends=to UNTIMELY DAETHS

 

WE lose our jobs=We face all kinds of FINANCIAL ISSUES=and

We lose all kinds of relationships=Marriages=significant others

Sometimes=our family members and children become ESTRANGED

 

ALL we can do=is HOLD ON=to the Holy Father God and Jesus

With all our MIGHT=hold on to God=for REAL STRENTH=just SURVIVING

ONE DAY AT A TIME=with our dear LORD=trying to get by

 

“Yes I am always with you=YOU HOLD ME=by my right hand”                                                       Psalm 73:23

“Then you will shine=among them=like stars=in the sky=as

YOU HOLD FIRMLY=to the word of life”                                                                                        Philippians 2:15-16

 

“He is=before all things=and in him=all things=HOLD TOGETHER”                                    Colossians 1:17

 

Like the mom=and two teenage girls=WE STRUGGLE

To hold together=ONE DAY AT A TIME=as we CLING to the Lord=

For HOPE and strength=Getting by one day at a TIME=with

The HELP of our Lord

 

Our families=our kids=FACE all sorts of problems=in today’s times

DATING ISSUES=drugs=alcohol=sexual addiction=ALL we can do

IS cling to the LORD=for his strength=and get by

ONE DAY AT A TIME

 

“Sing to the Lord=praise his name=Proclaim his salvation=

DAY AFTER DAY”                                                                                                                                              Psalm 96:2

 

“Do not boast about tomorrow=For you do not know

WHAT A DAY=may bring”                                                                                                                         Proverbs 27:1

“Give us EACH DAY=our daily bread”                                                                                                    Luke 11:3

 

Dear Lord=WE PRAY=for ourselves=and OUR

FAMILIES and friends=as we face all kinds of unique

And specialized problems=IN this the 21^st century

 

Help us=TO HOLD ON=to Our Holy Father God and our Jesus=

As we face ever increasing struggles=HELP us to FIND STRENGTH

In God=ONE DAY AT A TIME

 

“THIS DAY=is holy to our Lord=Do not grieve for=

For the joy of the Lord=IS YOUR STRENGTH”                                                                                 Nehemiah 8:10

 

“The Lord=IS MY STRENGTH=and my shield=My heart

Trusts in him=and he helps me”                                                                                                    Psalm 28:7

 

Dear Lord=we pray=for your HELP AND STRENGTH=to

FACE these modern day problems=as 21^st century apostles=as

We try to survive=ONE DAY AT A TIME=in your everlasting LOVE

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever LIVING=ever loving God=who is

OUR STRENGTH=for ALL of time
