WE ARE IMPERFECT!

WE ARE IMPERFECT!


It may come as a SURPRISE
To some=but we are=
IMPERFECT PEOPLE=and LENT is
The PERFECT TIME to
EXAMINE our conscience


And examine our faults=
Because if we don't


It is EASY to miss God=it is
Easy to easy to miss the BEAUTY of
The PRESENT moment


And it is easy to get stuck
In resentment and get stuck
On indulging or NURSING a grudge


“Have MERCY on me=O GOD=
In your goodness


In the greatness of your compassion
Wipe out my offense” Psalm 51:3


We need to SLOW ourselves down-sometimes-
And take a good hard luck
At our faults


We need to EXAMINE ourselves=
And examine our FAULTS


“The Lord is IN his holy temple
The Lord is on
His heavenly throne


He OBSERVES
Everyone on earth-
His EYES EXAMINE them” Psalm 11:4


“Test me Lord=and TRY ME
EXAMINE my heart
And my mind” Psalm 26:2


“EXAMINE yourself
To see whether-
You are in the FAITH


Test yourselves-
Do you not realize
That Christ Jesus is IN YOU


Unless of course
You fail the test?” 2 Corinthians 13:5


Of course=Lord=we ALL fail
The test=


NOT the test of faith
Not the test of our LOVE
FOR YOU


It is just that we are=
I am=IMPERFECT LORD


And we look forward
To the FREEDOM of
Your forgiveness


We are IMPERFECT people=Lord=
But we TRY to never fail
THE TEST OF LOVE!


“Let no debt REMAIN OUTSTANDING=
Except the CONTINUING DEBT
To love one another


For whoever lovers others
Has FULFILLED the law” Romans 13:8


I BELIEVE in a God
Who LOVES US=rather than
A punitive God=who is
Looking to punish us


I just think we NEED to=
Look at HOW our imperfections
Keep us from being more FULLY AWARE


Of how we can LIVE
With JOY AND COMPASSION
Towards each other


We MUST LOVE ONE ANOTHER=at
All costs=looking THROUGH each
Others' imperfections


“For this is the MESSAGE=
You heard
From the beginning


We should LOVE ONE ANOTHER” 1 John 3:11


Dear Lord=we are IMPERFECT PEOPLE


But we KNOW that you forgive us=
As we ATTEMPT to forgive one another


Please HELP us LOVE PERFECTLY=
Like you


In your name=and the name of your ALMIGHTY FATHER
