OPENING OUR HEARTS!

 

Today is PENTECOST SUNDAY=

The day when Jesus

Sent HIS SPIRIT=to the apostles

And to us

 

But the doors were locked

Their HEARTS were locked

A lot like=the people

In our world today

And our very own country

 

They needed to

OPEN their hearts

We need to

OPEN OUR HEARTS TOO!

For like then=there is

So much EVIL in today’s world

 

“……..Jesus came and stood

In their midst=and said to them

‘PEACE be with you’”                                                                                                               John 20:19

 

So the apostles needed

TO OPEN=their hearts

For Jesus=and his SPIRIT

 

We all need to

DO THE SAME

 

There is so much greed

So much power

SO much evil in today’s world

 

OPENING OUR HEARTS!

For the Lord=so his love

Can reach us

 

“MY HEART

Is stirred by a noble theme

 

As I recite my verses

For the king=

My tongue is the pen

Of a skillful writer”                                                                                                          Psalm 45:1

 

“Blessed are

THE PURE IN HEART

For they=will see God”                                                                                                        Matthew 5:8

 

“A good man brings

Good things=out of the good

Stored up=IN HIS HEART

 

And an evil man

Brings evil things

Out of the evil stored up

IN HIS HEART

 

For the mouth speaks

What the HEART=is full of”                                                                                                Luke 6:45

 

The apostles were afraid

Afraid for their very LIVES

 

But the SPIRIT OF God

The Spirit of Jesus

Reached them anyway

 

And they became

FULL of God’s love

The SPIRIT of Jesus=can REACH us too

 

Jesus gave us MERCY and peace

With his death

On the cross

 

We need to be

OPENING OUR HEARTS!

And spreading God’s love

ALL over the world

 

The APOSTLES spread Jesus’ love

In their time

We need to=SPREAD that same love

In today’s world

OPENING OUR HEARTS!

 

“But the word of God

Continued to SPREAD=and flourish”                                                                                       Acts 12:24

 

“We sent Timothy

Who is our brother=and co-worker

In God’s service

 

IN SPREADING the gospel

To strengthen=and encourage you

In your faith”                                                                                                                       1 Thessalonians 3:2

 

So UNLOCK your hearts

SPREAD the word of God

AND LOVE of Jesus

In today’s world

LIVE your life=in God’s love

OPENING OUR HEARTS!

HAPPY PENTECOST!=I LOVE YOU!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER LIVING=loving=Holy Father God!
