People were
Running here

Running there
The whole town
Was in a panic


Except the one man
Who just kept
Playing cards


Finally a woman
Approached him and said,
“Charles, don’t you have
Something to do
Some affairs
To put in order”


Charles looked
At the woman and said,
“What could be more important
Than playing cards with the Lord”
