BURNING FOR HIS WORD
(In my heart)
I am NOT
Much of a camper
But I always KNEW
Water puts out fire
But I read recently
Fire can put out water too
ONE thing I know
Is that I know
If that I BURN
For the Lord’s word-in my heart
BURNING FOR THE WORD
In my HEART!
“The God who answers
WITH FIRE=is God”
1 Kings 18:24
Elijah must have
Known this too=
For even though
God seemed DISTANT and silent
To the people of Baal
Elijah knew he could
EXPECT his sopping wet offering
Could explode into flames
And God can ANSWER
Our petitions too
IF we are BURNING
With THE WORD OF GOD
Inside our hearts
“If your enemy
Is hungry=feed him
If he is thirsty=give him
Something to drink
In doing that=You will heap
BURNING COALS=on his head”
Romans 12:20
God can ANSWER our yearnings
WITH FIRE TOO
He can make our HEARTS
Burn for the WORD of God
He can make us
Become aware=of our sins
And he can REPLACE
A period of dryness
With a brand new FAITH
BURNING FOR HIS WORD
Inside of our hearts
“……..man does NOT live
On bread alone==but on
EVERY WORD
That comes from
The mouth of the LORD”
Deuteronomy 8:3
“In the beginning
WAS THE WORD
And the WORD=was with God
And the WORD=was God” John
1:1
“Take the helmet
Of salvation=and the sword
Of the SPIRIT=which is
THE WORD OF GOD”
Ephesians 6:17
The Lord moves us
With the WORD OF GOD
In our hearts
To love him=God
And love one another
He can give us
A DESIRE for justice=and joy
Through the gospel
Dear Lord=my heart
OUR HEARTS
Are=BURNING FOR YOUR WORD
IGNITE our hearts
BURNING FOR HIS HEART
In my heart=our hearts
Ps In Jesus’
name=our Holy Father’s name=and in the name of the WORD and SPIRIT of God!
