ALL FIGHTING

Heavy SPIRITUAL BATTLES=right now

 

SOME of us are losing

But we have to

KEEP FIGHTING=

We have to be VICTORIOUS

FINISH the race

Just like Saint Paul

Just like Jesus

 

For the PEOPLE AROUND YOU

BE A VICTOR=

For the people around you

FINISH the race

 

“However I consider

My only aim=is to

FINISH THE RACE

And complete the task

The Lord Jesus=has given to me--------

 

The task of testifying

To the good news=of God’s grace”                                                                                         Acts 20:24

 

SOME of us=LIKE ME

Are fighting physical=

And fighting HEALTH PROBLEMS

 

Some of us

Are fighting financial issues=

And some of us=are fighting

Relationship issues=or battles of

LOSING SOMEONE close to us

 

Some of us

Are fighting ALL

Of these battles=at the same time

 

But we have to GO ON

We have to keep

ON FIGHTING=for each other

FOR THE PEOPLE=AROUND YOU

To finish the race too=PERSEVERE

 

“Now FINISH the work

So that your eager willingness

To do it

 

May be matched

By your completion of it=

According to your means”                                                                                               2 Corinthians 8:11

 

“I have fought

The good fight=I have

FINISHED THE RACE

I have=kept the faith”                                                                                                  2 Timothy 4:7

 

SO FIGHT ON

Like Jesus=like Saint Paul

Like the twelve apostles

 

PERSEVERE= through your trials

Persevere through

The physical pain

 

Persevere through

The financial hardships

Persevere through the LOSS

Of missing someone

IN A RELATIONSHIP

 

We have to do it

For each other

We have to do it

FOR THE PEOPLE=AROUND YOU!

Mature and complete

The other day=

I received a CARD

From a friend

 

It said=

What a PRAYER WARRIOR

That I was

I don’t know about that

But I do know

That God CALLS US all

To be PRAYER WARRIORS=

For each other=and for our whole world

CALLED TO BE=PRAYER WARRIORS

 

“And there people

Brought to him=a PARALYTIC

On a stretcher

 

When Jesus saw their FAITH

He said=

To the paralytic

‘Courage-child

Your sins are forgiven’”                                                                                                         Matthew 9:2

 

Jesus was

THE ULTIMATE PRAYER WARRIOR=

He set the example

He gave up=his life

For us all

 

Do you PRAY=every day

For someone else=other than yourself?

 

Do you=OFFER UP your sufferings

For others=and for the GOOD

Of the world?

That is=what he did

That is what=we

Are called to do

WE ARE CALLED=TO BE PRAYER WARRIORS!

 

“The Lord is near

To us

WHO CALL ON HIM

 

To all=who CALL on him

In truth”                                                                                                                                       Psalm 145:18

 

“Seek the Lord=while he

May be found=

CALLON HIM

IF we are

A TRUE prayer warrior

Our list=should keep getting larger and larger

 

UNTIL it involves

PEACE and UNITY

For the entire world

 

Look at Matthew nine=

It was the FAITH

Of the people

 

Who brought him=a stretcher

And INSPIRED Jesus

To HEAL the paralytic

 

OUR PRAYING=our faith

For our brothers and sisters

Will HELP each of us=HEAL=

And heal=the entire world

CALLED TO BE=PRAYER WARRIORS

 

“But if the unbeliever=leaves

Let it be so

 

The brother=or the sister

Is not bound=in such circumstances

GOD HAS CALLED US

A famous line is uttered

“If you build it

They will come”

 

And in the end

They did come

The cars lined up

For miles and miles

To see a little baseball field

In a corn field

In the middle of nowhere

 

To borrow a line

From Martin Luther King---God rest his soul

“I have a dream”

 

To build

A CITY OF GOD

Actually

To build a world for God

 

To live in a world

Based on God’s values

Not the values

Of this world

 

If we build it

They will come

 

Sister Faustina

Received a vision from an angel

Sent by God

An angel---sent to destroy a certain city

 

Sister Faustina

Began to pray for this city

Began to pray for mercy for it

 

But her prayers were powerless

And the angel was set on

Carrying out the orders

Given to him by God

Continued to pray

“Have mercy on us

God and the angel were so moved

Major cities today

In our country

So much killing---so much violence

So much materialism---so much greed

So much lust

And rampant sexuality

 

Then Abraham said again,

“May the Lord not be angry

But just let me speak once more

What if

Only ten can be found?”                                                 

 

God answered,

“For the sake of ten

I will not destroy it”                                                       Genesis 18:32

 

I am sure

That there are at least 10

God loving---God fearing people

In each of our major cities

 

So we can rest assured

That God

Is not going to destroy us

 

But we have to

Quit destroying ourselves

And return to our God

The God whose name is LOVE

 

“You are The Light of World

A city on a hill

Cannot be hidden”

 

Let us

Return our cities to God

 

Let us return our cities to love

It is a tough thing

To KNOW who we are

To know=what we

Are all about IN this world

 

I FOUND myself in God

I found myself=by/in

The LOVE of Christ

I found myself=IN LOVE

FINDING OUR IDENTITY=IN GOD

 

“He said to them’=

‘But WHO do say

I have had a CONSTANT CONVERSATION

With God=for as LONG

As I can remember

 

But it wasn’t=until I was 22

And made my DEATHBED PROMISE

To God

That I realized who I am

 

I am a =CHILD OF GOD

And that Jesus loves me=

LOVES YOU

Loves EVERYONE of us

FINDING OUR IDENTITY=IN OUR GOD

 

“That my soul=FINDS REST

In God=my salvation

Comes from him”                                                                                                                   Psalm 62:1

 

“Whoever=FINDS THEIR LIFE

Will lose it

 

And whoever loses their life=

For my sake

WILL FIND IT”                                                                                                                   Mtthew 10:39

 

I found myself=IN

My deathbed promise

“To live my life=for FAMILY

Friends=and all people everywhere”

 

I found myself in God

In found my IDENTITY

In loving him

And all others

 

Today=Jesus asks his disciples

“Who do they say

That I am?”

 

He is asking them this

Because he wants them

To dig DEEP=and figure out

Who they really are

 

He wants them to REALIZE

That they are MUCH MORE=

Than what they do

For a living

 

He wants them=to realize

That their WORTH

COMES FROM GOD

And the DIVINE LOVE

That they are receiving

 

As it is with us-

FINDING OUR IDENTITY=IN GOD

Finding our IDENTITY

In the LOVE=God has=and Jesus has

For us

 

“It will be good

For those servants

Whose master=FINDS THEM

 

Watching when he comes=

Truly I tell you=

He will dress himself=to serve=

 

Will have them recline

At the table

And will come=and wait on them”                                                                                         Luke 12:37

 

We know the apostles

And disciples=by their name

And Jesus knows=EACH of us

By our names as well

 

Dear God=HELP us

To know your name=IS LOVE

And really imitate you

And=FIND OUR IDENTITY=IN GOD!

A DISCERNING HEART

To govern your people

The Lord rewarded him

BEYOND his wildest dreams

GREAT for King Solomon

But what about us

Are we LIVING with

WISDOM AND HUMILITY

BEYOND MEASURE

As I certainly have been

NOT riches and glory like King Solomon

But I certainly have been BLESSED

“When pride comes-

Then comes disgrace

As King Solomon-certainly found out

So who or what

Are you praying for

Maybe RECONCILIATION

With loved ones

A new job

A new house

HEALTH restoration for yourself

Or for family and friends

IT'S OK-to ask

For specific requests

But let us

KEEP our hearts-and minds-

And souls open

For the GREAT BLESSINGS of God

Just like Solomon did

Namely-A DISCERNING HEART 

And WISDOM and HUMILITY

The life of Jesus

Shows us

THE POWER OF GOD!

In all things

 

All creation=the very BEGINNINGS

Of life=are set by God

The book of GENESIS

Tells us that

 

The life of Jesus=shows us

God is truly present

And that he is INFINITE

And that his love is VERY REAL

THE POWER OF GOD!

 

“Then he got up-

Rebuked the winds

And the sea=

And there was great calm

 

The men were amazed

Whom even the WINDS

God is NOT-

Jesus is not=CONFINED

WHO is this God

OVER ALL CREATION=

It is OFTEN=Very difficult

When someone=JUDGES YOU

I don’t really like it

I am SURE=You don’t either

 

Today we=Have someone

Pointing this out

In the OLD TESTAMENT

 

 

“To your mouth=

You give FREE REIN=for evil

 

You harness your mouth

To deceit”                                                                                                                           Psalm 50:19

 

But even WHEN we

ARE JUDGED=that is PART

OF GOD’S PLAN TOO

 

And Jesus=OUR SAVIOR

Was judged MORE UNFAIRLY

Than any man or woman

That ever lived

 

But HIS FATHER=

PROCLAIMED him innocent=by

RAISING him form the dead

 

We too =will be

UNFAIRLY JUDGED=that is

Just=PART OF GOD’S PLAN too

 

It may be DIFFICULT for us

But our RESPONSE=should be

To get back up

WITH THE Holy Father’s HELP!

 

So get back up=

KEEP LIVING=on God’s love-

Forgiveness-and kindness

Just like Jesus did

It is=

PART OF GOD’S PLAN TOO!

But those WHO PLAN

According to the PLAN

Today=we CELEBRATE

Saint Cyril of Alexandria

On his day=he faced hostility and depravity

 

 

Just like we do

Just=LIKE Jesus did

Just like every Saint=canonized or not

It is=PART OF GOD’S PLAN!

 

For we=WILL RISE

Above it=we are doing

The WILL of God

GOODBYES AND PEACE

 

June 26^th

 

“Goodbyes and Peace”

 

Goodbyes are difficult

Goodbyes always

Cause someone pain

 

Goodbyes occur

For many reasons

A move, a death, a broken relationship

 

But as Jesus

Was leaving this world

Jesus said

I leave my peace

With you

 

It is the kind of peace

That is

Not the peace from this world

But a peace

In spite of this world

 

A peace that says

In every situation

I am with you

To trust God

And know

God will bring you safely home

 

God’s peace

Is a victory

Over the darkness of sin

In this world

 

It is a victory over

The coldness, the indifference, the selfishness,

The ingratitude, the luke warmness

And rejection of this world

 

So please know

That whatever you are facing

In this world

 

And if you

Are facing

A goodbye for any reason

I wish you peace

NOW=MORE THAN EVER!

 

NOW=MORE THAN EVER!

 

Did you EVER

Stop and think=that the

NEED FOR GOD

Is greater IN our world=

MORE than ever before?

 

We have =so MUCH going on

We have COVID

We have=the war in the Ukraine

 

We have the great

Political=financial=and racial DIVIDES

Going on=in our country

And in our world

 

YES=the NEEED for God

Is greater=greater NOW

NOW=MORE THAN EVER!

 

“The Lord=will guide you

Always=he will satisfy

YOUR NEEDS=in a sun-scorched land……….”                                                                   Isaiah 58:11

 

“And my God=will meet

ALL YOUR NEEDS=according to the riches

Of his glory=IN Jesus Christ”                                                                                                Philippians 4:19

 

I believe=GOD KNOWS US

He knows=what we need

 

I believe=IF we turn

Back to God

With open hearts

With our minds and souls

On him=HE WILL ANSWER

OUR NEEDS=NOW MORE THAN EVER!

 

Look at history

He has ALWAYS ANSWERED=

He gave us Noah=Abraham

He gave us Moses

And King David

 

He gave us Jesus=and the apostles

To spread the message=OF LOVE

And he gave us ALL the saints

Down through the ages

 

He will=ANSWER OUR NEEDS

If we=just turn back to him

We need God

In our world today

NOW=MORE THAN EVER!

 

“Do not be=Like them

For your Father knows

WHAT YOU NEED-

Before you ask him”                                                                                                          Matthew 6:8

 

“Share with the Lord’s people

WHO ARE IN NEED=

Practice hospitality!”                                                                                                                   Romans 12:13

 

This world=this nation

Has been backing away

FURTHER away from God

For some time

 

I ask all of you

TO PRAY with me

For God to come back

EVERYWHERE in our world=and IN EACH ONE

Of our own hearts

 

The Lord KNOWS our needs

I believe=NOW MORE THAN EVER!

He knows=and will ANSWER OUR PRAYERS

Provide for our needs

He knows us=He will come

 

“If anyone serves-

They should do so

With the strength=GOD PROVIDES

 

So that in all things

God may be praised=Through Jesus Christ”                                                                    1 Peter 4:11

 

The Lord knows=we are

ALL IN NEED=in this world

He will PROVIDE=in time

NOW MORE THAN EVER!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS PROVIDING=Holy Father God!
