ENCOURAGEMENT!

(Saint Barnabas)

 

We all need ENCOURAGEMENT

In this world

To fight the battles

We have to deal with

 

AS CHRISTIANS

We should be=

ENCOURAGING our brothers and sisters

To FIGHT those battles

 

To fight those health problems=

To fight those

FINANCIAL PROBLEMS=and to

Fight those relationship problems

We all seem to have

 

And especially=when we LOSE SOMEONE

Family member or friend

To the CURSE of death=ENCOURAGEMENT!

 

“You-Lord=hear the desire

Of the afflicted

 

You ENCOURAGE THEM

And you listen=to their cry”                                                                                                       Psalm 10:17

 

“Therefore=ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER

And build each other up=just as

In fact=you are doing”                                                                                                     1 Thessalonians 5:11

 

It is OUR OBLIGATION

As Christians=to be there

For our brothers and sisters=

Who are FIGHTING HEAVY BATTLES

In faith

 

In ADDITION to Jesus

We should hold BROTHER Barnabas up

As an EXAMPLE for us too

Barnabas’ feast day=is tomorrow

And his name means=”SON OF CONSOLATION”

 

He was an early

CHRISTIAN DISCIPLE=and even though

He was not one

Of the ORIGINAL TWELVE

He worked a lot

With Paul

 

He was known as

THE ENCOURAGER of others

And it was he=who introduced Paul

To the original apostles

ENCOURAGEMENT!

 

“He was a good man=

Full of the Holy Spirit=and faith

And a great number of people

Were BROUGHT to the Lord”                                                                                                     Acts 11:24

 

Let us be

MODERN DAY ENCOURAGERS

Like our Saint Barnaba was

And bring people=TO GOD

In this

The 21^st century=ENCOURAGEMENT!

 

“Joseph=a Levite from Cypress

Whom the apostles called BARNABAS

Which means=’Son of ENCOURAGEMENT’

 

Sold a field he owned

And brought the money

And put it

At the apostles’ feet”                                                                                                      Acts 4:36

 

“May the God

Who gives endurance=AND ENCOURAGEMENT

 

Give you

The same attitude of mind

Toward each other=That Jesus had…….”                                                                                   Romans 15:5

 

And so my dear brothers

And sisters=let us be there

For our Christian friends=and all people

Who are FIGHTING tremendous battles

 

AND ENCOURAGE THEM

Like Saint Barnabas did=in his day

ENCOURAGEMENT! For our dear friends

Traveling along with us

In this the 21^st century

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our CONSTANTLY ENCOURAGING=Holy Father God!
