HIS HEAVENLY HOMECOMING
Have you ever imagined
HOW WONDERFUL
Jesus' HOMECOMING
Must have been?
Trying to ENVISION
The beautiful sky-
For that celestial event
HIS HEAVENLY HOMECOMING!
“He presented himself alive
To them=by many PROOFS
After he had suffered=
Appearing to them
DURING forty days.......” Acts 1:3
After Jesus
ROSE from the dead=
He spent more
Than 40 days on earth
Before ASCENDING
These forty days
Were in DIRECT CONTRAST
To another forty days=
He had to
SPEND in the desert
To prepare for
His public ministry
And eventually
Face the horrendous crucifixion
CONQUERING pain and death=
He was CHANGED
From victim=into the VICTOR
And then he has
HIS HEAVENLY HOMECOMING
As we will all
Have someday=for
He was VINDICATED=and Transformed from
Victim into victor
“The king rejoices
In your strength-Lord
How great is his joy
In the VICTORY=you give!” Psalm 21:1
“With God=
We will gain the VICTORY
And he will trample down
Our enemies” Psalm 60:12
“........for everyone-born of God
Overcomes the world
This is the VICTORY
That has=overcome the world
Even our faith” 1 John 5:4
In his/these CLOSING DAYS
On earth= we sense
His contentment=we sense
His frame of mind
SURPRISING his friends
That he was alive=
And wishing HIS PEACE
For all
What a TIME it
Must have been for Jesus
When he
Had HIS HEAVENLY HOMECOMING!
What a time
It will be for us too
When we have OUR heavenly homecoming
With Jesus=and God=the HOLY FATHER!
“Even the sparrow
Has found a home=and the swallow
A nest for herself
Where she may
Have her young-------
A place near the altar
Lord Almighty=my King
And my God” Psalm 84:3
Dear Lord=we PRAY
That Jesus leads us HOME
To the Father's house=your house
And we all spend an ETERNITY
Together=just like the PRODIGAL SON=
HIS HEAVENLY HOMECOMING
And ours too
In Jesus' name=and in the name=
Of our HOLY FATHER GOD!=our always welcoming FATHER
