HOW DO WE LOVE?

HOW DO YOU LOVE? At the LAST SUPPER- Jesus told his apostles- To “LOVE ONE ANOTHER” But what does that mean-and HOW DO WE LOVE? Perhaps there is some wiggle room For the way we really do Love one another IF we really do LOVE one another at all “As I have loved you You should also Love one another” John 13:34 The word LOVE is abstract And is overused And we must also remember It is also a VERB And it must convey Some type of action We SAY we love all kinds of things In this world We love our FAMILY AND FRIENDS But we also love sports- Love our computer and cell phones- And even love ALL types of foods Jesus loves us PATIENTLY- He loves us unselfishly- And he loves us INCLUSIVELY- Forgivingly-and TOTALLY That is our MISSION in life To love our “neighbor”- To love every other person In this world-that way “I waited PATIENTLY For the Lord He turned to me And heard me cry” Psalm 40:1 Dear Lord-please HELP US be patient And love others In that same way-you love us “The generous will themselves Be BLESSED For they share their food With the poor” Proverbs 22:9 Dear Lord-HELP us To be GENEROUS and unselfish In our love for others And Dear Lord always help us To LOVE TOTALLY-INCLUSIVELY- And forgivingly for all- JUST as you did GIVING yourself for your people The JEWS- Giving yourself for us too- The GENTILES And for EVERY single person In this world Help us to do the same ONE question we might ALL Ask ourselves is: Which one of the areas Do we need a little help with? HOW DO WE LOVE? Dear Lord-help us to love others As YOU have loved us YOU are the PERFECT EXAMPLE of love In this world We can’t do it on our own Robert P.
