WHAT LIES WITHIN US
What lies within us
Is who we are
What lies within us
Is the essence
Of our soul
What lies within us
Is what we show the world
What lies within you
Is it love
Is it hatred
Is it kindness
Is it crudeness and rudeness
What are you
Showing the world
What lies within us
Should be love
What lies within us
Should be forgiveness
What lies within us
Should be kindness

Today is the feast day of Saint Martin of Tours.
He was a monk, a bishop, and turned out to be
One of the most popular Saints of the middle ages.
Legend has it that he once kissed a beggar-and that evening
Christ appeared to him wearing the same cloak that Martin
Had given the beggar.
“What you do to the least of my brothers……..
That you do unto me”
