REMAINING AUTHENTIC AND HONEST

EVERYONE has an opinion

And because an opinion

Is popular=that doesn't

Make it TRUE

We live in a world with

A LOT of phonies and a

Lot of FAKES=to say

The least

It is a real challenge

To REMAIN AUTHENTIC and honest

And TRUE in this world

“They came and

Said to him'=

'Teacher we know

That you

Are a TRUTHFUL MAN

And that you

Are not concerned

With anyone's OPINION'” Mark 12:14

Jesus NEVER gave in

To the opinions of others=

He remained TRUE

To God the Father

And TRUE to himself

And his MISSION

On earth=

We should try

And DO THE SAME

He didn't give in

To lavish AFFIRMATIONS-

Or to hostile disapproval=

He was HONEST

Until his dying breath

He was the REAL THING!

“For my flesh

Is REAL food=

And my blood

Is REAL DRINK” John 6:55

“These are a shadow

Of the things

That were to come

The REALITY=however

Is found in CHRIST” Colossians 2:17

Just IMAGINE if Jesus

Had caved in=just imagine

IF Jesus didn't REMAIN

AUTHENTIC AND HONEST

What would this world

Be today?=we could sure

USE a little more

Jesus in this world=

We could sure use

A LITTLE MORE HONESTY

And a little MORE TRUTH

In this world

“You must have accurate

And HONEST weights and measures

So that you

May live long

In the land

The LORD your God is giving you” Deuteronomy 25:15

“AN HONEST WITNESS

Tells the TRUTH-

But a false witness

Tells lies” Proverbs 12:17

Jesus REMAINED AUTHENTIC

And HONEST=and he lived by

The EXAMPLE=of his life

He didn't give in

To the OPINIONS of others=

He knew who he was=and he

REMAINED TRUE to himself

The AUTHENTIC QUALITY we bring

To our behavior really counts

As we go about our lives=

Let us be ATTENTIVE to

How much we let others

INFLUENCE OUR LIFE

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our ever AUTHENTIC=living-loving FATHER!
