When I didn’t know what to do

When I didn’t have a clue

Yes I found myself in you

 

I found myself in love

I found myself in forgiveness

I found myself

Everywhere that there was kindness

 

I found myself

In the heart of a child

I found myself in the smile of a friend

I found myself in the stranger walking by

For God’s sake

We don’t even know

Where they might have been

 

When I didn’t know what to do

When I didn’t have a clue

Yes

I found myself in you

 

I found myself

In the so-called “losers” of this world

I found myself in you

 

You have to remember

There for the grace of God go I

I found myself in you

 

So when I didn’t know what to do

When I didn’t have a clue

In every other human being

In this world

I found myself in you

Ps        If you are LOST on this highway of life-a great reading is Luke 15

            Where Jesus tells the Pharisees 3 parables when they ask him

            Why he welcomes sinners and eats with them

 

            He tells the story of ONE LOST SHEEP

            He tells the story of ONE LOST COIN

            And he tells the story of ONE LOST SON

            And his LOVING FATHER

 

And in Matthew 9:12—Jesus tells the Pharisees when questioned

About eating with sinners:

 

“It is not the healthy who need a Doctor

But the sick”

 

But go and learn what this means

 

“I desire mercy not sacrifice”

 

For I have not come

To call the righteous-but sinners”

 

No matter where you are on this journey we call life

No one is so far gone as to be lost to God

 

Don’t give up on yourself because

GOD WILL NEVER EVER GIVE UP ON YOU

            

ONLY IN JESUS!=DOES HUMAN SUFFERING MAKE SENSE

 

 

 

 

 

 

ONLY IN JESUS!=Does

(HUMAN SUFFERING Make Sense)

 

HUMAN SUFFERING=Does not make any sense=Yet

We ALL=have to ENDURE IT

 

It doesn’t make ant sense=When we are SUFFERINING

PHYSICALLY=or have an illness=It doesn’t make ANY SENSE

If we are suffering financially=IF we are being honest

 

And it doesn’t make any sense=WHEN we suffer=in

RELATIONSHIPS=when we LOSE someone in death=or

FOR any other reason

 

IN FACT=there is=ONLY ONE SUFFERING=in all

Of human history=that makes any sense=AT ALL=and

That is=THE SUFFERING of Jesus Christ

 

For=he was DOING IT=for all of us=He was TEACHING US

If he could do it=We can do it too=We can do it too=IF

It is with Jesus=ONLY IN JESUS!

 

“Yet=it was the Lord’s will=TO CRUSH him=and

Cause him=TO SUFFER=and though the Lord=Makes his life

an offering for sin=he will see

 

His offspring=and prolong his days=and the WILL

Of the Lord=will prosper=In his hand”                                                                                                  Isaiah 53:10

 

“He then began to teach them=the Son of Man=

MUST SUFFER many things=and be rejected by the elders=

The chief priests=and the teachers=of the law=and that

He must killed=and after three days=RISE AGAIN”                                                              Mark 8:31

 

That is right=my friends=Jesus teaches us=That OUR

SUFFERING=makes sense=ONLY IN HIM!=Our suffering

By itself=SERVES NO PURPOSE

 

Our suffering=makes sense=ONLY IN JESUS!=Only

By SHARING our sufferings=with Jesus can our suffering

DO any good=for anyone

 

But when we=SHARE our suffering=with Jesus=He

WALKS WITH US=He will take our sufferings=and HELP OTHERS

Our suffering=makes senses=ONLY IN JESUS!=When we

UNIFY our sufferings with his=for we NEVER WALK ALONE=We

Walk with God=We walk with Jesus=ONLY IN JESUS!

 

“Teach them=to your children=Talking about them=when

You sit at home=and when YOU WALK=along the road=when

You lie down=and when you get up”                                                                                            Deuteronomy 11:19

 

“Come descendants of Jacob=LET US WALK=in

The light of the Lord”                                                                                                                    Isaiah 2:5

 

“Stand at the crossroads=and look=ask for the ancient

Paths=Ask where the good way is=and WALK IN IT=and

You will find rest=for your souls”                                                                                                   Jeremiah 6:16

 

My dear brothers and sisters=ALWAYS REMEMBER that

HUMAN SUFFERING=in and of itself=makes NO SENSE

At all

 

ONLY IN JESUS!=does it make sense=Only by SHARING it

With Jesus=and UNIT ING IT=Can our suffering make any sense=Can

Any good come out of it=ONLY IN JESUS!=can we FIND

REASON=for human suffering=and never walk alone!

 

“Whoever dwells=in the shelter of=THE MOST HIGH=       

WILL REST=in the shadow=Of the Almighty”                                                                                   Psalm 91:1

 

“Come to me=All you who are weary and burdened=and I

WILL GIVE YOU REST”                                                                                                                           Matthew 11:28

 

So REST=In Jesus my friends=SHARE your sufferings with Jesus

For the SAKE of others=for HUMAN SUFFERING=makes no sense

Without him=ONLY IN JESUS!=can we ever rise again

GOOD NEWS=from people like our Brother Barnabas

 

WHO IS Barnabas?=If you don’t know=You will KNOW

A little more=after today=He always ENCOURAGED OTHERS

To come to God and Jesus=Like we all should do=Even

IN today’s world=ENCOURAGING OTHERS=to COME

To God and Jesus Christ

 

“When Barnabas ARRIVED=and saw the GRACE of God=

He rejoiced=and ENCOURAGED THEM ALL…….”                                                                      Acts 11:23

 

Here are some CLUES=about our brother Barnabas=Who

Was an ENCOURAGING of others=like WE=all should be

 

“Joseph=A Levite=from Cyprus=whom the apostles

Called Barnabas(which means=’SON OF ENCOURAGEMENT’)=

Sold a field he owned=and brought the money=and put it

At the apostles’ feet”                                                                                                                              Acts 4:36-37

 

“He(Barnabas)=was a good man=FULL of the Holy Spirit=

Spirit=and faith=and a great number of people=Were brought

To the Lord”                                                                                                                                          Acts 11:24

 

I have a FRIEND=named Nicholis W=who calls himself=

THE ENCOURAGEANAIRE==Who is a GREAT ENCOURAGER

Of others=Just like Barnabas was=Just like we all should be=WE

Should ALL=encourage others=to COME TO the Holy Father God=

And Jesus=Every day of our lives=I call Nicholis every day=TO ENCOURAGE

HIM=just like he always=DOES FOR ME

 

“You Lord=Hear the desire of the afflicted=YOU ENCOURAGE THEM=

With others?=And are you=using GOD’S WORDS=to

Help someone with them?=ENCOURAGING OTHERS!=Encourage

Someone=with LOVE TODAY=with your GENEROSITY of prayer

 

“Good will come=to those=who are GENEROUS=and lend freely=

Who conduct their affairs=with justice”                                                                                            Psalm 112:5

 

“THE GENEROUS=will themselves be blessed=for they

Share their food=with the poor”                                                                                                         Proverbs 22:9

 

“Command them to be good=to be rich in good deeds=and

TO BE GENEROUS=and willing to share”                                                                                            1 Timothy 6:18

 

SO BE GENEROUS=be kind=and ENCOURAGING to others

In thought=word=and deed=Like Barnabas was=Like Nicholis

THE ENCOURAGEANAIRE is=and so MANY of my FAMILY and friends

Have been with me=And DO NOT DISCOUNT=the gift of PRAYER

We give to others=THAT IS ENCOURAGING TOO

 

Let us GIVE THANKS=to those GENEROUS ENCOURAGERS

Of others=in today’s world=and MAY we ourselves TRY and

ENCOURAGE someone and PRAY=for them today=WHERE would be

Without the GIFT OF ENCOURAGEMENT?

We’ve been patiently awaiting another chance

But we never really thought that it would come

It’s surprising what patience can do

Thought it was the end

Today is a great day

To be alive

The sun is shining

And we feel good

 

But for many of us

In this world

It is going to be their last day

They don’t know it

But we will die

Both saints and sinners

 

But it is also a day

Where many children are being born

All over the world

 

There is a 1 in 20 chance

That we will be born in America

 

Why are we so lucky

 

Most people are born to

Non-Christian families

Muslim, Buddhist, etc.,

 

Why are we so lucky

 

In India

You are lucky to live

To be a year old

Or if you are lucky

You might live

And just be sick

Your entire life

 

Why are we so lucky

 

I don’t know the answer

But I do know

Where much is given

Much is expected

 

I do know

God gave us a tremendous opportunity

God gave us a gift-LIFE

 

What we do with our life

Is our gift back to God

THERE IS NO LIMIT=To the DEPTHS

(Of God’s LOVE for us)

 

SOME of us=FEEL like=we are NOT GOOD ENOUGH=

To be LOVED BY GOD=that we MADE this mistake=or

That mistake=or did that WRONG=that OUR GOD

Would never forgive us=or LOVE US ANYMORE

 

I have some=GOOD NEWS for you=NOTHING is

Further from the TRUTH=than that=There is NO LIMIT=to

THE DEPTHS=of GOD’S LOVE FOR YOU=or forgiveness

“…….I will LAY DOWN=my life for the sheep”                                                                           John 10:15

 

And he did=He gave EVERY OUNCE of himself=FOR ME

For you=for all of us=He LOVES us INFINITELY=and withholds

NOTHING from us

 

Some of us FEEL REJECTED=and worthless=Some of us

BELIEVE GOD loves others=but he could NEVER LOVE ME=He

Could never forgive me=for the KIND of person

That I was=But he does=HE LOVES YOU!=He loves every person

IN this world=and he FORGIVES you too=If you turn to him

With a SINCERE HEART=and tell him=You are sorry

 

There is NO LIMIT=to the DEPTHS OF GOD”S LOVE

For you

 

“The Spirit=searches all things=even the DEEP THINGS=

Of God=For who knows=a person’s thoughts=except their

Own spirit=within them”                                                                                                                1 Corinthians 2:10

 

“They must keep hold=of the DEEP TRUTHS=of faith

With a clear conscience”                                                                                                            1 Timothy 3:9

 

God’s love for us=is REAL=God’s love for you=IS REAL

There is NO LIMITS=or boundaries=on God’ s love=for any

Of us=He loves you with an INFINITE HEART=and

BOUNDLESS MERCY

 

IF we really know=HOW MUCH our God=our Jesus=really

Loves us=we would CRY OUT IN JOY=Our hearts would overfill

With GRATITUDE=for our loving Heavenly Father God=our

Loving Jesus

 

“Splendor and majesty=are before him=Strength and

JOY=are in his dwelling place”                                                                                                     1 Chronicles 16:27

 

“Restore to me=THE JOY=of your salvation=and grant me

AMAZING STORY=what wonderful GOOD NEWS for us all

 

If we believe this=It should MOTIVATE US ALL=to SHARE

This good news with everyone=The love of God is for us all=

THERE IS NO LIMITS=on God’s love

Dear Lord=we pray=that we KNOW=THE INFINITE LOVE

And MERCY=of the Holy Father God and Jesus=gets to

BE KNOWN for all of us=For

WE live in a world=That ATTEMPTS to EXCLUDE

This group=or that group=for the BENEFITS

Of this life

 

But our GOD=does NOT WORK=that way=OUR GOD

Our Jesus=attempts to=INCLUDE EVERYONE=we need

LOOK NO FURTHER=than Jesus’ words=and we

Look no further=Than the GOSPEL OF LUKE=specifically

Chapters 10 and 15

 

A S APPRECIATIVE AS EVER=for the WORD of God

Today=and FOREVER MORE

 

“How can a young person=stay on the path=of purity?=

By living=ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD”                                                                                       Psalm 119:9

 

“I have=HIDDEN YOUR WORD=in my heart=that I

Might not sin=Against you”                                                                                                                     Psalm 119:11

 

“Heaven and earth=will pass away=BUT MY WORDS=

Will never pass away”                                                                                                                  Matthew 24:35

 

Jesus tells us=to LOVE the Holy Father God=with our

Whole heart=whole mind=and whole soul=and he also

TELLS US=to LOVE our neighbor as ourself=and IN chapter ten=

Of Saint Luke’s gospel=he SPECIFICALLY tells us=That

OUE NEIGHBOR=is every other person=IN THIS WORLD

 

“Jesus said in reply’=’But a SAMARITAN=as he traveled=came

Where a man was=and when he saw him=HE TOOK PITY

On him=He went to him=

 

And BANDAGED his wounds=pouring on oil and wine=Then

He put the man=on his own donkey=brought him to an inn=and

TOOK CARE OF HIM’”                                                                                                                              Luke 10:33-34

 

Jesus goes on=to tell us=that THE NEIGHBOR=was the man

Who took MERCY on him

 

MY FRIENDS=my brothers and sisters=WE LIVE in a hateful

World=a hateful country=WHERE NOBODY CARES about

Anybody else

 

UNTIL=we get back to=APPRECIATING GOD’S WORD=and

LOVING EACH OTHER=having a world=BUILT ON INCLUSIVE LOVE=

NOT exclusivity=we are DESTINED TO FAIL

 

Dear friends=I am=AS APPRECIATIVE AS EVER=for the WORD

OF God=and his love=The BAD NEWS is=we have gotten

It wrong thus far=but the GOOD NEWS=is=that we have

 

The TIME=to get it right=As Jesus tells us=IN CHAPTER 15

Of Saint Luke’s gospel=for we worship=A MERCIFUL GOD

 

For God=STILL VALUES US=like the ONE lost sheep=the one

Lost coin=and the ONE lost Son=IN SEARCH=of his loving

Father

 

“But the Father=said to his servants’=’Bring the best robe=and put

It on him=Put a ring on his finger=and sandals=on his feet=Bring

The fattened calf=and kill it=Let’s have a feast

 

And celebration=for this SON=of mine was dead=and

IS ALIVE AGAIN=He was lost and is found=so they BEGAN

MY FRIENDS=we have it all wrong=we are excluding=

(The LIVING BREAD=of God)

 

The biggest=GIFT=we can ever give anyone=

IS the gift of OURSELF=Jesus did that=FOR ME/

FOR YOU=for every SINGLE one of us=WHETHER

We believe=in him=OR NOT

HE GIVES US HIMSELF!=He is the LIVING BREAD

Of God

 

“I am the LIVING BREAD=that came down from heaven=

WHOEVER eats this bread=will live FOREVER=and the bread

That I will give=is MY FLESH=for the LIFE=of the world”                                                                John 6:51

 

EVERY DAY=in countless venues=Around the world=

AT MASS=Jesus GIVES HIMSELF= to us=in the EUCHARIST

He gives us=THE GIFT OF HIMSELF!=the LIVING BREAD=

Of God and LIFE

 

And EVERY SUNDAY=in COUNTLESS Christian Churches=

Around the world=Jesus gives us=THE GIFT=of himself too!

 

I AM=ONLY alive=in this world today=Because of MY BELIEF

In the Holy Father God=and in JESUS HIMSELF=because of them

HAVING=given of themselves to me=to US=to EVERY single

One of us=GIVING US HIMSELF!=having life=BECAUSE OF GOD!

 

“My people=have committed two sins=They have forsaken me=

The spring of=LIVING WATER=and have dug their own cisterns=

Broken cisterns=That cannot hold water”                                                                                             Jeremiah 2:13

 

“I am=The God=of Abraham=the God of Isaac=and the

God of Jacob=He is NOT the God=of the dead=but of

THE LIVING”                                                                                                                                                 Matthew 22:32

 

“Therefore I urge you=brothers and sisters=in view of=

God’s mercy=to offer your bodies=as a LIVING SACRIFICE=

Holy and pleasing to God=-------this is your true=and

Proper worship”                                                                                                                                                Romans 12:1

 

It is ONLY 2+ weeks=since Easter=WHEN Jesus gave us

His total body=HIS TOTAL SELF=to us=Physically=and

Mentally=and spiritually=and he CONTINUES to give us

HIS TOTAL SELF=every day=GIVING US HIMSELF!=The

LIVING BREAD of God and LIFE

 

Dear Lord=We thank you=for DYING on the cross=for us

WE thank you=for GIVING US NEW LIFE=through the

GIFT OF YOURSELF=body=blood and soul=

YOUR WHOLE SELF!

 

GIVING US HIMSELF!=the GIFT of the LIVING BODY=

And blood= of Jesus Christ!

 

“He humbled you=Causing you to hunger=and then

Feeding you with mana=Which neither you=nor your ancestors=

Had known=to teach you=that man does not=live

ON BREAD ALONE=but on every word=that comes from=

The mouth=of the Lord”                                                                                                                        Deuteronomy 8:3

 

“Keep falsehood and lies=far from me=give me

Neither poverty nor riches=But give me=only my

DAILY BREAD”                                                                                                                                                Proverbs 30;8

 

“For I received=from the Lord=what I also passed on

To you=The Lord Jesus=On the night he was betrayed=

Took bread=and when he had given thanks=He broke it

And said’=

 

‘This is BODY=which is for you=do this in Remembrance

Of me’”                                                                                                                                                 1 Corinthians 11:23-24

 

Dear Lord=we PRAY=and say THANK YOU=for the

GIFT OF YOURSELF=In body=mind=and DIVINE SOUL

The LIVING BREAD=OF LIFE

 

And we will ALWAYS ATTEMPT=to give our lives=back=

To you=THE BODY AND BLOOD=of our LIVES

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name= of our FOREVER LIVING=Forever loving

Holy Father God!

How is it that we live in the richest country in the world

And we have 50 million people WITHOUT health care?

 

How is it?

 

How is it that we live in the richest country in the world

And have millions and millions of people living below the poverty line and

without food?

 

How is it?

 

How is it that we are supposed to life in a moral country and we are spending billions

And billions of dollars on the stripping, and pornographic industries?

 

How is it?

 

How is it that there are 3 billion cases of reported sexual child abuse in our country

A year?

 

How is it?

 

HOW IS IT?

WITH THE HELP=OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

 

WITH THE HELP=OF THE HOLY SPIRIT=WE CAN

STILL LIVE CLEAN LIVES

 

 

 

 

 

WITH THE HELP=OF THE HOLY SPIRIT=

(We can live=A CLEAN LIFE)

 

More than ever=THE DEVIL=is prowling around=

TRYING to take=each one of us down=but we can

With the HELP=of the Holy Spirit=survive=We can

STAY CLEAN=from going down=to Spiritual attacks=

We can STAY=in the LOVE OF GOD=with THE HELP

Of the Holy Spirit=we can=LIVE A CLEAN LIFE

 

“FOR UNCLEAN SPIRITS=Crying out=in a loud voice=

Came out=of many possessed people=and many paralyzed

And crippled people were cured=There was GREAT JOY=

In the city”                                                                                                                                   John 6:35-40

 

WHEN we=are NOT living=IN the love of God=when we

Are NOT staying ATTACHED to=THE SPIRIT of God=We

Can fall prey=TO UNCLEAN SPIRITS

 

There are ANY NUMBER=of things we can LOSE=

Ourselves to=in this world=things like SELFISHNESS=

Gossiping=TRYING to be too perfect=NOT TO MENTION=

 

Things like=drug addiction=alcoholism=pornography=and

LOSING OURSELVES=to materialism=IN this overly

Secular world=that we all live in

 

But=WITH THE HELP=OF THE HOLY SPIRIT=we CAN

Stay alive in God=With the HELP=of the Holy Spirit=

We can=still LIVE A CLEAN LIFE

 

“I baptize you=with water=for repentance=but after me

Comes one=who is more powerful than I=whose sandals I=

Am not worthy=to carry=He with baptize you=with

THE HOLY SPIRIT=and fire”                                                                                                             Matthew 3:11

 

“If you then=though you are evil=know how to=

Give good gifts=to your children=How much more will

Your Father=in heaven=give the HOLY SPIRIT=to those

Who ask him”                                                                                                                                      Luke 11:13

 

“God IS SPIRIT=and his worshipers=must worship=

IN THE SPIRIT=and in truth”                                                                                                              John 4:24

 

Many of us=ARE WOUNDED=in this world=by the

ATTACKS of one thing=or another=the ATTACKS of

Unclean spirits=Maybe not possessed like 2,000

Years ago=but still wounded=KEEPING US

 

From staying CLOSE=to God’s love=and living

MORALLY UPRIGHT LIVES=and keeping us

From living=THE CLEAN LIFE=IN GOD’S LOVE

 

But with the HELP=of the Holy Spirit=we CAN STAY CLOSE

To GOD’S LOVE=in this tempting world

 

“Peter replied’=’Repent and be baptized=every one

Of you=in the name of Jesus Christ=for the forgiveness=

Of your sins=And you will receive the gift of=

THE HOLY SPIRIT’”                                                                                                                               Acts 2:38

 

“You=however=are not in the realm=of the flesh=but are

IN the realm=OF THE SPIRIT=if indeed the SPIRIT OF GOD=

Lives in you”                                                                                                                                       Romans 8:9

 

“He has made us competent=as ministers of a=

New covenant=-------not of the letter=but OF THE SPIRIT=

For the letter kills= but he=SPIRIT GIVES LIFE”                                                                        2 Corinthians 3:6

 

Dear Lord=Dear HOLY SPIRIT of God and LOVE=we

Pray to you=for GOD’S LIFE in us=for we know

 

With the HELP=OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD=we can

Live CLEAN LIVES=and live IN =the Holy Spirit of God

Forever more

 

In Jesus’ name=and IN the name=of our FOREVER LIVING=forever loving
