REMAINING AUTHENTIC AND HONEST

EVERYONE has an opinion

And because an opinion

Is popular=that doesn't

Make it TRUE

We live in a world with

A LOT of phonies and a

Lot of FAKES=to say

The least

It is a real challenge

To REMAIN AUTHENTIC and honest

And TRUE in this world

“They came and

Said to him'=

'Teacher we know

That you

Are a TRUTHFUL MAN

And that you

Are not concerned

With anyone's OPINION'” Mark 12:14

Jesus NEVER gave in

To the opinions of others=

He remained TRUE

To God the Father

And TRUE to himself

And his MISSION

On earth=

We should try

And DO THE SAME

He didn't give in

To lavish AFFIRMATIONS-

Or to hostile disapproval=

He was HONEST

Until his dying breath

He was the REAL THING!

“For my flesh

Is REAL food=

And my blood

Is REAL DRINK” John 6:55

“These are a shadow

Of the things

That were to come

The REALITY=however

Is found in CHRIST” Colossians 2:17

Just IMAGINE if Jesus

Had caved in=just imagine

IF Jesus didn't REMAIN

AUTHENTIC AND HONEST

What would this world

Be today?=we could sure

USE a little more

Jesus in this world=

We could sure use

A LITTLE MORE HONESTY

And a little MORE TRUTH

In this world

“You must have accurate

And HONEST weights and measures

So that you

May live long

In the land

The LORD your God is giving you” Deuteronomy 25:15

“AN HONEST WITNESS

Tells the TRUTH-

But a false witness

Tells lies” Proverbs 12:17

Jesus REMAINED AUTHENTIC

And HONEST=and he lived by

The EXAMPLE=of his life

He didn't give in

To the OPINIONS of others=

He knew who he was=and he

REMAINED TRUE to himself

The AUTHENTIC QUALITY we bring

To our behavior really counts

As we go about our lives=

Let us be ATTENTIVE to

How much we let others

INFLUENCE OUR LIFE

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our ever AUTHENTIC=living-loving FATHER!

The Ole’ Flag can still bring on

A glow of emotion, a sigh

When it snaps to an’ stretches out

Like cloth pinned to the sky.

Its culler’s once were carried with pride

Aroun’ the world just ‘bout everywhere

In theatres of war where heroes died

So that others would breathe free air.

I’ve seen it in the sunrise

Sil’vry dew hung on the bars,

An’ against the golden sunset

That bursts into blindin’ stars.

The Ole’ Flag, how proud it flies

Yet half-mast would befit it best,

When this last ol’e soldier dies

CRY FREEDOM

150 years ago

In a little town in Texas

At the Alamo

A group of 119 or 120 men

Were WAITING for HELP

A group led by Colonel William Travis

A group that included famous men

Like Davy Crockett and William Bowie

Men

Fighting for their independence

Men fighting for an ideal

A 100 or so men

Fighting for the beginnings

Of the statehood of Texas

General Sam Houston and his army

Did come---too late

For these men

But NOT too late

For the ideal---the statehood of Texas

2,000 years ago

There was another revolution going on

A revolution

To return to the Word of God

A revolution started by one man

Jesus Christ

A revolution

To teach us how to live

A revolution

To teach us how to forgive

A revolution

To teach us how to live lives

Of kindness and compassion

This revolution

Faced even longer odds

Than those few men down in Texas faced

One man

Backed by twelve

But in the end

One man standing alone

Unto his dying breath---committed to his ideals

CRY FREEDOM

Sam Houston’s army was too late

For those 120 men

But NOT too late

To finish the job---that those men started

CRY FREEDOM

The 12 did return ( one replaced )

As we assume---so did the 72

And millions and millions of others

Too late

For that one man

But NOT too late

For those ideals to be accomplished

My friends

This world is spiraling downwards

More and more so each day

It is time

For a new army

Committed to Christ’s ideals---to step forward

“You my brothers

Were called to be free

But do not use your freedom

To indulge the sinful nature

Rather serve one another in love

The entire law

Is summed up by a single command

Love your neighbor as yourself” Galatians 5:13-14

God and love

Versus hatred and resentment

SPIRIT over the flesh

It is time for us to stand up

To stand firm---to stand tall

Let us be slaves to God

Let us be slaves to love

Let us live

For the benefit of each other

And those yet to come

Let us

Teach God’s ways---Not human ways

Let us truly live out

THE GREAT COMMISSION

“ALL authority in heaven

And on earth

Have been given to me

Therefore

Go and make disciples of all nations

Baptizing them

In the NAME of the FATHER

And of the Son

And of the HOLY SPIRIT

And teaching them

To obey everything---I have commanded you

And SURELY I am with you

ALWAYS

TO THE VERY END OF THE AGE” Matthew 28:19 &20

And maybe ---if we do that

Maybe one day---we can ALL

How Elizabeth's voice might

Might have TOUCHED Mary=

And helped Mary=move forward

In her MISSION with God?

“Elizabeth FILLED with the Holy Spirit

Cried out-in a loud voice and said=

'Most BLESSED are you

Among women=and blessed

Is the fruit

Of your womb'” Luke 1:41-42

Elizabeth ENCOURAGED

And touched Mary=

WHO can we

ENCOURAGE AND TOUCH today?

With our voices=How can

The SPIRIT use us?

ENCOURAGE AND TOUCH SOMEONE TODAY!

“You Lord=

Hear the desire

Of the afflicted

You ENCOURAGE them=

And your listen=to their cry” Psalm 10:17

“The people read it

And were glad

For its ENCOURAGING MESSAGE

Judas and Silas=who themselves

Were prophets=said much

TO ENCOURAGE=and strengthen the believers” Acts 15:31-32

Elizabeth HELPED build community

By proclaiming-

The faithfulness of God

It was LIFE-ALTERING=probably

For both of them

And it can be=for us too

If we LET the Holy Spirit

Into our hearts=and do something

To ENCOURAGE AND TOUCH SOMEONE!

Today=on their path

And on their journey with

THE LORD!

“Saul also=went to his home

In Gibeah=

Accompanied by valiant men

Whose hearts=had been TOUCHED” 1 Samuel 10:26

“People brought

All their sick to him

And begged him

To let the sick

Just TOUCH=the edge

Of his cloak=

And all who TOUCHED it

Were healed” Matthew 14:35-36

We will NEVER KNOW=how Elizabeth's

AFFIRMATION=touched Mary=

And we will

Never know

How our words and actions

Have TOUCHED someone else's life

ALL we can do

IS COOPERATE

With the HOLY SPIRIT

And HOPE we TOUCH and

ENCOURAGE SOMEONE TODAY!

Of the LOVE

To his promises and

PULLED me through before

It is EASY to see God

In this life=

From the WONDERS of creation

The moon and the stars

To the heartbeats of

The TINIEST little babies

Remembering the GOOD THINGS

In life=REMEMBERING

The truth and beauty of our God

God is great

And WORTHY of our focus=

Our praise=and our adoration

Remembering the Lord

MY GOD

And all=he has done for me

“Truly I tell you-

Wherever the gospel is

Preached throughout the world

What she has done

Will also be told

“REMEMBER the wonders

He has done

GOD HEARS ME CRY

When I am down

When I am troubled

When I no longer want to try

God hears me cry

When I am feeling so low

I just want to die

God hears me cry

When I no longer know what to do

When I see no hope

For me or for you

God hears me cry

When I am feeling so miserable

That I even don’t know

If I can face another day

When the bills are rolling in

ONE such example

The PRINCIPLES of the Lord

Move us

Toward the ROAD TO JOY

FOLLOWING the ROAD of God

TO JOY!

And all the angels

SHOUTED FOR JOY!” Job 38:7

“Then I will go

To the altar of God

MY JOY=and my delight

I will praise you

With the Lord=

To find our God

WELCOME HOME PRODIGAL SON

WELCOME HOME PRODIGAL SON

In the 15^th chapter

Of Saint Luke’s Gospel

Jesus tells us the story

Of the lost son

And his loving father

We call it

The story of the Prodigal Son

What is interesting

Is never once in the story

Is the word, “prodigal” used

The young son

Sets off for a distant land

And squanders his wealth

On wild living

How many of us

Haven’t made a mistake or two

When we were young

When famine hits

And after he has squandered everything

He decides to go home

And throw himself

On the mercy of his father

But to his surprise

Instead of being angry

His father throws a party for him

To the father’s surprise

The older brother

Refuses to join the party

He feels he has been slighted

Because he has been loyal and dependable

Which brings us to the point

Which of us isn’t guilty of something

Something done or something left undone

For every sin committed

There are 100 good deeds

Left undone

For every violent act

There are 100 acts of

Coldness, indifference, and condescending attitudes

We ALL deserve

A second chance

As Dickens wrote,

“There is so much bad in the best of us

And so much good in the worst of us

It ill becomes any of us

To speak badly of the rest of us”

The gift of EVERY human life

GIVEN to us=by God

For it is AN OPPORTUNITY=

To BUILD a life

To build=the CHURCH OF GOD

WONDERS AT

THE GIFT OF LIFE

Of the GIFT OF LIFE

Who BUILT the Church

Into what it is

“I AM THE WAY-THE TRUTH-AND THE LIFE”

I know this scripture

Inside and out

It LIVES

In my heart

And I do my best

To try and live it

I memorize

VERY little scripture

But one line

I have memorized is:

“I am the way

and the truth

And the life

No one comes

To the Father

Except through me

If you really know me

You would know

My Father as well

From now on

You do know him

And have SEEN HIM” John 14:6

THERE IT IS

PLAIN as the day

Jesus and the Father are one

IF you are one with Jesus

You are ONE with the FATHER

And exactly

WHAT IS the way

TO GOD the Father

And his Son

“IF you are

PLEASED with me

TEACH me your ways

So that

I may know you

And continue

To find favor

With you” Exodus 33:13

“In ALL your ways

ACKNOWLEDGE HIM

And he will make

GOD'S WAYS

GOD=PERFECT TRUTH

Jesus= the PERFECT EXAMPLE

of TRUTH on the law

But of course

NONE of us

But that does not mean

We shouldn't try

AS CLOSE to God

As we are capable of being

And Jesus was

LIFE CONCEIVED

By the spirit

GOD'S OWN SON

And the SPIRIT of God

WALKING upon this earth

And leaving GOD'S OWN SPIRIT

HIS OWN SPRIT

Behind with us

On earth

“I have come

That they may have LIFE

And have it

TO THE FULL” John 10:10

SINCE I have committed John 14:6

To MEMORY

EVERY time I look at the clock

And it reads 46 minutes after the hour

God’s plan is sure

God’s plan is true

God’ word

Is always on the mark

Is it in you

Even in the best of we humans

Who try to be true

Who always

Try to do our very best

Sometimes we fail

It has happened to me

Has it ever happened

To you

The human element

Leaves us weak

The human element

Leaves us vulnerable

The human element

Leaves us

With us an Achilles heel

Jesus Christ

Had that human element

But he triumphed

Over it all

Jesus Christ knew

He had to show

The human element

In order to fail

But he was

Willing to do it

In order

To triumph over it all

We try and try and try

To triumph

Over our human element

I only

Know one thing about it

And that is

Doomed to fail

BASICALLY=everyone today who

Wears glasses=would have been

CONSIDERED BLIND=In Jesus' day

Myself included

What a great ASSET=corrective lenses

Are=in today's world

BLINDNESS was a big problem

In the ancient world

And SIGHT is used frequently

FOR SPIRITUAL AWARENESS

Are you SEEING GOD in others?

Do you have SPIRITUAL

VISION PROBLEMS=in today's world?

"Master=I want to see'=

Jesus told him=

'Go your way=your faith

Has saved you'

Immediately=he received his SIGHT=

And followed him=on the way"                                                                                       Mark 10:51-52

The LIGHT is always there=

But do we USE the light

To SEE God=to see

THE GOOD in other people

So much of our SPIRITUAL WORK

Is about seeing God

All around us

About SEEING GOD=

In other people

SEEING God in other people=

LOOKING=for the Lord

"But the Lord

Said to Samuel=

'Do not-

Consider his appearance-

Or his height

For I have rejected him

The Lord does not

LOOK at the things

People LOOK AT

People LOOK

At the outward appearance

But the Lord

LOOKS AT THE HEART'"                                                                                                           1 Samuel 16:7

"Don't you have

A saying'

'It's still four months

Until harvest?'

I tell you

Open your eyes

And LOOK=at the fields!

They are=ripe for harvest"                                                                                                 John 4:35

We need to SEE

The Lord in other people=

Rather than being BLINDED

By fear=by doubt=and by anger

Dear Lord=HELP US

To see the LORD

IN OTHERS

Help us to see you

Dear Lord=in your HANDIWORK=

And in everyone and everything

We ENCOUNTER TODAY

"For we are=GOD'S HANDIWORK=

Created in Christ Jesus

To do GOOD WORKS'=

Which God prepared in advance

For us to do"                                                                                                                             Ephesians 2:10

"Religion that God our Father

Accepts as pure and faultless=is this=

To LOOK AFTER orphans and widows

In their distress

And to keep oneslf

From being polluted

Dear Lord=we pray

DOING GOOD DEEDS!

 

DOING GOOD DEEDS!

Jesus set the STANDARD for

DOING GOOD DEEDS=but that is

Something we should all

TRY AND DO

I believe the Jewish people

Call them MITZVAHS!=or good deeds

I BELIEVE=and have heard

That PRACTICING Jewish people=

Sometimes try=and go and FIND

Nonpracticing Jews-------

And INVITE them to service

To RECONNECT=and experience

The mercy of God

DURING high Jewish Holy days

"Let the prisoners'

Sighing come before you

With your great power

FREE those doomed to death"                                                                                                       Psalm 79:11

Here the PSALMIST

Is praying for the suffering=

Those imprisoned-

Those facing death

But all of us

PRAY for others=

As we reach out

In a MITZVAH=or good deed

At one time or another

We try and HELP OTHERS!

DOING GOOD DEEDS!

"You answer us

With awesome and righteous DEEDS=

God our Savior

The hope of all

The ends of the earth

And the farthest seas"                                                                                                              Psalm 65:5

"In the same way-

Let your light shine

Before others

That they may see

YOUR GOOD DEEDS

And glorify your

Father in heaven"                                                                                                                        Matthew 5:16

"And whatever you do=

Whether in word or DEED

Do it all-in the name

Of the Lord Jesus=giving thanks

To God the Father=through him"                                                                                       Colossians 3:17

We should all do MITZVAHS

Or good deeds

We should all RECOGNIZE

That we are all

GOD'S CHILDREN

And that the BEST=we can do

Is to HELP OTHERS

On their JOURNEY

With God

"Lord my God-

I called to you

FOR HELP=and you healed me"                                                                                                 Psalm 30:2

"In Joppa=there was a disciple

Named Tabitha

(In Greek=her name is Dorcas)

She was always DOING GOOD

And HELPING the poor"                                                                                                                   Acts 9:36

Dear God the Father-

May I always have

The wisdom and courage

To INVITE OTHERS

To support others=

And encourage others

In our journey

To do GOOD DEEDS

In this world

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS GOOD=God the Father

STILL STANDING WITH US!

 

STILL STANDING WITH US!

Mary STOOD with Jesus

When he was crucified=

All the way=UNTIL

The bitter end

She is STILL STANDING

With us today=as we

CONTINUE to battle

This dreaded COVID night mare

She is

STANDING with us STILL

"Standing by the cross

Of Jesus= were his MOTHER

And his mother's sister

Mary-the wife of Clopas=

And Mary of Magdala"                                                                                                             John 19:25

Mary had NO THOUGHTS

Of abandoning her son=

And STILL has no thoughts

Of leaving us=on our own

IN TODAY'S WORLD

She is STILL STANDING

WITH US!

She had no thhought

That her ASSOCIATION

With Jesus

Might brandish her

To a criminal's death too

She had NO CONSIDERATION

In her thoughts

That she might be

TORTURED like Jesus

She was STILL STANDING

With Jesus=she is

STILL STANDING with us TODAY!

"Do not-

Come any closer'=God said

'Take off your sandals-

For the place

Where you are STANDING

Is holy ground'"                                                                                                                           Exodus 3:5

"The commander

Of the Lord's army replied=

'Take off your sandals

For the place

Where you are STANDING

is holy'

And Joshua did so"                                                                                                               Joshua 5:15

"Resist him=STANDING FIRM

In the faith

Because you know

That the family

Of believers

Throughout the world

Is undergoing

The same kind of sufferings"                                                                                            1 Peter 5:9

That is what Mary

Did with Jesus=

She STOOD with him

Until the very end

And she STANDS WITH US

Come what may

In this world

She was standing with Jesus

NOT HIDING

She was STANDING with him

AS A WITNESS

As her son-JESUS

Had his last moments

ON THIS EARTH

She was standing with Jesus

POWERLESS to save him=

But she was PRESENT=

And that sometimes

Is the BEST WE CAN DO

"Do your best

TO PRESENT YOURSELF to God

As one approved

A worker who does not need

To be ashamed-

And who correctly HANDLES

The word of truth"                                                                                                                       2 Timothy 2:15

Mary=our MOTHER=and

THE MOTHER of the Church=

STANDS WITH US STILL TODAY

She is STILL STANDING=

With Jesus=with us=NOW=

And until the END of time

With love and compassion

In the name os Jesus=and God=OUR HOLY FATHER!

CHOOSING THE APOSTLES=CHOOSING US!

 

CHOOSING THE APOSTLES=CHOOSING US!

The apostles DESERTED Jesus

Out of fear=

During his time

Of suffering and death

And MANY OF US

Desert him=during our

TOUGH TIMES in this life

And yet he OFFERS US peace

And yet he CHOOSES

All of us=in today's world

To CONTINUE his work

CHOOSING US=

To CONTINUE his work!

"Jesus said to them again

'PEACE be with you=

As the Father

Has sent me=

So I send you'"                                                                                                                            John 20:21

PEACE=what an INCREDIBLE

WORD of forgiveness and love

For the apostles=

What an incredible word

Of forgiveness and love

FOR ALL OF US

He chooses the apostles

HE CHOOSES US!

To CONTINUE his work

During these difficult times

"Therefore my dear friends

As you have always obeyed--------

Not only in my presence

But how much more

In my absence-------

CONTINUE to work out

Your salvation

With fear and trembling

For it is God

Who works in you

To will and to act

In order

To fulfill his good purpose"                                                                                           Philippians 2:12-13

"But as for you

CONTINUE in what

You have learned

And have become convinced of

Because you know those

From whom you learned it"                                                                                             2 Timothy 3:14

Yes what we have LEARNED=

We have learned

From Jesus=and the apostles

And we are to CONTINUE

Their excellent SPIRITUAL WORK

Yes because=of Jesus'

Peace and forgiveness

The apostles were TRANSFORMED=

And we are transformed-

Through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD

We have been CHOSEN

To continue the work

"For many are invited=

But few are CHOSEN"                                                                                                                     Matthew 22:14

"If you belonged

To the world=

It would love you

AS its own

But I have CHOSEN YOU

Out of the world=

That is why

The world hates you"                                                                                                                  John 15:19

The LOVE

Jesus gave to the apostles

Is also GIVEN TO US=

We have been chosen

To CONTINUE GOD'S WORK

God delighted in making

Us his partners

To SPREAD the love of God=

And the WORD OF GOD

Through the Holy Spirit

CHOOSING US IN TODAY'S WORLD

THE WEAK AND THE HUMBLE

 

GOD CALLS THE WEAK AND THE HUMBLE

It is a TOUGH WORLD

That we live in=

Our faith ASSURES US

That we can ENDURE-

Whatever the world

Throws at us

It is NOT ALWAYS

To the toughest=and strongest=that

ENDURE in this world=

Although that

Is sometimes the case

But GOD CALLS the

WEAKEST and the HUMBLEST

To TESTIFY for him

"Therefore I am

Content with WEAKNESSES-insults-

Hardships-persecutions-and constraints

For the sake of Christ-

For when I am WEAK-

Then I am strong"                                                                                                                   2 Corinthians 12:10

I have been WEAKENED

Every day of my life

By a chronic illness

But like Saint Paul=God

Has given me the strength

To PERSEVERE-

Despite my illness

ALL we have to do

Is look at

The lives of the SAINTS

And those in the bible

To see HOW GOD

Used the weak

And the humble

To ADVANCE his word

In this world

We live in

"In the same way

The SPIRIT helps us

In our WEAKNESS

We do not know

What we ought to

Pray for

But the Spirit himself

Intervenes for us

Through wordless groans"                                                                                                      Romans 8:26

"For the foolishness of God

Is wiser than

Human strength

And the WEAKNESS of God

Is stronger than human strength"                                                                                   1 Corinthians 1:25

"But he said to me=

'My grace is sufficient

For you

For my power

Is made perfect

IN WEAKNESS'

Therefore I will boast

All the more gladly

About my WEAKNESSES

So that Christ's power

May rest on me"                                                                                                                        2 Corinthians 12:9

When we are weak-

When we are HUMBLE=

God can use us

Even more=

As Saint Paul FOUND OUT

God sends us the GRACE

In order=for him

To be MAGNIFIED

God calls the weak=

And he calls

The HUMBLE

Humility is given

To us

Through GRACE ALONE

The weaker you are

The more DEPENDENT

You are on God

The GREATER

God can use you

Saint Paul and the SAINTS

Found that out=

SO DID I

"HUMILITY is

The fear of the LORD

Its wages are richer

And honor and LIFE"                                                                                                                 Proverbs 22:4

So DON'T WORRY about

Your weaknesses=

The weaker that you are

THE MORE GOD

Can USE YOU

So STEP FORWARD in GRACE

And in faith

In Jesus' name

OUR LORD KNOWS US!

 

OUR LORD KNOWS US!

Imagine this:

That you are being GRILLED

By a TEACHER in front

Of the whole class=it happens

A second and a third time=

You probably WISH it

Was a dream

But for Peter the apostle

It was NO DREAM=

He was asked three times

IF he loves Jesus=in front

Of the other apostles

Finally=Peter says=

"Lord-you know everything=

You know that I LOVE YOU"                                                                                                 John 21:17

And Jesus KNOWS

Each one of us=he KNOWS

If we love him or not=

He knows each time

That we DENY HIM

In this world=in front of others

What a FAITH FILLED

Affirmation by Peter

The Lord knew of his love

Yes despite that FAILURE

Peter was CONFIDENT

That the Lord

KNEW that he loved him

And he knows us=and whether

We LOVE him or not too

OUR LORD KNOWS US!

"He says=

'Be still=and KNOW

That I am God

I will be exalted

Among the nations

I will be exalted

In the earth'"                                                                                                                                        Psalm 46:10

"Do not boast

About tomorrow=

For you do NOT KNOW

What a day may bring"                                                                                                                    Proverbs 27:1

"I will give them

A heart to KNOW ME

That I am Lord

They will be my people

And I will be

Their God

For they-

Will return to me

With all their heart"                                                                                                                  Jeremiah 24:7

And Peter LOVED the Lord=

He RETURNED to Jesus

And was the ROCK

Of the Church=

To build the CHURCH

And our Lord KNOWS US=

He has faith in us=

I DREAM of the day

When we as a people

WILL return to the Lord

When we will admit=our denials

And love our Lord

ONCE AGAIN

The Lord=OUR LORD

KNOWS US!

"I am the good shepherd-

I KNOW my sheep

And my sheep KNOW ME--------

Just as the Father KNOWS me

And I KNOW the Father--------

And I lay down my life

For the sheep"                                                                                                                                John 10:14

We can't hide

From the Lord=the Lord knew Peter

And he knows us=

OUR LORD KNOWS US!

So tell the Lord

Each day=how much YOU LOVE HIM

And want to serve him

He knows us

Through and through=

OUR LORD KNOWS US!

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our ALL KNOWING=all loving Holy Father!

FOREVER AND EVER

 

FOREVER AND EVER

Our God has loved us

FOREVER AND EVER!=

He loved us-

Long BEFORE we were born

We are=CHILDREN OF GOD!

".......because you loved me

BEFORE the foundation

Of the world"                                                                                                                   John 17:24

Can't you just IMAGINE God

Telling you=you will FIND

Some things easy=and that you will

Find other things more DIFFICULT=

They will be a burden

But all things

Will WORK TOGETHER

For your=very own good

Because you are

You are MINE FOREVER AND EVER?

You are my children

You are=CHILDREN OF GOD

"And we know that

In all things

God WORKS for the good

Of those who love him

Who have been called

ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE"                                                                                                 Romans 8:28

And can't you just

IMAGINE God

Going even further

Telling us we are

A MANIFESTATION of his love

That he CALLED US

From the very beginning

And he knows us BY NAME?

Can't you just imagine him

Telling you

To trust him=and have COURAGE

Ant that he will guide your path

FOREVER AND EVER?

"Give thanks to the Lord

For he is good=

His love endures FOREVER"                                                                                             1 Chronicles 16:34

"The Lord reigns FOREVER=

He has established

His throne for judgment"                                                                                                      Psalm 9:7

"And I will ask

The Father=and he will

Give you another advocate

To help you

And be with you FOREVER-------

The Spirit of truth"                                                                                                                John 14:16

Jesus LEFT the SPIRIT

OF TRUTH  with us forever

And he prayed for us

He loved us=and hoped

That we would be

ONE with him

FOREVER AND EVER!

Each day that

We LIFT our eyes up

In prayer

God has LONGED

For this minute=it began

BEFORE the foundation

Of this world

And he prayed

That we would be with him

FOREVER AND EVER

As children of God

"Everyone who competes

In the games-

Goes into strict training

They do it 

To get a crown

That will not last

But we do it

To get a crown

That will LAST FOREVER"                                                                                                   1 Corinthians 9:25

We are CHILDREN OF GOD=

We survive on his love

And we will live

With him=for all eternity

A DEEPER PRESENCE IN GOD

 

A DEEPER AWARENESS OF GOD

Do you HAVE an AWARENESS

Of God in your life?

Are you AWARE that he IS

With you EVERY STEP of

The way?

He walks with you and

TALKS with you all day long

Are you aware ot it?

Are you LISTENING for him?

"........In him you are

BEING built together

Into a dwelling place of God

In the SPIRIT"                                                                                                                       Ephesians 2:22

God WANTS to LIVE in you

Jesus wants to live in you

And they will-if you say "YES"

To their PRESENCE-to their Spirit=

To the HOLY SPIRIT of God and Christ

A DEEPER AWARENESS of God-and-

Christ in our lives

"The master of the servant

Will COME on a day

When he does NOT

Expect him

And at an hour

He is not aware of"                                                                                                                 Matthew 24:50

Be aware of=BE WAITING

For a DEEPER PRESENCE

Of God

You NEVER KNOW how he or when

He will show up

The PRESENCE of God

Is everywhere

"Because of my INTEGRITY

You uphold me

And set me

In your PRESENCE forever"                                                                                                        Psalm 41:12

"You have made KNOWN to me

The PATHS OF LIFE

You will FILL me

With JOY in your presence"                                                                                               Acts 2:28

MOVE yourself CLOSER to God

Be ready

For a DEEPER AWARENESS of God

Move yourself CLOSER=surround yourself

With other GOD-FILLED people

START reading the SCRIPTURES every day

And go to MASS or your CHURCH

Every day=BUILD BRIDGES

With the other faiths

WE are all in this TOGETHER=

RECOGNIZE the ties that bind us

To others=we are in COMMUNITY

With ALL who have been BAPTIZED

We are the BODY of Christ=we 

ARE to be in UNITY together=

To bring UNITY to this world

We are all HUMAN

We are all in need

We SHARE this common trait=the

NEED FOR LOVE=the need for UNITY

"How good and

PLEASANT it is

When GOD'S PEOPLE

LIVE together in unity"                                                                                                               Psalm 133:1

"I in them

And you in me

So that they MAY be brought

To COMPLETE UNITY

Then the world

Will KNOW

That you sent me

And have LOVED them

Even as you have LOVED ME"                                                                                                     John 17:23

DEAR FRIENDS=Let us REACH OUT for

A DEEPER PRESENCE OF GOD=and

Christ=in our world

Individually and COLLECTIVELY

So that all of us TOGETHER=

And even the SECULAR world

Can BE AWARE of

THE PRESENCE OF GOD

THE SPIRIT IS WITH US

Heve you ever PRAYED for

Somebody else=out loud?

It is an EMOTIONAL MOMENT

It is especially so=

If you are

Down on your knees

Feeling a STRONG BOND

For someone else=

Praying with them=

The SPIRIT is in us=and WITH US

"When he had

Finished speaking=he knelt down

And PRAYED=with them all"                                                                                                         Acts 20:36

Before Paul departed=he made

His farewell speech=

To the church of Ephesus=

And he concluded by kneeling

And praying=with those PRESENT

And they were all so TOUCHED

That they were weeping

"They were all

Weeping loudly"                                                                                                                                  Acts 20:37

Along with the sadness=

They all felt=

They could feel

THE SPIRIT WITHIN THEM

The SPIRIT was with them

And the spirit is

With us=when we pray together

For one another's BENEFIT

WHEN we pray with others=

The presence of

The SPIRIT'S INTENSITY

Sometimes surprises us

So much so

That the tears

CAN WELL UP=in our eyes

"Where can I go

From your SPIRIT?

Where can I flee

From your presence?"                                                                                                                    Psalm 139:7

"I live in

A high and holy place

But also with the one

Who is contrite

And lowly IN SPIRIT

To revive the SPIRIT

Of the lowly-

And to revive the heart

Of the contrite"                                                                                                                                  Isaiah 57:15

The SPIRIT was

With Jesus=Paul=and all

The apostles=and the spirit

IS WITH US TODAY

When we PRAY

And try to

FURTHER the work of God

In this world

The vibrant and ENDURING LOVE

Of the Spirit=TOUCHES

A deep part of us

Whether we are WORSHIPPING

In community=whether we are

JUST PRAYING for another=

Or whether we are saying

GOODBYE to a friend

NEVER REGRET

The tears that you feel=

Never under estimate

The POWER of the Spirit

Deep within you

"For where TWO or three

Gather in my name=there am I

With them"                                                                                                                                        Matthew 18:20

Never be embarrassed or regret

The TEARS you feel

At those times=and never regret

THE SPIRIT WITHIN US

The SPIRIT IS WITH US!

LIVING WITH SERVICE AND HUMILITY

Every day is an ADVENTURE-

In this life that we LIVE=

For we have many trials

And TEARS in this life

But the BEST that we can do

Is TRY to live life

By SERVING the Lord

And others =IN HUMILITY

LIVING=by serving the Lord

And others

With HUMILITY

"I SERVED the Lord

With all HUMILITY=

And with the tears

And trials

That came to me........"                                                                                                       Acts 20:19

Sometimes=life brings us

To our knees=with ALL

The tears and trials

That this life brings

Recently=I lost a dear FRIEND=Lin

To leukemia=I miss her very much=

We used to e-mail

MANY TIMES every day=

The trials and TRIBULATIONS of this life

LIVING WITH SERVICE AND HUMILITY

Being there for others

"........to walk in obedience

In him=to keep his commands=

To hold fast to him

And to SERVE HIM

With all your heart-

And with all your soul"                                                                                                                  Joshua 22:5

"No one can SERVE

Two masters

Either you

Will hate the one

And love the other

Or you will be devoted

To the one

And despise the other

You cannot

SERVE both God and money"                                                                                                      Matthew 6:24

"SERVE wholeheartedly-

As if you

Were SERVING the Lord

Not people"                                                                                                                                         Ephesians 6:7

My friend Lin=

Was the most HUMBLE

Of all people

She never complained=and

I WILL MISS HER!

She was an INSPIRATION

For me=she just went

About her life

NEVER COMPLAINING

Through ALL the tears

And all the TRIALS

LIVING WITH SERVICE

AND HUMILITY

"He guides the HUMBLE

In what is right

And teaches them his way"                                                                                                              Psalm 25:9

"These are the ones

I look on with favor=

Those who are HUMBLE

And contrite in spirit"                                                                                                                    Isaiah 66:2

"Be completely

HUMBLE and gentle=

Be patient

Bearing with one another

In love"                                                                                                                                                    Ephesians 4:2

To send her two or three
