PRAYING FOR THOSE=
Who have been UNKIND TO US
I think=
At least for me=ONE OF
The toughest things to do
IS PRAY for those
Who have been mean
Or UNKIND to us
But it is a
DEFINITE MESSAGE=from Jesus
That we should do
Our best=TO ACHIEVE!
Holding POSITIVE THOUGHTS=
PRAYING for those
Who have been mean=or unkind
To me=is a DEFINITE CHALLENGE
“……..love your enemies=and PRAY FOR
Those who persecute you……..”
Matthew 5:44
But it is just NOT=a teaching
Of Jesus=it is something he did
UNTIL his dying breath
Jesus said=ON THE CROSS
“Father FORGIVE THEM
For they=do not know
What they are doing”
Luke
23:34
Let us BE KIND
And loving to those
Who have hurt us=or mistreated us
It is NOT SOMETHING
Most of us do well=at least I don’t
But in fact=that is
What we are CALLED to do=if we
Are TRUE FOLLOWERS of Christ
If we are true
IMITATORS OF CHRIST
“…….who despises
A vile person=but honors those
Who fear the Lord
Who keeps an oath-
Even when IT HURTS
And does not change their mind”
Psalm 15:4
“A lying tongue
Hates those IT HURTS
And a flattering mouth=works ruin”
Proverbs 26:28
HOW can we love someone
Who has hurt us?=so badly
That we can BARELY
Face another day?
IT IS NOT EASY!
It leaves us FEELING
Like there is NO JUSTICE=yet Jesus
Taught us=to forgive freely
TO BE KIND=to the mean
And hurtful=to PRAY FOR THEM!
Jesus answered Peter=about FORGIVENESS
“I tell you=not seven times
But SEVENTY-SEVEN TIMES”
Matthew 18:22
“And when you STAND PRAYING=
If you have anything=against anyone
FORGIVE THEM
So that your Father
In heaven=MAY FORGIVE YOU
Your sins”
Mark ii:25
I don’t understand
This teaching=and MANY others of Jesus
But I TRY and follow them
God just might be ASKING US
To consider LOVE
As a point of HEALING=for ourselves
And for others
God wants to FREE US
From the bondage
Of hatred and pain
Dear LORD=we PRAY
Help us to be KIND to those
Who have hurt us=and forgive them
PRAYING FOR THE UNKIND!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS MERCIFUL
FATHER!
