LET THE LIGHT SHINE ON YOU

Are you a person

Who tries to do God’s will

In the world today

Maybe NOT always getting it right

But you keep trying

To be a positive influence

In the world

Well stand up

Take a bow

Let the light

Shine on you

You---YOU

Are one of the few

“You are

The light of the world

A city on a hill cannot be hidden

Neither do people light a lamp

And put it under a bowl

Instead they put it on its stand

And it gives light

To everyone in the house

In the same way

Let your light shine before men

That they may see your good deeds

And praise YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN”                               Matthew 5:14-16

You can’t be a beacon

If your light don’t shine

I don’t know about you

But I feel

Like we live in a world

That is getting a little bit meaner

Each and every day

Sometimes

I feel like this world can’t get any lower

But then it does

I have an idea

Let it STOP

With me and you

Did you know

That KINDNESS

Is one of the FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

“But the fruit of the spirit

Is love, joy, peace, patience, KINDNESS,

Goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control

Against such things---there is no law”                                         Galatians 5-22-24

If you are LIVING in the spirit

Stand up-take a bow

LET THE LIGHT SHINE ON YOU

Saint Vincent Depaul once said,

“The surest way to become a SAINT

Is to be kind-be kind- be KIND”

Saint Theresa the Little Flower was kind

Many consider her to be

The Saint of the ordinary

The ONE whose vocation was LOVE

You can’t be a beacon

If your light don’t shine

“For God who said

Let light shine our of your darkness

Made his light shine in our hearts

To give us the light of knowledge

Of the glory of God

In the face of Christ”                                                        2 Corinthians 4:6

Do good---BE light---Let God’s Light---
