JOURNAL/DOUBT

"FOR the Lord will NOT cast off his people-NOR abandon his inheritance"    Psalm 94:14

ONE of the toughest things for us to remember is that the Lord will NEVER abandon us-for many of us self-doubt is the biggest demon that we face

The Lord OUR GOD loves you-and me-and everyone of us

"Nor height-nor depth-nor any other creature-shall  be able to separate us from the LOVE OF GOD-which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"

it is a GREAT DAY to be ALIVE in God's NEVER ENDING-EVER LASTING love for us






WITNESS

DOUBT


Are you like me
Do you ever have a little
Just a tinge of doubt
That God is alive
Living in today’s world
Living in you
And
Living in me


Do we
Have to be
Like the great Saint Thomas
Do we need to see
To believe


Doubts doubts
Why should we have them
The Lord
Has always come through
He came through
For Abraham and Sarah
He brought them a baby
Even though Sarah was about 92


Doubts doubts
No reason to have them
God has always come through
Just continue
To hang on to your faith
And he will come through
For you too


He came through for Moses
Parted the Red Sea
Even though
Moses never lived to see it
Joshua and his people
Inherited the Promised Land


Doubts doubts
No reason to have them
You have to know
With a little faith
God will always come through


Thomas said,
“Unless I see the nail marks
In his hands and put my finger
Where the nails were
And put my hand in his side
I will not believe it’


So Dear Lord
We ask you
To replace our doubt
With faith
And not to ask to see
To believe


But we know
Like Thomas
That that is what it will take
For some of us to believe


A week later
Jesus appeared again
Thomas was there this time
Jesus said, “Thomas put your finger here
---see my hands
Reach out your hand and put it into my side
Stop doubting and believe”


Seeing is believing
For most of us
But for some of us
It just takes
A little faith


God has always come through

Ps WITNESS 4-7-13




“Immediately-Jesus reached out his hand and caught him-
“You of little faith”-he said-“why did you doubt?”
Matthew 14:31 ( Jesus to Peter after he FAILED to walk on the water )


“Have FAITH in God,” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth-if anyone says to this
Mountain-‘Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not DOUBT in his heart-but
BELIEVES what he says will happen-it will be DONE for him.”
Mark 21:22-23 ( about Jesus the withered fig tree)


“BE MERCIFUL to those who DOUBT-snatch others from the fire and save them
To others show mercy mixed with fear-hating even the clothing stained by
Corrupted flesh”
Jude :22
