THE SPIRIT IS WORKING IN US!
It can be HARD=
And it can be RISKY
When we speak
About our FAITH to others
We can be AFRAID to
Explain it=or
MISREPRESENT our faith
Yet the TRUTH REMAINS=
We know about
THE RESURRECTION of the dead=
Because someone
Took the risk
To EXPLAIN it to us
And they KNEW=
Because the women and men
Who beheld the RISEN JESUS
Told others=and the WORD
Has been passed ON AND ON
For 21 centuries
The SPIRIT of truth
Is STILL WORKING in us today=
Because it has been
Passed on DOWN TO US
“When they heard
About RESURRECTION
Of the dead
Some began to scoff-
But others said-
'We should like
To hear you on this'” Acts 17:32
The SPIRIT is WORKING
IN US=because the story
Of Jesus
Has been passed on and on
“Do not cast me
From your presence
Or take your Holy SPIRIT
From me” Psalm 51:11
“For this is what-the high
and exalted one says.......'
'I live in a high
And holy place=
But also with the one
Who is contrite=and lowly IN SPIRIT
To revive the SPIRIT of the lowly
And to revive
The heart=of the contrite'” Isaiah 57:15
The SPIRIT OF GOD
Is working is us=
Each time we speak
About God=each time
That we PRAY=
Each and every time
We work=to help
ANOTHER human being
“Whatever you do
WORK for it=with all your heart
As WORKING for the Lord
Not for human masters” Colossians 3:23
“Now we ask you
Brothers and sisters
To acknowledge those
Who WORK hard among you-
Who care for you
In the Lord
And who admonish you” 1 Thessalonians 5:12
So pass on the story
Of the RESURRECTION of the Lord
And remember
THE SPIRIT is always
WORKING to bring us together
With one another
In the light=of the RESURRECTION
It is to God=to whom
We belong=THE SPIRIT
IS WORKING IN US!
