A NEWNESS IN 2014




This past July
My niece, Lindsay,
Bought a brand-new 4-door red Hyundai Elantra


Don't you
Just love That new car sell


And when I
Was at her house
This past November
I could still smell
That new car smell


That is the way
We are with God
IF we are in constant communication with him
ALWAYS feeling BRAND NEW


“He put
A new song in my mouth
A hymn of praise
To our God


MANY will see and fear
And PUT THEIR TRUST
In the Lord” Psalm 40:3


And come January 1^st, 2014
If we aren't
feeling brand new
We can feel
BRAND NEW AGAIN


ALL we have to do
Is to remember
To KEEP God
In our life
As we celebrate
OUR NEW PLANS
OUR NEW HOPES
and OUR NEW DREAMS


“Therefore
If anyone is in Christ
He is a NEW CREATION
The old has gone
THE NEW HAS COME” 2 Corinthians 5:17


CREATE in yourself
A brand new start
In 2014


Create new plans-new hopes-new dreams
IF your old plans
Aren't working out


And if they are
Working out
Create a new dedication-and commitment
TO YOUR OLD DREAM


They can still work out
If we are patient
Because,
“ALL things are possible in God” Mark 10:27


And if we
NEED to be RE-CREATED
IN GOD-IN OUR LORD
We know
We can do that too


And there is no better time
To begin-Than right now
January 1^st, 2014


“I will
Give you a new heart
And put a new spirit
In you


….....


YOU WILL be my people
And I will be your God” Ezekiel 9:26-28


So
NOT ONLY
Do we have
New plans-new hopes-new dreams


IF we screwed up


WE have
A NEW SPIRIT OF GOD within us


We have a new chance
To RECOMMIT ourselves to God
Because we are his people
And our God
IS a God of INFINITE CHANCES


And so
As my niece, Lindsay's car
Retained that fresh smell
For many months


I wish you
That NEWNESS OF SPIRIT
For ALL of 2014
And beyond


“Yet I am writing you
A new command


IT'S TRUTH is seen in him
And you


Because the darkness is passing
And the TRUE LIGHT
IS ALREADY SHINING” 1 John 2:8


And this true light
IS GOD'S LOVE


MAY it SHINE in you
Far into the year
Of 2014
