MAKING STEPS OF PEACE

 

THANKSGIVING is approaching

And I have=SO MUCH

To be thankful for

 

I have LIFE

I have friends=and I have

A roof OVER my head

And food on the table=

REACHING OUT to all others

MAKING STEPS OF PEACE

For our world

 

“As Jesus drew near Jerusalem=

He saw the city

And WEPT over it=saying

 

‘IF this day

You only knew

WHAT MAKES FOR PEACE……..’”                                                                                           Luke 19:41-42

 

UNFORTUNATELY=as we approach Thanksgiving

Much of this world

IS IN CONFLICT=Battling

Over one thing or another

 

Some of us

Are EVEN in conflict

WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Fortunately for me=I

Don’t have that problem=right now

MAKING STEPS OF PEACE

 

“In their hearts=

Humans plan their course

But the Lord=ESTABLISHES THEIR STEPS”                                                                                          Proverbs 16:9

 

“Lord I know

That people’s lives

Are NOT their own

 

It is=not for them

TO DIRECT THEIR STEPS”                                                                                                                 Jeremiah 10:23

 

“To this=you were called

Because Christ suffered for you

Leaving you an example

 

That you should follow

IN HIS STEPS”                                                                                                                             2 Peter 2:21

 

NOW is a good time

TO PRAY to the Lord=invite him

To bring THANKSGIVING PEACE

To your table=this year

MAKING STEPS OF PEACE!

 

Maybe there are=some topics

You should stay away from

Maybe you should concentrate

On SPREADING=the love of God

 

We can’t choose how others

Will behave=but we

CAN RESPOND

With kindness and LOVE

MAKING STEPS OF PEACE

 

“You will

KEEP IN PERFECT PEACE

 

Those whose minds

Are steadfast

Because they trust in you”                                                                                                 Isaiah 26:3

 

“Therefore since we

Have been justified=through faith

 

WE HAVE PEACE=with God

Through our Lord Jesus Christ”                                                                                  Romans 5:1

 

So show up this THANKSGIVING

With love and kindness

IN YOUR HEART=and

Pass it along to others

 

TREAT OTHERS=like you

Would like to be treated

Take the steps of peace

MAKING STEPS OF PEACE!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our Holy PEACE-living=peace-LOVING=Holy Father God!
