Is it BUILT ON ROCK?

How about the FOUNDATION

Of your SOUL?=Is

That built on rock too?

 

“Everyone who LISTENS

My old house=

The house that I GREW UP IN

Is still there

 

I believe it was

BUILT in 1929=and I am=GOD WILLING

 

Going to be 68 years old

IN a couple of months

 

And hopefully

My soul/my life

Has BUILT ON ROCK TOO

For the Lord=lives in MY HEART

Dwelling in my heart

DWELLING IN OUR HEARTS

And in our souls

 

“…….and I will DWELL

In the house

A house/a HOME=is

Where we once lived

 

We are=our hearts are

THE DWELLING PLACE=of God

He lives in us=and

He LIVES in our families=and close friends

DWELLING IN OUR HEARTS!

 

The bible tells us=

“We have a building

From God=A DWELLING

Not made with hands”                                                                                                  2 Corinthians 5:1

 

In this dwelling=in our hearts

The Lord shelters

You and me=and ALL

We hold dear to us

 

The Lord is

DWELLING IN OUR HEART!

 

“And in him=

You are being built together

TO BECOME A DWELLING

 

In which God lives

By his SPIRIT”                                                                                                                      Ephesians 2:22

 

“For God was pleased

To have=all his fullness

DWELL IN HIM (Jesus)”                                                                                                   Colossians 1:19

 

So build

THE interior of your soul

ON ROCK

 

Be carrying=what

You put in your HEART=

Fill it=with LOVE=forgiveness=and kindness

All those things=God and Jesus=want you to have

DWELLING IN YOUR HEART!

LIVING PROOF

It is SAD

When someone dies=

They are no longer ALIVE

And with us

In their PRESENCE

And their absence

Saint Andrew

 

Before Jesus

There was John

Andrew was

A disciple of John’s

 

One day

Jesus was walking

Beside the Sea of Galilee

He saw two brothers

Who were fishermen

And he said to them

“Come follow me

And I will make you fishers of men”

 

They immediately

Laid down their poles

And decided

To follow this mysterious man

 

Later on

Andrew was the one

Who found

The little boy

With the two fish

And the 5 barley loafs

And immediately

A miracle was done

 

After Jesus’ Resurrection

We don’t know where

But we know

Andrew preached God’s word

Wherever he could

Until he

Died a martyr’s death

 

Today there

Are many churches

Named in his honor

And he is

The patron Saint

Of Scotland and Russia

 

Tradition states

That if you say a certain prayer

Fifteen times between today and Christmas  

A miracle

May be possible

Today, November 30^th, is his feast day

And I was baptized

At Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church

February 6^th 1955, in Pittsburgh Pa.

WHEN God calls on you

THE ANSWER

When he=CALLS ON YOU

 

“Seek the Lord

The HOLY SPIRIT nudges us

In different ways

 

To make A CALL

To a sick friend

To give someone=A RAY OF HOPE

Or a pat on the back

AND SOME ENCOURAGEMENT

To keep on TRYING

 

ANSWER the Holy Spirit’s CALL

Right now=do not put off God

Until tomorrow

RESPONDING TO GOD’S CALL

A royal priesthood=a holy nation

God’s special possession

Been hated without reason

 

Because someone doesn’t like your looks

Or you remind them
Of someone else

 

Or you try to say something positive

Something complimentary

But your words are misunderstood

And you are never able to get past that

With that particular person

 

It has happened to me

I am sure that it has happened to you

 

It may surprise you to know

That this is exactly what happened

To Jesus Christ

 

2000 years ago

That IS EXACTLY what happened to Christ

 

Hated because

He didn’t look like

What they thought, THE MESSIAH,

Should look like

 

Hated

Because he could not---or WOULD NOT

Solve the economic problems of the day

 

Hated

Because he could not---or WOULD NOT

Overthrow the reigning army of the day

 

Hated---why

Because he brought PERFECT LOVE instead

 

I wonder

How we would respond today

In that very same situation

 

I shudder to say it

But I KNOW---in my heart

It wouldn’t be any different today

 

All we have to do

Is look at the way we treat one another

 

“All men

Will hate you because of me

But he who stands firm

That gives us the QUALITIES

So that we=NEVER FEEL LONELY AGAIN!

We are supposed

To be=LIVING

In a Christian Nation=

Living on Christ’s LOVE

 

We should be

COMING OUT of our churches=

SPREADING CHRIST’S LOVE

Not filling=our churches-

Our businesses with bullets

WHAT HAVE WE BECOME?

 

“…….pray that you have the STRENGTH……..

To stand before

THE SON OF MAN”                                                                                                                  Luke 21:36

 

We are FINISHING the

Church season once again

And pushing into

THE ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS SEASON

 

LOOKING FOR=

THE PEACE AND GOOD WILL

Of my fellow man

 

Trying to live

With PEACE AND GOODWILL

And love towards=our fellow man

Always and every day

ESPECIALLY during the CHRISTMAS SEASON

LOOKING FOR=PEACE AND GOOD WILL

 

“Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS

For they will be called

Children of God”                                                                                                                    Matthew 5:9

 

“PEACEMAKERS=who sow in peace=

Reap a harvest=of righteousness”                                                                                            James 3:18

 

Some day

We will have to

STAND BEFORE=the SON OF MAN

 

I hope we can

Give a GOOD ACCOUNT

Of our love=and the love

We brought

To our world=FOR OUR GOD

And for our neighbor

 

LOOKING FOR

PEACE AND GOOD WILL

Let us WALK with Joseph

As he takes Mary=and the baby Jesus

From Nazareth to Bethlehem

 

Let us VISIT Jesus

With the GIFT OF LOVE

Like the three wise men did

 

Let us=SING WITH THE ANGELS

An bring

PEACE AND GOOD WILL

To our world

And to OUR LOVING GOD

 

LOOKING FOR

PEACE AND GOOD WILL=and love

And hopefully finding it=in our FELLOW MAN

THIS Christmas season

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER living and loving=Holy Father God!
