THE BOOK OF HEBREWS

The author
Of the book of Hebrews-is unknown

It may be by any
Or all of the following:

Apollos-Barnabas-Clement-Luke
-Paul-Priscilla-or Silas

Refers to a small group of Hebrews
Located in Rome
Probably believers about 65 or 70 AD

The persecution of the new church
Is at hand
And many of he new followers
Are taking some steps backwards

The author of this book
Expresses the freedom
Found in Christ
And appeals to their knowledge
Of the Old Testament
To HOLD ON to their faith

This writer
Appeals to the Jewish Christians
By telling them
That their present suffering for Christ
Will be followed
By eternal glory with him

The author stresses
That the NEW COVENANT though Christ
Replaces the old covenant
And that the price
Is PAID IN FULL
By the blood of Jesus Christ

And he stresses that Christianity
Is MORE THAN a religion
It is A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP
With our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

He encourages us be defining FAITH
And detailing the lives of:

Abel-Enoch-Noah-Abraham-Isaac-Jacob-Joseph-and Moses

Jesus has already won the victory
And we are to SHARE our testimony
With each other
To strengthen and encourage one another
